I am very disappointed in their online billing system. I prepaid for the year and their system did not take into account the full year of services for which I had prepaid. Also, I still have many spots where the seeding they spread last fall, did not grow and my husband had to manually reseed himself.

This is my second review for lawn Dr.....I just want to express my thoughts....as stated before Im very satisfied with lawn dr....the fact that they spread there treatments out for every 6 weeks is wonderful...the other lawn service did not do this and then I would fall behind on my account and couldnt catch up and ending up in collections......I am able to stay current with Lawn dr ..... ....I have reached out to lawn dr several times about making the switch, this time I followed thru and happy I did....

We have always had a decent lawn , but this year was having a tough time with clover. Always have used a 4 step program on our lawn. My neighbor uses this company. We decided to give it a try. You can customize your plan. I noticed a difference after the second treatment. Thrilled with the result and will continue to use them. My wife and I built our home 18 years ago and over the years I have use many different lawn companies in the area not to mention any names. But I switched to Lawn Doctor three years ago and I have never in the past gotten the service or the results from any other company I have used before than I have with Lawn Doctor From the office staff taking the calls to the manager, Scott and my tech Michael grams who I have dealt with since I started. whenever I have called about an issue, the secretaries always took my information and everything they told me about someone getting back to me was always prompt ,professional and courteous to the point where if the tech could not come out and address the situation, Scott would take it upon himself and come out the next day and resolve the issue at no charge. Mr.Grams always goes over and above when treating my property I ve seen him many times when I ve been home. My biggest pet peeve over the years with other companies was blowing off my stamped concrete patio in the back when they would spread product. Because the chemicals can damage the concrete and the color.Which has happened in the past from other companies, who did not take fault, which was costly on my end to repair with that being said, I would recommend Lawn Doctor to anyone that I know or do not know if I was asked for a referral. This was my first service with Lawn Doctor. The technician, Mike Grams, called me as requested when he arrived so that I could point out places on the lawn where we were growing plants and shrubs of personal value to us. He took care to avoid spraying those plants as part of his service. I appreciated him taking the time to listen to my concerns and following up with a detailed review of findings, next steps and future considerations.

I have used Lawn Doctor for many years now. Prior to this I used ChemLawn and Scott s service. Lawndoctor management and technicians really care about the lawn and the services they provide. For the last few years, Mark has been my technician and I m very pleased with how careful he is in his applications of fertilizer and spot weed control. My lawn is the envy of the neighborhood. Historically I have had issues with violets spreading through my lawn: they have an effective treatment for this weed. If by chance they miss a certain section of the lawn, a call to them generates a service visit where they will return to treat the missed area. This is my first year with The Lawn Doctor. So far the staff have been very professional and courteous when interacting with me. My lawn needed some extra attention and the technician made some recommendations. I really didn t want to spend a lot of money but I decided to do the aeration and seeding. The grass looks better now but it has a ways to go. I m hoping that by next season my lawn will come in looking healthier and it will be easier to maintain.

Ive been using Lawn doctor for two years now and after their most recent visit they didnt clean the treatment materials off my front walkway and also forgot to close the gate to my backyard. This resulted in my dog getting loose and lost for a period of time. I called their customer support line and they apologized. Still unhappy at the moment.

Lawn Doctor of Waltham-Lexington performed the first of spring fertilizer service on March 3, 2022; the Service Technicians Josh and Craig were impressive professionals that went about their duties in quick but certain performance. On April 5, 2022, I choose to pre-pay for the season and was accurately guided in choosing the particular services that I needed by Derek, the General Manager. Earlier in the day I communicated with Sandy of Customer Service and she set me up with the Aeration process, and was very patient with my inquiry. This was my introduction to Lawn Doctor and I am quite favorably impressed. It is too early to determine the results of the grass seeding and weed control thus far, although I can definitely report that if it matches the courtesy and personal response to date, it will be quite acceptable. Stay tuned.

I have been a satisfied customer of Lawn Doctor for several years now and have never been disappointed in their services. However, I recently had my lawn power seeded and want to further comment on the outstanding service I received. As a senior citizen I am not always able to do what needs to be done. We had a terrible problem with lawn dirt patches (that were spreading). We have had our lawn professionally treated for over 5 years with another company. Late summer early fall of 2021 we noticed the dirt patches spreading. Called the previous company to address, no response from them. Contacted Lawn Doctor in the early spring - we are so pleased with them! The technician came out and walked the areas of concern with me. They put a plan together and I am happy to share we have GRASS GROWING in spots that were bare. We know it will take time to fill in, but we are so pleased. Our neighbor, who is still using our previous company, is having the same issue we did before switching over.

We have used Lawn Doctor for the past year and a half after getting our whole front yard overhauled and seeded. The lawn technicians came in and expertly helped our lawn grow into thick grass without weeds or holes.

Spring/Summer 2022, was the first year we had Lawn Doctor take care of our lawn. It looked great for the whole season despite a drought where we couldnt water the lawn as in previous years. Many thanks to our technicians and the people in Customer Service, who are very responsive. The techs always call ahead of their visits so you know when they are coming. The Service Summary Reports are thorough and posted on-line so you can look at them at any time.

Like others we finally decided we were wasting money trying to do it on our own. This is our 2nd year with them and we get so many compliments on our lawn! The yard Armor helps to keep the ticks at bay very important for the little granddaughter!

We all hate to pay bills! This is one bill that I enjoy paying because I can see the fruits of their labor. Before Lawn Doctor I was doing my own weeding and fertilizing. I crunched the numbers and I find using Lawn Doctor pays for itself over the course of the year. Try pricing out (quality) fertilizer and Im not talking about the ones from the big box stores. Ive tried two of their competitors but I like Lawn Doctor because they dont try to upsell. Before every application they walk my property to see what issues need to be addressed. In addition to the fertilizer program I have them do it I add on grub control every other year and a lime application in the fall. I highly recommend Lawn Doctor and you will too!

I have been using Lawn Doctor for 2 years and have been pleased with their level of service and flexibility. They text me a day in advance of service and their call center is very responsive. Most recently the tech, Benjamin, called me to accommodate my need to have him delay service. When he arrived he walked the yard with me and we discussed remedial steps, increasing the duration of the irrigation. The yard even with this heat wave is looking surprisingly good.

I ve been a customer since spring 2019. Assistant Manager Scott Vitale visited my property when I expressed an interest in the service. We made a plan that included weed control and fertilizer. Communication with General Manager Derek Brierly is always helpful, he knows his stuff and responds with specificity. Last week, a service tech called and apologized for not being able to apply product b.c. a painter was working outside when he arrived. He explained that the state of MA forbids him from applying product when that happens. He then answered several questions I had about grub control, result is that I have a deeper understanding of how it works and that the techs have been trained in the science of what they re doing. A lawn service is not a magic bullet, you have to put time in to do your part. I do and so do they.

I signed up for the program with the proposal sent over email. Without much knowing what i am signing up for. The guy had the first application of fertilizer, grub control and pesticide for crabgrass control. After that application my crabgrass exploded, now my yard is in worst condition after the application. Now they are suggesting to go with specific program on the crabgrass control that cost extra on the quote that was signed up by my wife. They didnt perform the pesticide as they should have that would take care of the crabgrass, Also they applies fertilizer without checking if your soil needs it or not. That creates more fungicides so that they can overlay fungicide control programs on you. Every service is extra money, the proposal is only stands for the fertilizer what a cook up program. Do not fall for that. 08/12/2020 : Hello Mr. Brierly, I appreciate your response on the Google but you are not genuine in stating the fact. I never threatened to leave to bad review. I said i am not going to recommend you to anyone else. As a customer we own that right to spread the word or not. I choose not to do it. As i strongly believe that any business owner would understand our concern as a first time customer and would negotiate a middle path. You did not. It seems you are not interested in solving our problems rather you are just interested in selling cook up programs to novice customers like us and make us believe that everything is going to be fine if you keep spending your top earn dollars. The reason we chose any service to get the best or optimum benefits from the money that we spend. Simply it was not the case with your proposal and you tend to just charge up extra for the problem that we face. You continue to sell the service we dont need and on top you asks more money as the problem lies somewhere else. Please do not tell that i threatened you. That is a big lie. We as customer reserve our right to share our opinion as the same moral ethics you reserve right to provide explanation. Dont spread false statement. I mentioned to you over the call that it was mistake my wife made by clicking on the approve programs on the email. She had no clue that she is activating the service. On the other side you tend to disregard our genuine concern. If you can do so now, what care you provide us in the future even if we stay on the program. A big Question mark.

Amazing customer service! During dry seasons, the tech would note tips on the service ticket, but also would chat with me if I went outside to ask questions.

Sub par experience. They do not follow up with requests for improved service. They dont treat weeds unless they get off their riding fertilizer machine, which goes way too fast to spot any weeds and my lawn was patchy all season. Suggest making sure you follow up with them if you ask for something.

This was a my first year using the company my lawn was overrun with grubs. By the end of the season grubs were gone and lawn seem to sttay Green longer than usual and look very very nice. I have signed up for another year of their service.I am very pleased with their company and the people that come do a fantastic job.

Lawn Doctor has done a good job for us. The lawn has improved over the past couple of years. No clover, lawn does not dry out as much during hot season. They do a good job of communicating with customers on upcoming visits.

I could not be more pleased with the service and quality of the product. I am a do it yourselfer who had always done his own lawn. My yard is in better shape that it has ever been and for super reasonable money. No more trips to the hardware store or storing bags of fertilizer all summer in my shed. I cant give them 5 stars due to their staff putting pre-emergent down on top of a 8x40 foot area that was marked off and could clearly see that I put grass seed down and some grass had started to come in a week before their arrival. Since they came to my house that area is all dirt now since they put that pre-emergent on grass seed. I also dont enjoy that they dont provide a 4 hour window on when they are coming. 12 hour window is not ideal, as I want to make sure there are no kids at my rental property during that time when fertilizer is going to be put down all over the place.

Derek and the crew are customer centric, knowledgeable, and offer competitive pricing. Our yard looks so good year after year, people stop to ask us who we use. Reliable, responsive, and thorough, wouldnt use anyone else.
