We are a lawn maintenance company, and we are more focused on the upkeep of your lawn's needs. Our main services include weekly mowing, aeration, fertilizing, and sprinkler work. There are a few other services that we also provide for our customers such as power raking, fall and spring leaf cleanups (only available for weekly mowing clients), fall and spring gutter cleaning (only for houses we are capable of doing), bush trimming, overseeding, and bed maintenance. We have started doing some larger projects including full sprinkler system installations, as well as installing sod, but since this is a new avenue for us we only plan a few installations each season. I worked with them for just 2 seasons. During which: - They broke 6 sprinkler heads. I had to replace several myself because my lawn was dying and I couldn't wait for the owner to get around to fixing them. - Multiple times the crew would engage the mower's propulsion system on the yard and it would rip up my grass and leave skid marks. - One time someone filled their mower with gas in the middle of my yard, spilled the gas, and burned-out a small section of the yard. - I often smelled pot on one of the employees. - One week the crew skipped my house but told their employer they mowed the yard. Had I not caught it and had video proof, I would have been charged. - For 3 weeks, they were only mowing half of one property. Each time I would call or write about a problem, they always blamed it on a "miss-communication" or that "this week we were working with a different crew". Blah Blah Blah. I'm the only person in my cul-de-sac who pays to have their lawn maintained but somehow I have the worst maintained yard in the cul-de-sac. After spelling out my issues and why I am terminating the relationship, their response "no worries". Wow!!! This is NOT an organization that values my business or cares about customer relationships. I should have paid better attention to the dates of their good reviews, as most of them are very dated.
I've used High Plains for over 5 years, both at my main home and at an investment property. They are knowledgeable when it comes to sprinkler systems and lawn care (thanks Mike!), prompt, friendly and communicative. They've even come by a few times with little notice from me, when I needed help above and beyond my scheduled services. I would highly recommend them!
We have been using High Plains for years, and have always been impressed. Their basic yard work (mowing, aerating, fertilizing) is always timely and done well. And their sprinkler work (everything from basic repair to setting up complicated new systems or new areas) is excellent. Beyond that, they are great at communicating. I highly recommend High Plains.
High Plains is one of those rare companies that take pride in their professionalism, communication and performance. They are a full service company. Patrick and Mike are hands on, and are quick to answer questions, whether it be general lawn needs, sprinkler repair, gutter cleaning, etc. High Plains has taken care of our lawn for four years--I highly recommend them!!
I have used High Plains Lawn Service for over 5 years. They are the best!! They also shovel the snow in the winter if it is over 2 inches which is a great help. They communicate very well and if there is an issue they address it immediately. I have no complaints this is a great company. I would highly recommend High Plains Lawn Service.
I have used High Plains for over 3 years. They are absolutely phenomenal! You will not find more honest, kind or hard working people than Mike and Patrick. Every member of the crew takes pride in their job and they go above and beyond with customer service. I cannot recommend them highly enough!
they've been doing a good job with my lawn for a few years now! Update: These guys kept my corner lot yard of mostly green grass looking good for over a decade! If I ever had a problem, they responded very well to feedback and did a great job over the years!

This is more for the person driving the white truck with the license plate DBG 440 who almost merged into the front of us on Santa Fe this morning at 5:30 am. Your lawn care may be great but your driving has a lot to be desired.

The mowers are wonderful, swarm all over the yard, get everything clipped and tidy; cleanup the walks so everything looks great. The sprinkler maintenance is excellent; thorough inspection in the spring and all the fixing necessary to keep everything properly watered. Highly recommended.

I moved to CO in 1992 and have used High Plains Lawn Service ever since. I cant say enough about the great service they provide,. I would give them 10 stars if I could. In the 20+ years Ive used High Plains services, Patrick and crew have never missed one week......a SMALL business with a BIG job well done!

How can I use a business that doesnt want to be contacted. I call the number and it rings forever. NO Answering service?! Unbelievable. Then I try to email them and when I go to send, gmail tells me the email address is not recognizable. I have no idea if these guys are good or not but how can I when I cant even get off the starting block. This is not how you should run a business, no matter how busy you are.
these dudes literally break lights lining our walkway to the front door every single time they come. Ive got photos and videos of it. Totally unprofessional and seem to not care that they do it. Even had the owner of the company stop by and say we always have trouble with these lights. Apparently its extremely difficult to move the lights for 2 seconds before you start weed whacking them and shattering them to pieces. I strongly dont recommend these dudes
The worst decision I ever made was hiring this company. I hired them because I had a spinal injury and was unable to mow my yard. I specified that I needed them to mow my backyard and trim the weeds. They came twice, never mowed once, never touched the weeds. After their first visit, I sent an email to the company requesting they return and complete these services. They came back a week later and my neighbors sat on their porch watching the men blow leaves off of the sidewalk and leave. I emailed the company, once again giving them the opportunity to return and complete the job I had asked them to do. Two years later, Im still being harassed by the company to pay for services that were NEVER rendered. Ive never written a review, positive or negative, in my life, but Id hate for anyone else to go through what I have gone through.
