Buyer beware the Quoted rate for the service is $80 combined labor hour which means they charge $80 per person per hour they work. It is not a combined labor hour rate but combined labor worked. So, if 4 workers show up, you will pay $320 per hour (ridiculous) for young student’s labor. Even the office admitted in email the $80 an hour does not make any sense when I questioned the bill. So, 4 guys show up and work as frantically as possible because, I had requested a 4 hour cap, as I was expecting a crew to work for 4 hours. The 4 hours at $320 was comparable to other landscape companies but, they told me they would be there for almost a full day. The team showed up and got to work right away. Decent job of clearing needles and leaves. You will see tentpoles in the pictures just scattered about that they had to move to rake but did not put back. They also raked rock on to the turf and onto the sidewalks. They also clipped and damaged the garden drip lines which I will have the pleasure of fixing in the spring. See photos. When the hour was up they just disbursed. They did not check in with me to review work done. Didn't ask if anything else was needed. Just left. They hit the one hour and gone.
Halftime got back to my scheduling request the same day and their process is highly-organized and efficient. Tanner was quick and knowledgeable in blowing out our sprinklers, and was also very friendly. We look forward to using Halftime’s help again in the Spring!
If I could leave 0/5 stars , I would. I used this service 5/5/2024. I signed up for the Spring Clean Up lawn care , and I was charged $225 for three people to be on my lawn for 1 hour. My grass was high, as we had just moved in to the home prior to our last tenants. Either way, seems like a steep price to have your grass mowed and edges not done. They did do some weeding and filled a trash bag 1/4 through. So if one person is mowing for an hour , the other two perhaps pulled weeds for an hour and only managed to pull a few handfuls. I do understand that this is by high school kids, so the pricing model needs to change and so do the customers expectations. I hired them because of their mission but it didn’t work out in terms of lawn care. I can personally fill a trash bag full of weeds in 30 minutes. After talking to management they were agreeable for me to pay the money versus keeping a return customer , bummer! The caller’s disposition was very poor. After expressing my concerns over the service ($225 for getting your lawn mowed and an handful of weeds pulled), the caller responded by saying “ok” and not much more. Overall, that was the biggest disappointment. Perspective is that this is the first bad review I’ve ever written in my life.
I highly recommend Halftime Help! I started using Halftime Help for snow removal, not only for my driveway, but they also do my back deck and stairs as my dog is old and it's difficult for him to go down the stairs to the yard when it's covered with snow. They are reasonably priced and do a great job! We had our truck in the driveway one morning and to our surprise they took the time to clear it off for us and they not only clear the snow on the deck, but they clear the snow off the outdoor furniture as well. I've been using another company to do my lawn service, but after using Halftime Help, I'm so impressed by them, that I plan on switching to Halftime Help for my lawn service this spring also.
Halftime Help has been fabulous! They offer so many different services and have been so reliable. We're trying to manage our snow removal to satisfy our HOA when we're away from home and they are right on it every time! They show up, provide photos and communicate effectively. Half Time Help is a great company and an excellent business concept helping athletes in many ways. The students are knowledgeable, polite, respectful and on time! The company’s communication is top notch so you know exactly what to expect and when. We will be hiring the students again, so glad we know them. Shout out to Tanner and Sam who were the students who came to our house. They were great, we would be happy to have them help us again!
The crew arrived on time, evaluated the work to be done and began working. Although the team was comprised of young men, it was evident that the extreme heat was slowly taking its toll on them. (My recommendation would be to have air circulating hats and a very large ice filled water cooler.) The already established three man crew did a great job, which included clean up. Worth the fee asked and you are helping high school students who already have a good work ethic. Great job guys.

Update April 2024: Here is what I LOVE about this business. They go the extra mile for their clients. Very happy about being a repeat customer! HTH is a locally owned and operated company that offers: 1. High school athletes an opportunity to do honest work for community members 2. A reliable service for people willing to give great kids an opportunity to prove they want to earn an honest wage and 3. Gives people who have served or currently serve our country, a discount. The owners are personable and great people who care both for the kids AND their clients.

After a couple of bad experiences with other organizations (Last-minute cancellations, no-shows, etc.) I m so glad I found Halftime help. They were excellent at communication, showed up when they said they would, and were kind, professional, and efficient! Not to mention that I love to be supporting a small local business that works with our local youths! I ll be calling again!

Halftime blew out my sprinkler zones for the winter. They were wonderful. Friendly and professional ; punctual and priced right. I learned today that they do other lawn chores as well as sprinkler systems. I highly recommend this company and am definitely going to use them for all my irrigation needs. The halftime guys came over and shoveled my driveway and steps. It was a super heavy wet mess. They did a wonderful job and shoveled every thing I asked them to. I love these guys!

We used Halftime Help to load our moving truck. They guys were extremely nice, easy to work with and very professional. During the load there was a miscommunication about what was going in the truck. After a phone call to clarify, the team came out the next morning and repacked. The repack was a thing of beauty. The professional moving company that unloaded the truck at our destination said it was the most organized packing job they had ever seen!!!! Kudos to Halftime Help!

We had Halftime help on board to do a large juniper removal job. Before even bidding the job they wanted to see in person, which was great as they were huge and a lot of them. They gave us a very fair bid and were honest about timing as the ground was still frozen. The weather got nicer and they ended up coming out to do the job and got them all out in 2 days. There was some additional time and dumps required and they were upfront with those right away so there were not any surprises. There communication was great and constant which was wonderful. Would definitely hire them again for any type of job they do. Plus a great concept!

These guys were great! Got the move done quickly and efficiently with no damage at all. They even added extra helpers when we realized it would take to long to complete the load and unload. Halftime help took good care of my lawn all year. Never missed an appointment and they were always on time.
You guys were awesome! I dropped it off Sunday afternoon, talked to Dan Monday morning, and my lawnmower was tuned up and delivered to my house by 1:00 p.m. Friday.

Was in need of help to move small to large packing boxes out of our basement into a UHaul and decided to give Halftime Help a shot. The two Highschool Seniors showed up early, were very polite and moved the 50-75 boxes in quick order. Would recommend them for small and large jobs.

I do not recommend this company if you are looking for confidence in your provider or dependability. After signing a very detailed contract with them on when they will come, they have shown up when there wasnt enough snow. One time I advised them not to come for this reason and I was sent a very terse text by the owner, Dan. If you live in Lone Tree or surrounding areas you know what the snow fall was the night of 12/25/23. Half-Time was a no show yesterday to my property. When I finally called them in the afternoon, they said they didnt come because a customer/neighbor said there wasnt enough snow. Nowhere in my contract does it read make determinations based on a text from a neighbor. That neighbor by the way, texted them not to come because her neighbor did her driveway and sidewalk. I sent them an email last night terminating my contract with them, but stating that I expected them to fulfill what should have been done yesterday and wasnt. Ive been advised this morning, I no longer have a contract with them as of yesterday, so they arent coming. Im 71 years old and out there this morning trying to shovel my sidewalks and driveway. If this is how you want to do business.....choose HT. If you want character and integrity, choose someone else.

We were really impressed with their communication, lawn mowing and weeding work done. Very reasonable rates, quick scheduling and prompt work. We worked with them completely virtually as we are not on site and they did a great job sending us before and after photos of the work done. Highly recommend! We also plan to use their services for unloading our pod once we get there.
Good crew of kids were sent for my yard project. It was very hot and took a little longer than planned, but everything went well and got done as I planned. Gave them a little direction on what I needed done and let them go while I did some work nearby. Would hire them again.

I just moved in and needed my lawn mowed. They are the only company who said they would show up and did show up. The price was reasonable and they did a great job. I literally called over a dozen companies and could not get someone to show up when they said they would and mow the lawn. Other companies like lawnlove low balled me and then tried to increase the charges and kept cancelling. Halftime help was professional from the first contact and with the job they did.

I recently hurt my back and needed some furniture moved and boxes taken to the basement as well as many Christmas boxes from the basement to the main floor. Two young men from Halftime Help moved all the boxes and furniture and time to squeeze in raking some leaves for me as well as loaded my snowblower into the SUV. I would not have been able to complete all this by myself....Thanks to Halftime Help and the helping hands they provided. I will not hesitate to use them in the future. Sincerely, One happy guy!

Wow! I wish my husband and I knew about this service a long time ago because we have been bashing our heads against the wall trying to find good workers to help us with a bunch of projects around the house. A friend of ours brought Halftime Help up in conversation the other day after we voiced our exhaustion over trying to find good help and we then contacted them immediately only to have two of their workers show up at our house less than 24 hours later, ready to get down to business and that they did! The two boys who showed up at our house (Colin and Tyler) worked very hard with game faces on and didnt stop working until the job was done! And they did a terrific job (exactly what we needed and wanted) as well. I would absolutely RECOMMEND Halftime Help and I will 100% be using them again in the future if we need help!
