Going the Extra Mile Landscaping in Little Rock

My front shrub bed looks so good and they do a great job in maintaining my sprinkler system. I am always pleased with their service.

I emailed the contact us with a request for an estimate with pictures. 2 weeks, no reply. Emailed the main guy directly to check up on it. 2 weeks, no reply. I call, I was told next Tuesday we ll get out there. Tuesday came and went, no answer. I call again, they say later today we ll definitely get out there . No answer, no call saying they got busy or something, nothing. Their reviews show they they re supposedly the best, but no customer service for me to just get a dang estimate, who knows how long the work would take. Updated info: gentleman came out, very nice, took a look, however no estimate has been sent yet.

I recently hired Cedric and his team at Going the Extra Mile for a landscape update to my front yard beds and new sod for the yard. They also trimmed a small tree, pruned a few bushes, moved some heavy clay pots and enhanced a watering faucet, making it easier for me to operate. This was my second good experience with the company, the other about three years ago. They are highly efficient, promptly return phone calls, are courteous and quite talented in their profession. I find their pricing to be reasonable. Cedric can be trusted to do what he says he will do. He is a Master Gardener and has been in this business for 20+ years. I love being able to support small businesses and this small business is a winner. Give them a try.

It is my opinion that the owner of going the extra mile Cedric is a totally bogus. I spent $23,000 and have to redo everything he did. Don t let him touch your sprinkler system either or any drainage work. The plants he promised were not what i got little tiny dying ones. Bad experience.!!

I needed 12 trees planted and didn t know any landscaping companies in the area so I did a search and then emailed a few candidates. Cedric responded quickly. He was the only one to respond. Then he drove 40 miles to my place on Super Bowl Sunday (!) to give me an estimate. Once my trees arrived he immediately came over and planted them. Very timely and professional !

Although I had a not-so-great experience initially, Mr. Cedric did come out, as promised, after my review. They came out; evaluated my drainage issue, but never sent an estimate.

Had extensive landscaping work done; pretty much had to rebuild my backyard. Cedric and his crew were very professional, responsive and did excellent work. Would definitely recommend them to others.

From the initial call and meeting, Cedrick was prompt in answering the phone and keeping us posted on his process in preparing the yard and installing a French drain. Our side yard was exceptionally challenging to access and his team had trees removed (including stumps) and installed the drain which has already been tested by recent downpours. Since completion, not a drop of water has invaded our basement!! Our investment the peace of mind and safety!!!

I found this company while searching for a good landscaping company that could handle a large drainage issue. I read the google reviews and was impressed by both peoples reviews and the owners responses. I emailed the company and received an almost immediate response from Cedric. That within itself is impressive in this day in time! Cedric came out to my house and explained the course of action needed and provided a very reasonable price for my project. I cant even begin to explain the extent of the drainage issues I was experiencing in several parts of my property. When I say I literally had rivers running through my back yard and down my property, due to water drainage from my neighbors beside and behind me, I am not exaggerating! And on top of this, the water was not drying up and was sitting stagnant in many locations throughout my property. After the initial digging/drainage rock/drain pipe installation, we had a torrential down pour in my area and I was able to see immediate results! Once the rain subsided, the areas that had been holding water for weeks at a time dried up within hours! So needless to say, Cedric and Corey did a great job! Additionally, anytime I had questions or concerns they were addressed and Cedric was very easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this company if you are experiencing drainage/standing water issues and I have no doubt they are just as skilled and professional in all other services they provide. Should I ever need anything that relates to my yard in the future, I will be contacting Going the Extra Mile Landscaping! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

I was going to leave a lengthy review... but decided not to. Made arrangements to meet twice over a months time... never showed up. My husband went with another company on our one property spent over $2k and I spent over $2k with our current property with my garden bed. I still need standing water issue fixed. Will find a more caring company to do so that wont judge based off of area. Follow up: 4/21/23 After posting review, someone from the company did show up quickly and gave a quote. Matter of fact showed up at least three times since the review. I was told that they couldn t find the home through gps and that can be an issue but most people would call and ask for directions. We did get a quote and initially was going to use them but found another company to install a French drain to keep the water from going under our house at a way cheaper price.

The job included three parts. First-rejuvenation pruning of an old fig tree. The bitter cold snap this past winter was too much for the exposed parts of the plant. Many new stems are growing at the base. With the large trunks removed, the bush will be more accessible. Cedric and his men managed to control the tallest 20 foot tall trunk so that all of the wildflowers in the area with the exception of a stem or two were preserved. Second-installing a drain under a walkway to divert water from a downspout away from the houses foundation as well as away from the underside of the driveway. Third-removal of long term nandina bushes along one side of the house. Efforts to remove these sturdy shrubs by hand came to nought. Cedric had to rent a Bobcat excavator to dig out these large plants. They carried all the plant material to the curbside to be picked up by the city. Overall my daughter, the home owner, was very pleased to have these jobs completed in as timely a fashion as could be done due to the persistant rainfall this spring.

Really pleased with the quality and speed of the work. Cedric and his team were on top of it from the word go. Im very excited to see my new plants bloom and grow over the years.

I am having two projects done by this company: a landscaping of my yard (3 sides) and a realignment of the sprinkler system. The first project is nearly done, and it is a significant improvement over what I have ever had. I am particularly pleased with the south side work, which was terribly eroded. The landscapers have built a retaining wall, back-filled with soil and eco-friendly plants, and thus created a lovely area that will be maintenance-free in the future. The second project is underway, and it corrects (and improves upon) a sprinkler system I had installed more than 15 years ago. This one includes a drain so that my yard doesnt drown in heavy rains as well as a repositioning of some of the sprinkler heads so that the plants that have survived our combo freeze/drown are encouraged to flower and thrive. Im very excited to get all this work done so very well.

Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience with Going the Extra Mile Landscaping. I had patio and drainage work done by the company and both were very poor quality/not properly competed; I had to compete/repair work myself and will have to hire another company to further correct. The patio work started to fail within a week and looks awful just months after the the company completed their work; the patio has already completely failed in a number of months from work completion. The workers also damaged our sprinkler system by dumping stone on pipes and cutting other pipes which cost me $1500 to repair. I evaluated reviews and thought I made a good choice in hiring this company for my projects but quickly grew disappointed, which was expressed to Cedric at the time, including explaining that the work was not properly completed. Cedric is pleasant and showed up (not always common) but the patio work is just upsetting and will have to be completely reworked. Its unfortunate that I am unable to recommend for drainage, masonry or patio projects. I cannot speak to yard cleanup basic landscape projects. I do not like leaving negative reviews but feel requests for corrections/completion were not properly addressed and those evaluating reviews for similar projects may wish to be aware of this customers experience.

Going extra mile came out and got my overgrown landscaping back in order. My yard was very overgrown but now all of my neighbors are slowing down looking an amazement of how great my landscaping look now. Wow what a difference they made. We had them replace a retaining wall along a 100 ft. driveway bed complete with new drainage system and create a rock stairway down a rough grade in the backyard to our swing set. They promptly came out for the estimate, started the job exactly when they said they would, charged exactly what they said they would charge and stayed with the job until it was done. They cleaned up their mess and left us with a really nice result. How many contractor jobs go that smoothly? We will be calling them again for other projects!

Cedric and Going the Extra Mile have been great to work with. Since moving here, they have helped us with landscaping, backflow (RPZ) maintenance, sprinkler maintenance and more. They are responsive and have been quick to schedule, even during peak times. I cannot recommend highly enough! They are wonderful

Great job with our landscaping, magnolia tree azaleas rocks and blue winter flowers, very pretty and well done, seemed a bit expensive however prices have increased in general, I will call to use their services again and follow up with another review.

Cedric and his team completely redid our back yard due to a huge drainage problem. Cedric recommended a solution, and it works beautifully. They terraced the yard and installed beautiful rocks and stepping stones in some places and replaced the sod in others. They also trimmed tree branches, mulched our front and back flower beds, cleaned our back yard fence so it looks new, installed a taller privacy fence on one side of our property, and added some new plants. We couldnt be more pleased. He and his crew are hard workers and very pleasant gentlemen, and we highly recommend them!

In late February 2022, here in Little Rock we had ice. I was iced in for several days. Finally I called Going the Extra Mile. The gentlemen there came out the very next morning, early, and assessed the situation. Then they went to the supply store and bought de-icer. They came back and took care of 22 wooden steps and three landings leading up to my second floor unit. I am 70 and had no help. These fellows saved the day for me. They responded quickly, showed up right on time, did the work perfectly, and really went the extra mile. The fee was perfectly reasonable, and I was glad to pay. Call these gentlemen for whatever you might need. They are reliable, pleasant, and effective.

We contacted Going the Extra Mile about a sodding project. Cedric came by in an extremely timely manner and after showing him what we had in mind, asked him to look at a backyard problem with a filled-in pool area. He recommended a nice large patio over the area. We had already contracted for a new fence and he indicated we needed to be get this done before the fence was installed. We loved his idea. They moved forward quickly and did an excellent job. His crew was friendly, courteous and very professional. The price was right too! Needless to say, we are moving forward with Cedric and his company to complete our remaining landscape needs including the original sodding requirement.

Im planning a DIY project to drain standing water from my yard. Cedric was nice enough to come out and give me a consultation. He was friendly and very knowledgeable. Ill follow his advice to the letter and If I get stuck hell be the first one I call to finish the project! I would definitely recommend giving him a call.

I highly recommend Going the Extra Mile. They were very responsive, informative, and did quality work. They put in new sod for my front yard as well as placing hedges and gravel to line my driveway and sidewalk. We are very happy with the results and I will be using them again.

They were able to get to us quickly to repair our sprinkler system. They work fast. We had a leak in the line repaired and some sprinkler heads that were too short replaced. Very happy with their work.

I am respectfully asking for a refund for the $250 trip charge for cool deck & retaining wall repairs. This estimate was not recieced within the time frame agreed to.i sent this message and got no responce: The owner responded back and agreed to give 1/2 my money back. That was fair I believe.

Update: After reading my review the owner came back out and we worked out the price. They are truly customer oriented. My fault for not asking about pricing before they started the work. I had a sprinkler head replaced and all sprinklers adjusted about 2 years ago and it was $130 so I was expecting around that price. I just paid Going the extra mile landscaping service $300 to replace one sprinkler head. The original invoice was for $355 and after a discussion about the unexpected cost we agreed to $300. They were very professional and responsive and would use them again if not for the price.

These guys came out and cleaned up our flowerbeds, placed a drain and buried another drain, trimmed trees, and even made a new flowerbed plus mulched all of the flowerbeds (and there are A LOT) and did such a great job! They are quick and professional. I would recommend them to anyone! It is like a different yard!

No need to research anymore, save time and hire them! They will bend over backwards to ensure your landscaping needs are met and the cost is fair. They helped get my house under contract for sale. They wont disappoint!
