We bought a Maple Tree at Rock Garden in June of 2022. We were impressed with the quality and price of the tree and they were very knowledgeable and helpful! I plan to make Rock Gsrden my go to place In the future

Amazing! Its the only place we go for our gardening needs. They are locally owned and operated and have fantastic customer service. They even sell great Christmas trees! Definitely give them a visit.

Ordered sand from them, already slightly higher than other places. But I figured, small business, and they are local. Im regretting that decision now. They told me delivery was 39.99 for Monday morning, I already noticed they charged me 59.99, so I asked them. There answer was its a bigger truck now, oh OK, well I guess whatever. Now its afternoon and Im still waiting for my morning delivery, Ive called twice, first time was told we ran out of sand, but someone is getting it right now, so it should still be am. Now 90+min later, no sand, called again. This time they have to look me up twice, like they have no recollection of anyone getting an order today. Then her excuse is were waiting for the delivery of sand, they assure me its on the way. She said were relying on truck drivers, and what they tell us. So moral of the story is, stick with the big box stores, they know what they are doing and actually strive to master customer service. Hopefully I will get my sand today.

When a contractor comes in and asks for rock and is told they sell tons of Fieldstone only to find out they dont even have a way to weigh it other than guessing and charging. I will never be doing business with them again. Be careful questioning what the load weighs because theyll accuse you of stealing.

Very friendly staff here. Went to Rock Gardens today to pick up two yards of Class 5 gravel. Very easy, fair prices and even allowed us to pay up front and then make a few trips because our trailer could only handle so much weight. Well definitely be back in the spring or summer to purchase landscaping rock for our backyard.

Went in to get some field stone for my aquariums. The guy outside cutting the christmas trees has got to be the coolest guy ever. Super nice guy.

Great place. Good selection

This is a great place for materials - dirt, sand, rock, stone, boulders and plants. I pull in with 4 x8 trailer and a tarp, get about a yard of what I need, they load it with a bobcat. Quick, easy. Much better than a 100 bags from big box stores. They also have plants and straw and other stuff. I start here. Plus they are close to Ramsey county yard waste so I end up dropping of brush and getting soil or wood chips or sand - whatever the job calls for! Nice little loop!

Weve been getting a Christmas tree at Rock Gardens every year since we moved to the area. They have nice trees, great customer service, and we always look forward to getting our ornament from last years photo in the sleigh!

Do Not Go to this Curly , Moe and Larry operation. I called in the morning to find out about some retaining wall blocks I wanted. The lady manager/owner told me they were in stock and the cost was $5.75 per block tax included. I heard her very clearly. When I arrived the kid on the loader says , Did she tell you about the $20.00 per pallet -pallet charge? I said no and that I would bring the pallets back but I would not pay the fee. She should have told me before I put so much time and effort into my visit. The kid agreed to load me and I assured him I would bring the pallets back. After loading I told him she had quoted me $5.75 per block tax included. When i went inside to pay he had reached her on the phone and she would not honor her quote from the morning now wanting $6.39 per block. I told the kid lets unload them which we did. Couldnt wait to get out of that unprofessional crackpot business. Stay clear. Joe Toupal

At first I gave them 1 star because the driver dropped my dirt in my garden and I was very frustrated because I heard nothing but good things and I just got done planting my garden. I thought there was a lack of communication within the company. Turns out the driver lied to me and lied to the owner. I would give them 5 stars because of the way Lori made things right and their dirt is sifted, or at least no rocks, but the way the driver acted held me to 4 stars.

I wanted some new bushes for my house but know very little about plants and landscaping. I was able to work with Carol who spent time educating me on plants and even helped me pick out an assortment of 8 and where to place them. The bushes were good quality and good size and the arrangement worked great.

I do know Rock Garden since I move in this area. The owner great help.I question about, grass seeds. at higher price she said it is the quality. I tried before Mennards or Home depot. never had grass as good as Rock Garden .why go any other place when they are closer and their quality it the best.

Bought many plants from her last yr....One of the more expensive ones didnt make it through the winter and frankly looked sickly when we bought it. She assured us when we purchased that if it didnt make it she would honor her agreement and replace it the next spring. Guess what happened.... She told us that too many people try to bring back plants that arent hers. She treated us like criminals instead of customers. I went to another nursery just up the road instead and purchased $300 of plants. They treated us with respect. Im never going back to rock gardens. Its all overpriced anyways and the only reason I shopped there to begin with was to support local businesses... But Im not supporting a business that doesnt treat their customers well.

I was ordered 6 yards light pink rock but delivered about close to 4 yards no paper work was given. I called and ask but a person in the office didnt do anything much all she said what ever I received was 6 yards. I would never recommend any one to order from this place again. I feel like I just got rob

The ONLY reason I ever shop here is because it is right down the street and very convenient....t certainly isnt for the service or friendliness of the staff. The woman who owns it, i believe, never smiles and seems put out every time you ask her a question. And she either does not know her own prices, or they are ridiculously expensive for hardscape items. I asked about a wall cap price because the sign next to a cast concrete wall cap said $135 for a 24 long piece of Bluestone....and she said that;s what the conrete top was priced at. I looked up the exact same manufacturer and piece at a few other places online and they sell for under $30 each!!! crazy. Nice to have a place so near that has materials I need...would be nicer if they were nice themselves and knew their products better.

Ive been getting my landscape materials from rock gardens for years. Huge selection, good prices, and friendly staff. Going there today for class 5 for the fence Im building.
