I found Martin John Company this past year after losing my amazing landscaping husband. They are a fantastic company and did a beautiful job rebuilding my brick front platform, steps, etc. I highly recommend that for any brickwork you need at home or business. They did the entire project in one day and were very professional.
Just amazing in every way ! Our project was a complete redo of the front and back beds of our home. We needed to conform with our HOA requirements of bed sizes etc. This worked beautifully. What was most impressive was effective communication throughout the process. The design was magnificent and they carefully addressed all our wishes of variety and color. All plantings ware beautiful, healthy specimens appropriate in size and spacing. Workers were meticulous is planting and cleanup. What sets Marin/John apart however is their personal hands on attention. They don't just sell and turn it over to the workers. They are there! They frequently monitor and communicate. Martin and his team completed phase 1 of my landscape makeover last fall - including tree removal, a new path and entryway, and many new plantings. It is so exciting to see it all coming to life this spring and I am looking forward to phase 2 in the next few weeks. From initial contact, through design, to completion of the project, I have been impressed with not only Martin and his leadership but everyone involved. Their professionalism, creativity, patience, flexibility (when I change my mind) and last but not least the results have made it a pleasure to work with them all. Contact Martin, you won’t be sorry!
Can't recommend enough. We have a relatively small property less then 1 acre, but it has a very intricate garden area with shaped bushes, flower beds, lots of different floral, etc... And Martin John does an amazing job of keeping everything looking amazing year round.
Chuck is exceptionally talented, professional and goes above and beyond. I asked him to do a full dream list plan for my front and back yard including some challenging tree coverage, lighting and lack of sun issues. He produced a very unique plan that both tackled the issues and was beautiful and appropriate for my traditional home. And although fine landscaping and quality materials are expensive, he has been gracious working with me to install sections of the overall project as they meet my budget going forward. And all of the team has been refreshingly professional and skilled during installations. Finally, I know Chuck truly cares about my project and guarantees his work. I recommend him with the utmost of enthusiasm!

They ve done my entire yard and I couldn t be happier. Did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. The quality is excellent. It s going to cost you a little more, but it s well worth it.

Abysmal communication. In July, 2023 I put $750 down as a 50% deposit for a master landscape design. Its the last day of February, 2024 and I have received zero proactive outreach over the last 8 months. Not one phone call or email. I have called multiple times and when the receptionist answers she always says Ill let Martin know to call you back. Martin never calls back. In November, she said Martin hopes to have something for you by Thanksgiving. Nothing. Avoid at all costs. Edit: 3/1/24, getting the $750 refunded after contacting the owner on his cell phone, which I got from another one of his clients.
We loved working with Martin John. They did a huge backyard renovation for us (new deck, patio, built-in BBQ, fireplace, trees, flowers, etc)and the experience was great and the final product is beautiful! Martin was here every day overseeing the project and was super responsive anytime I had a question. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who is thinking about any landscape work in their yard.

We were looking to update our 1980 s landscape and chose Martin John for his unique and innovative designs. Our concrete slab patio was transformed to a flowing entertainment area using brick and stone with lighted seat walls and a built-in grill. Each season brings pops of new colors and the end result has exceeded our expectations.
We have been using Martin John for over 10 yrs, both for seasonal residential property maintenance/care and specialty projects. We had previously used three other local landscapers, MJ is the best of the bunch. They have a wide variety of services, are very responsive and perform high quality work. Pretty much a one-stop shop for all landscaping needs. The owner is very hands-on with his operation, and it shows. Highly recommend!!

They are so extremely unresponsive it is not worth working with them regardless of the quality of work. There is zero response and a lack of follow through after you ve paid any part of your bill. Save yourself the headache and find another company.

Come on guys! I had to go move my trash cans, because your guy blocked them with his truck. He had plenty of space to park, without blocking my cans. He made no attempt to move his truck or my cans as the garbage truck was driving down the street.
One of your guys who obviously dislikes his job has decided to slam his doors closed and not let me into my garage in these negative conditions. Mind you my one year old and wife with groceries are waiting for him to be polite and move the Van from my garage door but he decided move the van to box me in where I could not pull in. Thanks, very unprofessional .
They do great work, however, are extremely unresponsive, which is frustrating. As I write this, I am getting ready to call them as they, again, are not responding to e mails.

We have used Martin John Company for over 15 years. They have been incredible to work with. Not only do they provide excellent services (weekly lawn maintenance, planting bed maintenance, mulch installation, fertilizer, core aeration, etc.), but they have also done some pretty large projects such as near tree plantings, an amazing brick patio with seating ledges, retaining walls, steps, and decorative stones. In addition, they have replaced the front sidewalk leading from the driveway to our front door with beautiful brick pavers and nice new steps. They have been a pleasure to work with over the years. They are all professional, courteous, respectful, and are reasonably priced in all aspects of the work they have provided us. I often am asked by our neighbors who does all the great yard work on your property, it is the nicest lawn in the sub-division. Thanks again for making our house a beautiful place year-round, and especially in the summer months where we can share it with our friends and family.
Working with Martin John Company was a great experience. Martin did an amazing job on a design to replace our front walk way and landscaping. The outcome was better than I could have imagined and the entire process was managed by Martin John with little to no involvement needed on my side. I highly recommend them.
