I want to tell you that David came out this week to seed and aerate and he was so professional. He is an exemplary employee.He came to my door and discussed what he was going to do and answered my questions thoroughly. He deserves recognition and I hope he gets it. If more companies had employees like him, I would feel a lot better about hiring them, Unfortunately, sloppy and careless are the usual.

Update: unfortunately I have to write this review on a negative side. I had so much hope and faith in the company Tru Green, as I proceeded to make payments for their service I repeating how there are weeds in my yard. They assured me time will show how good their service would be unfortunately because they do not train their people appropriately, and knowing every type of weed which I have in my yard that there particular killer would not cover and take out. They said I have Johnson grass, but I know I have much much more in this yard due to in the negative in my account I had to withdraw from their business. If they would ve told me these weeds were some that they could not kill I wouldn t be covered with nothing but weeds and grasses of all kinds in my yard. I am physically unable to dig these things up therefore, I m no better off than when I started. I will say they did give me refunds off of some of the payments, but my yard is a disgrace I saw signs of weeds dying 3 days after first spray. I am praying it will do something this round . Although I just only begun their serves I can only truly review the men who have come I have to say William Clark was my favorite so far.Thank you so much William you are a rock star in my eyes!!!

I have a true side by side comparison as our next door neighbor has had a different lawn care service to take care of their lawn s needs. We had to have our AC serviced today and their people that came noticed that our lawn was much thicker and greener than our neighbors. Their sales people are borderline harassment. I contacted them at first and got a quote. Then I told them I was going to shop around and everything seemed fine. The following day I get multiple calls from a salesman that did not know how to take. No for an answer. I had to block two different numbers in order for them to stop calling I do not suggest calling TruGreen unless you want to be harassed

I have been a client of TruGreen for three years. In the beginning my lot was covered with every weed imaginable. It is now a thing of beauty and I get such pleasure from it appearance. Its lush and green and healthy looking. I walk barefooted on it and it feels wonderful. I am very pleased with the lawn care services Ive received from TruGreen. Their service specialists are always pleasant and polite.

Really impressed with TruGreen! They took over my lawn care this winter, and by spring, my yard was looking amazing. The team is super knowledgeable and actually cares about your lawn. They sorted me out with a plan that tackled everything, from weeds to feeding the grass, and I hardly had to do a thing. They kept me updated on the schedule, especially if the weather changed things up, and any time I had a question, their customer service was right there with an answer. Christopher performed my first visit. He began by walking the entire yard and told me what he saw. He used his observations to mix a combination of dry fertilizer and pre-emergent weed control in a motorized spreader and carefully and thoroughly applied them. When he was done, he left me a detailed written statement of what he did and what to expect in the future. He mentioned that he timed this application for before the rain this weekend. I especially appreciate the communication. This is similar to my discussions with Andrew Sizemore who helped set up my new account. You make me feel like a partner in my lawn care, not just a customer number. I look forward to working with all of you this year. Thank you.

No results or improvement in my yard after 6 months of service. AFter completing my prepaid services; I Declined further services. Requested cancelation multiple times. They still sent someone without notice, charged my card, very difficult to get in touch with someone for a refund. Took multiple calls to finally get services cancelled - hoping they dont show up again.

TRUGREEN GOOD JOB

Shady business practices. They make it extremely difficult to cancel--they will try to upsell you, hang up on you when you insist on canceling, ignore your requests, then they show up without notice and charge you. We finally (hopefully) were able to cancel by using the contact us link on the website because we couldnt get/keep anyone on the phone (though I wouldnt be surprised if they keep charging us). And you dont even get a decent lawn out of it.

We have been TruGreen customers since 2020. Each year we have been highly pleased with Derrick Westfall and the great service he provides. Derrick is very kind, professional, and knowledgeable in his field. He always lets us know exactly what he is treating the yard with and what to expect. Really appreciate him taking the time to keep us informed on the progress of our yard. We definitely recommend Derrick and the rest of the TruGreen team!!!

Working with Trugreen has been the absolute worst experience I have ever had with any trade business. It has also been and huge waste of my time, which I ll never get back. They signed me up for services which I never asked for. I canceled services after 2 years of giving them a shot, because I understand that lawns don t just improve overnight or in a year. Although I canceled ALL of my services with them, they continued to come out and bill me for services I had already canceled (I was setup on Automatic Payments). Save your money and your time. Don t use Trugreen.

Rude and unprofessional. My neighbor made the mistake of getting some TruGreen treatment which woke me up this morning at 7:40. I asked the employee to be careful when spraying on the part of the lawn that s near my garden, he defiantly and rudely told me that so long as he stood within the fence he could do whatever. Zero courtesy or respect, and a terrible attitude. I don t feel comfortable with my family eating anything from that garden now. And then I watched him spray all over my neighbor s house, patio, etc.

I inquired 2 years ago to see if true green offers mowing services. They do not, so I told them I was not interested. I have been called about 10 times a year from them now asking if I want services and desperately trying to give me a quote for something that I have said over and over again that I do not want. I have told them at least 20 times that I do not want services and to take me off the list. I see that you inquired 2 years ago yeah and still not interested. If you inquire about services they will not stop calling you. I get that it s sales, but Jesus Christ give it a rest.

My specialist, Brad Walton, does a great job making sure my weeds are zapped before they really take root. And he is able to get through my fencing and close things up as they were before he arrived.

I would give 0 stars if possible. They are thieves. I was told they did a pest control service at my house this morning and they did not do it. This is the second time. Tech said she was at my house at 6:51 AM and tried to knock on the door. She had throw the paper saying so in the yard so my doorbell camera wouldn t pick her up. Little does she know I have cameras all over the house and I was personally outside at 6:45 until 7:10 am and never saw her. If you call the local number it transfers you to a call center in a foreign country who could care less about your experience. Paying ahead for services that are said to be performed and they are not is stealing. Tru green Lexington is an employer of thieves.

Ive had two separate experiences with TruGreen lawn care, and both times left me disappointed due to a significant lack of communication. The first incident occurred when I had a gathering of 30 people at my home, and without any prior notice, TruGreen showed up to spray and aerate my lawn. It was incredibly disruptive, and it would have been considerate if they had informed me in advance so I could plan accordingly. Fast forward to the next year, after we had moved to a new location, and they repeated the same mistake (at our old home.) They serviced our lawn without notifying us. This lack of communication is unacceptable and has led to a significant inconvenience on both occasions. I only knew of the service when I recieved the Your service has been performed email....I called and they refused to refund my money, so the new owners of the home received services on my wallet. Even though I received NO notification of services, they are saying since they had my correct phone number I am liable. As a result, I am hesitant to recommend TruGreen based on my experiences.

In the past, TruGreen was excellent to work with. They had always agreed to text or call before they made an application. I actually require that of any lawn care service. Back In December, they made an application without contacting me prior. I didn t want or need the application because they had been here just a few weeks before and the lawn was dormant. I called and told them that I would not be paying for that. The past three months I have gotten numerous calls and letters about that charge. I have spoken to numerous customer service reps. Today I got a letter threatening to bring in a collection agency. I am so done with this company. The lack of professionalism and customer care permeates throughout their organization. So today, I paid that bill and cancelled. Never again TruGreen.

I bought the one year plan so they could make my lawn look good. First, my lawn doesn t look good after 8 months. And now, they go to the wrong address to do a lawn aeration, when I call them to let them know they went to my neighbor address instead of mine, they say ok we ll send them back, BUT they charge me extra for it. When I called them to ask about the charge they said it s for the aeration I asked for! I didn t ask for anything extra I just told them they never came to do the one that was included. Then she told me, the aeration wasn t included. But when I went to the app to see if it was included, it actually is included!! Cause they send me the ticket for the service (included) that I never received! So they lied to me but they also charge me extra for something I already paid for! Never again!! Bad service, bad lawn, bad people! Crooks!!!!

I had Trugreen taking care of my front yard and I was taking care of the back. I can tell you that the area I have been treating myself looks so much better. Its nearly May and they had only been out 1 time. My front yard is full of all kinds of different weeds and is just an eyesore. I filed a BBB complaint and there Corporate office basically blamed me for not calling them back out for a reapplication within the 10 day satisfaction period. She said the first application had weed control in it which is not true according to the treatment statement left on my door. I canceled the service and switched to a different company. Don t waste your time with this company.

Caught them only performing half of the paid for service four times. Poor management, shady dealings. Would NOT recommend.

Trugreen provided great weed control and helped promote excellent grass growth!

I have been using Trugreen for about one year. After researching and speaking with other lawn services in my area, I chose Truegreen based on how affordable it is compared to others, and I needed a treatment against grubs wreaking havoc on my newly sodded lawn at the time. My lawn now looks great! The price of a professional treating my 5,500 sq/ft lawn outweighed buying the materials myself, and the amount of time it would take for me to apply the correct amount of the product was well worth it. The customer service is friendly when you call in as well. That said, trying to get information from Truegreen about lawn issues and setting up a specific service call is horrendous! There are so many miscommunications inside Trugreen that I get different answers every time I call in. It took me two months speaking with five different customer service reps and finally a manager to schedule the aeration package! It took multiple weeks for my lawn to be even treated for grubs when this was one of the reasons I needed a lawn service! I have security cameras which also caught the reps NOT treating the entirety of my lawn. When my yard showed fungal issues, I called customer service to set up a lawn rep to inspect my property, and I requested a callback. The representative treated my property for routine weed control. The rep missed the fungi inspection and application, and I never received a callback. If you are looking for an affordable route, Truegreen is great. Just know that you will sometimes be pulling your hair out trying to get answers or set up a service call regarding a concern. It may be worth the extra amount to use a company that develops a personal working relationship with you regularly treats your lawn.

The last year We used TruGreen for our mosquito control. We had to call them out eaIt was very unprofessional of you all toch time to respray because the treatment deemed to make them come put even more. So I canceled last summer. This summer they took it upon themselves to come back out at 7:24am and sprayed our yard without It was very unprofessional of you all to comeIt was very unprofessional of you all to come out toIt was very unprofessional of you all to come out to ourIt was very unprofessional of you all to come out to our home andIt was very unprofessional of you all to come out to our home and spray our yard. Charging us another $89.95 for the trestment. Not only did they have to refund us. But THANKS to them and whatever they are actually spraying we are being ate up just a day or 2 later. We had NOT been having any issues until after the took it upon themselves to spray. Now we are having to spend $$$ on controlling our yard that wasnt havi g issues until then. Thanks Trugreen NOT. Customer service is POOR! After over 10 years of being a customer, and watching their services worsen regarding my lawn, I called to cancel. The girl on the phone was rude, continually tried to up-sell me to stay on, when I asked her 4 different times to cancel my service, she hands up the phone. POOR service, not worth the $ you could save doing your own lawn with their products.

An unauthorized grub treatment was done and my promised refund never arrived. It s been one month. My service today was a granular fertilizer for my 3/4 acre He was here 15 minutes and only did the perimeter of the yard. I tried to catch him as he was heading to his truck but I was not fast enough. I agree with the other reviews, my yard looks worse after Trugreen.

Over fertilized and killed grass in multiple places. Multiple calls to customer service, no apologies, and no rectification. Finally got someone out to take photos and they said theyd correct. No one ever came out. Additional multiple calls and no notes about previous complaints and corrections. Worst company ever! Cant even contact the local branch. Customer service even said they werent allowed to transfer to the local branch. Just want them to fix their mistake. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!

They were great. Then stopped showing up. Call to complain they hang up lol. After about 12 phone calls and nothing being resolved I give up. They don t want me!

I truly cannot express enough how much I am dissatisfied with this company. Repeatedly they serviced my yard, but despite numerous times of contacting them, they never serviced my backyard which is where I needed it the most (and was the only reason I used this service). I paid almost $140 each service for my backyard to greet me ever so kindly with a CLOUD of mosquitos Their customer service is NOT EVEN CLOSE to even being decent. I *might* get a refund for my service that WASN T rendered after spending over 40 minutes speaking with someone who just disappeared from the conversation DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. You also have no way to communicate with the tech servicing your yard Take my advice, for your sake and that of those who you are doing the service for, find another place.

Since I can t give them 0 stars, I chose 1 star. We prepaid for lawn service this year since they provide a discount at that moment. Apparently, that also makes them not come out and service your yard. We had to call and multiple times for service. Then the branch manager, Jeff Williams, gave me his cell number if we had any more issues. Next service wasn t punctual as in years past so I text him. No response. Then a few weeks later. Called him. No response for 3 days. Finally cancelled service in August (or thought we did with corporate office) and got a refund for our remaining services. Then yesterday on 10/11, TruGreen came to service my yard again and charged my card! I called immediately and was told that a cancellation was never in the computer. How can this be? They refunded my money and I spoke to the 4-5 times trying to initially get a refund. Luckily, Zeph at the call center says she put the notes in the system to cancel our service and issue my refund from yesterday. Fingers crossed this actually happens. On a side note, we are continually harassed by sales reps trying to upsell services. Since we thought we cancelled service in August, we ve gotten at least 3 phone calls and told them each time, we are no longer a customer. I also requested to speak to someone higher than the branch manager and that seems to be an impossible request. Buyer beware there a way better lawn services out there that won t cause you stress.

We used TruGreen for 3 years, the complete lawn care program including grub control, fertilizer application, weed control and overseeding with aeration. This summer, something changed. Product/technician/communication were all terrible. About mid-summer, after watering the yard through the drought in central KY, the technician fertilized our yard and burned up several stripes throughout the lawn. A complimentary service visit was performed for inspection, where I watched the technician drive by the house on our home security camera. Did not get out of the truck or inspect the backyard. I called back again asking for sod and a refund, but was instead routed through voicemail and a local manager who responded once every 4 days to reply. In the meantime, our yard continued to wither. Grubs were back, with mole activity rampant. Crabgrass and weeds had taken over the front and back yard and the overfertilized areas were burned to bare dirt. TruGreen finally agreed to overseed and aerate for free, which they did on October 19. They left the gate open and our dog was let out. I called to cancel our service completely, as this was the final straw. Instead of completing my request, a technician was scheduled for fertilization October 21, while we were out of town. Once again the gate was left open and we were billed for the service visit. I had to again call to get the service visit refunded. Until there are major changes to the Lexington organization, I would avoid this company regardless of their discounts. If this year is any indication, youll lose your lawn and waste a lot of time trying to get any sort of remediation.

Terrible company to deal with, they are the typical corporate/ franchise operation. Horrible service that they make up for in volume so they dont really care if customers are satisfied or not. Cancelled my service after just 2 months.
