My husband contacted Wally who got back to him right away about possibly sodding or seeding our back yard. He had him come over to give us a price and we discussed what could be done. I also asked about doing some landscaping and the cost, and what trees he would recommend. We were going to seed instead of sod because of the price. Wally said he was going to check out some prices on trees and get back to us later that day. A couple of days went by and my husband tried calling him and it went straight to voicemail. He left text messages, no reply. Finally I used my phone and low and behold the call goes through. He tells my husband he is too busy to do the job and he doesnt have much help. When my husband asked if he blocked his number, Wally replied he might have? This is very unprofessional! All he had to do was let us know he couldnt do it. I would not recommend this business to anyone! 6/22/23 In response to the owners comment...a phone call would have been nice stating you couldnt do the job, and as far as it being price motivated, you never gave us a price! You also told me it would cost you $150 to rent an aerator from Lowes. We did the job ourselves and rented an aerator for $65. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS

RUINED OUR YARD AND DID NOT COMPLETE THE JOB WE SIGNED A CONTRACT FOR! Beware of this company scamming you!!! Refused to complete job and stopped responding once they realized they destroyed our yard. Hired for tree removal and full clean up, including preserving the rock landscape. This company did not complete the job and was unresponsive to requests to come finish the job. The rock landscape is now ruined and the company is not offering any kind of refund or to fix the job. We told them over and over we will pay in full once the job is complete per the contract but the company is refusing to answer and come complete the job. They left almost half a foot thick in tree shavings in our rock landscape that will cost thousands of dollars to replace. BEWARE OF THEM RUINING YOUR YARD AND STEALING YOUR MONEY!!

Had scheduled an appointment for a quote to have some services performed at my property. I had A lovely conversation with the owner of the company who confirmed he would take a look at the property and give me a quote. Unfortunately, after about three weeks and not hearing back, I reached back out and they told me they had become too overwhelmed and would no longer be able to provide service. Seems like they do great worker based on what I ve seen and heard but have been misleading and unable to provide these services for me.

Wally got back to me even though it s a busy season and made time for us. Great work for a good price. We ll definitely continue using Imperial!

Wally came over soon after I called and gave a reasonable estimate for doing some major landscaping with good quality soil that directed water away from the house on all sides. Not only was he able to complete the landscaping and drainage work, but he repaired our damaged chain link fence and a leaking gutter. Very pleased with the final quality the speed with which the work was completed. Recommend his company highly.

I am so pleased with my recent landscaping and drainage work from Imperial Lawn & Landscape. I had a bad drainage problem on both sides of my steps which caused water and mud to puddle and run onto the sidewalk. After receiving quotes from two other companies, I saw Wally and his crew doing landscape work down the street from my house (Cooper Drive). I had him come by to give me a quote and he was the only one to mention that I needed drainage under the planting to alleviate the problem, the others suggested planting only. His price was very competitive as well. I plan to have him remove and plant new shrubs in the future. He is very knowledgeable in all areas.

I wanted to have landscaping done but no idea what I wanted. Wally was perfect for the job. He came over and evaluated curb appeal and recommended a fantastic plan. They even painted the front porch to make everything look nice and it all blends. Quality of work was great. Cleaned up every spec and hauled it away. Highly respected and recommended!

Any time I have called, texted, or left a message, I get a response almost immediately - and if not immediately, then its definitely within the hour! Any time I have needed a service, they have worked me into their schedule, so I didnt have to wait long at all to have the work done. Lastly, they always show up when they say they will, and the work they do is lovely. You dont find such good communication, reliability, and high quality work very often. Its very much appreciated when you do, as I have found with Imperial. :)

We closed on a house in Lexington while still living in New Mexico and thought we had someone lined up for lawn care until we got to move, however that individual never showed up to work as scheduled. I have recently been told I have a pretty bad heart problem and cannot mow my lawn. And it was pretty high. I called Imperial and Wally was so understanding and kind. He and another fellow came over and mowed my yard within a couple of hours. I know he had to have made a special point of helping me. My beagle Jonathan and I are thrilled that he is now a lot taller than the grass. I promised Jonathan they would be back.

Wally quoted me for a job and asked me to call 811 to check before digging. I did as he asked and called once 811 had completed their part. Wally ignored all of my phone calls and texts about the job. This was a blessing in disguise, as I eventually found someone to do the job for $350 less than what Wally was asking.

I recently hired Wally to put some drainage in our backyard and seed. This was probably the best landscaping experience I have ever had. While I found his prices to be a little higher than others, I do believe in you get what you pay for. Wally was responsive to all communication, he was on time and up front about the cost. Snow removal

Great service and easy to work with. Fertilized and seeded yard. Starting front yard landscaping next week.

Called about removal of bushes in front of our house. Quick estimate. Next day service. House looks much better. Wife now has a flower project. Did such a good job, had the removal of trees/limbs hanging over our property done. No more worry of damage to the roof. Back yard looks great and sun reaches the base of the wall, grass will finally grow there. Crew came over the week of Easter. Cut lawn and that was it.

I am a local real estate investor who manages ALL of my own property and I am purchasing a new multi-family property in Lexington that needs a major landscaping makeover and of course, the grass cut weekly. My other big apartment buildings that have a landscaping company on them are not in Lexington so I reached out to Wally with Imperial because of his reviews. I spoke with him on the phone and texted him photos of the property. He texted me back 2 days later and asked if it was okay to go look at it today. I even offered to meet him there but he didn t respond to that so I let both realtors know he was going to be stopping by because I haven t closed on it yet. He called me and asked if he was going to be the first one to look at it and I said yes, but I have some others looking at it next week. He proceeded to chew me out telling me his show up costs and his starting fee for landscaping acting like I was a cheapskate. I explained to him that money is not a problem and I sure don t have a problem spending it. He was yelling at me that he is too busy and doesn t have time to come quote it if I m going to be getting quotes from others. I told him I AM going to be getting quotes from other companies and not sure who has upset him in the past but I don t appreciate his rude attitude and chewing me out. I spend thousands of dollars on landscaping and this was a missed opportunity for Wally. I would have hated to commit to this guy and then realized he was going to treat me like this afterwards. He is clearly looking to take advantage of someone who doesn t know any better. *** Just because someone is getting quotes, doesn t necessarily mean they are CHEAP. *** I am not going to commit to someone when you can t even go look at the property! I need to discuss what needs to be done. Yes, I m planning for this property now before I have closed on it because I ll be working multiple properties at once and cannot wait to start quoting then. I need the grass cutting to start immediately once I close, and the landscaping ASAP. Plus, anyone who has immediate availability for jobs has it for a reason they aren t good. I know I would of had to get on anyone goods schedule. I am in complete shock and stunned by Wallys chew out this morning. EDIT/UPDATE: Wally texted me saying Reviews work both ways. I am treating that as a threat and retaliation now. I dont understand this guys problem and its VERY bizarre behavior. All I wanted to do was possibly HIRE HIM. 2 days ago when I spoke to him, he was all about looking at the job. I am confused, shocked, baffled, and appalled. I do not have a tight budget and NEVER said that. I told him money was no issue after he started chewing me out. He thinks because I am having companies come quote that I am looking for a bargain. All I want to do is just HIRE SOMEONE. The job is a MAJOR makeover that is probably worth a several thousand dollars. Instead of just saying he isnt interested, he is chewing me and then keeps telling me his years of experience and is still mad about me getting quotes. The purpose of a quote for me is to meet the company and discuss what I need done and have a clear and professional expectations put on paper. After his threat back to me, I asked him what his problem was! He said he was trimming hedges like a dog and not behind a desk and was going to block me. Well, I saved him the time and blocked him instead. Yes, I did go to the trouble to write all of this because I am just so mind blown and cant even understand any of it.

I am very late in posting this review - Wallace helped me back in 2020, way past the usual planting season, to decide on trees for the back yard (2 red maples) and also on 2 hardy white crepe myrtles so my 15 year old cat would have something to look out at from each of two living room windows! He also suggested fountain grasses be placed in the side yard near a gas tank for the purpose of disguising it. I had slowly acquired trees and plants for the front yard of my newer home, originally with a rocky, barren surrounding. Too bad I didnt discover Imperial earlier after moving to Lexington in 2016! Once the decision was made on which plants to purchase, Wallace searched for just the right ones, which he and his team placed in just the right places. I love them! It was so exciting when they began turning green. I highly recommend his landscaping services. I look forward to having Imperial help maintain the health of the plants on my property.

I was in desperate need of a lawn service company when I seen a sharp looking setup sitting a few houses down at the neighbors house. By the way they have the best looking yard on the street. The truck had Imperial lawn and landscaping down the side of it! I called and talked to the owner Wallace he came and gave me a estimate and started immediately! He & his crew got my grass and landscaping looking as nice as a golf coarse! They come every week like clock work and do any & all lawn & landscaping jobs residential and commercial m! I highly recommend them to anyone!!

I do not recommend. Very expensive for the work and lack of professionalism throughout the process. So far this has been my worst experience with a local service. Im concerned that he threatened another reviewer but more surprised at the positive reviews.

Wallace and Jon did an amazing job. Beds were overgrown, tree limbs had gotten way too long, front yard needed sod, gutter drains were plugged, and all the rain had created a few washed out areas in the back. No trouble for Wallace and Jon. They were able to not only solve all my yard problems, mulch the beds, trim the trees, and lay the sod, but they were also super helpful and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond my expectations. I cannot recommend them enough for all your landscaping needs.

The back side of my house was at the bottom of a hill and I was concerned with rain water runoff from the hill would destroy my foundation. Asked Imperial Lawn care to put in a french drain and do some landscaping. They proposed adding hardy shrubs for a natural privacy fencing and also put in two planters for vegetable/flower garden. Their schedule was quite packed, so it took at least 3 weeks for them to start. But once they arrived, they were very fast and thorough. Finished the whole project in 3-4 days. Wallace was very responsive and answered all my questions about plant care and maintenance of the newly planted shrubs. I can see why his schedule is packed, because their work is very good. Working with them was a pleasure.

I had a very basic idea of what I wanted my back yard to look like (and my yard was a mess) but they took it to the next level. I needed my yard cleaned up, beams installed around my son s play set, a small stone patio built behind my garage for a fire pit and some Adirondack chairs, some trees planted along my fence line, and instillation of gravel and wood chips - on top of that, they also cleaned my hot tub! They communicated with me on every aspect of my landscaping design, listened to the things I wanted, and respectfully made their own suggestions- which were fantastic! I plan to hire them for another job as soon as this one is finished. You may find cheaper landscapers, but you get what you pay for, and Imperial lawn and landscaping are very fair with their prices. I highly recommend them.

I used Imperial for tree removal and tree/shrub trimming. I was very pleased with their work. Wally and his team showed up on time and did a solid job. Wally and his team were excellent to work with! Our yard has been neglected for a while and Wally quickly assessed what need to be done landscape clean up, replanting flowers and extra mulch. The back yard was void of ANY trees or plants not to mention devoid of privacy! They worked well within my budget, always responsive and on time and did EXACTLY what was promised and beyond. I called Wallace to put down sod after I had the area prepped and tilled following plumbing work. Within a week of our first conversation, he and his guys had the sod installed and the job completed. The sod was a high quality lush green tall fescue, and Wallace provided watering advice and guidance to help me navigate any issues. I also hired him to come back to mow and edge, and he does a beautiful job, leaving clean, crisp edges. Hes knowledgeable, experienced, and conscientious.

Great experience! Having a wedding at my home and my lawn needed some TLC. Imperial came out and actually explained what I needed to have done instead of telling me what I needed over the phone. Discussed the options and sent a quote over, project was started two days later and the lawn looks much better.

Wallace and his crew at Imperial Lawn and Landscape absolutely made my day!! He said he would be at my place in 2 hours and he was! Prompt, courteous, professional and very understanding and asks a fair price for quality work. I had rental property that needed attention ASAP and we had to immediately leave town for a very sad family emergency. Wallace said he could be at our place in 2 hours and he certainly was. We explained all the work we would like to have done, they got right to work. We had to bolt so left him a check for payment and later that day we received multiple pictures on my phone of my yard restored to prettiness. Thank you Wallace and crew!!! They went above and beyond with trimming a tree off the roof of the house and even cleaned that gutter which probably had not been cleaned in years. They cleaned off the out building and the dog kennel which has been over taken by vines. You folks at Imperial Lawn were seriously angels sent to us that day.

I routinely complete extensive yard work prior to winter. I wanted to aerate my lawn, but was having trouble finding a company. I thought I would try Imperial since I routinely see them in my area and figured other people must like this company. My initial phone call received prompt attention. I explained what service I would like to have completed. We arranged to meet at the house to finalize the expected work and be given an estimate. I was given an estimate for aeration, which was very reasonable. We then talked about other services, which I had planned to do by myself. The final list included seeding, applying lime and fertilizer, working on some small lawn areas that needed extra attention, removing old mulch and laying new down and applying top soil throughout the lawn. They spent a good part of a day performing all the work and then told me a watering plan to ensure growth. My lawn has never looked so good. I plan to use Imperial again, and I would recommend their services for your lawn.

$90 to mow half of a small lot and blow out debris. Probably 20 min of work max. A week later looked like no one had been there. I feel like I got ripped off; will not use again.
