Essence Lawn Care in Lenexa

Very inconsistent service, which is the worst thing a company can do. Called the office to fix and solidify the day many time, yes they started to get it right, but only 3/4 of the time. They have missed to mow my lawn for 3 weeks in a tow despite: 1. Texting many times to confirm someone will show up next week, 2. Calling and getting a verbal confirmation at that I am on the schedule and they “might miss service if the lawn was wet or it rained” both of which didn’t even happen in September. And yet, no one showed up. Absolutely ridiculous when you are waiting on a mow to over-seed. Would not recommend them to anyone. They have to get the commitment to customers and respectfulness to scheduling before they can get a high rating. During my time with them, I let go of a few times they did not edge and roughened up the property.

I tried to make it work with these guys but quality of service was very low. The management responded well and the reason I’m not giving a 1. But the quality of work doesn’t deserve more than a 2 maybe a 3 star.

Essence Lawn Care has been a hidden gem for me. If you are looking for a dependable yet affordable lawn care service this is the lawn care team for you. Very organized crew and they have high standards. Also, very knowledgeable when it comes to lawn health. Nothing against the commercial lawn care guys but you feel like a valued customer with Essence Lawn care. Highly recommend. 5 Stars all the way!

Used DIMBY promotion to use Essence to start mowing service. Some delays scheduling due to rain. No problem. But when weather improved these guys NEVER showed up despite assertions of "we'll be there on ..." Three weeks go by and nobody shows up. I had to chase them down for answers. First they couldn't find my house in a Leawood subdivision, then said they'll show up next day. Texts to them result in "we'll have a crew there tomorrow". Again no shows. I had to start using another service. Then today I get a bill for $36 for "services rendered" - what services? They never showed up. There are hundreds of good lawn care services out there. Just not Essence.

Essence Lawn Care has been an excellent lawn care service. They communicate well, on time and the quality of their services are top notch! I’m came home yesterday and was delighted to see how well the lawn looked, and to know it’s great when your wife mentions it! Haha… I’d recommend Essence Lawn Care to anyone!
