We used Matt, Dustin and the team at Rolling Landscapes for a big patio & landscaping project this summer, and we would recommend them to anyone! I had seen some of their work in our neighborhood and around downers grove and knew they did beautiful work - they did not disappoint! They were very easy to work with, responsive, professional, and honest. They did high quality work in a short timeframe. Our patio looks amazing and is everything we hoped it would be - I’d highly recommend them for any patio or landscaping work!
We had a number of flowerbeds removed and a couple others cleaned up after they became too much for us to handle. Rolling Landscapes finished the job quickly and expertly, and our yard looks beautiful now. Matt and Dustin were friendly and helpful throughout the process and gave us great detailed instructions for caring for our new grass and plants. We would definitely use them again for any landscaping projects in the future.
Matt, Dustin and his team were diligent, timely and great to work with on this project. Matt listened and prepared a lovely and fun space for our large ( 6 children) and growing family to use day & night.
Truly Outstanding Work! Over the past 20 years, I have hired several large landscaping firms with great reputations, but never before experienced the level of quality and service provided by Rolling Landscapes. From my first meeting with Matt (the owner), I was impressed with his recommendations for the upgrades to my home's landscaping that would offer the biggest impact for a reasonable cost. Throughout the project, Matt was always responsive, flexible, and a real pleasure to work with. In addition, all of the crew members who worked on my property were hard workers, helpful, knowledgeable, and took great pride in their work.
There aren't enough great things to say about Matt and his team at Rolling Landscapes. Matt patiently worked with us through numerous design changes (our requests) and delays (village and other contractors) to not only create a vision for our space, but to see it through to the entirety. The team does high quality work, leaves the area impeccably clean and in my opinion the extremely efficiently from the day the first shovel hit the ground. Matt has an incredible eye and knowledge of what will best suite your project's goals and fit your space appropriately. We had a significant landscaping project that included hardscape work where we rebuilt and extended our deck, regraded our side and back yard, buried piping, removed a sizable number of dead trees and added 30 new trees in addition to other landscaping. We considered several landscaping companies and are thrilled with our decision to hire Matt's Rolling Landscapes' team. He and his entire crew were professional, friendly, and meticulous. They worked with urgency and care, treating our home like it was their own. I even saw one of their team members here on a long weekend coming to water and check on the new plantings. Though I had hired an architect to design the project, Matt proactively made recommendations that helped to lower our costs substantially while maintaining the overall desired look and feel. Matt was available throughout the project and onsite regularly to check on the progress. Not only does Matt bring the talent, work ethic and team but he also demonstrated high integrity throughout which in this day and age is priceless. I will definitely hire Matt and his team again to do our front yard next year and would recommend him for large and small projects alike. (note: Even our neighbors like the work so much that we had two hire Matt to do work for them as well.)
Rolling Landscapes did a great job on my hardscape and landscape for my front porch and yard. They worked with me from design to post-installation, including: - Created a design to fit my budget - Replanted shrubs I wanted to keep to help me save money - Designed and installed a walkway, planting beds, and pavers for porch steps and landing - Recommended a great fabricator for my porch railings - Professional and polite installation crews - Visited post-installation to discuss a watering plan to keep my new plants healthy I'm very happy with their work and get lots of compliments on my new hardscape and landscape!
I have used Rolling Landscapes for over 20 years. Owner Matt Culligan, and designer Scott Martin and his team are reliable, polite, humorous, knowledgeable and creative. They have handled jobs ranging from simple fall cleanups to major hardscape and landscape design. The last job Matt worked on for me was a major, many months long project involving custom metal, stone, and concrete work. Matt's crew worked like horses yet handled the most delicate and fragile aspects of the job with the precision and gentle touch of a surgeon. The final result is completely one-of-a-kind and truly jaw-dropping. I will continue to use Rolling Landscapes for all my future landscaping needs and recommend them without hesitation. Give Matt a call. You won't be sorry that you did.
I am not easily impressed. Dustin and his crew did such an incredible job, however, I was pleasantly surprised. The new patio, water feature and tree finished our landscaping beautifully. They were all hard working and creative.
Elements of a successful project include good communication, attention to detail, ability to problem solve and a willingness to work hard through completion. The team at Rolling Landscapes, Inc provided all of these on executing a landscape design that completely transformed our backyard. The result is stunning! We look forward to working with Rolling Landscapes, Inc again and highly recommend them.
We needed a dog friendly (two big Doodles), drainage issue fix, and privacy for our backyard. Rolling Landscape completed our project in all these area and it looks beautiful. Dustin the landscape architect listened to all of our needs/wants and he executed them with professionalism and in a timely manner. My dogs don t come in with muddy feet anymore and when I look outside I can t believe its my backyard.
Rolling Landscapes has worked swiftly to help rectify my situation. They were responsive during their busy time and wanted to make things better. We do not have a plan yet but I feel strong about Rolling Landscapes willingness to stand behind their clients needs. We used Rolling Landscapes after a new home build. We had many trees and shrubs planted. They designed an area in the backyard to have 4 trees, after year 1 we noticed they were not doing well, they came out begrudgingly and there was no solution discussed. We are at 2.5 years and all are dead. I tried to contact them regarding my disappointment but have yet to hear back. I dont think they stand behind their product. Although they did a decent design job and installation, the customer service is lacking.

Rolling Landscapes designed and built our entire landscape and hard scape during our full home renovation. Of all the contractors we worked with during that year long project, they were easily the most professional, reliable, and creative. We described our ideas loosely when we first met Matt and he converted that into a perfect design on his first attempt. Clearly he listened well and observed the rest of the projects style. He chose the right spots to spend more money and restrained himself in the places where there was no need to splurge. Matt hung with us during all the project delays (none were his fault) and when time came to execute, his crew was on time, professional, and courteous. They cleaned thoroughly, worked around the other contractors, and were unfailingly courteous the whole time. Ive recommended him to other people without hesitation.
We contacted this company in 2012 to redesign and potentially install a new front yard landscape. Their final design was nothing that we had discussed and it was obvious that he wanted to sell us something that was not pragmatic for our home or use. The owner (Matt Culligan) of this company was extremely angry and agitated when he learned that we were using another company. I am so relieved that we did not use his services and would ask anyone to think twice before contacting him.
