Previously used when they were Utah Tree Works. This company honored my service with Utah Tree Works and came back to rectify stumps that weren t fully ground out. When they couldn t fit the stump grinder through a fence slot, they took an axe and cut it completely away. Honestly best service ever! Strongly recommended!

Tyler, a certified arborist, came out to give me a bid on tree removal and pruning. He went above and beyond, giving me tips for how to prune some of my shrubs. He even showed me how! He answered all my questions thoroughly and was incredibly polite and professional. If I go with their bid, I will return and update this review. For now, very impressed with the consultation! A few months later and I am updating my review. I went with this company and they were incredibly helpful. Even when we ran into a few snags, the customer service was amazing. They were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!

I am updating this review one more time with what I have learned. After getting 4 bids from other companies, Savatrees bid was almost double the cost of everyone else. I asked some of the other companies about the likelihood of injuries. They said it was unlikely (they use tools with long poles so dont use tall ladders) and so I feel like Patrick was really exaggerating the risk. Also, the company I ended up going with noticed that Utah Tree Works (the old company) hadnt been pruning my apricot correctly (it is supposed to be pruned differently than an apple) and that my apple trees werent being pruned for fruit production, just shade. Maybe Savatree would do better than Utah Tree Works but they didnt mention (or notice?) either of these issues. I dont think it was fair to give Savatree two stars since they didnt perform any service. I am upgrading it to five stars and leaving those who read it to decide for themselves what they think. I have edited my original review to take out my original upset but am leaving the details. Patrick at Savatree reached out and came to give me another estimate. I found out several things about the company. In the past, as Utah Tree Works, they were able to charge very cheaply because they paid their employees poorly and didnt provide benefits. Also, they didnt always have the safest equipment and practices. I also learned that any company that works at my house should have insurance and workmans comp for its employees because, otherwise, I am liable for anyone who gets injured on my property. It sounds like they are working hard to treat their employees well so I will give them kudos for that. In addition, my discussion with Patrick helped me to better define my goals for my trees. We dont really care about producing fruit and it is cheaper to trim for shade. I still think they are a bit on the expensive side, but I am currently getting other bids from insured companies to see how they compare. Previous review: We have loved using Utah Tree Works in the past. They have been affordable and done a great job. I just got a quote from them yesterday. Their employee who came to give me a quote was very apologetic and warned me that the cost was going to be significantly more. Last year it was $550 to prune my three trees. I was thinking the new estimate might be $800-1000. However, this year the estimate was $1872 for those same three trees.

Tyler did a great job diagnosing issues with trees and shrubs on our property. He is knowledgeable, professional, helpful and took the time to evaluate and explain his recommendations and our options. He provided an estimate and a reasonable, recommended plan right away. He went above and beyond! Highly recommend!

We had Save A Tree remove three 40 ft trees and prune 5 trees at our home. The team (James, Thayne, Kyle, Carter, Brian and Logan) did an excellent job. They were very polite, did great work and cleaned up after they were done. It was a big job that took all day. I would definitely use SAV A Tree Lehi again!

Dave came out to give us a free estimate and let us know the tree would need to be replaced. Great service and answered all of my questions. Even though it was just a free estimate, and no other services needed to be rendered, they still treated me like a valued customer and if I ever need to use their services in the future I will know who to call.

These guys are awesome! My neighbor was having work done and we had some trimmings we were trying to get rid of. They let us put our trimming in their grinder no problem. It helped us so much with trying to figure out how to haul all the branches away! Tannon, James, and Carter were so great!

Tyler came to our home to give us a quote on our badly misshapen peach tree which needed pruning. Although we did not feel we could pay what was quoted, Tyler was very courteous. He seemed very knowledgeable and we appreciated his time.

The arborist, Tyler, was super helpful and professional. He gave us thorough feedback on our proposed project and explained all the costs to us clearly. He gave us good information about another couple of tree projects we know will need to be done soon and helped us understand what to look out for in terms of the health of our bigger trees and what would be involved in trimming them back or taking them down if needed.

Graysen, James, Brian and Tyler were great!! They were quick clean and effective Update- the more I look at these trees, there was no fine tune pruning done. They left lots of little suckers everywhere and doesn t look like they shaped a couple trees like I was told would happen. I feel if I had the right tools to reach higher I could have done the same things, and I m not an expert.

Dave came out to look at my maple tree last year that has been struggling. It was topped years before I bought the home and there were several residual consequences. I didnt want to remove the tree since it shades my home. My tree has started to look better and I couldnt be happier! I highly recommend calling SavATree for anything your trees need!

David from SavATree came for an estimate for pruning our 4 trees. He did a great job explaining how the team would prune our trees. He listened very well for the request I wanted with trimming the trees so the branches do not obstruct our house, side walk, and the road. He also quickly saw one of my trees was infected with fire blight and explained how they can treat it. The estimate was reasonable and the team came the next morning and did an amazing job. The trees looked well pruned and they cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend SavATree and I will definitely have them come back again next year.

Two 50 plus willows. One in backyard the other in front. From startup to cleanup, these guys showed the absolute highest in professionalism. I cannot say enough good about the team that came out, but I can say HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Great company. They answered my early morning call and had their crew on-site and removed a large tree by lunch time. I am impressed with the cleanup they did and leaving our parking lot looking great.

Updated 12/20/23 The Lehi Branch Manager reached out to me and later stopped by to look and explain the circumstances that happened. They have made this completely right by coming back today and re-trimming/re-shaping the shrub and even offering a partial rebate. I appreciate all theyve done. They really do strive for the highest service quality. I wont hesitate to do business with them again, now. I initially asked to lower the a 14 foot shrub and shape/round it out on the sides. The crew that showed up pretty much only gave it a 1 foot flat trim on top. I asked them to take another 2 feet off the top and trim the sides in and shape it round. They flattened the top another foot and didnt do anything more that I could tell. Next time I looked outside they were gone, without knocking to ask me to take a look. Overall, their work was shabby. I ended up using my own trimmer to shape the shrub and trim the sides in more. No more SavATree for me, next time Ill look elsewhere for service.

Price was competitive. Service was courteous, professional and prompt. They did a great job. No complaints here!

I am very pleased with the outstanding service Utah Tree Works provided. I called 3 or 4 local tree removal companies and none of them came close to offering a comparable price bid or the high professionalism they offered. In fact, I was very impressed with their responsiveness in coming out to my house not once, but twice, to give me multiple price quotes. Dave was very personable and took the time to answer all my questions - which means a lot when youre the wife who has been tasked with getting bids! The crew arrived on time and called to let me know they were on their way. They removed 7 gigantic cottonwoods from my yard and it only took them 2 days. Everyone on the crew was very friendly and helpful. They were very conscientious of our property and the neighbors around us. They were careful and considerate in cleaning up afterwards too. Considering the work that had to be done, their prices were competitive and reasonable and they didnt try to nickle and dime us when my husband opted to do the stump grinding himself. I will definitely use them again!

Ive had utah tree works come out twice(once every year) to inject an antibiotic to help bring my tree back to life and its working! So far where the tree was dying there are sprouts coming back and its turning green again. Ive been watering it with this tool they suggested which helps get the water to the roots. Im super happy with their service and am happy my tree is coming back to life.

They did a great job in removing our trees, grinding the stumps, and then trimming our cherry in the front! The trees they took down were massive like 40 feet tall and almost completely dead. They were reasonably priced and easy to schedule. I would use them again in a heartbeat and have already recommended them to a couple of our neighbors! Outstanding service! We (as well as relatives) have used Utah Tree Works/SavATree several times over the past decade. The team members were knowledgeable and appeared to use very safe practices. (In the past, we used some other door-to-door services that managed to have a falling tree destroy a swingset, etc. Not so with these guys!) They cleaned up beautifully after themselves, even raking the area where they worked and blowing fine debris out of the streets. They were faced with the impossible task of pleasing both my husband (the original Johnny Appleseed who would rather lose a human limb than a tree limb) and me ( Give me sunshine and get rid of these branches). Utah Tree Works are amazing to work with. I had major tree damage done from the recent heavy snow storm. Three 50 tall trees in my backyard were heavily damaged. They came out the same day for a quote and had all the work done 24 hours later. It was a 10 hour long 3 man job. All of them were very professional and work very hard to get the work done before another storm comes in tonight. Totally cleaned up after themselves, it was very well done. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone needing work done!

David was very quick to respond to our request for a quote and provided a very fair price for the work of removing a tree and pruning another. They came almost the next day after accepting the quote and they did a very good job of removing a tree we had near our house. They provided a clear explanation of what they would do and when they would be returning to grind down the stump. I would definitely use their services again.

Utah Tree Works recently took out a giant 40 year old catalpa tree at a rental house we own. They gave me an extremely reasonable estimate, came within a few days, and had the tree down and removed within a couple of hours on a somewhat snowy day even though I said they could wait for better weather. They were very enjoyable to work with and even did a couple things that were not in the estimate. They ground the stump and left the area clean, but leaving me a lot of good mulch to use in my flower beds. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing tree work and plan to use them again when I need more work done. Thanks, Utah Tree Works!!

These guys are awesome. I had two large Globe Willows that had gotten out of control and needed to be cut back and pruned to make them manageable again. After reading previous reviews my expectations were high but they were significantly surpassed by the job they did. We could not be more pleased with their services. We had a huge pine tree that needed removed in our front yard. I needed some branches trimmed away from my roof and some dead branches removed from the trees. They had a guy come out and give me an in person estimate and then setup a time to accomplish the work. The day of the job, they called me to let me know they were on their way and arrived promptly. They did a great job and for a good price! In my backyard I have a place of solace. My walnut tree provides shade, beauty, and a place for contemplation. Last year, my tree began dying. I lost a few branches. I reached out to several companies and the only services they offered were tree or branch removal. This year I finally found Utah Tree Works. They came out and looked at the tree. They cared first for the health of the tree and did much more than offer to cut off the dead branches. The tree health specialist was knowledgeable and prepared. He gave my tree a fighting chance. Utah Tree Works removed a large spruce tree from my front yard near a property line. It was a tight job since there are other trees in the yard, and I was very happy with how respectful they were to the property and ensuring impact to both mine and my neighbors yard was limited. My neighbor claimed there was some small damage to some plants on her side of the fence (I was unsure of the extent and could not verify damage myself). Tom from UTW spoke to my neighbor and resolved the situation - I was very impressed with his customer service. I would happily use UTW again and would recommend them to anyone.

David came out and talked about the trees we had around our newly purchased home. Three of them had been top-cut a few years back by a previous owner and two of those were now in very bad shape. **Never top your trees, people.** Utah Tree Works taught us why its irresponsible and because of this professionalism theyve won our business for life. Two of our topped trees had to be removed because of slow decay but, thankfully, the biggest tree was in good enough shape that it could be saved with a restorative prune. Scheduling our tree removal and pruning was a breeze and UTW showed up right on time. Scott and his team did a great job removing our maple, pruning the ash, and cleaning up afterwards.Tom (the owner) even showed up and gave us some extra pointers on the trees that were in better condition but still needed our attention. I enjoyed working with UTW and all the advice and pointers they gave us on how to care for our trees. Well be using them for all our tree needs going forward.

Yesterday, Scott, Thayne and Jesse worked all day trimming, cutting, and making our trees look so good. They were so friendly and I loved how much they know about trees and how to cut them as an arborist would. They are trained in this area and it really made a difference. We had them come remove two trees and thin out a third that had all outgrown our yard space. They were prompt and professional with setting up the appointment and when they showed up to do the job. The job was done is record time. They cleaned up everything and informed us when the stump removal would come by to finish it all up. Right on schedule, they showed up again and removed the stumps again in what seemed like only a couple minutes. I am SO pleased at how they made what were huge, daunting jobs to me, into quick tasks for them, and their price to do it was wonderful. Utah Tree Works were absolutely amazing from start to finish! When I first called to get an estimate, Dave was out to our house within a couple days. He emailed me the estimate that same day about an hour after he left. I received bids from four other companies and Utah Tree Works was by far the most affordable. As soon as I decided to go with them they got me on their schedule. A couple weeks later Peter and his crew showed up to take down a GIANT willow in our backyard, two massive willow branches coming into our yard from the neighbors, and two aspens in our front yard. Unfortunately due to the lack of access in my backyard, they had to remove the willow without any kind of lift machinery. Let me tell you, the way they fell large portions of the trees required some serious skill and physics. You could tell they had calculated exactly where the tree was going to fall without causing any damage. I honestly cant tell you how impressed I was. Im pretty certain that all of my neighbors on the block had come over to watch at one point or another. About a week later after they had applied poison to the willow stump, another guy came out to grind down the stump. He also did a great job! Seriously, if you have any trees you need to trimmed or taken down, call these guys. Their professionalism was top notch and they really know what theyre doing.

Ill admit I was a little nervous since the huge pine tree they were removing was right next to the garage (the trunk was touching the roof) and it was close to a shed and covered back porch. They honestly left the area/driveway cleaner than when they got there, in no way is that an exaggeration! Hello everyone! I really wanted to give a shout out to the guys at Utah Tree Works. I recently heard about a service called Chip Drop, and finally gave it a try since I wanted to try wood chipping my garden space. Within a week of signing up for the drop, Utah Tree Works arrived with a huge load of chips. After clearing down the pile, I ordered another load. A few days later they arrived again. Not only that but in my description I asked if it were possible to get some pine chips. Somehow they did it and got me some. I thought that was very cool of them to do that for me. Not only that, but my second load was kinda small, and they asked if I wanted more. BIG YES! (And if I wanted more wood chips to just call them and theyd be happy to bring me more, saving me from having to pay more Chip Drop service fees.) Before I got home later that day there was another huge load dropped and waiting. More pine! I love the smell of pine! These guys were great, friendly, and considerate. I think its great that theyll deliver the extra wood chips from the trees they cut down to people who want to use them for their gardens and yards. Its a good service, and from someone on the receiving end, I am very happy with the quality of the wood chips Utah Tree Works brought me.

I had 3 huge trees to be removed. The crew showed up early in the morning, worked all day until the job was finished. They did a wonderful job, I cant believe they finished in one day! I had three trees close together and one of them blew over on my neighbors house during the windstorm Sept 7-8. The other two trees were ready to fall. I called Utah Tree Works and they were able to come the same day. They were fast, reasonable, professional and extremely good to work with. Unfortunately, I have been one of a number of homeowners who purchased a fast-growing Rocky Mountain Austree (hybrid willow). They lived up to the hype. I planted three of them ten years ago (trunk size @ 1.0 inch diameter), and now it takes three men holding hands to reach around the trunk. I definitely needed some trimming. Utah Tree Works came to the rescue eliminating several to the most awkward, overhanging limbs (each were the size of a tree in itself). It was NOT an easy task, and I was amazed at their ability to tackle the job. I can always tell how well a person works by how well they clean up afterwards. These people are PROFESSIONAL in all aspects. I recommend them hands down.

I was just driving behind one of your trucks, it was dumping large piles of wood chips all over the street from 500w 300s in Provo all the way to center Street and most likely all the way to i-15 (I turned before that). That is actually illegal, please make sure your drivers are properly licensed.

I wish every service provider performed to the same standard as Utah Tree Works. We got multiple bids and were a little nervous about going with the lowest bid (a LOT lower than the highest one) but Wade was so professional we felt confident he and his crew could do the job. They showed up right on time, they snapped right to work, they figured out exactly how to tackle the gigantic old tree, and in four hours that thing was all chipped, the debris was cleaned up, and there was nothing left but a memory. Super polite, capable, and they do exactly what they promise. Love it!!!!

We had Utah Tree Works come to remove 2 trees, one 60 foot pine and one 90 foot poplar. The price was definitely fair. They had scheduled 2 days and were done in 1 day. When I contacted them to trim our two ash trees they were very professional, scheduled a time, and followed up a few days before to confirm the appointment. They did very clean work on the trees and didnt make them look bare. The aesthetics of the tree were bought back in line. They were also able to do an additional maple in back, same day, that I wasnt originally planning on trimming. I would definitely use their service again.

After maintaining the bushes in our yard for several years we decided we needed some professional help. They were left to over grow for several years and it was hard work trimming them. Utah tree works removed several bushes that were too large and too close to our house, trimmed 4 trees, and about 15 bushes. For the amount of work they did the price was extremely reasonable. Crew was great, they finished in the time they quoted (probably the first time ever on any home project Ive ever done) and the best part was that we got the quote in the fall but were planning on doing it in the early spring, and he called me to schedule. I didnt spend any time tracking them down to schedule. Weve probably already earned the cost back in equity from the significantly better curb appeal. Im a garden person, my dad is a landscape architect, and they definitely know their stuff in terms of plant care and aesthetics. Will be hiring again for future work.

Im getting ready to call again and realized that I had promised to do a review and hadnt done that. We used Utah Tree Works last year for the first time and were pleased with the trees they trimmed and for the job they did on removing some boxwoods we wanted to get rid of. Wade and his crew did an excellent job taking out two elm trees and the stumps for me. I had gotten quotes from four different companies. Utah Tree Works came in lowest for the larger of the two trees and they were willing to match the price (from another company) on the smaller of the two trees. I hired them based on that and their good online reviews. They were very safe and thorough in their work. I had expected to be left with the job of raking up a bunch of smaller limbs, as I had from another tree I had taken out (by another company a few years ago), but that was not the case. The crew with Utah Tree Works did an amazing job with clean up. They didnt leave a single limb in my yard. (They carefully cut and stacked some wood from my trees on the other side of the fence for my neighbors, as my neighbors had requested.) They cut the trees down in small pieces to prevent any hazards to house, fence, etc. They were on time and stayed until the project was complete--nine hours for the first project I hired (the tree removal). I hired them again a couple of weeks later for the stump removal and was again quite satisfied. The price was quite reasonable and the work was done well. I plan to hire Utah Tree Works for my next tree projects. I found them to be trustworthy, thorough, and reasonably priced.

I called this company today and explained that I was sort of in a hurry to get a tree stump out. Wade, the owner, was EXTREMELY accommodating and nice! I used Utah Tree Works and specifically Wade Erickson to take down and remove an old snarly 35 foot black walnut tree next to a wall in my backyard. While the tree was planted in our yard a large part of the tree hung over the wall into an elementary school yard. In addition, several sizeable branches were also above a large power generating unit for the school. The bid to remove the tree was very competitive. I also wanted him grind down the tree stump below the surface. He completed the work in about six hours .It was an excellent job no damage to the wall or the power unit. He cleaned up both areas and took all of the branches, trunk and old rotten black walnuts that had fallen on the ground. He did accidentally clip a small water drip line that ran past the tree. He pointed this out to me when he was finished and told me he would be back to fix the line with a sealed sleeve; which he did several days later. Overall, I would give him my highest possible rating nice person, good work and very reasonable price.

They were able to remove a very large Chinese Elm that had grown over a shed and a neighbors home without doing any damage to either structure. We moved on some property that had a huge overgrown pear and an apple tree. We decided to cut the pear tree down completely, as it was planted too close to the back door, and was also a magnet for yellow jackets. Then we just wanted the apple tree pruned way down so we could reach the apples. The guy, (I am really bad with names, but I think it is Wayde) was very friendly and on top of things. He came out the same day that I called and gave me an estimate. Having never dealt with tree trimming before, I was expecting to have to pay way more than quoted, so I was pleasantly surprised to get a quote that I felt was very fair. We scheduled him to come out a week later and he and another guy came to do the job. They were quick, efficient, and cleaned up everything - aside from half the wood that we wanted to keep, but even that was stacked up nicely. They completed the job and were gone in under and hour. He also explained to me how to keep up with the apple tree so I could get the best fruit. I would definitely recommend these guys to everyone, dealing with them has been great. If I ever need anything else done, I will go straight to them.

We have lived in our home for 25 years and our trees were mature when we moved in. Our trees have never been professionally pruned before, thus had lots of dead wood and some were very misshaped. One of our trees is a 50-foot tall willow that had over half of the limbs dead. I was concerned about this tree in particular because I didnt want the tree topped. When I asked Wade what he would do with the tree, he said that they dont top trees, but will cut all the dead wood out. I liked that. He said his philosophy is to both make the trees look good, plus to care for the health of the tree. Wade and his crew spent three days at our home, carefully pruning our 20 or so mature trees. They have never looked better. They did everything they said they would and their price was very fair. I would highly recommend them!

These guys are amazing! I had a huge dying tree in a pretty tight spot in my backyard. It had to be removed in sections and they got it out and cleaned everything up in just a couple of hours! It was right next to some cement and they even lined up some of the cut limbs next to the tree and cut it down so the trunk fell right on to the center of the line of limbs instead of crashing into my cement. They are incredibly professional and capable. I would recommend them to anyone!

Wade and his crew arrived promptly as scheduled and did a super job in a short time !! Their stump grinder is a monster and took care of the remaining roots and stump in a flash. The bid was so much lower than the others I received, it was well worth the money and saved me so much work. We still have several trees and when they die off, Wade will be the one I will call. I HIGHLY recommend Utah Tree Works.

We were so impressed with Wade and his crew. They were professional, responsive, conscientious, and got the job done for an affordable and fair price. They removed an enormous tree surrounded by fences and neighboring yards and took great care to avoid damage. The ensured that everything was cleaned up and returned to how it was before the removal. We had bids from several companies and are so glad we chose Utah Tree Works. They are a great company I wouldnt hesitate to recommend.

The corner of our front yard was overwhelmed by a 65 ft honey locust being choked by significant ivy. Utah Tree Works quoted the best price we had received and started work promptly. They removed the tree, ground down the stump, and cleaned up our yard. They worked quickly and safely.

Had Utah Tree Works cut down and remove a 30 + year old blue spruce that was taking over the yard and house. They cut it down professionally and in the time they said they would and cleaned up when they were done. I would recommend them.

GREAT yard work. Completely reworked the sprinkler system on a home I bought in Orem. Added sprinklers, changed heads, found a buried valve box, installed water to the garden, repaired multiple broken lines, trimmed neighbors pine branches hanging over my yard, and probably more that I have forgotten. All of this for under $500 in labor. I will work with him in the future, and will recommend to all of my friends, clients, and neighbors.

Ive tried a few tree places, and theyre either too expensive or dont do a good, thorough job. As a result, Ive never called any back again. Utah Tree Works is very thorough, reasonably priced, and easy to work with. Ive finally found my tree guys to keep calling over the years.

Wade and his crew were very professional and efficient. They worked with us to make sure we were happy with all the trimming they did and after it was over they cleaned up the yard. Overall, I would use them again. They did a great job!

I had Wade and his crew trim 6 trees and remove 2 bushes for me, and theirs was the best job done to date! I have my trees trimmed every 2-3 years and Ive never #1 Had the boss there doing the work along with his crew. This was helpful for me because if I needed to ask questions or if I had concerns, he was on site to answer them, #2 the clean up was perfect! They had professional people who knew what they were doing and professional equipment. My trees have NEVER looked so good !! I was so impressed that I hired them to do my lawn service!

Utah Tree Works took care of two properties in one day. Both had been neglected for years and they made everything look great--right on time; exactly at bid! Wade and his co-workers were extremely capable and courteous. They made sure everything was satisfactory, working late to make each tree look just right.
