I highly discourage anyone from using LawnBoy Lawn Services if you want to have a decent lawn. While mowing this season, they repeatedly ran over our trees roots, and now the tree is dying. We will have to pay to have the tree cut down and the stump removed. Not to mention that will make our front yard unsightly. Also, when adding compost to our lawn at the end of summer, their crew added the compost so thick that it actually killed the grass in many areas. We now have many bare patches in our lawn. Then, LawnBoy did our fall cleanup when 90% of the leaves were on the trees. So, now after my husband and I have paid 2k+ for their services, we have a dying tree, a lawn with many bare spots and a yard full of leaves that we cleaned up ourselves. Don't waste your time or money with this company because they will not try to make it right when they do wrong.

I would strongly advise against using this company. They came highly recommended by our realtor so we thought we could trust them but it was a mistake. They re-landscaped our front flower beds and after two months six of the shrubs look extremely unhealthy - they look like they've died with all the leaves having turned brown and falling off. We asked for them to be replaced or for a refund but the owner is adamant they are not dead and will not do anything except suggest we pay MORE money to develop a "care plan". This is after we have followed the watering routine he suggested and the 20+ other plants in the same bed are doing just fine. From start to finish their work was fraught with issues but we kept giving them the benefit of the doubt - after completely clearing our front flower beds they took over a month to come back and replant. This is after us chasing every week asking when they would replant. After the third week of asking, I was told that they were waiting on me to confirm what plants I wanted, after having sent them a list over a month previous, before the work began. The owner did not send us a design until the day before he planned to plant, and gave us 24 hours to approve the design, knowing we were going out of town for a month only 3 days later. And this is after having already waited 1 month with a completely barren yard. The design is less than impressive and so many second opinions we have gotten have been absolutely shocked at how much we were charged for such mediocre work.

Lawnboy services goes above and beyond every time. Not only is their work extremely detailed and precise, the staff is also extremely knowledgeable and take their time. Lawnboy services does it all from lawn maintenance to landscape design and installation. There truly is not a better company to do it all.

Front and back yard had become super over grown with weeds, grasses and massive bushes! David and his crew took care of me and did an amazing shop! Night and day for my backyard!

I used LawnBoy Lawn Services at the recommendation of Blue Mount Nursery, and I was very pleased with their communication and the quality of the work done! I will use this company again in the future. Highly recommended.

We have used LawnBoy Lawn services for years for the upkeep of our flower beds and this year we had them install a paver patio and sidewalk with landscape lighting, and had a French drain system installed which resolved a standing water issue in our backyard. They cleaned up the work site every day before leaving and left it looking clean and tidy. They did an outstanding job from the initial project plan; the people hired to complete each step; including their attitudes and work ethic; all the way through to completion; everyone was personable, responsible and capable. We have a phase II project that we are in the process of having quoted that will include the landscaping of our front yard and flower beds. We HIGHLY recommend Lawnboy for any landscaping or upkeep projects.

In the past three years the owner of LawnBoy Lawn Services has come alongside Best Services, LLC numerous times, giving back to the Loudoun County community providing his own time, staff, materials and equipment at no cost to the receiver. LawnBoy Lawn Services has assisted the elderly, disabled and those that have experienced a devastated loss in the family. Most recent personal experience was when our family dog passed away at 16 two months ago. I explained to the owner I was going to run out and pick up a small tree and plant it in memory. The owner offered to pick up the tree had his supervisor plant it in our backyard on a Saturday when temperatures were in the high 90's. It made a painful day turn into a peaceful day. The entire staff truly cares about the community and the customers.

I did not have a good experience and I took it up directly with the owner Dave Nichols. A nice guy but I saw the other review by Pamela and agree with some of her gripe. My plants|shrubs died after 1 week. They replaced some by check, and said they could not replace others due to "wild-life" eating them. I spent over $1200 on landscaping to not be happy. I had another reputable company come by and review, they told me I was overcharged and got very little. I could not and would not recommend this company, regrettably. They need a lot of work on their customer service interface. I will choose more wisely the next time. (SAN).
