Dan and his team of Casey & TJ were all-stars. They worked their butts off and I was able to surprise my Mom while she was gone with a new and upgraded fire pit. Can't say enough good things about Melena Landscaping and the crew.
Melena Landscaping address several projects at my home. They relocated a tree and some grasses from the front of my home to the backyard. They fixed a drainage problem in the front of my home and the created a beautiful bed in the backyard where they transplant the grasses and the tree from the front year. Their landscape architect designed the plan and showed me pictures of the plants she recommended. Dan’s team did an excellent job installing the plan.
We have trusted Melena Landscaping with multiple projects at our house over the last few years and couldn't be happier with the results! Between landscape design/installation and drainage solutions, Dan and his team have transformed our property into a completely different space for us to enjoy. He has always been professional, and punctual, and he takes the time to explain everything with excellent communication before, during, and after the job. Melena has been maintaining the lawn at our business for years and our lawn has looked A+. We recently hired Dan to renovate all of our landscaping and they did exceptional work. Dan met onsite on short notice and was able to quickly provide a design concept. In under two weeks we've gone from interest, to design, to completion. Most contractors initial response time is slower than that. Dan offered great plant selection, he was onsite with his crew frequently, and was responsive via e-mail/phone. His team grinds! They knocked out a project in days that would take me a decade. Highly recommend Melena.
I have trusted my landscaping to Melena for about 15 years. Their work is always exceptional. The owner takes a personal interest in the job. The crew is polite, quiet and very hardworking. If you are looking for something in particular that sets them apart, it is the edging. Nobody else does it like this (see first two pictures). Another picture just showing a different touch that they came up with. I will never need another landscaper as long as I have Melena.
We are so happy with the outstanding work done by Dan and his crew! They built a retaining wall around a bed in front of our house and replaced the builder-grade plants with new plants that are much more visually appealing. They also installed two trees in our front yard. The team was professional, efficient, and attentive to detail throughout the entire project. We will definitely use them again for our future landscaping needs. I highly recommend their services!
Melena Landscaping is top of class. Extraordinary attention to detail and deep experience resulted in a job that exceeded expectations. Casey and his team were polite, hard working and I’ll even say artists. Great ideas and advice that I would never have come up with! With other home services I’ve used, I quickly learn that I will have to supervise closely to ensure even a C- grade. Dan gets an A+ - no supervision needed! Not a grade I give easily!
We recently hired Melena Landscaping to fix a long-time drainage issue we had, and to landscape a very wide hill. We're THRILLED with the work they did. Dan pulled together an excellent design and was willing to make the changes we wanted. The project was done in 2 parts and both were done according to schedule and beautifully. The 2 teams of landscapers were awesome. Very professional, patient with our questions, and hard working. We couldn't be happier with this experience and the result. Our hill looks beautiful and I'm certain the project has increased our property value.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dan Melena. We used Dan for our extensive landscape project when our landscape architect recommended him to us. She said he was an A+ vendor and she was right! From the moment I met with Dan I knew he was the one for the job. He was friendly and approachable while also being professional. His pricing was competitive for the large scale job we wanted him to do. Dan was on site everyday to check on the project and check in with us. We were starting from scratch with a blank canvas so there were many components of the project he had to oversee. The first crew came in to install the drain tiles and work on a drainage system for the yard. Once that was complete the next crew moved in to install the landscape. Everyone on his team was courteous and hard working. They took great care of each step of the plan. Dan was always interested in whether or not we were happy with the work and was helpful with suggestions when we wanted to make a few changes. He recommended a tree service company for us to use to make sure the trees reach their full potential. He is not a one and done vendor. He is interested in maintaining relationships. We look forward to working on phase 2 of our project with him in the future.
We had Mike and his team do a whole hoast of projects beyond my limited skill set. The crew worked their tails off and did a fantastic job! We had 4 bids. Although Melenas was in the middle, the care he had for our yard and doing things the right way shone through. They cleaned up after themselves all 5 times they were here! Wed hire them again as the value received was outstanding!
Dan and his team transformed our front and back yard landscaping! Dan displayed a wealth of knowledge. He was the only landscaper who came out and actually drew out everything he was thinking to do during our consultation. My husband and I are very pleased with everything his team has done. I watched the guys working through my window and the craftsmanship and attention to detail was top notch! They built not just a landscaping wall, but truly a statement piece! I ve seen neighbors walking their dogs stop and admire the front of our house since Melena Landscaping transformed our yard. I can t thank the team enough for such a beautiful job they did. I would give them a 10/10 stars and recommend them to everyone who asks!

We just had Melena Landscaping remove and replace the landscaping in front of our house and repair all of the other beds around the house. Dan was quick to provide us a detailed plan and the cost was in line with what we were expecting. His team was very professional and kept our yard neat during the entire time they were working. The finished product is fantastic. We are looking forward to spring to see everything when it blooms. I would highly recommend Melena Landscaping if you are considering any landscaping projects.
This was the second time we have had them do landscaping work for us and it won t be the last. They removed 3 dead trees and over 10 stumps for a very reasonable price. They were on time, professional and did a great job. Dan came out the following day to make sure we were satisfied with the work, which we were, and to quote us on another clean up project. Highly recommend!
Melena has taken care of our yard for 8 years now. We have a huge yard with lots of trees surrounding. They are ALWAYS on time, very professional and their work is 100% on point every time. I will always recommend them!
Wow! We rarely write reviews but this time we made an exception. Melena Landscaping recently trimmed bushes, small tress, and cleaned up and redid the mulch beds. We have very high expectations when working with contractors and Melena greatly exceeded even our expectations. Everything was done as they described with even greater focus on detail than expected. Afterwards, the crew manager wanted us to review with him the work done to make sure everything was as expected. The following day, I received an email from the owner also checking to make sure we were completely happy with the job. We rarely recommend companies but the work they did justifies our highest recommendation. Although pricing was slightly higher than others, if you want the job done to near perfection and cost is not a major consideration, I would highly recommend Melena Landscaping. And for the skeptics like myself, no we are not related to, or friends with, anyone within the company; found them through Angie s list.
