They keep me updated as to what they will be doing with each application and provide great recommendations for my yard.

Great crews, consistent work quality, and timely. Will absolutely come everyweek and mow (even when its not really necessary due to dry weather or late season) so if you feel like your lawn needs to wait a week you just have to call ahead of time and ask them to skip. Theyre price is also definitely upper middle of the pack but I think the quality/auto pay is worth it.

I started using Heartland last year when I was looking for a full service lawn maintenance company. We needed our backyard over seeded and aerated due to having bad grass infiltrating our backyard. I received 3 bids and two of the bids told me the only way to get rid of the bad grass was to kill it in the spring and reseed at that time. Heartland was the only one that said we can reseed in the fall and save the lawn instead of waiting until spring. I put all my trust in them and it worked. Our backyard is still looking green and lush. Im so happy I used them instead of going through the whole process of having to rebuild my lawn in the spring.

I saw the results as soon as I drove up the street. I cant believe I havent done this before. The results are amazing. I know it will be short lived but at least you got the bulk of the leaves off the property. I did a good inspection, and your people were very thorough getting under overhangs, removing leaves from the flower beds, off all the mulch, mowing the grass, trimming the edges and even getting the leaves out from between the deck and the hedges. Amazing job! I only have two regrets. My neighbors next door didnt use your service and the wind will blow again. Thanks so much. Ill be back next year.

Heartland was awesome with the late fall cleanup we needed. We were keeping up with our leaves and what not but then our mower had challenges, I made up excuses with my knees, etc. Although it was late in the season in December, I took a shot and contacted Heartland, they made a good offer and the work was accomplished within a week of contacting them. Since my wife (and probably neighbors) were frustrated with our leaves, I tried to pass it off as a Christmas gift surprise to her but that didnt go very far. We ve been using Heartland for two mowing seasons now. They are always here on the scheduled day and do a wonderful job. I wish they weren t quite so expensive, but it s been worth it since the company we had prior was totally unreliable. You get what you pay for. I also saw a remarkable reduction in the number of mosquito bites I received after we had Heartland treat our lawn. The previous year was our first with a dog and I got eaten alive every time I took him outside. After the mosquito treatment, I hardly got any bites. We ve been very pleased with their service. They were also very responsive to any email inquiries I had.

I recently had Heartland Turf do mulch services at my home and I am very pleased with the level of service and quality of the product they provided. I recommend Heartland Turf.

I have used multiple services from various organizations (mosquitos, bug barrier, lawn fertilization, house cleaning, house maintenance, gutter cleaning, etc.) Most organizations have a robust sales process; and for the most part, decent services. There are three deciding factors for the services I continue to use: 1) Do the economics and practicality make sense, 2) Is the service effective, and 3) Does the technician care about quality, as opposed to just blasting through the work as quickly as possible. Heartland does a great job with items 1 & 2. Luis (the technician) does a great job with item 3. Currently, I see no reason to stop using Heartland services any time soon, and would proudly recommend to others.

I was so excited to have a company mow our lawn, as we ve always done it ourselves. The first time they came, they left without communicating at all because they assumed they couldn t get in our backyard, even though we were home. I called multiple times and nobody ever answered. They finally responded by email and I gave them a second chance. They came the next week and did a great job. However, the 3rd week, they never showed up at all. There was no communication whatsoever. I called at least 4 times and emailed twice. I had even received confirmation earlier in the week that they d be to my house on Wednesday. I never received a response to my calls or emails. I finally emailed saying that unfortunately we would need to cancel our service with them if we could not count on consistent communication about delays or changes of dates. Instead of calling or emailing back to discuss the situation, I received an email saying, I have your services canceled as of today. Clearly they don t beee the business, which is unfortunate because I live in a large HOA community that could ve given them plenty of business. If you like communication, I d say look elsewhere even if their work is good. Not worth the headache!

Wow, we have used these guys for 3.5 years and not only have they destroyed the grass in our yard, they have also run over countless plants (blamed bunnies even though we have cameras) weed-whacked my Halloween lights and now the final straw is they weed-whacked the electrical connection on my custom Christmas pathway markers. I can t find replacements. If you want someone to come and just do the job, they are fine, but if you want them to be accountable and careful, find someone else who cares about their business.

Seriously, 5/5, we became a new customer in 2018 at the recommendation of a few neighbors. They started with killing off the lawn and starting fresh from the previous home owners lack of attention. We hired Heartland for the first time last fall for a Aeration/Verticut/Overseed and had a great experience. I like to do my own yard work, but after several years of not getting results, I put my ego aside and decided it was time to bring in reinforcements. The service is excellent, dependable, and very fairly priced. *Update* Now been with Heartland since June 2015 and service and results continue to be great. Theyve already put down the first round of fertilizer and pre-emergent for the 2017 and am sure Ill have a healthy, well maintained lawn again this year.

We recently moved into a new home (in the summer), and wanted to have our lawn professionally taken care of. Heartland was always timely and very accomodating. They are very quick to answer tickets for support or added services as well. We have a weird slope in our lawn where a pop up emitter is located, and it happened to be cracked by a lawn mower. Brett personally went to the house and inspected the lawn to see if it was the slope, the mower, or a combination. He then went to Menards and purchased two different types of covers to see if that would help. That alone was pretty amazing customer service, but he also noticed that even though our sprinkler system was winterized (by a separate company), the backflow preventer was still attached and could have frozen and cost us some money. Brett sent us an email with a video and picture instructions on how to remove the preventer and store it. A++

The service at Heartland Turf and Landscape was already exceptional, but I must say they certainly went above and beyond when my wife, whom was handling everything, recently passed away unexpectedly. I was, to say the least, completely overwhelmed by what had happened. I knew there were lawn services scheduled, but that they couldnt proceed because of the excessive amount of leaves still on the ground, and when I explained what had happened, they were extremely compassionate and more than helpful. They had someone out in a flash to clean up the leaves and finished the scheduled fertilizer program. And I cant thank Heather enough for being so helpful in getting a new account set up for me so I could take over. This company is the best Ive ever seen. I highly recommend them.

Heartland on its own dime did core sampling of our yard and determined we have a very high clay content. Weve been experimenting with Earth Rite, a local KC product, that Brett researched and we have seen improvement. Always responsive and always fair. Highly recommend Heartland!

I recently purchased a home in a heavily wooded area. Heartland Turf and Landscape has done a great job reviving my lawn over the past year. In addition, they recently used a verticutter on my property prior to over-seeding. A couple of my neighbors have commented the lawn has never looked better! I contacted Heartland after a poor experience with another major landscaping/yard care company in the area. Brett came right out and we walked through the issues I had with my lawn, and in particular, the damage caused by Brand X. Theyre great at pest control... had terrible chigger problem in our yard; they came out and sprayed and problem gone. Heartland has been easy to work with, thorough, efficient, and above all, caring and responsive to my questions or concerns. I usually get a return call from owner Brett Jackson, regardless of how innocuous my questions may be. Im very happy with Heartland and plan to stay with them indefinitely for all of my landscaping and yard care needs... highly recommend them!

We all have experienced the highs and lows of landscaping services. As I reflect back on my own experiences over the decades, the service was always spotty, got more and more expensive over time, and often lacked the professionalism that should have come with the services. We switched to Heartland a number of years ago; and, voila, the services were done on time -- very well done by the way -- and at a reasonable and fair cost. And we have been alerted to issues we needed to address in a similarly timely manner.It is all one can ask for. We have been impressed by everything Heartland has done for us. Heartland Turf has taken care of our lawn for the last two years. We recommended them to neighbors and began receiving a discount when a few of them signed up for service. The mowers are conscientious and do a thorough job. They always make sure to close the fences behind them, which is great so we dont have to worry about the dog getting out.
