Grass works did a great job. They made our yard look great.

Absolutely terrible. Scam-ish. The customer service is non-existent. You ask them to do a hourly service and the technician will sit on your back porch, on his phone, letting the leaf blower run for an hour but not really do any work. Please do not hire this company.

Don t waste your time or money with this SCAM of a company. They LITERY did NOTHING and charged a lot. I got cussed out on the phone for trying to get them to perform any of the services I paid for

Mow and blow only - so fast that they broke my full wall length window and wouldn t even discuss it. This seems to be a theme in other reviews. Of course breaking my $$$ window was unfortunate and they didn t want to pay for it, but their handling of my inquiry showed that they are not even aiming to keep business - they cycle through people because they likely get fired plenty especially with so much competition in this space. I didn t want to write this review as it was an accident, but I highly suggest you give your business to another company who cares more about people.

The crew that came to clean up the jungle growing in my backyard, did a fantastic job. Every weed and crab grass growing in my rock path was removed. I signed up for the regular maintenance sit never gets over grown again. Thank you Grass works!

Lawn was done, but way later than scheduled and any attempts to get them on time was blatantly disregarded. Fined by city because of their tardiness.

I signed up for total landscape care, but unfortunately, my lawns appearance deteriorated after each visit. It seems that they use dull mower blades, leading to a poor cut and more stress to the grass. Additionally, there was a noticeable lack of care in their work. I expected better attention to detail and a more professional service.

Im in the HOA property management business and deal with many contractors. Grass works has given me excellent service. I am most impressed that each person that has mowed, edged, trimmed plants, etc. seem to display knowledge of what they are doing and perform to my expectations. I would highly recommend this company!

Expensive but good.

Unfortunately, Grassworks seems more focused on speed of service rather than quality. Weve experienced a large number of issues with service quality we tolerated mostly for the convenience of not having to switch providers (e.g. leaf blowing mulch out of beds, damage to plants, landscaping lights disconnected/adjusted, strangely trimmed shrubs). In recent weeks, however, weve had newer plantings decimated. Plants were trampled and a large number of branches were snapped. Grassworks didnt raise the issue nor offer any resolution when we did.

I m the landscape volunteer for a very hilly, 25 year old Austin condo community (46 garden home style units) that has suffered damage to our mature landscape in the last few years of intense heat & cold winter storms. We have struggled with communication & employee turnover with our last 2 landscape companies & switched to Grassworks October 2023 (a year ago) & I can confidently say now that we enjoy doing business with Grassworks AND they provide a solid value maintenance, irrigation & landscape installation service with speed & minimum hassle, which is important to us. We love their monthly irrigation audit that catches problems in our aging irrigation system before the brown patches appear, too. From Alicia M in the office to our regular crew to manager Marc P and Jacob B (designer of some great new native plant & rock beds for us!), everyone at Grassworks has impressed us with a can-do, professional & upbeat attitude toward improving our maintenance & updating our landscape as our limited budget allows - their work is practical & beautiful, too! thank you, Grassworks!!

Grass Works Lawn Service started taking care of my property this week in Travisso and they did the best job of and care and landscaping of any company I ve used in Travis County in the past 20 years. You really should give them a try. - Donald W

I highly suggest you not use them. Several items were unacceptable. 1. I provided an irrigation plan from Rainbird and specific instructions and they could not provide a quote. Only a $90/hr rate with no details on how many people or estimated time. 2. I bought grass from them in addition to irrigation work. They repeatedly appeared to not understand the job and scheduled them on different days. 3. The morning of work, one guy was on site for 30min that spoke english. The rest of the day, zero english! I had to use text translators to get them to fix work and direct them. I had to be there to project manage!! 4. Although they had the irrigation plan, they hooked up a zone wrong. 5. They get you to docusign ahead of time and then charge you without any discussions. 6,7,8 theres more but you get the picture.

Use anyone else by grassworks. Dishonest, shoddy workmanship, horrible customer service. They killed a freshly planted live oak of ours by running over a house servicing said tree, which was setup on a timer while we were out of town. Lots of better options.

Grassworks has maintained our beds with native plants for three years and they do a great job of keeping weeds at bay. It s hard to find a crew that will actually pull weeds by the roots, but Grassworks takes the time to do it right! The crews are always responsive and polite.

Reliable and thorough. Worth the cost to never have to think about it or weed in the TX heat. Any special requests are accommodated.

I wanted to take a minute and acknowledge the great work I received this week from Grass Works Lawn Care. I reached out through their website and heard from someone within a day or so. Someone from their offices came on site to my home, walked my property and gave me a competitive quote. When it was time to have the services delivered, they showed up on time and worked non-stop all day. They are reasonably priced and do not use any chemicals or sprays on weeds and areas that need treatment. The end results were that my yard has great curb appeal now and looks great for the fall season. In closing, Ive used previous landscaping and yard clean up services in the past, and Grass Works has been the best by far. So if youre in the Central Texas area and looking for great yard service and clean up, I can tell you these folks are the best.

My crew is great. They faithfully maintain my grass and shrubs, deadhead my annual bloomers, and show up as agreed every time. They are not cheap, but after two seasons I can promise you they are worth it !! Pat Stilwell - North Austin. Tx.

Grass Works has been servicing my lawn for 3+ years. The lawn crew is courteous, fast and efficient. I receive compliments from neighbors about my beautiful yard. I see many other lawn services that leave grass clippings on the sidewalks and driveways or they blow the clippings to the street. Not Grass Works. They always clean up and carry leaves, branches and shrub clippings away. My lawn looks immaculate year-round.

The crew showed up on time, and all the work was done expertly and exactly as I asked. The area was nice and clean when they left. I highly recommend Grass Works Lawn Care!

After a long run of really inconsistent crummy companies I started using Grass Works Lawn Care. Ive used them for a few years now and though Ive tried a mow here or there with someone else Grass Works is always comparably priced and does an excellent job. On top of that, their customer service is EXCELLENT. They came out one week and I dunno what happened (LOL) but it looked like the lawnmower blade was crooked or something? My lawn was mowed by not cleanly and there were long strips in the yard where the grass was significantly and noticeably higher than the rest of the section. I emailed the customer service people at 8 PM (Yes, PM) to let them know. They had the mowers, with a supervisor looking person in tow, back out at the house at 7 AM (yes...less than 12 hours later) looking at the mowers and remowing my lawn. This...from a lawn care company... Practically unheard of! Note: They dont always make it to my house on my scheduled day which did throw me for a loop sometimes as Id see a charge but my lawn wasnt mowed. I asked their customer service about that and they said sometimes if they cant make all their houses on the assigned day they come out the next day and that has proven to be 100% true every time in my case. So, I dont even think anything of it anymore. Fortunately, I do not have dogs with free access to the yard to worry about so this isnt a thing for me. Not sure how that works if you do have dogs you need to put away but honestly Id just ask their customer service department for guidance and Im guessing they would help! Definitely recommend!

This is a first-rate yard firm. They do everything from installing new lawn to doing fall and spring yard clean-up. They also service irrigation systems on a regular basis as well as cutting the grass and spreading mulch. And they are nice!!

I checked my lawn today and it does not look like it has been mowed in a while... When did you last mow it and when are you going to mow it again? Also, when is the back area to be mowed. You contracted to mow the lawn portion of my yard twice a month and the back portion once a month. Your service came out and mowed my next door neighbor a few days ago and I thought they would mow mine too, but they did not. Bill Liles I was looking at the wrong calendar and I now see when you last came. Lawn looks ok for that time. Thanks.

I have been using them for a few months, and I am very impressed with their services. My yard looks great and I no longer have to worry about lawn work.

I signed up for every other week regular lawn service, they do that part great. What drives me crazy is the original quoted amount was $53,00. Now its up to $66.00, and no additional service provided. Still dont do landscape beds even though theyre just grass, weeds, and unwanted brush.

They do a great job even though we dont use this residence as a permanent home. Very little supervision needed.

I have been using Grass Works for over 5 years now without issues. They always do a great job and very efficient at getting done quickly. They are very good at sticking to a routine so you can always count on them to be there very predictably. Very nice to always be able to enjoy my yard instead of spending hours mowing it each week at a very reasonable cost.

Had sod installed at our new home in a pretty large backyard which took several days and it turned out amazing, I would use them again.

I m very pleased with Grass Works. They not only do a great job, but they are respectful and always pause the weed eating or edging when people are close by.

This feels like a pretty dishonest business practice: Send a quote, get it signed. Send another identical one, get it signed. A couple of days later send ANOTHER IDENTICAL quote but they are all the same so disregard. Then the day before service is scheduled send a final quote for SIX TIMES THE ORIGINAL AGREEMENT. Um, no.

Wonderful, showed up on the scheduled day and mowed my out of control yard with no problems, didnt need to talk to anyone or do anything except the online form. I emailed them before the service to make they knew the condition of the yards (bad, very high grass), and they said it was fine, and it was. Didnt try to sell me other services, didnt harass me with other calls/texts/emails to sell me more services like other companies did. Just did the service I asked for at a good price so now Ill get them again!

Here is my recent experience with Grass Works Lawn Care. Besides the bi-weekly lawn service that I received until this week, I had them check to see if my sprinklers were all working properly and had them make a couple of repairs. I proceed to have them remove and install a new 30 gallon tree. The tree had curled leaves upon installation, but I thought I would give it a couple of weeks to see how it responded. After the two weeks I had someone come out and they said I was overwatering it and that is why the leaves were hard and curled. Two more weeks have passed and the tree is completely dead. Grass Works Lawn Care solution is to give me a 10% discount on another $600 tree to replace the one that was not healthy when planted. Argh! Needless to say, Ive now switched service providers.

They mowed our yard the 1st time and it was the worst lawn cutting ever. Came out and remedied it. Then the 3rd time afterwards, they did the same thing. Aweful quality control. Service cancelled.

We just started using Grass Works Lawn Care to take care of our home flower beds. We were VERY pleased with our initial services. The crew treated the beds as if they were their own. Very professional and caring. We now feel very comfortable that our flower beds are going to get the best care possible.

A crew has been coming out on Thursdays every other week instead of on Wednesdays like we agreed on in our contract. Our zip code is also one of the areas where they say they will mow our lawn on Wednesdays. Further nail in the coffin was when I got home at 5 pm yesterday, a crew was out mowing my neighbor s lawn instead of mine! My neighbor came out and told them to stop mowing our lawn. I talked to one of the crew members in Spanish and asked if they re supposed to cut my lawn. They went back to their truck and checked the house number. Sure enough, it s my house that requested service. I don t know if it was a new crew or what, but arriving past business hours the day after their scheduled day, AND getting the wrong house, it s safe to say I cancelled their services.

These guys were amazing. They did a beautiful job with my landscape installation. They even put mulch down on some of the beds that werent part of the scope, they cut and manicured the front and back yards, which werent part of the scope either. To say that they went above and beyond is an understatement. I wont be using any other company but this one from here on.

Last week Grass Works was at my home to update my front and side flower beds. Three employees of Grass Works were at my home for about 10 hours. I wish I knew their names so I could commend them by name. They worked so hard and were very polite when I asked them to relocate certain plants. None of them spoke English but luckily I can, so communication was not a problem. I would recommend Grass Works for extensive landscaping work as well as weekly services, which Grass Works also does for me.

One of my family members had passed in July on 2023. The yard at her home had not been taken care of since that time. The yard was over grown with weeds and grass, the bushes out of control and lots of tree limbs down in the yard. To say the least, the front and back yard was terrible. Even the fire marshal sent us a letter. I hired grass works lawn care after getting 2 other quotes on the price of clean up. Grass works was the best. You would not know that this was the same house and yard. Grass works did a fantastic job. All the mess was taken care of a hauled away. Im really glad i chose this company. Great people to deal with. You would not be disappointed with Grass Work Lawn Care.

My front lawn was pure dirt and I hired Lawn Worksto put in new sod. LawnWorks quote was a third of what other companies quoted. They were also able to do the job more quickly than the competition. My lawn looks amazing now and I am thrilled!

DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO or your business!! They created more work for us than we had before they came. I asked for mowing and edging only. No blowing. First they were no show. Then the crew came (I asked for no blowing) and mow-mulched and blew all the leaf piles (nowhere near mowing spots) back into all the ground cover after I had spent days before that raking out the leaves. I emailed them (the only way to communicate)and they sent the same guys back with the blowers only, blowing more leaves into the ground cover before I could stop them. I asked the crew to leave. I emailed them again to stop service and they agreed not to charge me. Then they charged me.

Grass Works Lawn Care did a fantastic job with cleaning up my yard. Weeds were taken out, lawn mowed and edged. My flower beds were cleaned up, and new mulch and plants were planted. All the shrubs were trimmed. I m so happy I chose this company for cleanup and to continue to maintain my yard. The three workers that arrived this morning did a wonderful job.

I have had a very positive experience with GrassWorks. They have provided excellent service for both scheduled mowing and additional services such as mulching and installing dividers for garden beds.

This was my first experience having a landscaping company complete an installation for me and it exceeded all my expectations. The crew arrived early and got to work immediately and consulted me along the way to make sure everything was done to my liking. They even took the time to level and straighten the stone edging (that I had thought was level) and it looked so much better when it was done. Now we have a peaceful sitting area with a park bench under a tree surrounded by flower beds and a usable green space that had previously been nothing more than a mud pit that would never grow grass. I can t recommend Gras Works enough and will definitely be planning my next project with them in mind!

The people here are so friendly. I am about to have surgery, so the lawn had become very overgrown, and I came home not expecting much, but it was beautiful. Now, I dont have an outdoor faucet, so my grass is not green or pretty, but it looked wonderful. I could tell Grass Works had not rushed, they gave it amazing attention, and I could not be happier.

I recently switched my lawn care and maintenance to Grass Works. Back yard was installed with Zoysia which looks amazing so far. Also, my yard needed a major seasonal clean up. They were super quick to get someone out to quote both services in additionally to regular lawn care & maintenance with good clear communication. I decided to buy into their Total Landscaping Care ( TLC) which allowed me to discontinue services with 2 other providers. It s going to be nice to work just one company for all my lawn care needs. They provide everything in writing. Customer Service Team seems to always be available and willing to answer questions. I am looking forward to my new service.

We had team 1 come to do a lawn clean up. Our whole property was a complete mess before, and I could not believe how great it looked afterwards. Plus, they got it done so quickly! The sweetest thing is that they picked every single weed, but they left our one cute little bluebonnet. Highly recommend them!

The most honest review of them you ll read. We used them for bimonthly full yard service including trimming and removing trimmings and bagging leaves, blowing Hardacapes etc. -They don t have a number to call during the busy season. They only communicate through email. - As we started working with them I wanted to go over details like how long to leave the grass or when I was going to mulch. Impossible. - Our yard is 30% hardscape and multiple times I had to email asking them to come back and blow off the hardscape like our contract dictated. - They don t send the same crew every time so if you re looking for a personal touch, they aren t it. - Bi-Monthly means over December January they left our house unattended for over 4 weeks straight because both months had five weeks so they decided to come the first and third of December and the third and fifth of January. Our yard looked trashy throughout the holiday season. - But the worst thing they did was send a different crew then throughout the entire winter time in late January once we uncovered all of our plants that had been covered through the freeze. We even had rows of new bulbs that we kept alive through the winter. The random crew showed up, and pulled all of our bulbs (hundreds of dollars worth) because they hadn t seen them covered for the past month and a half. We asked for them to compensate us for them and they didn t even deem us worthy of a response. Grassworks is terrible at customer service for providing a service as their product.

Incredible customer service, professionalism, and responsiveness, which in past few years is like a unicorn. We have used Grass Works for the past few years in 2 different homes, both Steiner Ranch and in Lago Vista. Their Service is top notch ... they say what they do, and the do what they say. They arrive on time, and complete the work in a timely manner, including clean up. AND their office management is equally incredible responding to queries within hours, if not within minutes.

This was my first service and included tree service for storm damaged trees and the initial clean up before starting with their Total Lawn Care package. The team was on time, polite, and did great work. They went above and beyond by removing some shingles that fell from my roof and were in the backyard. The proce forbthe package is great. Looking forward to working with them

Grass Works did a great job on spring cleanup for my yard. They removed all weeds and disposed of all leaves (included in the service I selected). The yard looks so much better and they saved me a ton of time.

Great lawn maintenance. Professional af, a rarity in the industry. They also do more than your standard mow n blow too, namely cutbacks that can be a nuisance to busy homeowners.

Grass Works came out to clear up my yard to give us fresh start on the season, did an amazing job, looks like a new yard!

They refreshed a flower bed with mulch and added new rocks to two of our rock beds. Everything looks amazing! They did more than I expected with pruning plants and cleaning up the areas. Will use them again.

I asked for specific things regarding mowing my grass and everything was completed. My lawn looks great and my expectations were met.

I have been having problems with weeds and I expressed my concerns. On my next treatment, the crew did a very thorough job (actually getting on their hands and knees) to remove weeds. I also noticed how they made every effort to insure they covered the entire lawn area with weed/fertilizer treatment. I m confident I will see positive results from the above and beyond efforts of this crew.

They showed up when they said they would; they got started immediately; they asked questions rather than make assumptions; they watered everything before the left.

idk why i didnt use them before, but i got their info from one of my coworkers and they definitely exceeded all expectations! not that i had any doubt but my crew (forgot to ask their names) were absolutely fantastic and so quick! they left the house in the best condition it s been in a long time!

Grass Works Lawn Care did a fantastic job repurposing some older shrubs and adding new ones to create an amazing display of butterfly attracting and deer resistant flowers and shrubs in my 2 front gardens. The crew was happy, friendly and super easy to work with. They exceeded my expectations! I highly recommend them!

My rating is not for the lawn service; they do an amazing job and are professional, friendly, and punctual. Unfortunately, I can not say the same for their customer service, which means more to me than the service itself. My monthly contract started at $205 per month. After two months, they increased the price to $222 due to a gas surcharge they added to everyones account. At the time, fine; gas was expensive. But several months later when gas prices dropped, I took pictures of my fill-ups for about 4 weeks and attached them to an email requesting for them to remove the gas surcharge ($17). They refused. Fine! Ten months later my price jumps up to $237 out of the blue, no communication or notice to let me know why the increase. $222 per month for standard lawn care is already high in my book. But adding fuel surcharges and other unknown increases is just ridiculous. So I canceled my service via an email expressing my concerns and dissatisfaction with the pricing and lack of communication/notification. 28 minutes later I receive the following response: The service has been cancelled per your request. And the guy, Marc Phillips, had the nerve to end it with Thank you, Marc Phillips. The audacity on this guy. Thats it? Just like that? No care whatsoever for how loyal of a customer Ive been over the last year plus, including the neighbor I referred who started services with your company? UNACCEPTABLE. I reached out to my neighbor and they quit services weeks prior for the same reason. Stay away from this company. Horrible management. Outstanding workers on the ground and Mehgan Shorkey is awesome in the office (she helped coordinate a sprinkler head replacement that they accidentally broke). But this Marc guy... meh!

Very thorough gardening and mowing service. I use the Total Landscape Care service and they take care of EVERYTHING (hedges, lawn, fertilizing, leaf cleanup, mowing, edging, etc.). Its a bit on the pricey side, but the quality of the work is absolutely noticeable.

Our lawn was not in good shape but I hired Grassworks hoping they could help, and they did! The yard looks great now! They did a full service clean up, and maintain the yard weekly in the summer. They mow, manage the weeds and trim all of the bushes. The bushes are nice and round and trimmed just the way they should be. They maintain pulling the weeds and spraying for future weeds as well. The guys are very professional and definitely know what they are doing, very experienced. Thank you Grassworks! You ve made my yard look very nice now!

I spent 1325 on these guys coming out to fix my entire sprinkler system. It seems like they overlooked an entire zone. Terrible communication. Unfortunately I believe it will be best to find someone else to finish the job I hired them to do. Here s one of the sprinklers they seemed to have overlooked. Ripoff it would seem.

I don t know what I did to make these people treat me like this, but after several weeks of waiting to get on their schedule today was the big day of them mowing my yard. When I drove out to see the work they did I was freaked out. They mowed only two areas and left the rest. I still can t believe it. So far no call back. It s been a miserable experience. The owner will also post your personal information online when he does not like what you are telling him. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. They will send someone out to quote you for work you want done. That you thouroughly discuss with them, and then not complete that job. Then they will ignore your calls, and when they finally talk to you, theyll send you a new quote with $0. Making you think they are correcting their mistake, only to turn around and charge you $3500 and claim it s because of materials. These people operate in bad faith and lie. They are a scam.

My agreement states they ll mow, edge, and blow. Guy came out and took a weed eater to a single flower bed and they charged me full cost. Didn t mow, didn t edge the rest of the yard, just did one flower bed and I got charged full price. Go elsewhere.

I cannot say enough good things about Grassworks. We have had them do several seasonal yard cleanups, and they mow every two weeks. They always go over and above on the quality of their work. They are also very timely and reliable. In a time when good service is hard to find, Grassworks has exceeded my expectations exponentially. I highly recommend them.

Ask for estimate on my property for grass replacement, leaf removal, bamboo removal where needed, replacement plants in front of house such as holly fern, saga palms, shrubs and other plants. Ask that the worker call me before going out or when there. He DID NOT. Needed branches above canopy of Magnolia tree cut too that Hackberry tree is taking over. Instead worker made up his OWN job. Sent me estimate for cutting limbs of trees, cutting trees down to ground level without any description of what tree or trees. A JOKE. Not at all what I ask for. Because of this company I lost yesterday and half of today. Now need to start looking for someone qualified. Not happy.

I just want to give a big thanks to Grassworks for the care and kindness they show when taking care of our lawn. They were out earlier this week and worked around all of our Halloween decorations. They cleared the (dead :/) crickets from the front porch and I realized they even picked up a dog waste bag I was going to add to my trash on collection day. This wasn t the first time I noticed something above and beyond what I expected and I just wanted to say thank you! I highly recommend!!

Hired them for a standard mow. They arrived on the scheduled day and got it done.

Before I say anything else, the yard looks amazing. We had them out to pull out 2 shrubs, one rather large, and they also did the yardwork, including mowing, edging, picking weeds, adding mulch, and taking away all the leaves and refuse. I keep looking out my window to admire the work! The only downside is the difficulty of communication. A man came out to look at what needed to be done, and a quote was sent shortly after. The quote mentioned removing the two shrubs, but not the yardwork. I approved the estimate, as I mostly just needed the shrubs removed anyway. A date is set. The day of, they get to the house, and I realize that nobody speaks English, so we used Google translate to confirm what needed to be done, which was shrub removal, and showed them which ones. In the meantime, the rest of the crew get started on the basic lawn work - cool, thats also getting done! Then I get a phone call from the company - I didnt approve a shrub removal, just lawn care. I look at the quote again, and it says in big text: PLANT TEAR OUT. I sent her a picture. She disagrees and says that two estimates went out and I only approved the lawn care. I eventually find the other quote in my spam folder (?) and it still says shrub removal, but only one shrub in this estimate. I am so confused, the woman on the phone is insistent I didnt sign the right form, but that she can send another one to confirm the plant removal. Okay, fine, as long as it gets done, I can admit I messed up. The guys finish up and leave - the shrubs are still there. I decide Ill just call again the next day. I call in the morning and leave a message. An hour later, the crew shows up again, no warning aside from the doorbell. The company calls me back a few minutes later to return my call, and I tell them the crew is already there. They remove the shrubs, do a great job and leave. The quality of the work is amazing, but I dont know if Ill hire again after they seemed to struggle to communicate with me. It was a good thing I was home when they came back - they never told me they would come back the next day. I was never told when they would arrive on the first day either, so I just had to be home until they got there.

A professional service from beginning to end. I highly recommend their landscape maintenance on a professional level considering their high standards and attention to detail. The service was punctual and performed in a considerate and timely manner. They are knowledgeable about the project and the execution. I manage the landscape for a luxury hotel resort, and the work performed exceeded my expectations. I have seen the same job done by many other companies and the result could not come close to the work that they completed. Alicia, Brandon, and Marc were very helpful. The crew was exceptional.

Waiting for resolution: After damaging my property I was asked to meet a foreman on the property. I took time off of work to do so. He acknowledged the damage, but the email I received denied all responsibility. They asked for evidence. I provided photos, which clearly documented plants, shrub and tree that had been removed, as well as significant amounts of decomposed granite. They then requested my supposed video evidence . I provided numerous video clips, which indisputably shows them removing the plants. They have yet to respond to emails and calls since I provided video evidence and have instead blocked my number.

We have used Grassworks for our lawn care for over 2 years since relocating to Texas from Virginia. We moved into a new home and added an extended porch, hot tub with cement base and a lovely c pergola. The builder accidently damaged some of the underground water lines that fed our backyard irrigation system. The quickly came, accessed the problem, gave us a quote and the work was done to repair and reconnect the system the following week. So, we have been pleased with the basic grass cutting as well as their work to repair our backyard irrigation system.

I used Grass Works at my Round Rock house for about a year. When making a move to Georgetown, I reached out to find out about switching my service to my new place. Grass Works took care of everything. They made it so easy to make the transition, when so many other aspects of the move were not so easy. Their final mow at my old house ensured the new owners would be proud to call the house home. I look forward to having that same kind of care at my new house.

After 4 years of consistently declining quality of service i have finally done what i should have done a long time ago and terminated the service. If you want lush and vibrant plant beds, know that their approach to growth management is to systematically cut flower producing plants down to a stub every year, going against multiple written requests not to do so. This ignorant approach is for willfully indifferent clients only. If you wish to invest fruitfully in your yard, avoid them or it will cost you and you will be systematically deprived of the bounty nature yearns to bless you with.

The offered services are extensive and the work is top shelf. Nothing is done without approval and no corners are cut. If you want inexpensive lawn care this company might not be your best choice. If you want your yard done right every time, give these folks a call. I highly recommend them.

Had them do a spring cleanup,(remove dead plants, Turn over Mulch etc..) and wow. The value for this service was insane, our yard looks brand new. So happy with this company.

Ive gone through a number of services. Not only is the work they do quality, they are responsive and have an automated payment system. No need to venmo, which is really big for me. Additionally, they have options for landscape clean up in addition to lawn maintenance.

Alyssa the office manager power trips and refuses to escalate to owner. Update: The company was provided my real name and email address, and they failed to provide a quote. Look them up on Better Business Bureau. This office manager shows a pattern of incompetence, and the owner is unaccountable. Glad I dodged a bullet.

Sorry to say that we didnt have a good experience. They came out once to do some maintenance on a good amount of leaves we had built up before they could start a regular mowing schedule. They came out once to mow, the next day and then we didnt see them again....for weeks. And when I tried to inquire they were pretty much dismissive, no real answer, no apology for missing our scheduled date, no offering to come out ASAP to get the job done. So I just asked to cancel the contract and they responded quicker than ever to oblige my request.

When I called for service I very clearly expressed my budget and needs. I was giving a quote by a professional and friendly individual. The estimate was within my budget and met my needs. The lawn service appointment was delayed due to rain but I wasn t notified. Then they showed up late on the rescheduled next day. After the lawn service was completed, I received an email from someone different stating that I was given the incorrect quote and my price would increase (for the service they already did!). It is unethical and illegal to change the price of service after the service has been quoted, signed and performed. Then they agreed to honor the price for the one time and charged tax (which they didn t tell me). I immediately cancelled the service agreement.

Good service. Not great. They re consistent and do a good enough job. They don t treat the weed areas with anything so weeds come back before their next scheduled service. They miss some spots where there are weeds at time.

Communication was less than acceptable. had a communication on 04.07.22 I have your services scheduled for April 19th and April 20th. Not a single word of communication call/text/email until my dogs were going ape stuff when they showed on my lawn on exactly the date they said. Finished product was/is amazing. Id work with them again, but man....... a little heads up on some stuff would be cool.

When I called to let them know, they didn t believe me and I had to send a picture to prove that they did not mow my lawn. On top of that, they are saying they don t have anyone that can come mow today. Completely unacceptable as the location I have them mowing is a vacation rental. When I initially asked for lawn service on Friday, Jessica informed me I would get the agreement that day and someone would be out Monday... I never received the agreement. I waited until Monday then called them again in the morning and she apologized for not sending the agreement on Friday. She sent the agreement on Monday and assured me that someone was still available to come out that day. I signed the agreement asap and nobody came out that day... It wasnt until Wednesday that someone completed our lawn mowing. Not very professional.

The Grass Works Team did a great job for me. My job was larger in scope than most for mowing (13 acres) and it was no problem for them. They showed up on the day and time discussed and the job Forman went over the project with me to make sure I received what I had requested. I would recommend and use them again in the future!

In our small gated community, landscaping services are provided through our HOA dues. When it was time for us to change landscaping companies, we chose to hire Grass Works. Marc Sullivan promised they would bring our properties up to their professional standards on their first visit, and they didnt disappoint! The crews arrived as scheduled and proceeded to mow, bag the clippings, edge, remove debris from hard surfaces, and trim the overgrown shrubs around the utility boxes. They were very friendly and efficient, and we were so impressed with the improvements made to our community. HORRIBLE SERVICE EVER I HAD! If there was zero star option I could give them. They came and didn t do their job nicely! When I check my backyard I said I am not satisfied with your service. Avoid at all costs! We had sod quoted on our yard and moved forward with installation. On installation day, I was home and said hi and walked past the workers on my way in and out several times until I had to leave at end of day. I was never approached in regards to them not having enough sod, instead they chose to install in patches on each of the three sections of our yard, but oddly enough chose not to begin with the most visible areas. Then somehow there were leftovers which they threw into the dropoff in our backyard. We contacted them multiple times after and the person who quoted came back out and admitted they did not do what was quoted. They refuse to fix. Horrible experience.

This was a pretty terrible experience and value that I do not recommend to others. We had asked for them to come out and complete 4 basic tasks: collect leaves, trim 1 single bush, mow/edge a small yard (I complete this on my own in 90 minutes), and remove tree branches downed by the winter storm. Upon arrival the team did not communicate with us at all, they didnt ask for anything they needed to add or subtract from the order or say how long they would be there (fine in theory except then they added things to the work order). The team came out and started by trimming a tree that was not on our list to complete. When we called the office to get an answer for why they were doing this it took 3 hours to get a response. We were then told the foreman said he was told by someone on site to add tree trimming to the to-do list. This was a blatant lie and the company should be ashamed for even suggesting that when its so easily disproven. Thankfully when we finally got through to someone in the office they at least managed to remove the cost of them trimming our tree. Ultimately they still took 2.5 hours for a three man crew (billed at $175/hour) to mow/edge the yard, remove leaves, and trim 1 single bush. They didnt even remove the branches that were on the ground. The $500 bill for work others have charged 1/3 as much for is bad enough, but lying to my face and failing to complete the work is what really puts this company in an F-tier.

My bid was for a three man crew and only two showed up to do the job - have not seen my bill to see what discount adjustments will be made to the hourly rate that was quoted.

Seems like a pattern for the people in charge to try to find an angle to take more from customers and deliver less than promised all while trying to talk you into thinking its your own fault for not listening properly or not reading their documents carefully enough.

The guys from Grassworks went above and beyond to get my sod installation done right. They person who bid the job underestimated the amount of work required to make my yard look good and the initial result was unsatisfactory. The foreman called his boss and they worked several more hours to make sure I was satisfied with their work. Best of all, they did not charge me for the additional time, so I gave the crew a generous tip. Several days later, a friend said he needed help with a landscape project and I confidently recommended Grassworks.

I set up an appointment for Grass Works Lawn Care to come out to my property for sod/install quote. I gave them my address and they agreed to come out during the morning-time. They even sent me an email reminding me of my morning appointment. Well I ended up waiting until 2pm before calling to see where they were at. Apparently Grass Works Lawn Care services Liberty Hill, but not the Liberty Hill that my subdivision is in. What??? I would have understood if: 1) They told me upfront that they don t service all of Liberty Hill. 2) They would have typed my address into a GPS app before scheduling my appointment especially if they know they don t service all of Liberty Hill. Hello??? 3) They would have had the courtesy to call me to let me know that no one would be coming to give me a quote. Complete waste of my time.

Do not use this company! We used to work with them and they would come and clean up our yard (which is mostly a parking lot) for $150 per hour. And they charged us $150 because its a small yard and they didnt need more than that one hour. The next time all of a sudden we got an invoice for $500 and when we asked for an explanation they said that this time they had to spend more time (which is not true, the yard was waaaay cleaner than the previous time), and they sprayed the yard and then they also said they raised their pricing. When we tried to explain how the proposal and the invoice were very confusing etc they just responded with an email that sounded like Its what it is. EDITED: After I posted this review they resent me an estimate that was approved by my husband and it says TOTAL: $150 but the final invoice was $470 lol

Negative. I booked a clean up crew. When they hadnt arrived as scheduled I called the office to be told they would contact the crew foreman and let me know the ETA. Nothing. On calling back, I was told I would get a courtesy call when they were on the way but she was not sure when. I asked to speak to the owner as unfortunately this is not the first dropped ball with their company. I was told He doesnt come into the office and he doesnt speak to customers.... This team will rip you off. They quote you and send you DocuSigns without any details hoping you wont check. I had them quote out 2 properties two different times. The first time the estimates came back extremely high for the initial cleanup. They tried to obscure it by giving it to me in multiple estimates. When I asked them for details as to what would be done they were vague and didnt provide any. This didnt give me a good sense they were being honest So I had another team come out and do MORE work including cutting down trees and other things they had not included for 1200 This was a standard landscaping company...so the prices was almost a third THEN. I had them come back out hoping to get the regular service and they gave me a HIGHER quote. How can this be? The only way is they really are just thumbing the wind in the quote and seeing how much money they can get out of you to start their service. There is no rhyme or reason to their quoting. DO NOT TRUST them

If you use this company you had better check your bank account regularly because they will charge you without rendering any service whatsoever, customer service is severely lacking

I hired Grass Works for initial clean up of my lawn ($135 per hour). My hedges were left uneven, only the front of them were trimmed and the front of the bed was raked of leaves. The back of the hedges were not cut back from the window, leaves were not raked behind the hedges, leaves not removed underneath corner hedge and lots of grass clippings and sticks left in yard. This is not what I expected from a 4-man professional crew who does this type of work on a daily basis. I emailed the owner to request that they complete the job. I was not impressed with this company at all.

The visit to our yard was well organized and generally professional in its execution. The weeds in the flower beds were cleared, the lawn mowed and the edging job was excellent. We were were satisfied with the clipping of the hedges. They were shaped and trimmed well. However, I was unable to give the job a perfect score. We specifically asked for the removal of a poison ivy infestation and this was not done to our satisfaction. The poison vines were pulled and generally cleared but my husband was again burned when he went out to inspect the work after it was finished. This one fact was a major disappointment.

The irrigation pipe was cut accidently while digging a hole. I had contract with this company to mow my yard bi-monthly, I reached out for an estimate on repairing a cut pipe. They send me DocuSign for an open order to repair the irrigation pipe with a minimum $90 per hour labor work excluding the parts. The technician spend literally no more then 30 minutes on making the cut bigger and adding a PVC pipe with liquid glue. He didnt had to find the leak or dig a hole, this was already done for him. He ran a test on that sprinkler area. I asked for a quote to fix/repair any issues with my sprinkler system. This company charged me $292.28 for this work. After multiple emails demanding an explanation on the charges of the parts they replied with The cost of parts is based on current market conditions for supplies needed to perform the job, we use only commercial grade parts when we do repairs on the system coming from irrigation suppliers and not local hardware stores. Basically, this company charges for a 5 pipe and some liquid glue $202.28... This company is fraudulent, I will be submitting a claim to the BBB and please be careful if you hire them, they are not trustworthy. I wish I could give them a ZERO star.

First off, they were not going to be able to schedule our service until 2 weeks from now and we are getting realtor photography for our home sale next week. When I called to cancel the service, they went out of their way to get us scheduled for today!!! We had a small communication glitch in the service requested, but they came back and added it on at no charge. The crew did WAY more than we had expected and made our back yard look so fantastic and Sell Ready! Money WELL spent!!! Looks so good, we almost dont want to sell now! ;)

The gardners are good at mowing, hedging and blowing the loose lawn. However, I had pulled a few large weeds and forgot to place them on the curb. The gardeners just mowed around them they didnt bother to toss them on the curb or anything so strange.

We hired Grass Works to install a new sprinkler system after our was demod during our pool build. We thought we were paying for an entire new system, I walked the initial estimator around our entire property, front and backyard, showing him all of the areas we wanted covered. We signed the paperwork, the technicians come out for install, i walk them around the entire property again, then they go an install only the backyard and inform me that the front yard wasnt part of the estimate and would be an additional expense. Then 2 months later, we discover a large leak. Apparently instead of installing a brand new system, they tied into the old broken system, and now are saying they will have to charge us an additional fee to fix the line they tied into. Absolutely do not recommend and would leave zero stars if possible.

There they are hoggin up the whole gas station again (cefco on Parmer)

We have Grass Works for all of our yard care needs. We have their TLC package that includes everything that is needed to keep your yard looking great. And ours does always look great. We pay about $300 a month for this service though...which is pretty steep for most. We also had them do our landscaping after a pool install. It was irrigation repair/installation + sod, some flower beds and 2 trees. The cost came in at a little under $11,000 and was about $1500 higher than our other bids...but since we already had service through them and we like their administrators that coordinate service we decided to stay with them. Overall they did a great job. We had to ask that they come back out for a few missed items and I am not extremely satisfied with the trees that they put in - they are unkept - scrawny looking things. They were always on time and the workers very nice. Alicia at the office is nice and accommodating as well. They also were able to appease my husband with his many requests so I gave them 5 stars.

We hired them to replace sod in our front yard. They arrived on the day expected, did the prep of the soil and laid healthy sod. We paid a small bit more to have them check the sprinklers and glad we did. The new sod has been down for 6 weeks now and it is doing very well. No concerns at all. Highly recommend!

They are predictable on timing, always close the gates and do a great job.

Great office staff, great owner and great crews. Grass Works has been mowing, edging and cleaning up my yard for a little over 10 years. They do great, timely work, and are very good about taking care to meet my preferences. The few times in all these years that something needed correcting, the office had the crew back out within a day.

When I bought my house in Austin, I lived out of state for the first six months. I contacted Grass Works Lawn care to take care of the lawn in my absence. They did an outstanding job - so much so that I didnt need to worry about anything. Im 4 years into using them for basic maintenance and also anything additional needed in the yard. They are responsive, timely, and professional. Highly recommend!

Weve been using Grass Works Lawn Care for the past 6 months and their team does a wonderful job! The work is done well and their staff take care to ensure the back fence is always closed (we have dogs). Their service is responsive and helpful. Plus they send invoices after each service so we can readily track the work and the costs. They have been wonderful to work with!

They went above and beyond my expectations and looking to work with them again in the future with further lawn care. I work with Alex, Alicia, and Inocente. All of them were wonderful to work with and kept me well informed. Highly suggest

They re doing a very good job

I have really enjoyed working with Grass Works for all the things they do. The only downside would be the weed control. Each year we contact them about the weeds, and they cant seem to get ours under control. We had another service, where that was all they did, and our lawn looked great. May need to check back in with them and see if it make sense to add them back.

They provided us with fast service and have a good work ethic. We will surely use their services again in future needs. The side of our house with all the bushes look very beautiful and taken care of. Thank you again for your service and time. We appreciate you guys. My parents and I are highly pleased with the amazing job these guys did.

I used this company for total lawn care and bought a very expensive Yucca plant and had it for two months when one week while trimming, they deciding to cut all 5 fully grown stalks off and said that it was a part of their trimming protocol. Unfortunately I did not agree with this and tried to get them to replace the plant and they would not. They said that when all of the seeds drop, they completely remove all the stalks. Well, I have images of the act being done and the stalks that was caught on my ring where it showed that there was still seeds on them and even showed it to the company in an email. They still refused to do anything about this and said that moving forward I could just request to not have them trim the plant. Ridiculous. For one, who knows how long or when the stalks will grow back and become fully developed. They are known for taking years to grow I m very disappointed and would not recommend this company since they were willing to just lose a customer who was paying their highest service available rather than make things right

Would have been helpful if someone on the crew spoke English.

I have had Grass Works maintain my lawn since they started their business and I have been extremely impressed by what a great job they have always done for us. They are always on time, consistently thorough, and deliver above and beyond my expectations. I have always been impressed at the way they have grown and maintained a very reputable business.

Intially the services were very nice, we were quite impressed, as time passed we see a lot of weeds in the garden and also in the flower beds. we have full maintenance plan. they suppose to trim the brushes and other flowering beds atleast once a month, they dont do it. we are very disappointed now.

We contacted the company first thing in the morning and had a technician here by lunch time. While I am extremely grateful for their punctuality and work they performed, I was disappointed by their lack of communication with pricing and repairs. I did not find out the cost of my repair until the following day after they had already processed the payment. When I inquired about the bill and why I wasnt informed of the price of the repair beforehand, I was told anything under 2 hours did not need a consent. I would refer them in the future but would advise to read all of their documents very carefully and request to have the repairs approved before the work is done.

We tried them once and only paid for basic service and that turned out to be quite basic. They were here for less than twenty minutes, left a lot of debris and told us wed need to pay extra for that. (to be very fair, we have large pecan trees that throw out a lot of debris in the back) We checked the security vids and saw the guy walk right over small pieces of bark, while blow everything else into the grass from the patio. Clippings and debris were left on the grass. They refused to pick up bark and twigs without going to another price level. On the other hand, the management was cordial and good with communications. They were clear on their pricing. I was a little put off by them using Docusign for almost every transaction. Perhaps thats a thing?

After our very first service, I can already tell how pleased we re going to be with Grass Works. They did great work and our new lawn is already looking amazing!

Just moved into a new home that had not had lawn service in at least two months . The team did a great job mowing and edging and manicuring all shrubs and tree clean up . They also weeded and re-layed all the rocks . We would definitely use them again ! They were courteous, on time , and cleaned up all debris ..

I called and asked that they come take all these leaves away before the weekend, then they did that for less than $300 on a quarter acre after I blew my roof off (which hadnt happened in eight months). Perfect! Wifes happy, Im happy, yards happy.

We recently purchased a large lot in Central Austin. Once the house was demolished, we hired Grass Works to do a complete yard makeover. They removed bushes (and their roots), trimmed small trees, mowed the grass and removed all debris remaining from house demo. The team was here for about 8 hours - and it looks fantastic! I always use Grass Works for any yard work and always recommend to neighbors.
