The office staff are the worst

The techs and costumer service are amazing!! They do such a good job anytime they come do services at my home. They really pay attention to details and make sure to do it right and the costumer service is always so helpful anytime I call and that says a lot! You can tell this company cares about their costumers .

**Just to clarify, I contacted you for service wondering when you would be out. I called April 8th and was told first week of May. I called May 6th as I had heard nothing. Was told you would be out May 10th. Received a call May 7th, stating you would be out Monday, May 10th. I was the one doing the phone calls so please dont insinuate you called me and I never responded. Would be more than happy to share a call log from my cell carrier. It will show exactly what I have stated. Never once did you reach out to me. And, if you couldnt spray on the Monday, May 10th, why couldnt someone call and say we cant treat today, lets reschedule? I called the next morning and cancelled. By the way, most businesses would respond to a negative review with something such as... so sorry this happened, what could we do to make things better but instead, I get attitude and lies.** Had used their services for approx 2 years. I have a Sycamore tree that has been a bit of a challenge. Early last summer tree had the dreaded aphids. Called for treatment. They were prompt and sprayed. Mind you my tree is large and there was no way they could have reached the entire tree. Okay, they did their best. End of June I noticed some kind of bug had been snacking on the leaves. Called and Jerry came out. He was puzzled, said he would investigate and would be back at the end of the week as they would have to mix something together. No show, no call. Came in the fall to inject the tree with some kind of fungicide (not sure what it was). Sycamores have very hard wood and he was having a hard time getting the stuff into the tree so doubtful much got in. Jerry told me, it is critical we spray your tree late spring before the leaves open, so still in bud, for best treatment. I watch the tree and call the first part of April and was told on the schedule for first week of May. Our crazy weather caused the tree to bud out earlier. Called May 6th, wondering when they would be out. Oh, you are on the schedule for May 10th. May 10th came and went and no show, no phone call. Harmon & Sons is not reliable. Once again, on a hunt for a decent, reliable company. My tree is pretty sick with the Anthracnose again. Apparently their lack of sufficient treatment last fall and lack of treatment this year has created the challenge once again. Shop around. There are other arborists who actually show up. Different company just came out and said your tree looks pretty bad but in 2 years, it should look better.

Patrick was terrific, very thorough, knowledgeable, and honest. I HIGHLY recommend this family owned business for pest control!

They sprayed our trees, they were very professional, very thorough, they inspected the trees before they recommended the treatment and a very good value for the service. We ve used other tree arborist companies before and this company has been the best!

I ve always been impressed about how they care about my lawn, it always looks green but, with the ongoing drought that we are experiencing this summer, I might have to suspend my service until we get ample moisture.

I was having a huge problem with spurge in my lawn. I called Harmons to let them know. They were great to send someone out within 3 days. The technician did a thorough job and lots of the spurge died. Within a week, however, I was noticing some spurge. My regularly scheduled appointment was on July 22 and a technician called me on the 21st to let me know he was coming the next day. At that time I told him that I needed him to pay special attention to the spurge. He came as promised, but I am not convinced that he paid special attention to the spurge as it is thriving!!

Ive had a few conversations on the phone and in person. Professional interaction and conduct. They took the time to determine that I had a sod webworm problem on the phone with a few pics and made me feel like I was their only customer. They showed up on the day and time that they said they would. I live 45 minutes North of Layton and had a very hard time getting a call back from anyone else. Nate was the applicator and was top notch. I will be using them again.

They were so helpful. They worked us in, as well as giving us lawn advice! We have had them before and are glad to be back with them.

Harmon & Sons is the best lawn treatment company Ive ever used in 20 years of trying to find the right one. My lawn is always the envy of the neighborhood, (full, green & healthy) like walking on green fluffy carpet. Im sure super pleased and would recommend to anyone that wants a beautiful lawn & curb appeal to use Harmon & Sons!!!

Harmon & Sons has done a great job fertilizing and treating my lawn the last couple of seasons. My lawn looks great, even considering some effects of the drought. It definitely makes a big difference in the look and health of my lawn. I will be using them again and again.

I have only had one complaint with Harmon and Sons in 5 plus years, killed some of my lawn last spring, but immediately came over to access the problem, couldn t identify what happened, but at least they came over to help. I replanted this fall and grass has started to come back. I will probably use the again next year as I am happy with the way my yard looks, best on the block

They are a great company. We have used them for years. We haven t had a dandelion in our yard or a spider in our house since we started using them. We had them come treat for voles when we found one of those.

Guaranteed services mean someone will do the job until it s finished. Complaining when someone asks for a guarantee to be fulfilled is the sign of unprofessional business owners you d be better off avoiding. Pest control is pretty simple: buy a sprayer at Home Depot, order pesticide on Amazon, take 15 min. on Saturday to spray around problem areas. Save yourself time arguing over services you can easily do yourself. I m unsure why pesticide companies consistently ignore cancellations, resist feedback requiring re-servicing due to deficient results, and fight people simply trying to get their money s worth. Personally I d feel ashamed to promise to do something, then fail to do so and still demand payment. Dishonesty, greed and anger always have consequences, it s better to just do what you say you ll do.

We have used Harmon and Sons for a few years, during which nothing but problems. They kept giving reasons as to why the service was poor. Things like; theyre new employees (which happened a lot), sorry we were so late the last job took longer than we thought. Other times, they just didnt show up and we would have to call. They would omit our house on their route for aeration, we would call, and they said; well, we have to them all at once because we rest the machine and loading and uploading is difficult. We will have to get you next time. Seriously!? I pay you for lawn treatments and you cant even do your job? Today; was spraying for ants outside only (usually we would have pest control inside and out, but due to the pandemic, I am high risk as I have no immune system, we told them outside only to avoid contact). We have cameras all around the property that crisscross so we pick up everything. Keny was the tech that came out. He sprayed very little, didnt do the job we pay them for. He spent more time on the bill than actual spraying. He was out there working for 2 minutes. NOT exaggerating! So, we called the company explained everything They said they had left him specific instructions and notes on the order (There are a few problem areas that we needed specifically done). They said they would send Keny back out, he will knock on the door and we could show him the spots we have trouble with. Over an hour later he comes back, doesnt knock on the door, but we have cameras, so saw him. Go outside to speak with him and show him the couple of spots. He then starts to yell, point at places he claims to have done (remember the cameras?) and states he will not do more. Tried telling him what the lady said that we had spoken to and tried to show him the small areas needing treatment. He started getting louder and said it wasnt what he was trained to do, and he wasnt going to spray everything. He said if we have ants thats our problem. Hello; thats why we hired a professional company to control. We had to tell him to leave the property (trying to give enough info here without too long, but people deserve details). After he left we called the company. This time the manager, Patrick was his name I believe. (Remember; I just got yelled at, pointed at and dealt with a biligerant employee, so Im very upset.) I tried telling him about the event. He stated; he had spoken to Keny and he of course had a different story, and I could tell by his tone and the things he said, that my side would mean nothing. He stated I was being rude to him, and I apologized and stated I was upset and not trying to take it out on him, but instead was trying to relay the events. Anyone who has been yelled at, pointed at, and embarrassed in front of the neighborhood would have the same reaction. Not once did he apologize for his employee, or the lack of service we received both times. Instead he turned the blame at us, the customer (That has visual and vocal evidence of the whole thing!!!) In the end; we discontinued our services and the manager didnt even care. Im glad they have so much money they can afford to throw away customers. At least now we wont have to deal with the missed appointments, the no call no shows, all the new employees, excuses and inflated prices! Beware if you decide to try their services.

Friendly service and lawn looks better after first treatment!

Our lawn looks better than ever and the service is great. The lawn care workers are always very friendly and do a great job. This is our second year with them and we get compliments on our lawn often now.

The young man who came to my home was super nice and took time to really explain things to me.

I just recently started using Harmon and Sons lawn care. The two times theyve serviced my yard, their technicians were professional and on time. I had them aerate my lawn and they accidentally busted a sprinkler head. After notifying them, they called back and quickly scheduled Travis with Woodward Landscape LLC. to come out and fix the issue. I highly recommend Harmon and Sons!

I previously gave this company a 5 star review for their arborists treatment of my trees (left below) however, I am revising it to a 1 due to their business practices. I shall now explain. Two seasons ago they performed a service I didnt want anymore after I had called to cancel it (insecticide spray). I called and explained the situation and cancelled it a second time. Additionally I added notes to my account that they must get my verbal permission before coming out to perform services. The next service cycle they called several times and I didnt return their call within a few days as I didnt wish my other tree services at that time, and I was too busy to call back that week. They sent the police to my home to check on me!!! While Im sure it was well intended...this is over the line, what business is that involved in 1 customers account/personal life?! I spoke with the manager and explained it was not acceptable for a business to behave this way and reiterateted I no longer wished insecticide spray, automatic visits, or my card charged automatically. They must call and get my verbal consent and confirmation of services prior to coming out. He left me believing this was understood, we would continue our business relationship but they would get verbal confirmation prior to each visit. This week they again came out without my verbal permission, performed the bug spray I have asked to have removed from my account 3 times, and automatically charged my card!!! In addition, one of the services I had planned to continue stains the base of my trees for at least a week each time (even those in direct sprinkler paths). This time, a day later (I didnt notice the invoice left at the supposed time of service yesterday) there is no discoloration, no muddy footprints in the dirt in my yard, and a lock on my gate...Im not convinced they even performed the service they charged me for! If you look at my profile youll see I have never previously left a negative review, but I am at my whits end with this company. What do I have to do to get them to understand they cant continue to simply show up, perform whatever services they wish, and charge my card?! If they paid attention to notes in my account, or my conversation with the manager had actually ment something I never would have felt the need to bring this issue public! (Orginal review) Several years ago my willow tree (one of the main reasons I bought my house!) Turned yellow and loose all its leaves mid summer. I panicked and called several companies to come look at it. These guys were the only ones to send an arborist to try to help it instead of a tech to recommend cutting it down! Taylors treatment and advice saved my favorite tree! We have them out several times a year now and every tree we own is larger, happier, and healthier than almost any others on our street. So grateful we found them!

Totally incompetent, rude, and dismissive! I am an Airline Pilot and retired Marine Corps aviator, I will convey my experience with this company chronologically. First, I contacted this company about 4 weeks ago to inquire about lawn service. The gentleman took my address and phone number and promised to call back that day with a quote. Two days later I hadnt heard from them (which should have been the first red flag) so I called them back. They gave me a quote and said they could accommodate my schedule. They then proceeded to come to my house unannounced then call me complaining I wasnt home and they couldnt service my lawn because of my dogs in my fenced in yard. But the good news is they serviced my front yard which is about 10 x 12 feet. They then set an appointment for the 29th of May and promised they would call 30 minutes prior to arriving. I received a call two days later informing me they had come to my house and only done my front lawn again because i wasnt home. I informed them that they had not called me as promised. The lady told me she would look into the matter and ended the call. A few minuted later the boss called, April, and started to impugn me about my inability to meet their schedule. after a long conversation i told her i was not interested in her illogical excuses and that I no longer wanted their services and i expected a refunded for the service they had provided on my tiny front yard. She actually laughed at me over the phone and said good luck with that. I told her I was going to come in personally to get my refund and she responded in a smug tone isnt that cute. I repeated she would be seeing me in person. About 30 minutes later I had police at my door saying that she had claimed I had threatened her, a total and complete lie. The cops recognized the truth of the matter and left annoyed that she had wasted their time. Im a decorated combat veteran of two wars and this is how these little people who dont have the courage to serve felt it appropriate to speak to me. Better Business Bureau, Facebook, and my credit card company are next to hear of this. Call for a quote, their lack of mastery of the English language is entertaining.

We were with this company for maybe a little over a year. We cancelled fall of 2018 (my husband called, and I was there with him so I know this for fact) only to get a spring bill show up on our door. Turns out they came and serviced... WE CANCELLED. When I called to voice my concerns, April Harmon stated that they had no record we cancelled and wanted me to pay for the service. I also voiced that our backyard had not been treated and they were charging me the full $50. She then stated they usually come out a 2nd time for this. That was comical because not ONCE had they ever done that. Apparently they had called the day before to inform my husband they were coming out. He got a new phone number the beginning of 2019, which April stated they didnt know. Well! You wouldnt have had to have known because like I said.. WE CANCELLED. I told them we were not paying for this unwanted service and to which April responded We will look forward to never servicing your property again. I understand why she was upset, but she needs to understand why we are too. So when you cancel, make sure you write down the date, time, who you spoke with, oh and maybe record the conversation. I would have wrote this review sooner, had I remembered reviews are a thing.

Customer service was good but burnt my lawn pretty bad. Reactive with info. Can provide pics if needed. Asked to cancel aftert that incident still called to perform service. Called and canceled again [6/17/2019 @ 0815 AM]

I have had Harmon and Sons doing my lawn care for two years now. My lawn looks amazing and I am constantly receiving comments on how good it looks. I initially tried to go with TruGreen, but their customer service was sub par from the start. Harmon and Sons prices beat that of competitors, and their customer service has been excellent. I have used Harmons for years. My lawn has never looked so good. Used another compnay for years prior and my lawn has never been thicker and healthier. I had alot of weeds and clover and its all gone.They do a great job would highly recommend them. They also do a great job on pest control.

I was disappointed with the service, after having to pay someone to come out and give me a bid and set up a service plan there was no follow through, I called several times, and was always told i was on the list.. and no one showed up, when they did, they only did half the job. I waited 3 months to get my trees sprayed, and finally gave up. The only time they actually contacted me is over an employee issue.. i would not recommend the company or their products.

I called them out the day after the holiday, and they were able to accommodate me within 24 hours. They dont do contracts on their pest control, which I like because I can handle a couple of pests and a couple of bugs, but I have a full-blown infestation going right now. They make decent promises on their warranty, and my infestation is bad enough that I originally suspected Id certainly have to call them back out to honor their warranty. That being said their product has so far exceeded expectations and its only been about 18 hours. I went from disposing of a hundred bugs per day, to about 10 this morning. So far I am well pleased, if I do have to call him back out, which it is starting to look like I wont, I will update my review accordingly, but I doubt it will be necessary. The other thing is that the technician was very patient with me, I had a lot of questions as to how it works, where the bugs come from, and what I can do about it myself. He was very knowledgeable... Side note - why is there a picture of the African American history museum in D.C. On the google thumb nail for thus company? Weird.

For a few years I have tried different lawn service companies and was never satisfied with any of them. Even tried the step program offered by J&J nursery but had little success. My son in law recommended Harmons and WOW! From the very first treatment my lawn has never looked so healthy and green as it does now! I highly recommend them for your lawn treatment. They really know their stuff.

This is the best lawn care & pest control company around! If you follow the instructions on the invoice & listen to their experts your lawn, trees and flower beds will look better than a well manicured PGA golf course. Their products are top notch and their service is outstanding! Some reviews on Google, Yellow Pages and on KSL, I am upset at these people who complain! What you pay for is totally worth it! If you follow the instructions about watering, what to do if something looks wrong, etc. you will not have any issues. Some people seem to hope that spraying the lawn is as simple as painting the lawn green, but its not. It requires the home owner to water the lawn and to continue to watch it and take care of it before nothing can be done! As much as I could wish that they stay at my lawn full time, they cannot so I do. Talking and working with the technicians, managers and the owner, they have been always friendly and very informative. They even sent a quality control guy to my yard out of no where free of charge just to ensure I was happy with my service and to check on my yard. They have been doing my lawn and pest control for over 11 years and I have nothing bad to say! I would and have recommended them to friends and family! They too are very pleased! If any of you read a previous review of mine about Harmons, I wanted to give you an update. After posting the review detailing the problems I was having, I received a call from April, one of the owners. We talked quite a while about what had happened and she admitted that I was one of the few who had fallen through the cracks. She requested that I not cancel and give them another chance. I agreed to do that. Within a day, their arborist was at my doorstep and spent a considerable amount of time discussing each tree and my concerns about them. A plan was developed for their health. I learned also that some of the products they are using on my property are natural products rather than chemical, which is something that makes me very happy. April told me that Harmons has over 900 customers in the Ogden area, so they do consider us Ogdenites important. As a small business owner myself, I understand how occasionally something can go totally wrong with an account. However, it is to the credit of the company if they go the extra mile in trying to make things right, which is what Harmons did. April even went so far as to give me her personal cell phone number to use if I had any problems or concerns. It is obvious to me that Harmons cares very much about how their customers feel about them and because of that, they have earned my loyalty. Their customer service attitude is amazing.

Just got off the phone with the owner. Tried to tell me he set up an appointment and the dogs were left out. When I tried to tell him I was not called he was rude and tried to say thats not the way it works. Um sorry sir no one called on the 8 of Nov to verify appointment for the 9th. I dont care if thats the way it works or not read my account there will be no record of me being called. Dont get me wrong they were great to work with at first. But the first time you leave your dogs out Mr Harmon turns into a not nice person. If I could add a picture I would of the text showing my daughter asking if I knew the lawn guys were there on the 1 of Oct not the 10.

I recently hired Harmon & Sons to take over my yard care services after discontinuing services with another company. I m a bit anal about my yard and had been frustrated with the lack of green and the plethora of weeds. It has been amazing how quickly my grass has sprung to life and the weeds have disappeared. My yard is looking awesome and Harmon & Sons was even cheaper than the previous company I used. I will add that I have been fortunate to know the manager there for many years and he is the reason I went to Harmon & Sons to give them a try in the first place. He is one of the most honest, fair, and decent people I know. I would highly recommend Harmon & Sons as their pricing is reasonable and their quality of service has been excellent! Thank you from a very satisfied customer!

POOR SERVICE. I ordered their best package and it unfortunately did nothing to stop the bugs and spiders in my basement. They promised to guarantee their work and then refused to do anything about this problem after I repeatedly told them their product wasnt working. DONT TRUST. Buyer beware. SCAM.

I have had Harmon and sons lawn service for the last two years and my lawn looks greener than all my neighbors and I have not had to water that much. I also have the bugs and spiders sprayed with a pet friendly spray and that has helped a lot and dont have to worry about my dogs. Repeated problems with these guys. First they killed my pasture by spraying roundup rather than fertilizer, they had to reseed it. Then they came and sprayed again after they had been canceled. Their product is okay, their office communication is not.
