I first met Scott after having him check out a drainage issue in my backyard. I didn't end up doing anything with it for that year, but kept him in mind for doing the front yard. I have no clue what plants or things I wanted, but knew what I didn't want. He drew a picture of what our yard would look like and explained each plant and the process going forward. His crew of Matt, Shawn, and Josh just finished and they did a great job. The price was exactly as he quoted and they did everything within 3 days. My wife and I just want to stare out the window all day now. Excellent experience working with Precedence and I would recommend them to anyone looking for landscaping. The price seemed quite reasonable to me after hearing (not actually getting) other quotes from friends. One last thing I can say is that the crew worked hard. I've never seen workers actually just work the whole day. Just nice to see.
Precedence Landscaping did a fantastic job on my yard. They took great care to select amazing greenery and florals. They made sure they took into account my tones and colours so everything blended well. They even included my wind sculpture in the layout. A job well done. Precedence started handling the property maintenance contract at my work place. Noticing the huge difference in the quality of work from our previous contractor, when it came time for my home project I reached out to Scott for a quote. Scott came out in good time and I was pleasantly surprised at the price of the quote as it was truly fair and reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done. The job took a total of 5 days and the crew Scott sent headed by Matt were very professional and creative. They always stayed in contact with my wife asking her what she though. Matt went above and beyond having some creative ideas and doing more than the quote going above and beyond with his crew to totally transform our property!!! No this did not hike up the price like other contractors they stuck to their quote!!! That is truly something you don't see everyday!! We are more that please with the work that Precedence performed. Most importantly they gave my wife the biggest smile when all was done. She means the world to me and for that alone I am personally grateful. We highly recommend them to be consulted for any home and commercial needs!! In closing Precedence Landscaping a company from top to bottom that 100% leads the field in creativity, professionalism, honestly and integrity!!!!!!
I hired Scott and crew last year (2022) to do sod and landscaping (trees/bushes etc.) I thought his price was a little high but expected a professional job. I Feel like I got anything but professional. Laying sod is not a difficult task but they just laid the sod over the existing grass instead of blending it in, now there is a large hump surrounding the area where the sod was laid. The trees that were put in were installed with half of the root balls exposed, he did come back to reset some of the trees but those trees have since died and Scott does not warranty the tree price (understandable if they were installed correctly in the first place but these trees have died because they had to dig them up and reinstall them correctly - due to poor workmanship). There were other issues as well but he did knock the price down a few hundred dollars for the other issues (which was fair so I'm not complaining about that). The overall quality did not match the cost I expected and I most certainly expected a resolution to the trees that died due to them being poorly installed. Would not recommend this landscaping company to anyone.

Scott was great. I called to have some work estimated and he informed me that they won't have time this year to get to anything and I asked if it was ok to still come out and look at the job and cost it out anyway. He agreed and said he would call back, I thought for sure I wouldn't get a call back this year but he actually called on the weekend and was able to swing by and provide an estimate. That's great customer service. Thanks Scott!

I hired this company before to work on my hedges. They charged me $1,600.00 a couple years ago. The work was barely satisfactory. My wife contacted the owner Scott about a future job. For some reason he lost his patience, seemed to be agitated, became aggressive, used profanity, then said he was very busy, and slammed the phone down. Scott has to work on people skills or go for anger management!
Hired the company last year at end of season to re-do landscaping in front and back yard including new sod all around. Majority of the landscaping was OK, grading was not done well as the backyard is waivy with multiple low points where water pools. Sod was laid and 25-50% of the sod was dead. I called to let the owner know and he came oit and tried to tell me this was normal and that I should pay him and wait for it to get better. I told him I will pay him once it gets better, the next day aproximately 75% of the sod was completely yellow and dead. The company came back and replaced the dead pieces, unfortunately some of the replacement sod was a different type of sod than the original. Now my yard is filled with rectangles that are different shades of green. Some sod sections near the house are now dead less than a year later. I called the owner to let him know about the different shades of green sod and he said he would come look and never did. The only reason I gave 2 stars here and not 1 was because they did replace the dead sod. However, lawn looks terrible and I am getting no help on how to fix it. I would never work with this company again, they take no pride in their work and just want to get paid and move on. You get what you pay for with these guys. If you want a NEW lawn that looks nice then look elsewhere. If they made an effort to fix the issues then i would not post this review or I would take it down. Please beware of this company if you are looking to get quality work done.
With all the rain this spring my backyard flooded far beyond anything I experenced in the 15 years living here, Scott assured me he would get the flooding under control, he explained what should be done in a very detailed manner, Scott was a pleasure to work with and his crew worked hard to complete the job, I would encourage anyone to call Scott for any landscaping needs.

Scott & his entire team did a fantastic job removing our old sod & landscaping our entire front-side yard including laying new sod, stone, trees & plants with little input from us! The guys were very polite, professional & incredibly hardworking & always here on time. I even had an issue with my one sprinkler which was pre-existing and they came out on Friday night & then again Saturday morning to ensure everything was working properly. Very impressed & we would definitely recommend Precedence Landscaping!

Precedence Landscaping just completed re-laying our back patio as well as creating a new patio in the back yard, connecting the deck to the pond. The transformation of the old patio was nothing short of amazing. The former installation had used too much sand and an insufficient base. In addition, large chunks of concrete had to be removed in order to create a new and solid base. Using their own design, Precedence Landscaping created an attractive layout for the stone pattern with a border that accented the small garden near the back door while the access to the new deck has taken on an attractive new look. All the work, including the new patio, connecting the deck to the pond has been the talking point among our friends. Everyone who has seen the work, be it in person or on Facebook, has commented positively about the design and the overall remaking of our back yard. We chose the stone for the patio and the rest was taken care of in excellent style. The workers were hard working, cooperative and helpful, even with small requests for assistance with items that were unrelated to their work. With all the stonework completed the surrounding ground was seeded with grass and the cleanup was such that nothing had to be done by us when their work was completed. The overall design, the thoroughness of the work, the attention to detail, all were done in efficient and satisfactory fashion. The work was done well within our budget and I found the owner, Scott Barrie, to be honest, and trustworthy! I would highly recommend Precedence Landscaping to anyone interested in creating a new or making-over your yard.
