Massey Services GreenUP Lawn Care Service in Largo

Recently had to have sections of the lawn replaced with sod. This was done when I was not home which resulted in my having several issues. I called Massey and Jeff immediately took the situation in hand. Within hours he sent Trey and Lucas to resolve the irrigation problem. They were very efficient and thorough. All the staff at Massey has been courteous and most helpful. I cannot praise enough their dedication to good customer service.

I try to avoid reading too many negative reviews and I rarely (if ever) have posted any negative reviews, but unfortunately I feel like it's inappropriate to not share this. I've worked with Massey Services for lawn treatment service for probably 8 to 10 years now. I've been happy with the services in the past as well as the responsiveness to issues when they were to arise, but something seems to have changed substantially in the past 2 years. As a result, my lawn has suffered (fungus, cinch bugs, weeds) and my shrubs have suffered intensely. In addition to fungus destroying the shrubs, I have 2 dead Christmas palms, 1 completely dead large gardenia bush, and one neighboring gardenia bush that is currently dying. I have called the local office for help several times in the past 18 months for attention to these problems to no avail. I've escalated and had the local office manager come to my house. She very professionally handled an assessment, stated what needed to be done, and then disappeared with zero follow ups. I escalated again to the regional GM. He came out with the same manager. She advised of a plan to aggressively treat the aforementioned issues and said she'd follow up to get rolling. She disappeared again. With that as the final instance of failure, I decided to cancel my services. The unfortunate thing is that Massey guarantees replacement of items in these instances (i.e. the gardenia bush, the Christmas palms, sod, etc.), but they've dragged their feet for 18+ months and have refused to replace anything. I requested grass plugs for one particular area (at least 3 times) and even offered to pay for them. I didn't get any help there either. All of these problems started somewhere around 2 years ago. Prior to that, Massey was great. I am sorry to have to cut them loose. I tried to partner with them and I tried to maintain patience with them, but the ball was simply dropped over and over again. I feel it's necessary (unfortunately) to inform the community of the fact that this organization appears to be too challenged to support their customers.

I complained in my last post about the time it was taking to get my sprinkler fixed. Massey replied and a team converged to make it right. Melissa and her team spent a few hours determining my head unit was broken. They replaced it and we are back in business. I am grateful. I am waiting on the rain sensor and wireless module. When I decided to choose Massey for my lawn services I knew it was the right choice. Lisa Albertus was my initial contact, I explained I felt hopeless about my lawn. I had a previous lawn service that did nothing about my issues, it looked terrible. In our conversation Lisa was positive she could help my lawn back to healthy and said, "just give me time. Enter Dontrel Wheeler my technician, within a few weeks I was seeing signs of life, better color, fewer dead spots, and less insect damage, it was actually looking like I had a lawn service. Thanks Dontrel! It's nice to know that this company cares about it's customers, and their people who represent really do a great job. I strongly recommend Massey for your lawn service.

I've been using Massey Irrigation for a few years now and I'm so glad I have been. They keep my system running smoothly and without them checking on my sprinkler heads, my yard wouldn't be so healthy. The irrigation staff has always been friendly, courteous and professional. I was especially impressed with Trevante my current technician. I had a morning appointment and mentioned one time I don't like early mornings. Trevante remembered this and made me his last morning appointment. I was so impressed something said in passing was remembered. What a great guy.

Melissa and Shaun are super stars! Between their lawn care services and irrigation, they keep my grass looking the best in the neighborhood.

Wonderful company. Nathan and Dontrel from the Clearwater office are professional, courteous and always answer my questions. My lawn is beautiful and the best in the neighborhood. I don’t trust anyone else.

If after a year of care, if you want weeds to take over, this is the place to call. Otherwise don’t. I have now to deal with weeds everywhere like I never before. Like they just took care of the middle of the lawn, when lucky. Forgetting the agreement/promise to take care the property as a whole, including the parkway. They just don’t deliver...
