SH has proven to be very responsive to the needs of our complicated condominium grounds. Our community consists of 6 different buildings all surrounded by a wide variety shrubs. They are communicative and willing to go the extra mile to leave our property looking well groomed and attractive. The crew is very easy to work with and respond well to their leader, Carlos. Hardwood trimming: Kenny and his crew just completed raising the canopy and center pruning our 8 live oaks. They did an excellent job and were very responsive to our requests. The crew cleaned up well. Kenny went above and beyond to make our trees look beautiful! I look forward to having them trim our palms later in the summer.

Earlier this year, we were searching for a new landscaping vendor for our condominium located on Sand Key. Fortunately, we met Doug who introduced us to Southern Hospitality. After thorough company evaluations, we contracted S.H. and, thus far, are extremely happy with their landscaping services. Having a large property, there are high expectations and S.H. has been attentive and efficient. What stands out the most from other companies, are their monthly landscaping reports! We encourage all properties that have landscaping issues to, at the very least, interview this company.

One of your landscapers cut me off, stopped, then went in reverse and hit my car and drove off today. Edit: Southern Hospitality responded to my review 5 months later. The reason I did not call their office was because the damage to my vehicle was minimal. This review was the notification to their business of the incident. The fact their truck drove away like nothing happened was a signal to me that nothing could be accomplished after the fact as establishing fault would be impossible. My review is merely an account I understand is impossible for them to rectify 5 months later.

They showed up on time and worked at our property until the entire job was completed. Our project was large and required special care and they handled it with ease. When the past Manager, named Jimmy was Managing the useless workers, he did a great job!! The new person, named Doug, states he is responsive, so he can get good rating in Google ... Doug stated he would send money for my plants his new guy destroyed, demolished ... I havent seen anything or received any money for my plants His excuse was he was home ill... at least he can give an update that he is still incapable of handling his responsibilities!!!

I used this company for a portion of my backyard to be paved. After a few bumps in the road my backyard turned out absolutely beautiful. The company completely rectified those bumps along the way and I could not be happier with the outcome!

Southern Hospitality recently installed a sprinkler system, sod and pavers in our back yard. From the very first contact, we were just so impressed with how genuinely nice and courteous everyone was, as well as extremely professional and knowledgeable. They are quick to respond to calls and emails. They showed up as promised, worked HARD the entire time they were here, left the yard looking better than it did when they arrived (even on the first day which was mostly demo) and treated this relatively small job as if it were the most important project they had ever done. Every single employee represented the company in such a positive way. We hired Southern Hospitality to scrape, regrade, and resod our front lawn. They also redesigned the plantings in front of our house, trimmed the palms, and reworked the landscape on the side of our house. We are extremely pleased with all the plant recommendations and the work done. We will definitely be hiring them for future jobs.

First off, I have recently dealt with a pool construction in my backyard. If anyone has gone through this you know its a nightmare. You have to deal with subcontractors showing up when they want and usually, leaving their mess behind or worse the work is shoddy. I contacted Southern Hospitality about a month ago to get a quote on landscaping behind my newly built pool. To my surprise, someone answered the phone and they were able to send someone out within a few days! Jimmy came by and gave me a quote(nice guy). I called back after they followed up and said I wanted the landscaping done. Within a week I was on the schedule! In fact, they bumped me up a day. My wife couldnt be happier, since she is having company over for the 4th of July weekend. The crew was polite, quick, and actually cleaned up after themselves, imagine that. Jimmy was there to make sure the plants and trees were placed properly. What a breath of fresh air to deal with a professional contractor, I will tell you these are far and few between in our area. These guys were responsive, fast, polite, respectful of my property, and attentive. If you need a landscape contractor you cant go wrong with Southern Hospitality Lawn & Landscaping. I will be using them for my future projects.

I reached out to Jason at the beginning of September-my yard was an absolute catastrophe-a previous landscaper had really ruined the space and the weeds were the stuff of nightmares. I happened to be driving by a neighbors house while Southern Hospitality was there doing irrigation and landscaping work on the property. So, I decided to stop and check out what they were doing and spoke with Jimmy. I asked him for a business card and told him what I was wanting done. He offered to stop by within the hour, which he did. Jimmy surveyed and measured my front yard and answered all my questions and concerns. I received an email with the a detailed estimate later that day. Southern Hospitality installed a new well pump, irrigation system, top soil and sod. They did everything they said they would do and left no mess when they finished the job. Affordable, friendly, professional and a hard working crew. I ll be calling them back when I m ready to do my backyard.

Great customer service, very knowledgeable and great follow up and follow through. We have a small house and small yard, and Southern Hospitality crew turned it into the tropical oasis we want. When the work crew finished, clean up was a snap and our home looked like neat and tidy as if no work was done at all. We would gladly recommend this company based on our experience. Southern Hospitality made our scraggly natural Florida yards (front and back) look gorgeous with their installations of sod, rocks, new trees, and mulch. Jason was usually very prompt with replies to questions or concerns, and everyone I met on his crew was nice and accommodating from well installers to destruction crew to landscaping crew when I asked for the things I wanted in the yard while they were installing. They also left the place spotless everyday. About a month has passed and our sod and new palms are doing well. Neighbors have complemented the upgrade, and our yards are much nicer places to spend time now. After the job they brought a nice gift basket, which was totally unexpected and unnecessary, but I guess thats southern hospitality for ya! They also texted to see how all the things they installed were holding up. I would use this company again and would definitely recommend them.

I have recently bought a house in St Pete which had the neighbors home looking over my pool and yard. So i needed a solution to create some privacy and i was looking for a gardening company to install trees and new sod - this is when I found Sothern Hospitality on my google search. Jason was the main gentleman i have worked with, he was very understanding, extremely professional and to the point - he came over and assessed the situation and came up with a solution to install fishtails by the fence, high enough to block the two stories house next door. His guys, Jimmy, William, Ken and Antonio were so fun and hard working, they spent hours getting a crane to go over the house (since my backyard gate wasnt large enough to get the large machinery in), installed the most beautiful fishtail palms, 18 + long, which provided me with the privacy i was looking for and more. The guys worked through all weather conditions, always on time, explained everything they were doing, and installed a new irrigation system for the sod and the trees. It was such a pleasure working with Southern Hospitality and i would recommend them without any hesitation.

What to say! Down to earth, quick, quality, customer-first mentality. I cant be happier with the work theyve done (a few trees down, sod, pavers, French drain). All done in a week. Jimmy, their project manager, is a pleasure to work with. He will treat you as a friend and will make sure you are 100% satisfied before he takes your check. That s not the case with this landscaping job! Perfection! They arrived early first thing in the morning ready to work. I met with Jimmy who made sure I was satisfied with the tree trimming before they moved on. I asked them to trim a little more, and they were more than happy to do so. Will is the designer. I had a regular idea in mind, and he made suggestions that changed the whole dynamic in the best way possible. We worked together to create the perfect layout! They installed sod and mulch and showed me how to take care of the sod. When they were done, I had almost a whole palette of sod left. I asked them to show me how to install it in the front. They went above and beyond by helping me get it set up, and another guy helped me lay it down real fast so I wouldnt have to waste all that money on sod by throwing it away. This team went above and beyond with their customer service, professionalism, and final product! I am beyond happy and will definitely call these guys for my next landscaping job! I took my time to research who I would have take on my larger landscaping project. After careful consideration I chose Southern Hospitality for the job. To say they did a great job is an understatement. They exceeded all of my expectations. Jimmy who came out heard what I wanted and made my dream yard come to life. He presented several designs and what he showed me on the screen is exactly the yard I got. They were able to do everything I needed front yard and backyard trimming trees, sod, landscaping, and even additional irrigation. Jason the owner was also great with responding via email. Both Jason and Jimmy showed up on the job site the days of the job to ensure it went perfect. Since the job they have called to check on my property and answer anytime I call. I plan to have them add lighting in the upcoming months. If you are looking for a company this is who you need. They will have a customer in me for life.

This year we knew we had to replace our crumbling fence so it was time to finally make the move to landscape the yard at the same time. We had lost our two beautiful oak trees and the fern beds that had surrounded them over the past five years. We knew we wanted more than just some plants put in, we wanted someone who could design an entirely new space. I knew about Jason so I gave him a call and asked if he d come out and take a look. Jason met me early and we walked the space and I gave him a general idea of what we were looking for. Jason took pictures of the entire yard and told me he get back to me with a design. By that afternoon he d sent me a full computerized mock up of what he envisioned for our yard taking our wants and needs into consideration. We were blown away with how closely his design matched our vision. We wanted simple, low maintenance and a fire pit area. A date was set and work started first thing on a Monday. There was daily communication about what would be done each day and every crew we had showed up early and went straight to work. From the subs who did the complete removal and the stump grinding, to the crews from Jason s staff, each person was courteous, hardworking and treated our property as if it were their own. We lost a day because of additional stump grinding that had to be done and they still finished on time. We would highly recommend Jason and Southern Hospitality to anyone looking to have landscaping design or work done. This was a fun and enjoyable experience and we love our new space!!

Jason and the crew at Southern Hospitality just completed a landscaping project for our front yard. Cleared out the plant beds, replaced sod, and calibrated the irrigation system. Just prior to this, the tree crew cleared my neighbor s trees along the property line to provide more sunlight for our property. Front yard looks great and all of the plants are taking well. I ve known Jason and many of his staff for several years and they are great to work with. I highly recommend this company for landscaping, tree trimming, irrigation, and brick paver installation. We had an area in our yard that was in very bad shape. Jimmy and his crew did a great job removing and replacing the trees in the area, as well as checking/fixing our irrigation system. The new landscaping will make my life a whole lot easier! They were there every step of the way making sure the process went smoothly with the HOA. Southern Hospitality has been one of the most professional companies we have ever worked with. They understood the project and constantly communicated with us so that we knew exactly how and when the project would happen. Southern Hospitality provided landscaping and clean-up services to the entire front of my house (which was incredibly overgrown). They laid sod in the backyard and planted a palm tree as well as a variety of plants and shrubs in the front yard. (It was a lot of work). From the beginning, I was impressed with their professionalism and courtesy. Additionally, Jason and his team promptly responded questions and discussed cost-effective options regarding the project. The project was scheduled within a week of the estimate. I really could not be happier with the result. My house and yard are GORGEOUS!! They have never looked this beautiful. Called for a quote for some sod replacement, landscaping work and maintenance on my yard. Scott came out and told me this is something they could easily handle and that hed have a quote to me by the end of the week. I reached out over a week later, received an apology and that hed get the quote soon. Its been over a month now, no quote, no follow up, so I guess they dont need my business. I wouldnt waste your time with this company.
