My TruGreen Specialist Ethan did a great job of servicing my lawn. He was very informative, thorough and friendly.

Hired Tru Green for there mosquito defense service and they definitely covered my entire yard and trees (1 acre) tech showed up on time and you can track them using the link texted to you live map updates. After seeing the product sprayed top to bottom that much Im confident the mosquitoes will all leave and not come back if not they have a no mosquito guarantee after the first 24hrs if you get bit you call and they come out spray again no cost. I only paid $40 for the first application $90 after that and one application lasts 20-35 days.

I have spoken to the people at this location several times about my crabgrass. First Im told that it needs to be treated during pre-emergence, yet the technican didnt apply any herbicide to my lawn during his first two visits (only fertilizer) and obviously missed the window of treatment since my lawn is covered in crabgrass. I only have one treatment left and after that one is completed I plan to cancel my trugreen service. Im going to see if I cant find another more reliable alternative. Tugreen is just too expensive for the poor quality you get with using their service.

They always call me in advance to let me know a service will be performed. If I have any issues (like leaves on the ground, etc.) - I can request a different day. Once my service is complete they leave me a thorough report with notification of any problems they see (like dog urine spots, etc.) and they provide suggested solutions. I love the communication between service provider and customer. I feel confident to make choices based on their recommendations, rather than feeling pressured.

TruGreen repeatedly meets or exceeds our expectations. My shrubs are picture perfect. My technician/specialist, ANDREW LASKEY, treats our shrubs like his own, taking pride in how it is maintained and always alerting me to concerns. TruGreen and Andy has kept us very happy - year round and that makes me a more than satisfied customer. This is one of my services that I never have to follow up on. Its automatic - from service to billing. Professional, courteous, respectful and reliable. I would give Andy a 20 if possible but will have to settle giving him a 10 from both of us.

Tree spraying and fertilization.

Trugreen is a joke. They are a scam and unethical. Ripping off customers by saying they have certain products in the mix when they actually don t. Say they did whole lawn..when they didn t. Do NOT waste your time and money!

Do not use. Twice last year they did not come when they said they did. I thought I would give them another chance this year. Just watch the technician come and do have my yard. Canceled right away.

The worker are in and out and very efficient. Only problem is last falls over seeding of the lawn. There is grass coming up in all the flowerbeds and garden. It will a big mess to clean up.

I used their service since last year fall. So, the first service was aeration and overseeding. Then, this year they applied fertilizer around the end of March and the beginning of May. I didnt feel anything until April, but all the sudden grass becomes thicker and so soft to step on. Fantastic!

As a new customer, I am impressed with the service we have received so far. Both techs that came out were very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They answered our many questions and did not rush us. We noticed results the very next day after our weed application. The price was very reasonable. We have a large yard and it would be very costly to purchase what we needed to use at retail. If we need a respray, they come out at no additional cost. Looking forward to working with TruGreen and enjoying our yard this year!

I used them last year. First time ever using a company to treat my lawn. Very pricy, but I have an invasive weed problem that I didn t have time to properly deal with. I was at work for their visits and at first would have a sign in yard when they came. Quit getting signs after 2nd visit, and timing was so incredibly fast between arrival text and completion text, felt they only had time to send text not actually perform my service. Was told that I would see results w/in 1 yr. This season invasives are worse than last.. Plead my case to representative and got reduced price for this season.. Reluctantly giving up another large sum of money to kill weeds. Had them today and of course these people have no clue of my property lines or what to actually spray. I showed them the property lines and explained about invasives. They spent 3 times of a normal visit last year. But also sprayed flowers and others that are unwanted to be sprayed. Great effort by them, but I feel like 2 things could be better: actually meet with customer before 1st spray to get property layout, and make a record of it to be sent with next tech (so far never the same person). And train techs better to recognize weeds from flowers, or pretend to actually care about the lawn they re spraying.

Not happy with the service .Once again they were supposed to come out spray for mosquitoes before our company was coming .never showed up. We called them they now tell us they will not be able to come till Monday.

This is my first season using TruGreen and I am very happy with how my lawn is looking. We have a new lawn that had lots of weeds in it and 95% of the weeds are gone now. Our lawn is looking very nice and green. So happy that I chose TruGreen over applying my own weed and feed products.

Services are largely good but communication lacks. There should be the opportunity to telephone my local office directly when I have a question or comment, without having to go through a centralized call center. I realize I may need to leave a voicemail but thats better than a call center. Centralized call centers are awful and unhelpful. I want to talk to the people providing my services.

The technicians are always on time and professional. They explain what they are doing and ask if you have any concerns or questions.

The guy who came out today (Dalton?) did the best job Ive seen in a long time. He did the entire lawn, not just the middle! Most of the others cut off the corners and ditch just to save time, I guess.

I asked on at least (5) different occasions to be taken off their call list, and it went completely ignored. I fired them in August of last year, and this week alone Ive received two calls and a text. Try their service at your own risk.

Nothing against the customer service or the folks who serviced the lawn. The price of the service is expensive. The quantity of products used on the lawn is lesser than what they mention in the receipt. More you pay the better the service you get. When you try to cancel the service they offer you the service for a cheaper price. The automated calls came after the lawn care folks serviced the lawn due to which I ended up paying $60 without even knowing I was getting a treatment. I would recommend folks doing the care by themselves instead of paying hundreds of $$$

I had 2 issues with the company, first, they send you updates when the driver is getting close your house and when they show up, so I let my wife know they were going to be there in a few minutes. She watched him pull up beside the house, sit there for 20 minutes then leave. I then received a receipt in the mail for his services even though he never got out of his truck...security cameras confirmed this. I called the company and they made an excuse that he probably did the wrong house...not. Anyway, they rescheduled and performed the work. Then, 2-weeks later, I get a bill for $92 for their services at a residence we sold last year. I had a season contract with them that apparently automatically renews unless I call and cancel it...I wasnt aware of this. When I called and explained it, the lady was very sympathetic, but her supervisor said there would be no refund. I explained that once my current contract was up (I prepaid) that I would not be getting them ever again unless they dropped the charge...they wouldnt, so I will no longer use them.

They say they preformed a service and they didnt. I was still charged for it. This has happened multiple times. They auto renewed my service when I did not authorize it. When I did service last year and I paid up front for there 6 services, I was told that was it. Nothing about being auto renewed. I dont get how they charge for a service they never did. Calling customer service is a 20 plus minute hold and they never seem to know what they are doing.

I just started using this company to renew my lawn. 1) I still have not received any confirmation email for my payment or new customer info. 2) My phone number in their records was not correct. 3) I was not informed by call or text prior to their visit today so I can let the dog out quickly before they arrive as I was instructed. So far the customer phone service has been awful. I will update this review if and when improvement is made.

I ordered aeration once and they came back a year later to do it again without ever contacting me. Luckily I was home and told them I didn t need the service. Later that night, my credit card was charged $245 for service I didn t want and didn t receive. Fraudulent company.

Now that I look back at other reviews I wish I had never paid the full season for mosquito spray, they have came out 2 times and when they do come out it helps! But now 2 times they have said they came out and literally didnt show, but have a receipt saying they came and did my whole yard, and I was home all day and no one showed!! 2nd time :( definitely would not suggest! If they actually came out it would be worth it and would recommend what they use, but since they are reliable, its not worth the headache.

Watched todays technician show up to treat 2.5 acres for mosquitos, he treated less than 100 lineal feet of our property. This service is usually done with a fogger as they spray the trees and lawn. Adrien P used a pump and nozzle to spray the perimeter of our home. Watched him also throw his cigarette butt in our fenced-in portion of the yard where our dogs play. I watched all of this as in June for our treatment Adrien P was the technician scheduled and he marked in the system that he treated our home, and never did. Working from home, I see my driveway when looking at my monitors, additionally, our dogs are inside/outside during the work day so when I receive the text that they are on their way or if they pull in the driveway I run out to put the dogs away. Still waiting for someone from Management to contact me back about how to make this right. Do not use TruGreen. Mosquito Squad is far superior! Would have used them but my husband wanted to couple with weed control (which we went with another firm on).

I get the mosquito control service and I happen to be home on this day but the service guy didnt know I was home. I saw him do a very thorough job and was very professional. No mosquito problems since I started this service.

This company is the biggest waste of time and money. DO NOT trust them. They promised to do our entire yard for a set price and if we were not happy we would get our money back. They repeatedly kept coming and only doing about 1/8 of our yard in the very front and leaving. I called many times to tell them to knock when they come and I will let them into the gated back and side yard. They continued not to do it. I called to get the refund that was promised to me and cancel my service. Now some girl called and said they NEVER do refunds and she could do nothing to help us. She said she couldnt look at my records far back enough (3 months)to see who originated our agreement with them so we could talk to him specifically. I will NEVER use them again and will tell everyone I know to stay far away after this horrible customer service.

They are killing my landscaping (trees) with overspray of chemicals. However they keep missing the weeds in the grass. Last week I requested them to stop service until a manager evaluated our landscaping, was told a manger would be out to survey the landscaping within the next two business days. Then this week (yesterday) they conducted service again, and have fertilizer everywhere (rock/mulch beds, driveway, porch). Called again this morning, told they would send email to a manager and they would be back in contact with me in the next 48 hours. Unbelievable, starting the process over again while our expensive trees die. Clearly TruGreen does not care or follow there own promises.

Ive been trying to cancel my service since October 2020. I elected to have my whole lawn done, but of the 7 treatments I signed up for, TG only did my full lawn twice. The only reason I know this is because the rep knocked on the door to have me unlock my fence on those two times. They never answer the phone, they never return calls. When I used the chat system for customer service to cancel I was told that my account would remain active until I actually talked to a representative. HOW? Their wait time is always 1-2 hours long, no matter if you call the local number or their toll-free. Then when have the audacity to ask to be called back through the automated system, it never does. AND I cant delete my credit card information off their website!

Why are your reps going door to door, with no mask, during a pandemic? One just went through my neighborhood, stood on the porch for at least a few minutes when no one answered (I was in a meeting but watched on my Ring camera) and left a door hanger. Its insane to me that you have people cold calling with no safety precautions.

A guy named Steve called me a million times to get service with them before spring . Because the phone number didnt come as trugreen as they were working for home I told him I had to verify with. Manager first. I spoke to the manager who called me and he guaranteed me the $153. 00 quote Steve and I discussed if I called the office when it was open to verify their employment there. After verifying I gave Steve my card number and placed the order. I heard nothing after that so I called today. Steve said his manager couldnt give me the price and his manager wont be working there anymore.... but he could get it done for $225....

Rep came to our door, I told him we are not interested, he left and then returned and left sarcastic note on door hanger. Very immature behavior. Door to door is hard work, but rejection should be honored and expected at times.

A man by the name bill, called and text me several times a day to get the busy. I have agreed and went with them, was told within 2 weeks someone would be at my house to do the first application. 6 weeks later no one has shown up and bill will not answer and reply to messages. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO STAY AWAY FROM TRUGREEN!

HORRIBLE COMPANY, For the past year and a half my elderly parents yard has crabgrass and dandelions and weeds, Ive called numerous times to get the situation handled and nothing was done. This year its the same situation, Ill be cancelling this service, the supervisor is supposed to call me, well see if that happens.

I spoke with a sales representative about my plan and he was extremely rude. I was quoted a price a couple days ago but was disconnected. I called back today to see when I can continue my treatments and the guy quoted me wayyyy higher than the previous sales associate. I was frustrated as it was a huge different and when I complained the guy gave me a huge attitude and asked what I wanted to do so I don t sit there and waste his time. So rude! Then at the end he hung up on me without saying a word. I will never use this service as I was treated so poorly.

I am going to cancel my service with true green. I originally had an appointment for 7/15/21 the appointment disappeared from the portal. I called to see if I could reschedule and ask what happened...nobody knows. I received a text that a new appointment was made for the 17th. I received the text with the link to monitor the arrival of the specialist for mosquitos. I got a text saying he had arrived. I went to my driveway to see if he was down the road or something. Nobody was here at my home. I soon received a text that my service was complete. Nobody was ever here...I feel scammed. I called the and spoke to someone who tried to reach the specialist. No response. I was offered $11 off my fee...why would I pay anything for a service that was not even done. I am still swarmed with mosquitos. I wasnt even offered another service call. And I still have a bill for the full amount even though the service was never performed. I am beyond upset! What happened to this company? They were great last year!

Ive been with this company for a year and I am very satisfied with their service. This year, on my last treatment I did gave them 3 star review because Ive had a few issues with the mosquitoes still refusing to go away. I received a call from Jackie the same day asking me about the review, when I explained my concern she explained that it is because this year the humidity and the heat have increased. She was very nice and undetstanding. I apologized for the review and still she offered me another complimentary treatment which I was not expecting. Needless to say I felt really bad and greatful at the same time. Also, their customer service is superved

They were good last year spraying for mosquitos and came out to spray whenever we called and said we had more mosquitos, this year has been terrible. We were supposed to have them out last week to spray, nobody showed up. My wife called them and they said they d be out today,(about a week late) once again nobody showed up. My wife called again and was put on hold and didn t get a reason as to why they didn t show up again. Now they say they ll be out next week. Mosquitos are so bad my kids can t play outside. Definitely would not recommend using them. We won t be having them back next year

The reason i cant give a 5 star review is because i still have weeds in my lawn. Not a lot but a lot was missed & i think the reason for that is because instead of doing the weed control by hand sprayer they do it on a motorized vehicle and they miss a lot of places even after talking with them before application.Just for reference i do have a large lawn about 3/4 acre. They are very nice and respectful though. I used to have Scotts do my lawn & they did a great job. Unfortunately they are no longer in business. I think TruGrReen took them over.

I am a new TruGreen customer. I have never paid for lawn care before. I expected that (as their website says) they would send out a technician who could talk about our lawn before the first treatment and let us know what their plan was. They sent out someone who, when I asked, didnt even know what he was putting on our lawn. It turns out it wasnt what we ordered. We also paid for tick/mosquito prevention. That was misapplied as well and the wrong plan was charged. The big problem is that they are a big company that is committed to turning a profit instead of listening to customers. I have called four times to get someone who knows something to come out and talk with me about our lawn. Today they sent someone out, but he left before I could talk with him. Extremely disappointed and looking for a local company that cares.

If you feel like hand holding, go with TruGreen Lansing. I would recommend being there every time they come. If not, theyll show up, not get out of their car, mark you down for a treatment and charge you. Ive seen this happen multiple times.

Hi Trugreen whoever you are. We were promised our weeds would be eliminated. Have called several times and no results. This last time on Monday I asked to speak with the manager. The person I talked to assured me of a return call,it never happened. Im not happy. I have had to call after each application. Workers dont seem to know what to do and dont do a thorough job. After I called the first time I was assured a visit the next week. Didnt happen for 3 weeks even after we would get a text saying next day service. Please contact.

Promised mosquito and bug treatment, called back twice due to it not working and they want to try again to spray. So all this time wasted with not being able to benefit from the outdoor treatments, summer is almost over and all they can do is come and retreat that still doesn t work.

Horrible!!!! sales person stated in a text that he will not stop calling, has stated that he will continue to call until we give him the number of someone who doesnt even live here. We filed a complaint with customer service with no response back. Next call will be to the police. over fertilizer!

Their technician completed the irrigation and damaged my fence. Going on two weeks and I have yet to receive a call from a Manager. Ive called everyday and been told the same thing, they will expedite it and have a Manager call me. This is completely unprofessional and ridiculous as a customer that I have to hound a company to fix my property that they damaged and this is not the first time with TruGreen as their technician left there machine parked on a hill and it ran right into my gate.

Our yard looks worse now than it did 10 years ago before we started using their services.. There are large brown weeds covering the entire lawn. We will no longer be using their services.

We used them for a couple applications last summer and decided we didn t need the service after that. In January they started calling to get us scheduled again. And they have been very aggressive about calling and trying to get us to use their services again. They don t take no for an answer and they call so many times. I told them Many times that if we wanted their services we would contact them. If they call me again I m going to be very unhappy. The applications worked well and I had no problems with the tech that came to the house but the woman who calls to make the appointments is difficult to work with. She doesn t listen at all.

Good luck getting someone to answer the phone at Lansing branch .I will just get what I need and do my lawn myself.

Your people are a vehicular menace in my neighborhood. They park in the middle of the street to check their phone and have driven into yards as well. Please see to recertifying your drivers.

Ive had TruGreen now for two years and I could not be happier with the results of my lawn. Not only do I have the fertilizer applications but I also have the flea and tick control because I have three beautiful dogs. The look of my lawn is amazing and the results are brilliant. While others have stories of their own, we have not had anything but great experiences with TruGreen. The most recent was a visit from corporate for the sole purpose of putting a face to TruGreen out of concern that the company has grown so much that there was a fear of losing the personal touch, the interaction with the client. I found this insightful and such a throwback that it appears progressive!! In addition we recently had a weed control product applied and a heavy rainstorm soon followed. I called TruGreen to simply register a concern Within three days they returned and reapplied the treatment.

I posted a review a while back about poor customer service. When trugreen responded about a month later they addressed it to a wrong name. Seriously?!? Goes to show they really dont care canceling my service.

I wouldn t recommend your service to anyone. Applications were not done in proper succession so I had weeds and crabgrass then the lawn was killed by post emergent so they had to re-seed which was only partially successful. I had to be home for every treatment because there was no communication between sales and service. I was mislead about the effectiveness of the shrub control as well and that service killed one of my shrubs. I felt cheated.

I normally do not do reviews, but our service was so terrible, i felt that i needed to let others in the area know. Incredibly bad customer service as well as bad lawn service. Someone was supposed to walk the property with us before service started to which no one did. The lawn had weeds, clover etc all season long. When issues were brought up, the manager never got back to us. The times they were, they left our gate open which is a huge liability issue as we have a pool. There were several other services issues that i wont get into here as well. When i brought the issues up, i was promised a manager would come out and take a look and walk the property with me. Again, no one showed. I have resorted to contacting corporate to see if anyone will lend a hand. I would not recommend them for anything...there are too many other options out there and this place will give you nothing but headaches.

I contacted TruGreen today to try and learn about what they could do to fix my yard. I have a horrible problem with moss and already tried to pull it up and plant grass seed. I spoke with a representative who stated they would not come out and look at the yard. The representative also said they would go ahead and sign me up for a monthly fertilizer for the weeds, which I do not have. Then she was trying to get me to put a card on file to perform a service in the fall to help with my grass. I told the representative I would like to follow-up with them in a couple of weeks. The representative was again trying to push me to sign up for fertilizer treatments. I explained I was going to wait for now and she then hung up the phone on me. I definitely will not be going with this company for my yard projects. I am also glad I found out the poor customer service before signing up with them.

This lawn service did nothing for my lawn. I still had weeds after 4 months of treatments. Also, the past two treatments they skipped my treatment because they Didn t have access to my backyard . I never signed up to have the back lawn treated, and since they couldn t figure it out, I canceled my services. I wouldn t recommend anyone sign up for this waste of money.

Ive had TruGreen now for several years but the last three years have been horrible. Their customer service is nearly non-existent. They pretend to take a first class interest in my yard but do nothing of the sort. I just got off of the phone with one of the Reps about a touch-up service for dandelions which got missed again. They have certainly gone down hill and this will most likely be my last season with them. I would not recommend them based on my experience.

Trugreen fails. I have huge bare spots in my lawn under their care. Attempts over the last 6 weeks to get this resolved have been futile. The call center people are nice enough, but they have to refer everything to a manager who never calls back. Both Lou, a service manager, and Liz, the general manager for Lansing, have been completely unable to follow through on what they said they were going to do. My lawn was supposed to be seeded two weeks ago it wasnt. A followup call to the call center revealed they were to arrive last Monday...they did but decided to put down a pre-emergent weed killer which means seeding wont be effective for 12 weeks. Thats September and a whole Michigan summer. I canceled my account with them today and went to buy sod. My recommendation: find another company to do this work for you.

Treatments work! However, I received a call stating they were noticing an increase in mosquitoes this year and wanted to schedule 3 more treatments @ $132 each. I explained they have not even sprayed this year at our house so I have no idea if the prepaid treatments will work or not. He continued to say he will schedule the extra treatments. I again told him we do not want the additional treatments. He then went on to say they have seen an increase in ticks, fleas and spiders in our area and wanted to sell me additional treatments for this. Not happy with the SALES call.

My lawn is looking great. The specialist that is serving my lawn takes time to talk to me and offer positive suggestions. Service has been regular and dependable.

The service has been good but the aggressive telemarketing efforts to try and sell you additional services all season long make this a company to avoid. Unless you enjoy receiving 7 or 8 calls each summer from a telemarketer from TruGreen, choose another company.

Excellent business, they really take great care of Thier customers.

The weeds in my lawn practically disappeared after the first treatment. My lawn has never looked and and the specialist were always super friendly.

I wasnt sure I was going to switch to Tru-green. This is the best my grass has looked in a long time. I get so many compliments and they keep coming. People want to know what I am doing differently, I say Tru-green. So I am pleased with the results!
