If I could leave zero stars, I would. I called Stiles lawn service for my grandparents property and it seemed like whoever answered the phone was half asleep. Worse, when they showed up my grandmother had no idea they arrived until after services when they Walked into her house. No knocking, just walked and welcomed themselves in. My grandparents are in their 80’s and often need service at their place but this is the first time my grandmother felt uncomfortable. The job they did didn’t make her feel any better. I would look around before using their services
Trash, can't even get a call back to get a quote, called once a week for almost a month to talk to the nice receptionist and get nothing but a promise to get a call within a few days, so I waited and nothing endless circle, next time just tell me you don't want the job upfront instead of wasting my time.
Another crappy experience Trying to pick up materials for my lawn. It seems like every time i'm there, they don't have somebody capable of using the loader. I would highly recommend going elsewhere for your landscaping need. In response to your comment . it was definitely intended for this business. Iv been there twice now to pick up topsoil and each to Noone the was able to operate the loader so I had to go elsewhere. I just wanted to make others aware so they don't have to have the same experience
This is the second year Stiles has cared for our condo complex's lawn treatment: fertilize/weed & pest control, and they've done an exceptional job! Communication is terrific and needs are met quickly. Their work is thorough and greatly appreciated!
Technician was on time and ask me if I had questions about my lawn condition. My yard had been untended by the previous owner. Stiles is willing to work with me to take care of weeds and make the grass greener and thick. That’s all I can ask for and expect.
I have to imagine I have one of the best lawns in my neighborhood and a lot of the credit goes to Stiles. Stiles designed and installed the landscaping and removed and replaced the lawn. Great customer service.

I had a pipe in my sprinkler system break, and trying to get it fixed had been a super frustrating experience. I reached out to Stiles, and got a call back within a few hours. Luckily for me, it was a slow day, so they were able to come out and fix it the same day. They fixed everything I asked for, but also fixed some other things that were broken that I didn't know about, and did some general maintenance on my system too. They were super efficient and kind, and their rates are exceptionally reasonable for what good work and good customer service they provide. I will definitely work with them again. Highly recommend!!!

Overall, I am content with the service. The owner really cares about his company. Had to call for A weed spot treatment for the first time and they hit the hotspots but left areas along the driveway. No big deal I ll pull those myself.

They made the first application of fertilizer/weed control. Looks good so far. Its tough to judge overall at this point. The yard looks great, but actually I wish there was something you could do to SLOW DOWN the grass growth. The clippings are so heavy that I have to rake them up after mowing. Dont really appreciate the extra work. Needs to be mowed every 4-5 days.

Stiles has done a great job on our 2 acre lawn. Bob is spot on with the treatment and takes great care with clean up after. Were going to use them for mosquito and tick spraying this year. I know they will do a good job!
Always very professional. They do an amazing job with every thing I need. The owner really cares about the service he provides. I highly recommend over the other lawn care companies that water down their products. Delivered our sod and did an amazing job. Their sprinkler workers are always very helpful and proactive at finding possible issues.
Prompt service.. Courteous technicians. Fall clean up done well. Fall clean-up service costs way too much for a small Lansing property. It cost over $700 for 2 clean-up calls.

Stiles is a Great company. They have transformed my grass in 2 years. They have great products. I would highly recommend them.
The service tech left a note with the temp and the windspeed- I had never gotten that info from TruGreen, who last year tended to do my weed control services in pouring rain. I appreciate it!

Stiles provided a great plan and plant selection for my landscape project. Denny was great and listened to my wants for the plants (and even brought options for my selection) He kept me in the loop before the project started as weather put a delay to the start date. I was extremely happy with the crew that completed the work (demo to the finishing touches). Professional all the way! Perhaps I should consider a hardscape next.

I had started to build a paver patio on my own during the pandemic. I quickly got in over my head and called Stiles Landscaping. I needed it done before our sons graduation open house. These guys were able to pull it off. They even landscaped around the whole thing to really make it look amazing. The crew that came to our house every morning were friendly and professional. They were meticulous, making sure everything they did was just right. The final product is so much more than we imagined. I would hire these guys again in a heartbeat.

Confusing name! I went to a nearby nursery that sells amazing fruit, veggies, plants etc. Ive know it for decades by the name it displays on the sign outside. I normally pay cash. I bought an item for under $10.00 using my debit card as I didnt have cash at that moment. I bought a wreath stand to put on my sons grave site and needed to be there by a certain time and probably feeling emotional too. I made multiple purchases that day at various stores. A few days later I was checking my bank records on line and saw a pos by a name I didnt recognize. I panicked and thought Id been hacked. This was the same way a prior hack occurred several years earlier. Once I had it figured out the woman said...... Well theres a sign by the cash register telling you of the different name it would show up under on your charger. Went back and yes. Theres a maybe 2 1/2 inch long by 1/2 inch high paper taped to the side. Geez people. Maybe something a little more noticable so people dont freak out.
Ive had two experiences with this company and both were bad. I was directed toward the South Lansing branch because they were the only Stiles branch with the wood chips I needed. I got there an hour and a half before they were supposed to close and the door was locked. I caught someone on their way out and they told me that they closed early because there werent any customers. The second experience I had was ordering 10 yards of top soil from them. The top soil that was delivered was brown instead of black dirt, had giant clumps of clay in it, and I also found parts of a kitchen sink in the dirt. I went to Shaffers Landscape after this and got an incredible product, customer service, and a better price.

I had an okay experience a couple years ago buying a couple trailer loads of stack stone from Stiles Aurelius location. Today I needed half a yard or pea gravel for a repair job. I have a van, not a truck, so I wanted to fill buckets. The wouldnt sell the stone by the yard, but rather for $2/bucket. THATS $80/YARD for material they quote at $26 a yard. I bought my half-yard in buckets elsewhere for half of the yard price which was over 75% less than Stiles. Maybe you just need to be a big landscape contractor with a dump truck to do business here (though they never look all that busy), because they dont seem very concerned about selling small repair-size quantities of material.
