The work was done by a very professional team. Several of my neighbours commented on how considerate and polite they were not just to the neighbours but also to each other. They redid my patio which included a brick wall, brick ground cover, privacy fencing and all of the preleveling work that needed to be done before all the brick was laid. The final product is amazing!

I have worked with Higher Grounds on several projects for my construction company as well as my personal home. They were professional and delivered as per the expectations. I will be working more with them in the future!

Higher Ground did two projects for us, both were excellent. In 2020 we had our small backyard re-landscaped and were so impressed with the results, we had Mike and his crew replace our driveway and build us a front patio last year. Their attention to detail was fantastic. There were some issues with what the builder left under our 39-yr old driveway, but this was dealt with professionally. There was the expected unevenness from house settling and an annoying tree whose roots encroached on the work area. The project lead, Stephane, was more concerned than my wife and I about the tree, which was appreciated. He was careful and it is still doing well. As for our patio, there was a slight miscommunication about the area required that we resolved easily due to their excellent communications (in our experience with contractors, this is a welcome anomaly). The work Stephane and his crew did was excellent with the stone cuts precise and attractively done. These people take real pride in their work and it shows. Small repairs were done of their own volition, which was a pleasant surprise. Invoicing was problem-free and, despite being busy and all the supply challenges associated with the pandemic, Higher Ground did their best to accommodate our schedule. We need to have our work done in the summer and they delivered. Our experience with Higher Ground was excellent on both occasions. Their prices were reasonable and workmanship excellent.

This company removed material from our backyard as it was largely clay and was not able to drain properly. Mike was prompt in examining the problem and had a resolution quickly. Stephan and another employee completed the job quickly despite rain and wet and muddy ground. Prior to this work our yard was a muddy mess. Since it s completion the drainage is excellent. There is no longer standing water even after a torrential downpour and the mud is gone. We ve got our yard back. Stephan clearly knows what he is kdoing. He was very accommodating and professional. Thank you so very much!

Working with Mike and his team was seamless from quoting to completion. Keeping our budget in mind they delivered on every level. We especially enjoyed how considerate and clean they were while onsite and will definitely have them back to expand our backyard oasis soon.

After moving to north side of Panorama Ridge from Fraser Heights back in 2017 we decided on full re-landscaping of the 0.25 acre of a new to us property. In the process we dealt with two landscaping companies Swicks out of Richmond for our back yard in 2018 and Higher Ground for the front yard just recently as we were not comfortable giving Swicks more business; cant help but compare those two. We are pleased with the results provided by both companies, however we had much smoother and stress free experience with Higher Ground Landscaping. In our opinion the key to a much better experience with Higher Ground is the owners in person involvement throughout the process and his dedication to the job at hand and respect for timeline expectations. We felt Mike the owner was very approachable and easily reachable unlike Ron Swicks whom we saw once when he came out in person and basically completed the sale; he later was involved in email and phone communication to address our unhappiness with the number of things. In dealing with Mike of Higher Ground we felt the level of integrity was bar none which put us, customers, at ease, unlike with Swicks where I had to hoard all emails etc. for future reference. Here is an example: the Japanese maple per plan was not available and Mike brought a less mature replacement and explained to us pros and contras of a new plant, did not impose the new arrangement on us and assured us since new plant material was cheaper he will give us credit. As customers we would have never known had the switch of plant material occurred with no discussion; we appreciated the transparency. Every business wants more business and on that note I recommend to discuss with Mike big picture first and decide for yourselves which parts of this big picture you wish to execute now or stagger project out over a period of time. We went for a a clean not fussy design of our front yard with architectural support of alan block wall and low maintenance garden delivering consistent beauty through the seasons. We are pleased people notice and compliment on our front yard and are hopeful that some of these folks will decide to deal with Higher Ground based on our recommendation. Mike designed and installed three separate structures in our tiny yard, including some ornamental landscaping, a raised bed for gardening, and another bed for an apple tree, raspberries, and strawberries. Now a few years later, everything is filling out very nicely. He made great use of the space and put in plants that have done well for their spaces and light. Our landscape puts out different colours all season long, from tulips in the spring to black-eyed susans in the fall, with different grasses adding texture. The raspberries have been prolific from year 2, and this year the apples produced more than we can eat. Great output from our tiny space!

Mike and his team did a stunning job with our front yard. It finally looks like it belongs on our street! Thank you for an amazing job. You really helped us to flesh out our vision of what it should look like both during the day and at night.

Weve worked with Mike for over three years now, on major and small projects. Hopefully that, in and of itself, is a strong endorsement.
