Well worthwhile for them to put down mulch. Excellent lawn maintenance company trimming bushes, fertilizing, pest control and keeping lawn cut.

We called McGuire s and a couple of other companies after we were not happy with our current lawn care companies. I sent McGuire s an email at 4:40 pm one day for an estimate on maintaining our lawn and a representative was actually walking around our backyard by 9 am the next morning analyzing our lawn problems. I did not hear from the other two companies that I emailed for an estimate for a few days. We made the transition to McGuire s that morning and one month later we have seen a significant improvement in the quality of our lawn. We highly recommend McGuire s for all of your lawn maintenance needs.

I have been billed for multiple days when they never showed up. The previous reviewer is bang on accurate to say they are happy to blame the customer. I have brought service issues to their attention just to be told they re doing it when it s clearly not done. I ve now been threatened with collections. Stay away.

They Worked for a nearly blind man for two years. He can t see the yard or the plants. Sprayed dead plants out front and back for those two years. Knocked to say hi and receive the extra tip and waters but Never informed the man about the plants. They Sent an email to the neighbor but never informed the client with a phone call or by mail with the paper bill they send every month. Management was extremely rude and unprofessional. Acted like a child when reprimanded for their work. I m still waiting for the refund they promised to send for the six weeks of work paid for but not done. Horrible

This is the most unhonorable company I have ever used. We have been paying $163 a month for lawn care/fertilization. Our front yard was maintained but the back was clearly not given the same attention. We had new sod installed in a portion of our backyard in Feb 2023 and were told they knew how to handle new sod and they would make sure it was treated properly. In May/June we noticed the sod started to turn brown/yellow. We notified McGuire of the issue immediately and finally someone came out to notify us of having to adjust our watering and that they treated it. In July the lawn crew came to mow and my husband asked them if they could take care of the weeds we had growing in our new sod. To which they replied sure we can do that. I watched them outback with a spray pump and within 2 days the grass had large patches that completely killed the grass. We have been in contact with them about these issues and they looked into it. We were told that the lawn crew did not spray anything and that they dont even have spray pumps to carry around. So now I am a liar?? Why would I lie about something like this?? What an awful thing to do to a customer who has been paying you $163 a month to not even do the job properly. Several times they have had to come back because they couldnt even mow the grass properly. They would use a weed whacker instead of bringing the mower to the back. They would miss several spots, weeds in flower bed etc. They would come out after we put in a ticket but why would I even have to bother making sure the service I am paying for is done and done right? Ridiculous. I should have listened to the previous negative reviews. Now they want me to pay for KILLING my grass. Grass that I worked hard to pay for. Obviously they do not care. Especially when people will continue to pay these high amounts for a 10min half done job. I dont know what happened to customer service but it surely doesnt exist here. PLEASE TAKE YOUR SERVICE ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This company does not take responsibility and blame customers. My yard got worst after using this company- instead of getting better my yard was getting worse and worse. When I called them for the issue, they blame weather, irrigation, season blah blah blah...I would give ZERO star if I had option.

Our yard looks worse than when they started 6 months ago. Their services I cannot recommend at all. Poor servicing in all aspects of our yard.

Really high prices for the quality of work they do. Have to constantly follow up with them on areas besides mowing and edging. ( they charge more for added yard work)

This is the first time using McGuires. Mike and the irrigation team provided me a fast and accurate quote. When it came time for service, Mike and his team were on time and efficient. Mike went the extra mile to ensure my entire irrigation system was in good working order. He even assessed and fixed a sprinkler head that was not part of estimate (my oversight). 5-min fix. He clearly understands his customers needs and will use McGuires for future landscaping needs. Thank again Mike!

WORST PEOPLE EVER! DONT waste your time! They are money hungry. They broke our fence, and they broke our softener pipe and worst of all they are forcing unnecessary expenses despite our disapproval! DONT HIRE THEM!!!

Hired them to clean the roof, pool cage and driveway. The service was great from start to finish. The price was better than the rest and the results are amazing. We will definitely use their services again!

Thieves. Quoted $180/month for complete lawn care and $75/quarterly for pest control. They sent a bill for $185 for 11 days service and said thats how they prorate. Canceled service immediately upon recovery bill and the send a bill for over $215 that covers 4/19-5/5. Not even 1 month of services and its way higher than quoted. Called for service for roaches and they said to wait a week so they can come at their next service visit. Absolutely horrible company. Dont waste your time and money on this place.

Every month since we began using McGuires our lawn and shrubbery have improved. All the bare spots in the backyard have filled in. The lawn is lush and green. When we moved in some bushes were dying from mites, McGuires has saved them. We are very pleased with their services.

I ve had mcguires for 3 yrs. granted there have been issues but the have always been more the ready to correct anything that was wrong. My yard is by far one of the best looking yard in the neighborhood, think, dark green and always freshly cut. I have a drainage issue on the side of my house so I can t blame a company that cuts my yard for having tire tracks. The company is amazing and willing to help when they can. Past reviews are people just complaining about little things.

Update: After leaving this review, they finally followed through with an email. Called for a quote for a new home. Said they would be out there and will followup with email. Received nothing. Called them to see where things were at. They told me the sales person would send an email. Still nothing. I called back again. They then said they dont cut our type of grass(thats a first). We had to chase them down to even get an answer. They had zero follow through on anything.

We weren t too happy in the beginning but We had a new crew assigned to our home and noticed a BIG difference. Moe and his team do an excellent job!

I have two great crews working on my yard. Adrian was my crew leader and did a fantastic job. When he was promoted off the crew I was worried, but they put Cole on the crew and he is great. Very friendly and professional. Always concerned about if I am happy and if I am having any problems. My other McGuires service is fertilization. Carlos is out of this world. It seems that whenever I have an issue he is right on top of it. I feel that Carlos considers my plants as one of his family. If they are sick he nurses them back to health. My landscaping is looking great with McGuires.

Nothing but constant reminders to maintain one small oak tree in front lawn. Paying for full option lawn service that supposely includes tree trimming and weed control in flower beds among other things. Constantly complain about the weeds only to get a response that they will take care of it. My flower beds never looked so bad until now with them maintaining it. It is funny how their website describes how professional and detail oriented they are when it comes to lawn maintenace. If I only knew that I have to constantly complain about about things they should be taking care of I would of never agreed to the $$ they are charging me a month.

I asked to trim the New Growth from my Sage Tree and it wasnt done. I had to replace 20 sprinklers head with Donuts to protect them ?

I had them services for a couple months. Ive always reached out to them because the sprinklers were not cleaned, the bushes in the front yard were not cut properly, and there are leaves ( a thousand ) in the front yard and overall looks messy and not well done.

I would not recommend this company at all. Nothing but constant reminders to maintain yard. Constantly complain about the weeds only to get a response that they will take care of it. Constantly breaking sprinklers. My flower beds always had weeds in it. It is funny how their website describes how professional and detail oriented they are when it comes to lawn maintenace. If I only knew that I have to constantly complain about about things they should be taking care of I would have let them go long time ago. They are also demanding payments for not providing good service. I Called them to work it out but the response I got is -if you dont pay the invoice we will send it to collections. Seriously what kind of customer service is that.

The lawn maintenance is HORRIBLE our yard is full of clover and weeds. I contacted McGuires and was told they would send someone out that was over a month ago no one ever called or showed up. Their maintenance program is a total waste of money.

To provide some back ground, I usually take care of my own lawn but I was moving and didn t have the time to take care of it for a few months. In the time I used them, they showed up on the day scheduled and performed great service. They trimmed the palms and even cleaned up a small area that I had let go . Mine lawn looked better after they started taking care of it and I tend to be quite particular with it.

They charge $75 just to look at your sprinkler system. They said they dont deal with my grsss when I dont have grass, its all weeds. Thats why I called them in the first place. Then after all that they say Im outside theyre service area when they service my neighbors lawn directly across the street.

Stop & shop for all your outdoor needs mulch dirt rocks pine straw red mulch. Brown mulch we got it all

McGuires is great! I had a 30 ft. Washington palm (fan palm) that needed trimming and 2 stumps that needed grinding. They sent out their certified arborist to quote the work. Work was scheduled and performed quickly and all the debris was removed. Very clean and efficient. Would recommend to anyone. (I read a lot of these other posts, quick personal opinion: If you have dogs, its your responsibility to make sure they are put up when people are performing work in your yard, not the people doing the work. Its rude to make them work around your pet and they might be afraid of / get hurt by them.)

Though i have never had any work done by McGuires Landscape I want to review their integrity. They saw my lost dog early one morning and though she looked in need. Before it was over one of the ladies there thought to check facebook, while 2 of the men and one of their sons got into 2 different trucks and took their time and gas to look up and down the streets to help me find my dog Quoia. And one of them did and was able to coral her all the way back to me. I am so so gratefull for all their help. Thank you, Jim Cooper and family.

Mike came to our home in Pasco Trails last week to update our irrigation system and got it working on timers.It took two visits to get things done but he was professional and knowledgable and got everything working....thanks

I have called McGuires 4 times about the brown spots on my lawn and they have failed to call me back. I don t know what their problem is and am truly disappointed. I plan to look for another lawn service that responds to their customers.

I have had the worse experience with this company. I was with them for a year after putting brand new sod down and they assured me I would have lush st Augustine grass with them in the spring. This never happened, in fact the grass got worse. I have had many different techs and each visit they never indicated the brown dead grass/trouble areas after servicing. I have had to call in to try and get things resolved always getting the run around and after a year of them treating my grass only to get worse under their watch. I spoke to the supervisor Tim who essentially said I had bad soil and needed to re-sod AGAIN!! What did I pay for all this time? This supervisor then sent a tech out to fertilize and charged me for the visit even after I cancelled saying the visit was valid!! So he fertilized bad grass!! When I disputed this with the office they took numerous notes and no one called back but I got a bill this time with a late fee. I did not get what I signed up for, poor responsiveness and lack of care for the customer at all levels. Be aware doing business with them. If I could put 0 stars I would. Note: other reviews show that this looks like a pattern...

Had them for 4 years. My service was always good. Then in 2018 they made changes. Couldn t keep employees- they became Terrible! Never listened to my complaints, then had the nerve to tell me none of my issues were valid. Wouldn t recommend them to anyone. The 6 people I recommended to use their company have all left as well.

I have excellent services with these guys! The woman named Kate who works here is beautiful :) plus was so helpful with great customer service! DeAnn and Brittany were nice to talk to and very professional.

Awesome job 5 years coming

I used McGuires for almost 8 years. At the start they were great, my lawn was thick, green, and disease free. Other than the fact they would NEVER call ahead so I could put the dog door blocker on so the tech could spray the backyard. I called and emailed and did all I could and they would never call ahead and would still charge me for a full yard treatment, when 9/10 they never treated the back yard. I let it slide for so many years because of complacency and the fact the front yard looked good. Then over the last 6-8 months my yard started to degrade. The grass got thin, diseased, and infested. They tried to say it was from frost damage, yet the grass was dying MONTHS before winter. They even had the pics their technicians took at each application over 8 years that proved them wrong. And they still wouldnt make right and replace the 120sq ft area of grass that died. They sent out a sales rep (Scott) to look at my yard and he AGREED that they let my yard slip through the cracks and admitted his higher ups should replace it but that it would be up to them. They had to look into the yards history first. Well days later I never heard anything and they came out and sprayed what ever watered down placebo theyve been using and left...and lo and behold they didnt call ahead and never sprayed my backyard, this is after I called TWICE that week and told them to call before each treatment. I called them up, paid the bill, and fired them. I am DONE paying all that money for such bad service. This company has gone to the gutter and all my neighbors are starting to cancel them as well. Good riddance! *UPDATE: 4/3/18 I just received a call from Scott. They didnt like this review and were quite upset. They said I never gave them a chance to handle the situation. Yet I never received a call from management on what they would do with my dead lawn. They dropped the ball multiple times and are somehow shocked they received a bad review. I have 4K resolution home security camera footage dating back years. Maybe I should put together a 12 month time lapse of my yard dying under their care and upload to YouTube. Its the least I can do since they called to harass me over a review and when he raised his voice and got mouthy I hung up and wouldnt you know it they started texting me. Real professional! I have since hired Grass Monkey and hope they can revive my lawn. I will have them re-sod the dead area soon. Every situation with a company and customer is going to be different so your results may vary. Good or bad, this is what happened to us. Thanks.

Ive been using McGuires for several months now. They missed or not mowed our lawn several times recently, they keep saying that my day for service is Tuesday, yet the continue to not show up Tuesday and in some cases skip me all together. (I never get any kind of discount for missed services) Ive spoken with them regarding a need to call before as our gate is locked due to our dog. They said they would make sure to call a head but never do. I spoke to the girl in there office and confirmed that my property is scheduled for Tuesdays. Ive been taking Tuesdays off for a couple of months now so I can be here to let them in the yard and they show up sporadically. Last week they only showed up after I called and complained. Ive been home all day today and they no showed again. Im done with them and dont recommend anyone else use them either.

McGuires has serviced our yard for a year. We have found that management and tech staff have been nothing but professional and responsive when dealing with issues, concerns and questions about our lawn, trees and shrubs. Keeping a yard looking great in Florida can be a challenge, but so far, McGuires has passed that test. We would definitely recommend them!

Great company great equipment very efficient would recommend

Absolute garbage. It s impossible to get a hold of them when there s a problem. They send emails that are clearly cut and paste to make it seem like they do the job you are paying for, but it s obvious they don t do a thing. I had a service issue and the guy no-showed MORE THAN ONCE. We have brown spots, fungus, weeds and ants- after having weekly services for months to address these issues. Once they get you hooked they couldn t care less about your satisfaction. I wish I could attach pictures of my lawn, which was just laid during our new construction house in August.

This serviced my lawn for about 6 months prior to being terminated. Half of my background was almost dead due to the mowers cutting the grass so short it burnt up my yard. they obviously know they have an issue because they didnt even ask why I was canceling their services. I ended hiring a 16 yr old neighborhood kid to maintain the yard and a company to spray it. This combination brought my backyard back from the dead and kept green to this day. I would definitely look elsewhere for lawn care, unless your ok with a dead yard.

We have McGuire s lawn service for about 2 years now. We did drop them for about 5 months when we found another service. That didn t last long because the company went out of business. We pretty much have full service at 170 dollars a month. Here s my issues: they are terrible about returning phone calls, it s hard to get anyone on the phone when you call the office, we told them multiply times to close our gates and they forget, sometimes close but don t latch and sometimes leave them wide open, we have dogs in a gated community, they use a weed eater to trim are 4 little shrubs in front of the house, you have to tell them when your yard has a fungus or they won t treat, they don t always treat the ants like they should, they don t take very good care of the flower beds. I really thought for that kind of money they would do a pretty good job. Boy was I wrong! Looking for a new lawn service without all the issues if you know of one please let me know!

Great service. We recently had an issue when they switched their crew in our neighborhood. The manager had them come and personally apologize to us; he also financially corrected the issue and followed up. We are very happy with our service from McGuires!

Well in a first impression from their inital briefing and lawn work was good but later over time it tend to be a false sense of accomplishment and more about getting your money. It started with tearing up our side yard even when following their watering instructions. Second, they have damaged our back yard irrigation nozzle and not one but two phone calls with messages basically saying come out and repair what was damaged from the riding lawnmower with no return phone call for weeks until one faithful day they did call saying, sorry to hear that. Another round of their service has cause the same irrigation nozzle go missing causing that particular irrigation point to become an old faithful. Another phone call lead to unheard ears and money in their pockets. We finally went with another company, Green Gator, who was out at our neighbors house answering all of their questions and concerns because our neighbor was also using McGuires having similar problems. Dont go with McGuires if you value your house and lawn. They need to do their own maintenance starting with their crew, as in let go some of their workers due to lack of ethics.
