Fernhill Landscapes made us a fabulous patio! When we removed our deck, we found a complete and utter mess underneath. Fernhill demoed it, and created such a beautiful patio - so tidy and clean. Fernhill was the first to take note of our vision, ideas and needs for the project. Before meeting Doug and Mike we met with several contractors none of which ever provided ideas or a thorough proposal. We were told that they could do whatever we wanted, but never offered renderings, recommendations or solutions to the multiple needs and concerns for the project. Their flexibility in accommodating our likes and needs was superb. We could have never envisioned the project turning out the way it did without their design and expertise. We started wanting to repair a crumbling retaining wall and redoing a useless driveway. We ended up with a one-of-a-kind paver driveway, newly designed functional entrance and a carefully curated landscape second to none in our neighborhood. We were so pleased with the design that we decided to extend the project throughout the entire lot to include a new leveled side yard, new flagstone patio and landscaping. It is simply a work of art that blends seamlessly with our home’s architecture. Their attention to detail and unique customer service made a world of a difference.

Worth the wait!! Fernhill did our backyard pool patio and we couldn't be more thrilled with the final product. The design process was thorough and thoughtful and then we waited for install for a few months but it was so worth it. The install crew were awesome, professional, courteous, kept us updated on everything and were so easy to work with. The pavers are leveled properly for correct water runoff which was no small feat - and it just looks beautiful. Cannot wait to enjoy it for years to come!
My wife and I are ecstatic about the new outdoor space created by Fernhill Landscaping. "Fernhill" started the project by developing designs that we loved for our new patio, incorporating guest flow considerations from our existing deck onto the patio. Doug suggested enhancements that made our space exceptional with a low seating wall and an arbor for hanging baskets and our desire for a built-in outdoor grill. Doug laid out his vision for a furniture arrangement to help us envision how we might use the new spaces. Fernhill thought of everything, even how the patio surface should properly slope away from the house, the deck, the fixed grill and the new seating wall for proper drainage; with no puddling, during heavy rain events, which required complex slopes in multiple directions. We have had no issues during the fall's heavy rain events. We highly recommend Fernhill Landscaping for your hardscape desires, thanks again Doug and Brent!
From beginning to end, Fernhill Landscaping did an excellent job installing new pavers in my small urban backyard. Doug was prompt in evaluating my property, listening to what we wished to accomplish, and providing an estimate. Any calls or emails were promptly answered. Due to supply issues caused by the pandemic, there was a wait to have the project completed, but that was outside of Fernhill's control. Steven and Donny were exacting and precise in their work. Brent, who supervised the project, was readily available to answer any questions and concerns. We are very happy with the finished project and highly recommend Fernhill for landscaping projects.

We recently hired Doug to design a residential landscape for our home. With Dougs knowledge of plants and design, we were provided a multi-phase plan to suit our taste and budget. The color renderings provided along with plant photographs were very helpful in the design process. The installation was completed by a professional, friendly team who kept the site clean during the process. The entire Fernhill team was great to work with on our outdoor renovation. Two years ago Doug Myers designed our outdoor space including renovating the front gardens and walkway as well as redesigning our outdoor patio space. They completed the first phase in the front 2 years ago. Earlier this year we proceeded with the second phase for our patio renovation. We cannot be happier with the space that was created for us to relax on and enjoy! From the wall the materials that were used, lighting that was installed and the plants that were planted, it is so beautiful and eye capturing. The staff are so friendly and easy to work with. And despite some delays in materials that extended the project for a bit, everyone was so patient to make sure we had the results we wanted. My wife and I contacted Doug Myers at Fernhill Landscapes in the middle of the 2020 planting season for help in refining and completing a landscape project at our home in York. Over the next few weeks, Doug visited our home and met with us on several occasions, produced a detailed planting plan and cost estimate, and then revised both the plan and the estimate to include some additions and other changes we requested. Well before the end of the season, he deployed a team of landscapers to implement the plan by regrading several areas to eliminate difficult drainage problems and by installing a number of trees, shrubs, and perennials, which I believe are mostly native to this area and suited to our particular site. The landscapers who did the work were, without exception, knowledgeable, painstaking, solicitous, and friendly. All in all, my wife and I are extremely pleased with this project. We certainly hope to call on Doug and Fernhill to help us with the rest of our property in the future.
