Excellent healthy rolls of sod and customer service is the best !
They did a great job on our landscape project. We had them redo the landscaping around the house and install a patio with a pergola. It turned out beautiful and the staff at Friedges were wonderful to work with. Highly recommend!
We had Friedges replace our plastic PVC bed edging with Paver stone edging and also refresh our mulch. It was a large job and took a full two days. The crew showed up on time and worked long hours to get the job done. The crew used a combination of artistry and technical knowledge/experience to produce an outstanding result! Something else we appreciated is the cleanup they did. The process left a lot of dirt and mulch in the grass and on our driveway but by the time they were done you could hardly tell it was ever there. Other landscapers we have used for mulch left a mess that took me all day to clean up. The field sales reps were also great to work with as well as all the office staff. I highly recommend Friedges!
I went to Friedges originally for mulch, at the time I wasn’t sure if I was going to do rock or mulch but I invested in the mulch. Not a lot, 12 bags total. I opened two bags and decided I was going to go with rock instead. I went to return the mulch (the 10 remaining bags). I asked for help unloading my vehicle as I have a bad back. No one showed up so I unloaded it myself. No biggie. We normally do a lot of our shopping where they honor a military discount. When asked, we were told no, again no biggie, but when my husband said “we like to support companies that support the military” we were told “I don’t make the rules.” We get this often. But in all honesty their is another landscaping company that does honor a military discount and was about $20 cheaper a CY we could have saved about $30 total on this purchase ($90 total on entire purchase. We went back a few times for additional rock.) That’s a lot when you’re on a budget. The only reason we went to Friedges was because RockHard landscaping was closed this particular day.
Worked with Jim & Ryan on our projects and are very satisfied with the results. Ivan did a great job with building the rock wall, giving his feedback on what works, what looks good, ect. Had them create a whole new backyard and then come back and do all of our irrigation. Highly recommend.
Friedges completed our landscaping at our new home about a week ago. I would highly recommend. Jim Peterreins was excellent to work with. He was responsive, flexible, and a great resource for questions and ideas. The crew that installed the irrigation system, sod, and mulch beds (led by Samuel) was fantastic, and did great work. Overall, we are extremely satisfied, and we have already received compliments from our neighbors.
Totally W.O.W. awesome experience! 28 yards of bark delivered and installed in less than a day! The bark is great quality. Jim was great to work with...quoted a very fair price, called when he said he would call...the team showed up on the day and time agreed on! The team was fabulous! They were careful with existing plants, water features, river runs, evenly distributed a good layer of bark and cleaned up everything after. I highly recommend Friedges Landscape to anyone looking to have bark delivered and installed! Thank you :)
Very professional and informative right from the start. Jim answered every question we had and helped enormously with the layout and design of our patio. We are very pleased with the finished product and passersby often compliment us on the patio. We are located next to a city path. The installation was fast and complete. Ivan and the men that installed the patio added some excellent design touches that enhanced the visual appeal and really gave us much more than we expected. Thanks guys!

Wanted a quote on a wall. Jim said he would be out to look at it last week. Never showed up. Not a reliable company go elsewhere, and dont waste your time here.
Good service..
Picked up a yard of dirt on Saturday and a yard of mulch on Sunday. Ordering process over the phone went smooth and the drivers of the bobcats were quick and took special care not to bump into the truck when dumping the load.
Great quality products, helpful staff. My 3 year old loves going to watch the heavy equipment.
Great place for your landscape needs. My only complaint is that they are not open to public during this pandemic. So if you come to the store, you still have to call them with your order.

To many choices patios good prices
We have used Friedges for a number of landscaping projects over the years and couldnt be happier with their the work they have done. We will continue to use them for our projects going forward. Bonus points for their exceptional customer service, which is incredibly difficult to find these days. We have and will continue to recommend them to people we know when they have projects they need a landscaping company for.

It s such a shame that you guys hire people that are so unprofessional and inconsiderate that I even feel it s necessary to go out of my way now and write a bad review. I m a subcontractor that works along side with you guys day in and day out. Your employee come yelling and swearing at me because my truck was parked in-front of the lot being worked on and a dump truck needed to get in. But instead of nicely asking to move he resorts into swearing and yelling. If your company moved the two at the moment non occupied and yet still running on idle trucks and the trailer parked in-front of the same property we could of all just been able to co-work together, and I wouldn t of even had to move. You guys lost my business for good.

Landscaping done for ISD196 at Valley Middle School last fall is terrible. Trees that should grow to be 10 wide planted within 2 of each other. Young Maple trees planted literally underneath existing mature trees. All tagged with Friedges Landscaping. Wasted money and resources. Absolutely shameful.

We hired Friedges Landscaping to plant Arborvitae s around our deck. My wife and I are very happy with the outcome. They were very professional with great pricing and I would highly recommend Friedges for any landscaping projects.
The gardening soil sucked. It had plastic spoons, glass and full of rocks. Wouldnt use their gardening soil again.
We had an excellent experience working with Friedges Landscaping. After calling around to several companies in the area, Friedges returned our call promptly and answered all of our initial questions. We added landscaping to the front, sides, and back of our house, as well as a paved patio including a fire pit. Jim helped us with ideas for design and spent a a lot of time with us helping select materials, plants, etc. The crew was able to complete our project at its scheduled time and they did a fabulous job. Weve received many compliments from guests and neighbors asking who did our landscaping. Jim was always quick to respond to any question we had throughout the entire process. Our overall experience working with Friedges was great and we would highly recommend them for any landscaping needs.
Good prices on product but delivery fee is crazy. Paid more in delivery fee than I did for the product (and I literally live 3 blocks away from them on top of it.)
After speaking to no less than eight (8) different vendors, enter Friedges Landscaping & Jim. I knew from the first conversation with Jim on the phone, they were different. For starters, Jim was more thorough & informative than others. He drew up a landscape plan for us & provided a detailed quote. I found Friedges pricing to be extremely competitive. We ended up doing in-ground sprinklers & sod on about 1/3 acre lot. They did it right, trucking in fresh topsoil & throughly grading the lot. We added a 4 rock border around the house, and seven (7) blue spruce pine in the back - about 6 foot each. We also did a boulder wall & a nice manicured area in the front with plantings. Needless to say were extremely pleased with the whole experience. I would highly recommend Friedges!

I was very pleased with my experience with Friedges Landscaping recently. I needed help replacing trees and found Friedges through their involvement with a Farmington High School Hockey fundraiser. Jim returned my call promptly and treated my small job with a high level of professionalism. Ivans crew came out and did a great job--it was very obvious he and his crew enjoyed what they were doing. Best part is that everything was on-time and within budget. Thanks Friedges -- I love my new trees!
Friedges is working with our city to get an approval for a Planned Unit Development in my neighborhood. Our area is zoned Rural Residential - our wetlands offer a safe heaven for the wildlife, already displaced from many areas in the Twin Cities. Turtles, turkeys, owls, herons, deer, turkey vouchers and other precious wildlife finds refuge in our neighborhood. In order to maximize profits, Friedges is proposing an increase in unit density, bypassing compliance with regulations. They have not conducted any environmental impact studies on how development of a dozen of septic fields directly adjacent to the wetlands would affect the environment. While we would wholeheartedly welcome new neighbors, Friedges is clearly an incompetent and inadequate developer, who is looking to make a quick buck without considering long-term consequences to our cherished ecosystem.
