Have been trying to cancel this company s service for months now but they keep charging me. We have called to cancel 5 times now and gotten told okay but then a day later someone else comes out that we didn t ask for and they charge us again. Their system doesn t work, their company lacks communication, and I am now taking it to my bank to dispute all charges and block them from my account because I am sick and tired of being randomly charged $200 and being gaslit by their customer service telling me they will refund me and then never doing it and never actually cancelling the services. We have had to deal health issues and being out of work and more than once these times they ve charged us when it should have been cancelled has taken away our budget for gas and food and it s NOT WORTH IT. Our grass is dead, been dead the whole time, and I still have bugs everywhere and have sent them videos to prove it.

Called in to get a quote as a potential new customer, was helped by Mr. Thompson. After working through the call script and getting a price, I asked about service intervals. I then said Id like to think about it and may get a couple of bids, and was promptly hung up on. I mean I get it, reps want to make a sale NOW but thats just tacky.

Really lousy service had for 4 months weeds still present and they burned a large area in lawn.came out to fix but did nothing.now they want me to sign back up after I canceled so they can try again.what a joke.

Terrible customer service and borderline spam-like behavior by the sales reps. I requested a quote a few days before I left for vacation so that I could review all the cost/options from a couple companies when I got back. I have a .25 acre yard and Im trying to find a professional company to handle the weed and lawn care management moving forward. I received a call a day or two after I submitted the quote request and explained to the rep that Id be traveling out of the country for two weeks and Id review all the proposals and let them know when I got back. Then the NEXT DAY I get a call from a different TruGreen rep who tried to give me a hard sell and AGAIN I explained that Id review all proposals and to not call me again for two weeks. I leave for vacation and TruGreen proceeds to call and text me another 5 TIMES in two weeks. The cost of the data and international phone minutes I had to spend dealing with these people is going to cost me close to the cost of one month of lawn services! I finally after the 5th call from TruGreen told them to delete my name and info and stop spamming me with their hard sell calls. Companies like this must be making money from these hard sell tactics, or they wouldnt do them. My advice after reading more reviews from them is that TruGreen quality and reputation is spotty at best. Other people posted pictures of TruGreen trucks damaging their yards, with video proof, and TruGreen dragging their feet to fix the damage. There are lots of smaller, local companies and individuals who provide the same services TruGreen provides. Pick a different lawn care company who doesnt resort to high pressure sales tactics and will actually provide personalized service based on your needs.

TruGreen is an absolute joke they take advantage of people with the high price stuff they send out people who know nothing about lawns so just spray stuff on them willy-nilly that dont even know what theyre spraying on it or why theyre absolutely a waste of money do not waste your money on this company seriously My dad spent 500 bucks a year on this company and all he got for it was red thread and a dead lawn and they said there was nothing to do about it wasnt their fault yet its called TruGreen they dont even know what caused it they said it was all the stuff they said it was opposite of what it really was that caused it we had a true professional come out and he told us all about TruGreen Dont use them Total garbage did theyll just lie to you show up so fast and be gone so you cant talk to him their garbage.

Customer service sucks! Ive tried to get representative to get back to me on billing, as was charged more than what was quoted. 2 days and no answers. Finally reached out to corporate billing, the response was we will correct as a 1 time courtesy ! I wanted an explanation as to why I was not charged as quoted. Not a reason just a courtesy. And then what happens next visit. Now the guys that serviced were fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable and super nice to talk to. Unfortunately I cant recommend as you will probably get charged who knows what. I will be canceling and going to another company! The new company should hire Mike w tree and shrub, and Blake with lawns! Hats off to them, top notch! In this day and age your customer service has to be top notch and communicate! Fast forward a day and now I have several burned areas in my grass..called several times until finally got a return from service manager..he will be out tomorrow to look at damage. I have a graduation party at my house in 3 weeks! Furious! Fast forward again, 2 months later and my grass is still burned! Ive been patient while they tried to repair..first prepping and reseeding areas, 2nd spray painting burned areas..yes you read correctly! 3rd reseeding again! I am now getting bids from other companies for resodding to correct their mistakes...accidents happen, but 2 months with several areas of burned grass is NOT ok!

For over 20 yrs with the company and they pulled a bait and switch on me. Went from 5 services per year to a monthly services because of the fine print. Called and nothing like bad customer service to ruin the relationship. Adios! Go with someone else....

I m hoping that Trugreen applied a weed killer to my lawn. In the past , they said they applied weed killer with the fertilizer. I did not see any change. I have weeds everywhere, perhaps this time I will see weeds curl up.

I will give a low rating though to the TruGreen national call service, they made unacceptable errors on our original order and when I called them to get it straightened out, they messed it up even more. However, I then spoke to Josh, the local accounts manager and he got right on it getting everything all figured out and fine tuned correctly. Thank you Josh, Lance, and the LOCAL TruGreen team for getting everything worked out for us and committing to providing excellent customer service! Personal opinion, this company doesn t need an underperforming call center, leaving a sour first impression when the TruGreen local employees are so fantastic!

I decided to cancel my service with Tru Green. They called me and said I owed $167 and I said if so send me a bill and I will pay it. Rather than send me a bill they sent me to a collection company. First time in my life I have been sent to collection. No more Tru Green for me.

We used true green lawn care for about 8 months. It was truly a disappointment. Each time they came out they were here about 5 to 10 minutes. Sprayed our yard and left feedback on why our yard wasnt thriving. Even blamed it on dog urine and theres not a dog that lives near us or is ever in our yard. We spent somewhere around $1000 to have the worst looking yard in the neighborhood. I wanted to leave their little true green flag out to warn people not to use this service. After this experience we tore out all our patchy, brown grass and put down rocks. They will promise you the moon and do nothing but rip you off

I verbally signed up for help with my sick bushes. They offered good deals very sales oriented but you do get what you pay for. I decided to cancel ahead of my first service, because I was concerned about the problems with communication (e.g., you can t call the local office, etc.). They still came out and sprayed my bushes with a fungicide and insecticide. The bushes started drooping. I was charged. I called, and they claim they will back the charge out of my visa. I will never consider this company for any gardening needs again. Stay away, folks!

I entered my information online and immediately was called by a spam call center. She was rude and questioned why I would want a property visit before I comitted to a treatment plan.

Lawn is greener, but still so many weeds not killed by the last treatment.

They have been instrumental in helping eliminate weeds and moss and over seeding to fill in blanks left from moss and weeds being killed. They were able to achieve what I was unable to achieve on my own.

Raymond is excellent! He s friendly, efficient and very knowledgeable! ANDne pays attention to details - like closing our gates to keep the deer out!! We are grateful to have him as our service tech.

I ve had true green ChemLawn service now for just about a year, and I am completely unhappy with their inability to communicate. We have a gate that has been mentioned multiple times, and is in our notes on our profile, but for some reason any new employee can t seem to figure out how to get through the gate And cancel the appointment without even trying to contact us. When I call the customer service number they of course immediately tell me someone will be out the following week which in the three times this is happened they do not show up the following week and I have to call back and reschedule again , this is become extremely frustrating and I plan to look for a new company to service our yard. The call center just seems to tell you anything you want to hear to get you off the phone instead of rectifying the problem.

The treatment technician was thorough and knowledgeable.

When I first started my lawn needed some serious repair. I got an ad in the mail for TruGreen so I called them up and started a monthly program. The first three months I saw the technicians come out and fertilize the lawn. This was not helping the issues. I soon realized my lawn needed to be thatched. It also needed to be fertilized with some good soil. It also needed to be sewed with seeds in that fresh soil. I thought the true green technicians were going to assist in this or we re going to help provide information to do this, but I had to do all this on my own with plenty of my own research. I think I paid way too much money for the simple aeration and for the calcium. I asked the technicians when they came if they could help me with thatching the lawn and they told me that they do not do lawn maintenance they just fertilize. The use of the weed killer also was counter intuitive especially when techs would fertilize at the same time. My yard would be green with spots of yellow and brown. Overall, I give you guys a 3 stars. The service was minimal and careless at times. My doorbell camera catches everything. I probably won t use your service again, unless you guys offer MORE services for the right price. Lastly, please DO NOT advertise in my lawn.

Editing my post because they continue to call me to try to upsell me. I wish I could give a 0 star review. DO NOT USE TRUGREEN. They are completely unprofessional and I am confident they they have no real idea of what they are doing. Avoid them at all costs. They will only call you to upswell you and aren t actually interested in customizing your lawn care. My lawn looked worse than before I started service. Save your money people!

We signed up last week. We just have rocks in our backyard and just wanted the weeds taken care of. We specifically told the guy on the phone while we were signing up that we want NOTHING done in the front yard because that is take care of by our HOA. Well, someone just came to do our service. They ONLY did the front yard. They didnt even give us any type of notice that they were coming over today. When we called to cancel, the person said that they wont do any service if we dont have grass so the person lied to us. Definitely not happy.

The technician, Drew, seemed very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. It was the first application and I have already noticed the weeds in the yard starting to shrivel and die. I had hoped they would provide services to fill in bare spots (e.g., hydroseeding). So far I am very happy with the service!

I also would give zero stars if possible. Signed up for service at the end of June hoping to have our large yard in great shape for a wedding at the end of August. After only 2 service visits our yard is mostly dead and brown. Repeated calls go unanswered and emails to the corporate office are ignored. What a waste I can t believe this company is even in business. They are horrible !!! Run away . Save your yard

I like true green lawn service but the Aeration service is F+ horrible horrible, I called in Sept to add aeration service and no one called me back I had to call them I did get a date then had to cancel. If you want aeration for your lawn do not use true green Very sloppy customer service.

This company kept showing up and spraying their poison despite me telling them 3 times to stop coming to our house. The previous owners of our home had this service, and in spite of the fact that I told them they were not welcome, they still allowed employees to come on our property and there was nothing they could do. Horrible company.

The proof is in the pudding. Our lawn is the absolute best in our neighborhood.

They transformed our lawn a couple years ago. I have them quarterly. Always helpful friendly service guys that come out. They know lawn chemicals better than we do. Worth the money. I m having some weed type grass issues again and I know they will send someone out to check and advise as a part of our service agreement.

Dylan Sensabaugh went above and beyond to bring my lawn back to life. Hes incredible at what he does and hes a true expert in lawn & customer care. He also took the time to educate me on what he was doing and why, while also coaching me on how best to care for my lawn in between visits. My lawn has never looked so good, better than I could have ever imagined thanks to Dylans diligent work and the TruGreen product. Highly recommend!

We hired TruGreen to take some of the burden off of maintaining the lawn. Our lawn was in above average condition prior to signing up and has degraded over time with TruGreen. Were approaching summer where we should expect the lawn to look its best, but we have patches of dead/dying grass around the yard. I have zero confidence in their ability to properly manage the lawn treatments. I thought I was signing up for some peace of mind, but it has just been more hassle than anything else.

The Trugreen technicians who work in our large yard tailor their services to our environment. They know the specific plants and their seasonal needs. For example, the tree and shrub technician tells me how one set of trees is doing better than last year and why. They makes sure that the healthy plants stay that way and provides timely interventions for others. I receive feedback about what is going well in the yard and what needs more attention. Watering needs seem to be paramount this year.

We have services for our trees several times a year, misquote and insect care at least 3 times during the season.

I just had a bad experience with TruGreen technician who after my aeration was rescheduled because of dry weather wanted to reschedule again because of Halloween decorations along the sidewalk. Okay until you try to cancel. Ive called to cancel service three times, spoken with a rep and asked for my service to be canceled, but they continue to schedule service appointments that I have to keep canceling. Not sure what I have to do to get them to stop. Extremely frustrating and would not recommend.

Just had someone from this company come to our door in the middle of state mandated social isolation to advertise their services. Not happy!!

Your people are very efficient, on time, informed about the service they are performing. There are a variety of services one can avail to take care of various parts of our yard. The prepay option is very viable. You can also add additional services as desired.

They care about our lawn as much as we do, it is beautiful.

I called this company to inquire if it would be possible to have a one-time weed control application put down on my grass. The man who answered the phone rudely replied, Well, thats a terrible idea. I found this very offensive, as he was making many assumptions to conclude that Im so stupid. Of course putting down one application (versus getting onto a regular routine plan) isnt going to take care of a weed problem. But he didnt bother getting to know me or asking any questions - little did he know that we do all of our regular lawn maintenance ourselves and I was merely looking to outsource this one spring application. It amazes me when people in the service industry lack the most crucial ingredient - good customer service. How do their companies survive?

Working with Trugreen to explain their offerings and later make changes has been world class. Not only did the salesperson do a great job of patiently walking me through my choices, but the next day I was called by someone to double-check that I was comfortable with my choices. Then I downloaded a mobile app that made communication super easy. It makes it easy to see what is scheduled and what other options are always available to me. When Michael, my service provider arrived, we talked like we had been friends for years. He helped me understand how things would work and gave me advice when I asked. As a result I believe my lawn will become the best it can be, and I love working with this company.

Seems to be getting greener. And healthier.

True Green has been very responsive to any of my concerns and has been willing to come out within a week to take corrective action. My neighbors indicate thate I have the best looking lawn on the block.

This is the worst lawn service I have ever used. From being told we were going to get a discount by the sales guy and then told no by their billing department, then more billing issues, being misled on services when specifically asked, horrible customer service. I dont how this company is getting good reviews but I will never use them or recommend them again.

TruGreens employees ou yes are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with! I often dont trust alot of companies, but TruGreen has my support whole heartedly!

Great service above and beyond what I expected.

I just observed this local Tru Green service applying mosquito pesticide to the neighbors blooming flowers and baskets. This is incredibly harmful to pollinators and good mosquito control practice involves not spraying flowers, and not spraying during the daytime---to protect honeybees and butterflies. Remember, not only mosquitoes die from pesticides. Use mosquito dunks and repellents instead if you want to help the environment.

I like that they call a day or two before coming out to our residence. We know they are coming, and they do a very good job. They will talk and listen to you if you have any concerns, or requests. They have always been very friendly and nice to deal with. I guess if I had one thing Id like to see, it would be I wish theyd put the fertilizer on a bit heavier. Thank you TruGreen for doing a good job.

Weve been trying to cancel their service for over a month now. We keep calling to cancel, they say its canceled but then they show up again later anyway and charge us anyway. Id rather avoid getting legal action involved, but come third strike we will.

I have spent thousands of dollars over the past few years using TruGreen. I feel that the company does try to meet its stated support, but I have been perpetually disappointed with poor results. Despite weed control spraying, we seem to always have weeds in the lawn. TruGreen always acknowledges that this shouldnt happen and will often send someone out to respray but the resutls are always just okay (certainly better than no service, but not the advertised beautiful lawn they promote.)

All Technicians seem knowledgeable and seem to really care. John Hiddemen was great today and took some extra time to look at a tree and discuss it with me.

This company, only wants your money! ..... if, you speak to Sieth,Chris, or any other sale associate. The will talk you into circles, until you buy a service. Its part of their sale technique. Plus, they only spray chemicals on your brushes and lawn.

We hired them to aerate and over seed APRIL OF LAST YEAR. They did that, and it was fine. This May, just yesterday, they came while I was out and performed the same service and then charged our debit card 380 dollars. We never signed up for a recurring service. I cant believe that a company would do something so underhanded. WE NEVER AGREED TO A RECURRING SERVICE. WE NEVER SIGNED UP FOR A RECURRING SERVICE. WE NEVER GAVE PERMISSION FOR OUR DEBIT CARD TO BE CHARGED IN A RECURRING MANNER. How dare they trespass onto our property and then charge us for it. It is unbelievable. Do not use this company.

Hello everyone! Are you looking to get some landscaping done? Looking for a company that will schedule appointments with you and not show up? Then look no further! Trugreen landscaping is your one stop shop for No-Shows! Ive used this company for multiple projects and not once have they showed up when they say they are going to. Always having to reschedule and wait weeks on top of weeks. So annoying/inconvienent. If you like them great, but I personally and honestly would not recommend this company to anyone due to how unprofessional they are. I get showing up once or twice but every time? Cmon now.

My last and final application of the year went pretty well. My technician, Matthew Jimenez, has always been great to work with. He takes the time to talk with me about what is going on in my yard and answer any questions I may have. Also giving me great suggestions. I hope 2018 is as great and green and the technicians are as helpful and kind as was for 2017.

My yard was nearly over-run with a variety of weeds. Wihnin a year the weeds have nearly disappeared; just some moss remains. The yard looks healthy and green! Thanks, Tim Johnson.

Totally misleading and over priced. Dont do the aration/overseeding total rip off. $742 for an hours worth of work. And didnt lay mulch over the reseeded area. Thats the customers job they said.. Unreal.. The MGR, Very poor customer service.

CAUTION - I have used True Green in other states for residential and business purposes with no issues. The branch in LO has issues. No matter who you speak to, the service doesnt improve. There were many excuses for not showing up when scheduled for weeks, yet no clear solution. Discounts on the next service are offered but dont solve the immediate problem. Once I read other reviews I realized it was not just me.

Be very cautious before using this companys service. We had problems from the day that we started with the sales guy on the phone until now. We are still trying to get the full refund that has been promised to us and after a third attempt we pray that it finally goes through. They promise that if after they spray for weeds you still find more weeds after 10days to give them a call and they will at no cost to us come out right away and spray again. NOT TRUE ! We did call after the ten days and still almost 3 weeks after that, no one came out. They would schedule and then we would get an automated call saying it had been rescheduled. After about 4 or 5 times of the rescheduling, not because of the weather, we said we have had enough and we no longer wish to use the company. We did get a few nice people on the phone in customer care, however the things they promised did not happen. I think it is poor communication between the national customer care team and the local office. You cant get through to the local office, which I think would have helped, you have to deal at the national level. So many other things happened that were not good, but I wont go into more details as I think you get what I am trying to say. Overall I rated this a one because I did get a few nice people on the phone and I cant rate a zero. I am sad because I really wanted a nice lawn. Victoria

I am always informed when service is to performed, the service rep checks with me about problems I may be having, lets me know what will done on that visits. He also advises what I can do to help keep all my greenery healthy. Thanks to all of the Trugreen staff.

Be Careful, These guys quoted me one price and charged another-paid 300.00 dollars in the first 6 weeks with them and they didnt even do all the work they charged me for. They got no authorization for the services they did. The customer service was also horrible. when I questioned them on it they didnt even really try to rectify the problem. Would not recommend them at all.

I get a reminder call and the next day the specialist arrives. He is fast and efficient. And he always leaves a lawn flag to show he has been here. The receipt in the door hanger is good, too.

I have been very pleased with the services you have provided me. My lawn is looking better all the time and your staff is always professional and courteous. I have recently noticed that my lawn is showing signs of needing fertilizer as there is some pink snow mold showing up. Not sure when our next visit is scheduled but it must be soon.
