Gouging -$100-120 for clearing snow from small driveway. Response: According to Google map, I’m 8 minutes from you so I don’t see how or why distance is an issue for a snow removal service. If you only have a 5 minute radius, you should have mentioned it in your advertisement. I called you mid-afternoon. You said you couldn’t get to me until the next day @6:00 a.m., and I was fine with that, so clearly you had the time even with your regular customers. You were just taking advantage of the desperate situation that I found myself in as my snowblower malfunctioned and I was forced to call for emergency service. Thank GOD two neighborhood teenagers undercut you, substantially, charging $50.00, and I added a $10 tip because they did an excellent job, including sidewalks. And it took them about 35 minutes with a snowblower and shovel. To add, they were conscientious enough to call back the next day and offer to clear any snow drift for only $20 and put down salt if I had any at no additional cost. They made an additional $20 + $10.00 tip. So, basically, I got same day service, two days worth of snow removal for 70.00, (minus tips) in the same winds that you mentioned probably a little stronger because I’m off a small lake, for your $100-$120, 6am, next day service. And we both know that the $100-120 quote would have been a solid $120 when it was all said and done, then you would have expected a tip. Gouging is the flavor of the day in this country. So, just own it.
We started up with Preferred Landcare for this season and they do quality work. Mowing, edging and cleanup is great every time. We love the baseball field style mowing pattern that they do with their mowers also. Above all, they are very communicative and will let their customers know if there may be any type of delay they are facing (excessive rain for example as we've been having the past week or so), and that goes a long way. Highly recommend!
I have worked with this company for three years. I find them to be very professional courteous and helpful. They are willing to adjust their schedules to meet FAMILY needs and holidays. Their prices are appropriate and reasonable. They offer solutions and suggestions for each season to make your yard look better and better. Melissa and her team are very courteous kind and just generally good people. I recommend you contact and contract with them.

We have been looking for a company who not only cuts our grass, but leaves our grass looking like a masterpiece! I don’t like my grass clipping in the cracks or in my flower beds... I NEVER ever see grass clippings anywhere. They do such a great job cleaning up! Their weekly lawn cuts are spot on!! Their fall clean ups are amazing. They clear everything out of your yard! I’m so impressed with their services I’ve decided to use them to do our mulch this year<3 Thank you Melissa and Gary for always taking such great care of us. We look forward to many more years of doing business with you guys!

I have been with preferred lawn care for last two years for mowing service , recently I was struggling with weed problem in my garden and I reached out to them and they were very proactive and squeezed me in no time and did a wonderful job by removing all the weeds and now my garden has a new elegant look . I recommend them ..

Doing a great job taking care of my home
Horrible company. Paid $40 for snow removal of my driveway. 24 hours later its still not done. Call there and they tell me the driver said it was done instead of telling the truth n saying that they re just unprofessional and they forgot. Never use this horrible company. And they charge $20 extra just for salt
We do not personelly use this company for snow removal but they plowed our cul-de-sac while working at a neighbors home. They cleaned up the mess made by Oakland County plow truck. A big thank-you!

We have used this company for about 9 years now. They service our home and our rd. uses them all year long. We have been extremely happy with them. We have 8 acres of land that they stripe like a golf course. I highly recommend them!

We have had a wonderful experience with Preferred. They are super responsive and do a high quality job, I would most definitely recommend them for lawn care and snow removal. Even with the goofy MI weather they kept us informed on clean ups and schedule changes as needed.
They were quick to respond with an estimate when I contacted them about spring cleanup. The clean up was a great job - our yard went from the worst lawn on the block to the best!
Preferred Landcare just finished trimming, weeding, mulching and edging our landscaping. They did an excellent job! Everything looks perfect! We also hired them to do our weekly mowing this year and are very happy with their service.

DO NOT EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY! THEY DONT DO THEIR JOBS! I have been in touch with them constantly since last night asking when they would remove our snow and they never bothered to inform me that they wont! This morning, when I called again, they said they wont come out. I repeated told them that the snow is turning into ice and asked about their plans - they assured me that it would be cleared. We couldnt go to work this morning as we could not risk skidding with our 1 year old child in the car. we are stuck now with a foot of ice in our driveway!

They never finished the job. They showed up late in the morning and left before the job was complete. Do not hire this company, and most of all, do not pre-pay them like we made the mistake of doing.

I have used Preferred Landcare for myself (6 acres w/minimal plant maintenance) and my parents have used them as well (3/4 acre w/moderate plant maintenance) for the past 3 years. They are reasonably priced and provide quality services. They are friendly and I always feel that my best interest is at heart with any recommendations that they have.
