I have never had True Greens service, however they have put signs on my house multiple times, blatantly ignoring my no soliciting sign. Additionally, the people they hire can not drive. I encountered two drivers today, one who came to a complete stop to change lanes with no regard for traffic, almost causing a serious accident, and another on his phone while a light changed from red to green, causing a delay in traffic.

They never performed the tasks I paid for up front. My wife works from home and saw only one technician go into the backyard in all of the treatments we paid for. I called the office several times, but oddly the manager was never in. I left my name and number, and was assured that they would call back. It never happened. I came home one day and saw dirt plugs in my driveway and thought excellent! They aerated the yard! Nope. They only dropped a bunch of plugs in my driveway and left. I did not see one plug anywhere in the yard. Again I called and, strangely, no manager was around. I asked for a full refund and was told they do not do that. I asked for a technician to come out and perform the tasks I had paid for, and was told only a manager could make that arrangement, so I left my name and number. No calls back. I would love to the services I paid for!

Would be 0 stars if that was possible. I called to order lawn treatment. The salesman Tyler signed me up for early pay instead of pay as you go like I requested. The next morning they took $2,679 from my bank account. I called within 2 hours of the charge and was told it would take 5 to 7 days to get a refund. One one of several occasions calling customer service I was told it was not possible to speak to a supervisor. I was told they would notify the supervisor and they would be back to me in 1 to 2 business days. Next day the supervisor calls from an unknown number, which my phone makes silent, she leaves a voice with no return number and states it would be 7 to 10 days for a refund. This is a terrible organization from every aspect from sales to customer service! Do not use them.

The yard tech are great but after 2 years the yard is still full of weeds and mushrooms and dandelions not worth the money. And for pest control thats a joke they dont do what they said they are going to do when you sign up for it not what they say

he covered the entire yard, and in the fenced where I asked him to. My concern is the skidmarks where he tore up grass. I don t know if that always happens when they aerate or not. But there are several spots where he tore up grass.

After 4 treatments this summer Ive seen absolutely no reduction in weeds in my lawn thus far. Its a total waste of money if you still have to fertilize and spray for weeds after they finish their so called treatment.

Their work on my yard is great. Once you sign up, the amount of marketing calls received for other services is unbearable.

My service man (Theodore) walked the yard with me to ensure he serviced the right area, as we have construction happening in a portion of the yard. He was very polite and personable, and he did a great and timely job. We even talked about my family s recent vacation.

I liked their service on my two acres but am being screwed on my home in town. Watched on cameras not do a full service. I suspected after the first time but couldn t prove it. Now I have video evidence. Yep. Done with that

They dilute their lawn applications so the weeds don t die and It s not fertilized well. I switched to Shades of Green (after asking the guy with the best lawn in my neighborhood what he used) and the difference is night and day.

I was extremely happy every time Caitlin would come out to spray for mosquitoes around my property. She took the time and effort to make sure every inch of my property was taken care of period also she would always stop to make sure that all the animals were inside time period she did a great job and my family could enjoy our property without being chased inside all throughout the day

If I could give you a zero, I would because you don t even deserve a one star! I pre-paid for the entire year in February 2021. TruGreen made my yard look TERRIBLE! In October 2021, I received an email that my debit card expired and they wouldn t come apply my final treatment until the CC information was updated in their system. If you recall, I had already pre-paid for the entire year, so this should have been my first red flag. I called to inquire about a full refund since my yard looked so bad, but found out they would only refund a partial amount which was less than the last full treatment. I said, forget about it and updated my card information so they would come do the final treatment. After they left, I called and asked TruGreen to cancel my account and put me on their Do Not Contact list for this year. Fast forward to March 2022, they came back and applied a treatment without asking, which was trespassing and pulled $50.98 out of my account without consent. This is DOUBLE what I paid per treatment last year, so how is this legal? I ve gotten the run around for over a week from multiple people and STILL haven t received a refund. DO NOT USE this company! They are a total scam and waste of money!

We have used True green in the past and had no problems really up until today. There was a young guy probably in training trying to spray our yard and the guy who was supposed to train him sat in the truck the whole time texting.. this trainee,He missed many sections and also broke 1 of My new solar lights! trainee, also had no regards from floor as the hose pretty light went right thru my well kept flower beds! I thought I was paying for great service but now I am quite upset!

My yard had been completely taken over by dandelions and other broadleaf weeds. TruGreem Lawn Care has already made a big difference in my yard after only 3 applications. I can hardly wait to see my yard come Spring of next year.

Paid up front. Didn t follow services paid for. Had cameras. Called management. Refused refund. Mgmt never came to house to see yard. Gave excuses. Denied management response to call me after repeated attempts. Customer service emails stated management denied refund. Kept sending service staff to home who didn t complete the whole yard with excuses even with camera footage of proof. Will never use again and would not recommend a service that does not give what you pay for, takes your money up front and doesn t follow through, and refuses to make it right. Don t use this company. I have proof. They wouldn t accept it. Would print tickets before completed, here 4-5 minutes and done, Included sitting in vehicle, wouldn t go Into the unlocked back yard. Customer service notes and those sent do not communicate or read the notes. Update as requested after speaking with Truegreen: after I left the review I received a contact to attempt to resolve. I was offered 1/2 my money back which I received. It was also discussed that the issues I discussed would be worked through with personnel. It was also discovered that management had noted I refused management to come to my house to see the yard after refusing the refund from same management and requested the managers boss to call me which never happened. Overall the attempt to resolve was made by offering 1/2 my money back. Still would not recommend the services or the personnel or the management.

We love TruGreen, our yard was filed with bare spots and weeds when we moved in. Two summers later it is thick and lush and weed free. They also treated our yard for mosquitoes since we are surrounded by trees. Since then we haven t seen one mosquito.

My husband talked to someone in marketing team and he made it clear that he needs consultation with someone before he wants any service. Guess what, couple of days after, we cmae back from work and one of their people came when none of us were at home and without any consultation/permission they put fertilizer in front yard sod which we never ask. We specifically wanted service for our backyard but they didnt even touch that. Their phone service is not even that great either.

We reached out to Trugreen due to an infestation of earwigs in our yard and in our home. After a 45 minute phone consultation with a call center, they found what we needed to fix our problem. We were told to expect a text before service, but have never been able to speak to anyone local. The text came, the service provided, and the bugs remained. All of the follow up documentation was about what to expect with mosquitos, which we never had. A week or so later we called customer service to cancel. After a huge spiel about the service, they wanted to repeat the application but we insisted we still wanted to cancel. 2 weeks later they reapplied, and we still had bugs. A couple of weeks later we find a sign on our porch that they had sprayed yet again... no text this time. I call to complain and the service rep sees nothing about a cancelation but can offer a discount on this service before canceling. I am so over this telemarketing lawn care company!!! There Is a total lack of ethics and customer service. Stay away!

They have the absolute WORST customer service EVER!!!! We paid for a year s worth of services and they automatically renewed it and charged our account without calling us to confirm that we wanted to keep on using their services. Well, my husband calls them to tell them we no longer want their services and the lady starts pestering him about who is gonna take care of our lawn and so my husband tells her that he will do it himself and then she starts asking where does he think he s gonna get his supplies at home depot?? She asks. So, at this point my husband is tired of her million questions and attitude so he proceeds to tell her he has things to do and doesn t want their services any longer so to stop taking up his time and just cancel all services and she begins to sigh and moan and says to him OH MY GOD FINE THEN!!! then the customer rep who helped him was also trying to convince him to keep using his services by offering a MUCH lower price and my husband said NO! Who are these people?! So unprofessional!!!!

I had three technicians come and service the yard. The fourth DID treat the complete yard and took pictures. Apologized profusely. Each only completed part of the yard! I asked for my money back. No go. Do not waste your money!

Called on a weekend and they were out within the week!! My lawn looks beautiful already! The weeds curled so quickly. Usually after mowing the weeds were back the next day but not this time!! Very pleased!!

Very unprofessional. Kept banging on my glass door LOUDLY for five minutes even though I PURPOSELY had no interest in it. When I answered and told them I had no interest in pest control, he kept going on and on about it.

I called to have the misqetoe treatment done to my yard because we cannot go out side with out being bit constantly, they scheduled my first appt a week after on Friday between 1 and 6 last week they literally just looked around my front porch did not service my property what so ever. I called trugreen immediately 2:40 after the employee left and they apologized and told me they would get the tech back out that day well no one showed by 5 pm, so I called back and was told they didnt have time! So once again I rescheduled for them to come out on Monday between 1-6 once again I got a text saying they canceled my appointment and I needed to call and reschedule I called immediately and was told that there was nothing in the report as to why they canceled but I could reschedule yet again so I did for Wednesday between 1-6 i get a text again at 3:27 pm stating I needed to reschedule my appointment yet again once again was told that there was no reason in the report as to why they canceled yet once again! I asked for a refund and to have my account closed due to all of this and was told they would have a manager call me im not holding my breath. Use someone else they definitely do not value their customers.

Worry free lawn care that uses the means of controlling weeds and pests.

I had Scotts before TruGreen bought them out. Service went down, quality went down, and prices went up. After two emails to the customer service website, my final questions about over-billing were not answered and they never answered why I wasnt winterized. Now Im dealing with them thinking I am still a customer and have been on hold for 20 minutes to cancel services...again.

I hired them because they guaranteed that they could control the weeds in my yard. Their guarantee consists of coming back more frequently. That still has not helped. I have more weeds than when they started their applications.

these people are con artists, order a year plan and they come the day after my year ended, so they charged me and then when i told them this is a scam they send me to collections for not paying it. The spray they use doesnt even work, still got ate up by bugs.

TruGreen has been very good to work with to manage my lawn care.

The employees will knock on your door asking you to sign up when you already use their services. Which could be an honest mistake, but they will also tell you the specific day theyd be coming out, reschedule, then never show up, and never be heard from again until they come knocking on your door again asking you to sign up. Theyve really gone down hill this year with their customer service and I wont be using much longer.

Called today and the background noise in the call center was so loud that it was difficult to hear the representative. Very distracting. My question was answered, however, would appreciate an experience without the background noise.

We have used TruGreen off and on for several years and I have no idea why we keep going back. They never seem to be able to get rid of the weeds(they never get the crabgrass or clover) or the nutsedge. They blame it on many things, one our lawn being too thin but they were unable to kill it even when it was thick. Honestly they just want to charge me for more services. Why would I even consider given they cant perform the simple task of killing weeds. My husband bought some weed stop for lawns and did their job for them. Somehow Lowes or Walmart sell stuff to kill it but TruGreen doesnt? Dont waste your money. Get someone else. We will be going with someone else going forward. After many years of hitting our head against the wall we are finally DONE with TruGreen. Here are some pictures of their work. Half of our back yard was nutsdege and when we talked to a manager all we got was the run around, even after we told him they applied the weed killer the same day we had rain. For all I know it was raining when they applied it.

We used Scotts lawn care company for a time prior to them being bought out by TruGreen, and we were pleased with the service and detailed attention from our rep w/re: to our lawn concerns and questions (thin growth, eradicating Creepy Charlie, etc). When TruGreen took over, the service was less interactive and continued concerns with the aforementioned topics went unresolved. We did not feel our lawn looked like a lawn care company lawn; but given time constraints in doing the work ourselves, we continued to use TruGreen. During the timeframe suggested for Fall aerating and overseeding that we have followed successfully for many years, we inquired with TruGreen on their costs for aerating our yard. We were placed on their schedule and my husband took the following day off of work to get the overseeding done. On the day of scheduling, the TruGreen aerator truck/trailer pulled up in front of our home and sat in the truck for several minutes, then proceeded to move the truck/trailer further along the street in front of our home for another several minutes to sit again. I noticed it leaving and assumed it was heading to our side load driveway for easier access to our yard. After several minutes of not hearing anything, I stopped my activity to check on them. TruGreen was nowhere to be seen. Upon calling them, my husband was told that we were taken off the schedule but the rep would be calling to reschedule. My husband explained that he had taken a day off of work for the following day and needed it done this day as planned/scheduled. The rep never contacted us for rescheduling after two inquiries; but we did receive a random call several days later advising us of a day the following week that we were now scheduled...weather permitting. Naturally, rain was in the forecast for that particular day. We requested to be bumped up due to weather forecasting and given the inconvenience wed been subjected to. TruGreen would not oblige. We cancelled the planned aeration and our monthly service with this company for this reason. Leopard Landscaping double aerated the yard for the same cost as TruGreens single aerate the day of our phonecall to them, and we are considering other monthly service companies (vs. assuming the work ourselves). We cannot recommend TruGreen for lawn care.

I am very well pleased with TruGreen in every way. Always courteous, smiling and helpful. It changed my lawn forever. The dandelions are GONE. and in spite of this years weather, I know that my lawn is 100% better than it was before TruGreen.

True Green Lafayette leaves much to be desired. I signed up for their services because my travel schedule makes it difficult to maintain my own lawn. After I switched, my lawn looked worse than when I did it myself. The technician told me it will take 2-3 years to see results. Ive stuck with them for 3 years, and my lawn looks worse than ever. My yard developed brown spots, and it took 3 weeks to get a technician out to my house to find out what was wrong. Despite my following their instructions, those spots have never recovered (its been over a year), and I still have weeds in portions of my lawn. They applied the latest fertilization application during a 2-week drought with high temps, and a portion of my lawn developed developed smut fungus as a result of too much nitrogen in dry, hot weather. That portion of the lawn completely died, and Ill have to either re-sod or re-seed from scratch. I called to complain, and the customer service representative didnt even visit my house to look--just told me to keep mowing, and it would be fine. But dead grass doesnt grow back. Very disappointing customer service. I am going back to fertilizing my own lawn.

I called them to start a plan, then i wanted to wait til spring came around again to start before i got the plan. The next days i get non stop calls from them. I told them to quit calling and you have lost me, in short im not getting there plan

I did not get to meet the person who last worked on my lawn, and he failed to leave information of what he had done; however, I explained this to the gentleman who called about aerating and seeding the lawn and as a result I received the report today in the mail regarding that lawn work.

If at any time I am not satisfied with the work that is done and I call and let Trugreen know, they send a man out within a day or two and make the work completed to my satisfaction.

TruGreen was taking care of a neighbors lawn when they saw me outside putting fertilizer on my own. They stopped by and introduced themselves, told me about the services they offer, and I went ahead and had them treat my yard. That was only one week ago, and I am already thrilled with the results. My yard is dark green, with not one single weed popping up. Next year I will be doing the aeration and overseeding. The technicians were upfront, friendly, and did great work. Thanks!

Be careful when you sign any contract with them. Verbally they say one year contract and in fine print it will be three years.

My last visit from a TruGreen technician was the delivery of 100 lbs of sidewalk salt. The man who delivered it was very friendly and helpful. He put the salt in my garage, in the spot that I had prepared for it, and he even opened the plastic drum for me, because it required very strong hands and fingers to open it, which he possessed, and I do not.

We have used TruGreen for the past four summers in Lafayette, IN, and we have always had one of the best-looking lawns we could have hoped for. We have been very pleased with their service. We stopped using them this summer in order to try to save money and take care of our yard on our own, and let me tell you...we have not done a great job. We may have to bite the bullet and call them to get our lawn back to the healthy state they left it in!
