In May of 2021 I called Shades of Green after getting a referral from a neighbor. My yard was about 10% grass, 20% bare spots, and 70% weeds. It looked horrible. The rest of the lawns on my court were thick and green. I decided to sign up for a monthly service that included a series of treatments throughout the year. I knew it would be a process to get my yard to be where I wanted it to be. I saw a noticeable difference by late summer/early fall. The weeds were going away, bare spots were filling in, and the grass was getting greener (with some watering of course). Yesterday I mowed my lawn for the first time in 2022. In 11 months, I now have the one of the nicest looking lawns in the neighborhood. I highly recommend Shades of Green. I am pleased not only with the results, but the quality of service and professionalism throughout the past year. They always provided me with tips and tricks for MY LAWN specifically based on what they noticed during from that service. 100% 5 star experience.

I have had them doing my yard for about three years , this year I asked about mulching, they offer this service and the team led by Jason came and exceeded my expectations!!! I have used the Shades of Green services for many years at our business in Lafayette. We have 52 acres and they really turned our property into some of the most beautiful land in the county with their services! When my husband and I bought our house this year, I immediately knew that I wanted Shades of Green to work on our new yard. The yard wasnt well cared for, was bare in some places, and had no weed control. I love that they offer a monthly payment plan and let me know the day prior to service so I can unlock the gate and make sure the dog stays inside. Lori in the office is very organized and I have enjoyed working with her over the years, she is quick to respond and so knowledgeable when I have questions about the services. The techs that come on site are very efficient and knowledgeable, as well. I am already getting compliments from my neighbors seeing the changes in our yard, so I cant imagine what it will look like this time next year! I would never use anyone but Shades of Green at my personal home or my business... they are truly the best at what they do and use high quality products that WORK!

Well, this is my second year with them and I want everyone to know I completely recommend Shades of Green! In just a year they made it look so well. For starters They have the best seed for your lawn...it will probably grow grass on concrete. Once They had forgotten to spray behind my fence for weeds and when I called they were very apologetic and took care of it that day. Shades is very accessible and will be very happy to hear from you. The owner has been to my house to meet me while they were on the job just to say hi and make sure I was satisfied with their work...honestly who does that anymore. They re the only ones who remember to close the gate so the dog doesn t get out. Basically I ve been through 5 other companies and none of them did the quality of work,for a cheaper price, and made sure time after time that I was satisfied. So if you re on the fence about what company to use go with these guys. Life long customer here

Their service was great in the beginning but has slacked off significantly this past year. I canceled our home service as well as our rental property, and all I received was a generic letter in the mail. No phone call. I am so disappointed.

The weeds in my lawn seemed to be out of control and none of the brand name bagged products or the big name lawn services seemed to be capable of controlling my weeds or improving the lawn in any lasting way. After telling the last lawn company to never come back when they failed to kill any weeds after a 3rd call back (and actually having to explain to them what weeds look like!) - Shades of Green came by and promised me results. I was very skeptical at this point but I decided to give them a try. Now the weeds are gone and the lawn is starting to recover from years of inferior treatments. Next year I hope to have a lawn to be proud of for a change.

This is my first year with Shades of Green after neglecting my lawn for quite a while. Justin has worked miracles on my backyard - it looks thick and green - despite the heat the yard endured. The challenge will come next spring, when i will have the front lawn completely reseeded after a sewer line project that basically removed my front yard. My Lawn specialists Trenady and Justin are very knowledgeable. I just moved to a brand new neighborhood and have no experience on taking care of the lawn. The owner and I met winter/spring of 2017 to discuss plans and set a time frame for landscaping my property and yard fertilization. The fertilization treatments started quickly but I hadnt heard anything new about the landscaping project so I began calling/leaving messages weekly in April. By late May I was told the owner was stopping by to refamiliarize himself with the project. I know last year was busy so I waited a few more weeks. After not hearing anything by late June I called 2 more times-more promises on the phone but nothing ever happened. If Id been told they couldnt do the project or I was just forgotten about I still would have had time to schedule someone to do the work before the season ended. It was a very important project to coincide with some other major improvements I was making at the time. While the fertilization service was fine my overall experience was a huge letdown made worse by the non-responses and broken promises to get back with me. Its now 2018 and I get an invoice that states service automatically continues unless I request it to end (not a big deal, Im sure this is normal). So I email them to end service and wait a week-no response. Later I call and am assured a confirmation will be emailed. As I type this its been 3 weeks and still no confirmation-the pattern continues. I hate to write a bad review but if someone would have warned me the trouble Id have to go to to get lead on like this I would never have hired this company. Ive had to start all over hiring a new company to try to get the landscaping done...a full year behind schedule because of Shades of Green.

Its always the little nuances that truly make a company great. Today I witnessed a regular fertilizing session at my grandmothers house. We didnt let the worker know we were here but after a minute he came back around to blow off all the patio surfaces in which my grandmother questioned why he was doing that and to which I replied, there is only one way to do things....the right way!!! Kudos to the worker and the company!!! Love seeing things done correctly. Thank You Shades of Green!!! Keep up the great work!!!

Cory and team were absolutely nothing but amazing. We moved into our home early 2017 and met with several so-called lawn care specialist. The biggest key to our lawn s success was to let Cory use his vast knowledge and do his thing. Cory supervised the tilling, irrigation installation, and everything in between. You get what you pay for and Cory and his team are worth it.

I can not say enough good things about this company. Lori in the office is so personable and always knows who I am when I call. She is very organized and knows exactly what is going on. Every person who has come to our home has been very professional. They usually let us know when they are here and they always work very hard. The place always looks so beautiful when they are done. Everyone has always been very polite, and they always do what they say they will do.

Hired this company a few weeks when our lawnmower quit working. I wish it would have broken sooner. Our lawn has never looked better and the staff is super friendly. They are even courteous with our work schedules. Everyone works nights and sleeps during the day so they come later in the evening which is super accommodating. Really impressed with their quality of work and customer service.

I tried to get this company out to my house for a quote/assessment on two separate occasions. The first time was in April. I was told someone would come by to talk to me when they were in the area. I was ok with that but after a month no one had come by yet. I called them and set up a formal appointment. The appointment was originally for 4:15 but the day before they called and changed it to 4:45. I told them if for whatever reason I could not be here to leave their assessment/quote on my front door. I was able to be here at 4:45 but no one showed up. I called the main office at 530 and left a message requesting that someone call me back. This was a week ago and I have still not heard from them.

Woke up Saturday morning to a water main break in my front yard. After having the main turned off, I had to get a cracked irrigation pipe fixed immediately because it left us without running water.
