Steve was AMAZING!!!!! and so knowledgable. My wife and I went in to purchase a chainsaw to use for our church project. Steve was very thorough and directed us to a chainsaw of the correct size for our needs. Steve covered everything and more about the safety, operation, care and maintenance and did I already say SAFETY about this new tool which we were so happy to purchase. Hazel who was working at the counter initially showed us the location of the chainsaws and sent Steve over to assist us to ensure we were looking at the proper tool. I hope La Verne Power Equipment is aware of how great both of these employees treat the customer and take time to provide the correct and important information needed prior to a purchase of a new tool. We will shop here again as needed for more equipment in the future. We are very pleased with this purchase and it was made possible by these wonderful employees. THANK YOU!!!!!
I went in today to purchase some part's. I was greeted by Phillip that was helping a customer and knowledge me right away . He let me know that he be right we me as soon he is done with his first customer. When he attended to me he was polite and concern how he could help me. He was very knowledgeable and he was able to show me want I needed.
The greatest positive experience while buying a new chainsaw at LPE. Employees Hazel and Steve were so patient, knowledgeable and instructing in the use of this new tool. It's my first visit... Took my lawn edger in for repairs, it leaks fuel. Seemed to have taken a while (40-minutes) to get the information off my edger into their system. given an estimated completion date for about 2-weeks. I called to get pick up status on that Friday, learning that edger hasn't been looked at, told to call back on Saturday should be complete. Called Saturday, told to call back Monday. Called Monday late afternoon, a Hazel checked with technician, informed that it would be completed in 2-hours, and wanted to know if I would authorize parts and labor? I thought that's why I took it in for... My edger has been sitting for 2-weeks with no status to its condition. Seem's like I'm getting the round-around. Keeping a record of notes.
These guys went out of their way to accommodate me. I took a part of a roto-tiler in for them to look at and they had it back to me the next day, right before New Years! Happy New Years La Verne Power Equipment. Thank you again.
Great Customer Service and Pricing! - Dropped off two, 20 year old mowers for service, one with a locked up motor. The saleswoman Melissa checked my equipment in fast. Got a text the next week my mowers were ready! The service tech. Isidro did a fine job and my mowers look and run great and the pricing was very fair. I highly recommend La Verne Power for all your service needs.
Prepare to deal with missing parts on your brand new tool they assembled without authorization.

Avoid this place at all costs. I waited three months to get a tune up on my edger and five months to get it turned up on my mower. Within two months, neither one of them would start without using starting fluid. Employees are rude and disrespectful.
Found out they are not a warranty service e provider for Toro.

I have used them now twice within the last 6 weeks. Once for a weed whacker and a lawnmower. Both times they were very professional, and every helpful.
Poor customer service experience at this shop. Ive been in the market with plans to buy two new Toro commercial mowers and decided that I wanted to support a local business. I had the day off and came in on a Monday morning around 10:30 am. I came through the front door as another worker came out and was never greeted or acknowledged as I said excuse me and walked in. Another worker inside was on the phone so I decided to look around while waiting for him to be free. Some people came trickling in to drop off their equipment for servicing, while the first worker I ran into, continued to walk around looking too busy to still acknowledge me or offer any sort of help, but a simple acknowledgment that hed be right with me would have been nice. I figured he was busy assisting someone else, but it turns out that he wasnt, because he eventually ended up assisting someone else who arrived before me as they were also waiting around. I continued to look around at products as the front counter area is too cramped, with nowhere to stand while waiting to be assisted or attended to. Just as one of the workers who was on the phone ended their call, he decides to help someone else with their equipment drop-off who happened to come through the door. This then ends up being a long painstakingly slow wait. At this point, Ive been waiting in the shop for a little bit over 15 minutes now with my patience wearing thin. Im not going to beg an establishment to do business with me when I already plan on making a large purchase. This place feels disorganized and stretched thin with no system in place to help those who are waiting around as more and more customers slowly come in. I left with a bad impression and wouldnt want to take any of my equipment here for future servicing needs either. Ill take my money and do my business elsewhere.
I work for a local government agency. We have tried to do business with this store several times and every time we are disappointed. They take very long to answer the phone. When they do I get put on hold indefinitely. It seems no one knows about equipment we drop of or parts we have ordered. I ordered a simple part almost a year ago still nothing. Getting a call back from them... forget about it. Several months ago we ordered other parts and every time we called we were told they were waiting for them. After several attempts I finally asked if we were getting anything and I was told they were not able to get them after all that wasted time. Took a carburetor to get rebuilt and did work. Wasnt passing fuel internally.
Bate and switch but even worse! Incompetent, and Rude! After being a satisfied customer for 30+ years; No More! Took a riding mower in for: tubes installed in all 4 tires Oil change And blade sharpening Three weeks later it was Ready Got home and left mower on truck over night, in the morning the rear tires were flat. Took It back Two weeks later it was Ready again Took it home unloaded it into the garage About a week later tried to mow the yard About 40-ft in it started billowing white smoke Took it back in again They called and said they had over filled the oil and that it was Ready again When they were putting it on the truck with the fork lift it slipped and the forks went up into the blade housing they slid it back and put it on the truck We got it home and when we engaged the blade it made a loud noise So we took it back again They told us that we had to pay $25.00 total out the door for a new blade (to replace the blade they bent) the blade needed sharpened so we said ok. Three weeks later they told us that they had received the wrong blade and had to wait for the blade they ordered to arrive but it was Ready again. Went to pick it up and they wanted to charge us $78.00 We ask to talk to the manager, after about an hour Tony showed I explained we had been told the out the door price was $25.00 and that the blade may have been bent when it slipped off the forklift then Tony said I do not want your money get your mower out of here and do not come back I told him that we had already decided that, but we needed the mower in front of ares moved Tony said that s your problem so I said ok if you are sure I have a chain. He had someone move the other mower. Then tony said load your mower and go. Rude Much? I recommend you do not go there!
Very busy place, but diagnosed and repaired my pressure washer in one day.
If there was a 0 star rating that s exactly where I would put these guys. Tony the owner has terrible customer service skills and is good at lying and trying to make you take blame for their miscommunication and their mistakes. I was previously warned about doing business with these guys, but unfortunately I didn t follow the advice and now I m stuck with a broken machine that s been sitting in the shop for 3 months. A good company starts off with a great management team, and unfortunately the owner is a terrible person to do business with. Beside all of this, they are way overpriced. Overall this is the worst experience I ve had with any power equipment shop.
I took my Greenworks pole hedger in to have sharpened and when I got it back and went to use it didnt cut any better than when I took it in. I took it back and they basically said sorry we sharpened it and that was it. I asked for my money back and he said Ill have to come back when Tony the owner is there. After reading the reviews on Tony I dont think anything is going to change hence the review.

Bought 2 georippers today this shop has a huge selection of tools trimmers mowers. It has a mom and pop shop feel easy to work with. Some places are a different speed. This shop is kinda old school vibe. Thanks again pat.

These guys are not interested in adjusting small engine equipment like chainsaws quoting 6 WEEKS before they can even look at it. wouldnt buy new from them as they are not service orientated!

Decided to give their service a second try. a few years ago I brought my gas blower in for a tuneup. Was told it would be ready in a week. When I called a week later, I was told they were still working on it. Another week went by. I went there to check on the blower. The girl at the counter disappears to the back for about 15 minutes. I go to the end of the counter to look towards the back and I can see the technician repeatedly trying to start it. A short while later the girl comes out an says that a part broke, and the have to order it. This took another two weeks before I got the unit back Now to present day. I am rebuilding my McClane 20 inch reel mower. I have it completely broken down and I contact them to get a quote at sharpening the blade on a machine.(Not lapping). I take the 7 blade rotor to the counter and the guy says it has to be on the mower n order for them to sharpen it. Frustrated in describing exactly what I was bringing in and then they say they cant do it. Strike two. There will be no third strike.

Poor customer service. Was ready to buy a grass trimmer and noticed the female behind the counter. I was the only one inside and walked to the grass trimmer area. Waited for 15 mins and no one walked up to me so I walked up to the lady at the desk. She has been on the computer since I walked in. I didnt get a response from her. So I started walking out the door and she finally says do you need some help? Unbelievable. Gonna buy somewhere else, which I did. Thanks Home Depot!

I saw a Honda and a Makita string trimmer on Amazon and decided to buy one at La Verne Power Equipment to support a local business. The place is packed with equipment. I spoke to Tony, who courteously explained the two trimmers I was considering. I bought the Honda and Im glad I did; it knocks down everything its path. Tony even knocked $10 off the already reduced price. Good tools make the difference. All in all, a good experience here.

I just needed a quick 5 minute fix on my lawnmower. There was like 3 people in line and the employees worked so slow. When I was attended they said they couldnt do a simple welding job of five minutes. Dont go to this place. Its not worth your time. Really. Dont go.

Let me tell you what happened, and then you decide if my rating is correct: I pulled into the parking lot in the early afternoon. One employee was outside helping a customer with his lawnmower. I went into the shop where I was the only customer. Two employees were standing at a computer on the sales counter, having a conversation, and it was apparent that they were not dealing with an online customer. While I stood near the counter facing them they laughed and yukked it up without acknowledging me in the slightest. I then wandered the shop for a few minutes, only to return to the counter to be ignored again. The evidence is that good customer service - really, ANY customer service - is not a high priority at that shop. My money and I left, and anyone who wants my opinion of La Verne Power Equipment will have it loud and clear. P. S. Im getting good use from the Husqvarna chainsaw I purchased elsewhere, from someone interested in taking care of his customers.

Stopped in a few weeks earlier and someone had bought all the stihl saws that I wanted to look at. Came back today and they had every saw you could dream of. Guy at counter was helpful and explained everything and anything about each saw. Warranties, blade type, fuel, bar, etc. I settled on a stihl MS 194T. It felt best in my hands and would do what I needed for a limb saw. Great customer service.
If youre looking for lawn and garden tools this should be your place! Mowers from walk behinds to ride on. Mostly pro type tools, but that way the job is easier, faster ,And safer. Better tools can save you or if youre a pro can increase your productivity. Is your mower, line trimmer,or other equipment broken? Their service department can fix it for you or sell you the correct parts. Ive been getting a lot of my equipment from them and will continue to do so. All the major brands in hand or power tools ( gas or electric).

I took my Yamaha portable generator which I had not started in over 10 years and when I got it back, it ran as if it were brand new and just unpacked from the box. The guys were helpful and delivered when they said they would. I just took my weed whacker to LPE and I am expecting the same great performance. Thanks guys, I really appreciate your work.

First time here. I was referred by TLC Auto. Wow, what a place. They seem to have everything you need to care for the yard/property. They took my pressure washer right in and gave me an estimate for the repair. Then I went shopping!

Dropped of mower for basic service and blade sharpening. Was told it would take 1-1.5 weeks. After two weeks I called on Saturday and asked if it was ready to pickup. Was told No it would be ready Monday. I told the lady that was unacceptable and I would pick up the following Saturday. Mostly because I am like average people and hold a job M-F, therefore unable to pickup during the week. Showed up today, Saturday when they opened, after 3 weeks....was told it be ready in an hour. They havent even started the service! So...let me break this down...an hour worth of labor to service and sharpen a lawn mower takes 3 weeks. UNACCEPTABLE! Maybe if they took 25% of their inventory, which never appears to move, and hired 1-2 more employees their customer service would be much more efficient. Additionally, this would enable them to focus resources on selling inventory as they move more through their Service department and have more customer touch points by turning out more production.

Very helpful staff and tons of products
I had to come back and edit after a month, I was probably a little harsh last time and gave these guys a bad review, there inventory at the time was unorganized and low since then I have been back a couple of times and the service has been top notch. And they have hired a great new friendly employee, and she is doing a great job keep up the good work guys.
