Taylor came to my house and helped me with a bad sprinkler wire, and was just a very pleasant person! My next outdoor project will definitely be with Cutting Edge!!

We really couldn t be happier with our experience. From scheduling the initial visit to discuss our needs all the way through until the day of installation, the entire team was excellent to work with. We were extremely pleased with the landscape design and drainage solution. The office was more than helpful addressing our questions and keeping us posted on what we could expect for next steps. The landscape crew arrived as scheduled, worked diligently to complete the work as quoted, and made sure we were satisfied during installation and before they left for the day. It s refreshing to work with a vendor that does what they say they ll do, all while providing top notch service. We d definitely recommend them and hope to work together again in the future!

WOW! The person who did the lawncare service for our church unexpectedly retired in March - leaving us gathering bids at the worst time to find a new solution. I had trouble even getting people to call back. The Cutting Edge really stood out - they responded quickly with a fair bid, the work was scheduled right away, and the finished work was outstanding. They even did the labor between drops on a rainy day LOL. The responsiveness of my contact person - Alexandra - was above and beyond my expectations. Very impressed with the whole process from start to finish. We are happy customers!

In June I was emailed about the price increase that would occur in July. I first cancel because I could not aford it. However I was able to get funds so I contacted them the first week in July to be put back on the schedule. I was told I was on the schedule starting the second week of July. Howver my grass never got cut. Today 6/20/22 I was emailed that the sub-contractor is saying that he can no longer service your property (as well as a few others) due to his schedule overload. My lawn has 3 weeks of overgrowth that now I have to find someone new. In the 3 weeks no communication only an excuse why he could not my grass. Unprofessional to stand up a client and leave their lawn a hot mess!

UPDATE: once we were able to get out in the yard to see what had been done we realized things were not completed correctly. We have had to go back and have most of their work redone. They fired us and tried to intimidate us. They made up lies. 1. We have had to redo the SOD. It was ridiculous. One of their subcontractors could not believe the shotty sod work. When I shared this, they spoke poorly of him. Previously, I was told he did one of their yards and he did good work. 2. The irrigation system is on our both of our neighbors yards. HOA is making us move irrigation off of both neighbors yards. And we are having to have irrigation heads added to some areas because there isnt coverage. We are having to handwater several areas until we can get the additional work done. The yard has ridges where the irrigation was placed. Did not fill in the dirt around the irrigation. The slope and one side of the house. We have had to fill in these ridges. Luckily no one has broken their ankle. 3. The outdoor lighting shined into our windows so we had to fix them ourselves. The timer had to be replaced less than 6 months. The placement of the irrigation system does not make sense. Zones in the front also are connected to the backyard. 4. Our brown metal 5 border which went across one side of the house was taken. I reported this. Later I was told it was not found. Excess hardscape was removed and a portion was discarded. They did replace 4 blocks. We appreciated that. 5. Hardscape : They talked us into medium river rock on one side of our house that slopes. No steps to get to the water faucet. Bad decision. We asked for retaining wall which was roughly in place, but not done. We are having to have this redone. 6. One Hemlock was over watered and it died. We had.cautioned about the Hemlocks being.over watered. They said the right things when they were doing the job. It was done quickly. But we found out it wasnt completed like it should have been. 7. They came back and did one drain by the driveway. They did a great job. 8. The 3 Dogwoods that they chose and planted are beautiful. 9. The Skip Laurels were also placed by their design. Very nice. They did a great job. Its too bad. We trusted them. Wished we didnt have to have things redone. We are paying twice for the project. ORIGINAL COMMENT: Jacob & Taylor & the entire team work great together. They arrived on time every day. They worked thru the rain. They were neat. Taylor helped me make design decisions on the fly. The 8 guys were gracious, respectful, and very professional. Jacob & Emily & Taylor kept their word every step of the way. Monday, Taylor said by Thursday we will have your sod installed. Wednesday night no sod. Thursday 530 am multiple pallets of sod were lined up infront of our house. They were 99.9 % done on Thursday. The following Monday morning Taylor has the WiFi & rain sensor ready to install. They started working when they arrived every morning. No one took long breaks. Taylor & Jacob organized the guys each day. This is the most knowledgeable, hardworking company that we have worked with. The communication was excellent. We have rescheduled them back to place a French Drain by the front driveway. We highly recommend this company. Pricing is reasonable for the quality of work they do.

I used Cutting Edge for nearly two years for mowing services. The multiple price increases we endured over the summer did not at all seem to parallel the increase in fuel costs. We have now recently been told the subcontractor could no longer provide service anymore, and Cutting Edge has dropped us as customers. Not reliable and expensive.

I highly recommend The Cutting Edge. I have used them for all my landscape and tree needs and received high quality service each time. The office manager is fantastic, so responsive and easy to work with. I call them with any of my landscape needs and they always deliver!

We had not used a professional landscaper until this year when we received multiple quotes from and met with various companies. We choose The Cutting Edge due to the friendliness and helpfulness of the office staff and professionalism of their landscaping crews. Their entire team is a pleasure to work with. Our yard has never looked better! It is wonderful to do business with a company that provides such consistent, professional and excellent service. 10/10 would recommend.

We used cutting edge this past spring and summer. When we first scheduled an estimate I sat around all day and as far as I knew no one showed up. We received a quote later and they claimed some one came out, but I never saw anyone. They were the only company that we contacted that had availability for lawn maintenance so we went with them. We needed weed clean up and mulching done and they could do it also. We were not aware that they subcontract the mowing until no one showed up for a week and a half after we were told they would come. Called multiple times before someone contacted us back. I was disappointed with the mulch as the weeds were barely pulled, and in some areas they didnt even pull the weeds. I am chronically ill and just days after the new mulch was done was out having to pull weeds. I never complained because I figured they would tell me that weeds come back and beside the crew never spoke to me the day they put down the mulch to confirm that I was happy with the work. Mowing was completed for the most part on time all summer but suddenly in August our grass stopped being cut and then I was billed by another company for mowing services. I called but I didnt get a return call for 2 days. By that point I had contacted the other company that billed me and he explained that he was no longer doing subcontracted work with the cutting edge and they had told him that we would be taken care of and for him to bill us if he wanted to get paid. When I finally heard back from the cutting edge I was ANGRY as we had not had our grass cut in weeks and I had been in the hospital. Apparently at some point they sent an email saying we were no longer having mowing done by their company or any other services. Then a month later I get billed for a service that was never completed for fertilization. When I called about it the lady on the phone said they did it and it just took a while for the bill to be sent. BUT no one ever came to do that treatment. The fertilization company puts up a sign when service is completed and there was no sign up from that supposed service. I paid anyway because I want this company out of our lives for good.

Not a trustworthy company. They will flat out lie to you to male themselves look better and will try to cover up any mistakes they make.

I have not used this company yet but I just witnessed them pull over to help an old lady out! Her car broke down and they pushed it out of traffic s way and had her pop the hood so they could hopefully fix it. I believe this speaks volumes about the company and their employees. I will definitely be calling them for my next landscaping needs!

ALL staff are over and above ... victor and Taylor the owners ALWAYS return my calls or text ... this is un heard of ..... our yard looks like something out of house and gardens .... Emily, all office staff , front line workers are over the top .. been using these guys for years now ... not one complaint ... EVER ... john and Cindy West

Nothing but great things to say about The Cutting Edge. For several years, I struggled to find a lawn care company in Knoxville that was both professional and reliable. The Cutting Edge has been both of those things since the first day I reached out to them. Theyve been doing my work for three years now, and they do a great job every single time. When I have questions about anything that comes up (like getting a price on extra service, such as mulching), Emily and Victor are always quick to get me an honest answer. My yard looks better now than I thought possible!

I have nothing but praise for this company and its employees. They have been cutting my grass in Sequoyah Hills, Knoxville for over 2 years now. Initially I only expected to use them for about 6 months while I was away, but the results were so good that I have continued, and will continue to do so. The employees are professional and pleasant. There has never been a problem of any kind.

Victor, Josh, and team are always professional and do great work getting my lawn back in shape in the Spring! You can always tell when they have visited - the yard, the trimming and clean-up, mulch is always top notch!

This is an awful company that does not do what they say they will do. One pays for the so called services anyway.

They installed 10 pallets of sod at my residence. The sod had to be brought in by wheelbarrows, cause gate not wide enough for bobcat. The job forman (Victor) even waited 30 min after job completion for me to get home to ensure i was completely satisfied. These folks are phenomenal, they will be my only call for landscaping in the future! Thanks Ashley

3 stars because they were nice. Nothing more because thats all I got. I asked for a quote on a retaining wall project, but they politely declined saying it wasnt their bread and butter and the job was to big for them to tackle. I appreciated the honesty on that matter and decided to ask about them doing some front yard landscaping. Some mulch, slight grading and a small paver walkway. They took some measurements and then about a week later I received an email saying the scope of the job was to much for them to accept. So, good guys, just dont seem willing to take on certain jobs.

I used the Cutting Edge to mow my lawn while I was out of town for an extended period of time. I found them to be the most responsive and professional service in Knoxville. They did an excellent job of taking care of my lawn when I couldnt and Id highly recommend them to anyone looking for lawn service in the Knoxville area.

Victor s a nice guy and more than willing to communicate on jobs to be done. The only reason for me to move on is I ve never came home and felt WOW, my yard looks Great! My last yard guy moved away and I miss his detailed work. Even when willing to pay extra, it just wasn t like his work and I m looking for that. Like I said they re nice guys and hope if you go with this company, you have a WOW, my yard looks Great experience.

These guys are great. The price is right, they come and cut regularly and my overall experience with the business has been trouble free.

I hired the Cutting Edge to do a complete remodel of my yard. Victor took my ideas and designed a sketch that fit my needs perfectly. The crew was prompt, professional and efficient. The final product turned out better than I could have imagined! Id recommend the Cutting Edge to anyone in need of quality work paired with great customer service and reasonable prices. I tip my hat to this company and its employees.

My pipe froze and burst at my backflow, prompting me to email Cutting Edge to see when they were going to do winterization this year (They did it in Dec last year). They told me that they had already completed winterization this year, and I was out of sight and out of mind because I declined aeration/overseed this year and didnt have mowing service with them. This is an absolutely lame and insulting excuse. I still had multiple lawn treatments through them this year, including the one thats scheduled with the aeration/overseed, and in fact I had an additional lime treatment they suggested as part of that visit as well. They suggested I call a different company. I will be from now on, and I recommend you do, too. ===== Reply to owners response: The reason for my negative review is simply because I had a negative experience, and your response to it didnt do anything to make up for your mistake. Your reply essentially just said Whoops, our bad even when looked at in the best light. Your response here to my review is just as bad. Suggesting a different company doesnt change my experience with your company, even if it was my best option. If you want to say its my fault and that I was required to call ahead to be on your schedule, then you need to just tell me that. The problem is that expectation was never set. Youve previously reached out to me when its time for regular services, including winterization. Instead youre telling me that it was an oversight on your end, but are giving me excuses like saying I didnt use enough services from you this year or that most customers called, which feels like youre trying to shift the blame instead of owning it. You had a customer with a problem, and your response was to tell the customer they werent enough of a customer. You even say in your response here that I was a customer to varying degrees. That just makes me not want to be your customer at all. On top of that, when I emailed you directly with a problem, the lame response I got back was from your office manager and not you. Only after I left this review did you attempt to contact me yourself. At that point, I was already squared away with the other company you suggested. Good customer service is proactive, not reactive. Im not going to beg you to make things right - Im just going to move on.

Spoke with Victor via email on 8/2. Said theyd be at my mothers house on 8/8. No show. No call. 8/9. No show. No call. Emailed on 8/10 to ask where they were. Got this: Ive been out of town on vacation but I just reached out to the guys. They said that there is no way we can get into the driveway because its too steep and the main road is too busy to park our truck on. I just now found out about it as I havent been checking their lists since Ive been on vacation. Sorry for the inconvenience but according to them, we cant do it due to the parking situation. Victor 8 days later, we couldnt figure out there was no parking? OR ask? Poor customer service. Im all about safety and convenience, but I should not have had to be the one to reach out. UPDATE: Got this: It rained most of the day on Monday so we were a day behind...which would put you on Wednesday, not Tuesday as we discussed. 8 days has nothing to do with it as I told you the earliest we would be able to provide service was Tuesday, pending weather. They tried yesterday late afternoon and as I explained, Im on a family vacation so I didnt check their lists last night when they got in. However I took the time to respond to your email this morning and let you know the reasoning we couldnt service it yesterday. Im sorry that qualifies as poor customer service in your eyes. Good luck in your search and again, I apologize for the inconvenience. Victor

Very good service -- they arrive on time, do the agreed upon work and clean up -- all at a reasonable cost.

Overall, the end result was pretty good. Initially, there was miscommunication in terms of the work requested versus the work actually done. I notified the company and they quickly came back to make the corrections. Also, the workers made a little bit of a mess leaving clumps of mud in the yard & muddy footprints on the driveway, but it wasnt a big deal because it easily washed off.

Great service, reasonable prices. They do work for us at our rental properties and our home.

I purchased a commercial property to relocate my business in March 2016 and asked the seller who they used. It was The Cutting Edge and I continued using them as well. The company is reliable and the owner, Victor, is responsive to my periodic questions. In addition, when I have needed additional services, he has either provided them or made good referrals.

Switched over to cutting edge for 2017 and Victor and his guys have done me a great job. From mowing to irrigation they have done great. Highly recommend.

They started out doing a great job for me, but eventually started getting sloppy, missing spots, and wouldnt cut it as low as I preferred.

The Cutting Edge is a cut-above your average lawn service. Our yard needs were heard and met in a professional, yet friendly manner. We highly recommend this company.

Taylor and his crew installed lasndscaping in both our front and back yard. The morning the job was to be completed, I got a call that Site One hadn t saved my plants. They were finally found but the whole situation was very unorganized. I had one plant and tree that didn t make it despite a good amount of watering on our part. After contacting Taylor, I was told that neither he nor Site One have warranties on their plants. I ve never heard of such a thing. Most landscapers and suppliers have a one year warranty. So now I m stuck replacing these at my cost. Very disappointed in the lack of professionalism of this company. I would definitely recommend getting the work in writing and finding a company that backs up the quality of their work.
