South Mountain Lawn & Landscape, Inc. is a small, locally owned full service landscaping company in the Frederick County area. We are a four season operation. We start out in the spring with clean-up and mulching to get your yard ready for outdoor enjoyment. As the season progresses we keep your lawn neatly manicured with weekly, scheduled mowings. Through the hot summer months (or any other season) we can build you a patio, sidewalk, retaining wall or whatever your home entertaining desires may be. Come the fall we gladly remove leaf and other yard debris. When winter finally sets in and snow begins to fall we can plow your driveway, parking lot and/or sidewalks. If the winter winds fill your yard with debris we can clean it up

I filled out a request for work on line. Within the hour Jamie called to ask what services i needed. I had five trees that needed to be planted. Jamie let me know that it was their policy to call miss utility for any kind of digging. He set it up and came out the next day to plant the trees. He did a great job and cleaned up very well. I would definitely refer him and hire him again.

We needed to find a contractor to completely remove and replace the existing hardscape, including terraced retaining walls, patio and walkway pavers, plants and planters. This was a large job that took weeks to accomplish. I contacted South Mountain Landscape and Jamie came by to assess the project. He was pleasant and very knowledgeable, especially considering there were water runoff issues. Him and his crew were very respectful and professional, working hard throughout the whole process. They took pride in their work and were just as excited about the final product as we were. I would certainly recommend South Mountain to anyone looking to hire someone to do their job.
We've used South Mountain Lawn & Landscape to install underground downspouts with pop-up drains and to regrade/seed portions of our lawn. Most recently, Jamie and his crew edged and mulched our beds...spreading 23 yards of mulch in one day. Jamie is always responsive, punctual, and leaves the area clean. I would recommend South Mountain Lawn & Landscape for all of your outdoor needs!

The job that South Mountain did was incredible. I have several large garden beds that were mulched, along with leveling some areas and putting down gravel. Not only did they complete the work in a timely manner, it looks absolutely fantastic. I plan to continue to use South Mountain yearly to maintain the overall aesthetics of my gardens. I highly recommend their work, and their pricing is unbeatable!
We met Jamie by accident at Irwin Stone in Frederick and were glad we did. My wife and I were at Irwin Stone looking at pavers for a project in our back yard. Jamie agreed to meet us a few days later at our house to look at the job. He spent about an hour with us discussing our project (a fire pit with surrounding pavers 22ft X 22ft) as well as making recommendations for other yard issues that we could handle ourselves. I appreciated the time he took, his recommendations and his eye for details. Jamie was up front with us in terms of his availability, which at the time was about 2 months out. A few days later he sent us a quote and we agreed upon the details and the price. His proposal was not the least expensive but it was clear and specific and we felt that based on our conversations he would pay attention to the little details- and he did. In the end he delivered exactly what he promised and in the promised time frame and he kept us informed all along the way. He and his crew cleaned up at the end of each day, and on the final day they repaired damage to the yard which was unavoidable from the heavy equipment. I could not have asked for anything more. We are very happy with the experience and the results. I can be somewhat intrusive and picky when it comes to contractors working at my house but Jamie was always patient and polite with us. I highly recommend South Mountain Lawn & Landscape for your hardscape projects.

Jaime took the time to establish a plan to help with a failing retaining wall and manage the drainage. He and his team did a great job securing the retaining wall and installing the drainage system. He and his team were professional and along with completing the work on time, they made sure the are was left graded, seeded, and cleaner than it was when they started. I plan on using South Mountain Landscape for more work in the spring.
Simply the best! Very knowledgeable, and a great crew who obviously takes pride in their work. I would highly recommend them for any job from the smallest to the largest. I hired them last year for routine mowing then, based on the impression they made, Ive had them do some tree trimming, weeding, and mulching. I just had them out again today to do some hard-scape work around my AC unit, my shed, and more trimming. Highly recommend!

Jaime does routine maintenance and cleanup on my property twice a year. He prunes, installs, and removes plants with care. The crew is friendly, punctual, and follows direction well. Jaime and his crew removed my paver patio last year, laid underground drains from the house and relaid the pavers beautifully. Good work. Good value.
Jamie was very prompt in returning phone calls, emails and text messages. Downspouts pipes pointing away from the house were installed as proposed. Original turf was put back and it doesn t look like anything was disturbed. Pleasure to work with and look forward to working with South Mountain again.
