Lupe Landscaping & Maintenance in Kingston

My partner and I reached out to the company to level a part of our yard and put up a retaining wall. They gave us a quote which sounded too good to be true, and it seems it was. One previous contractor had quoted us $10,000 to level the area and install a rock wall and Lupe said their company could do it in a day at $3500. Wow! We said, that is amazing, the other company must have been overcharging us. So on to the day of work, I came home to a rock wall, and a section that was not at all level. I showed Lupe this and he said Oh so you want it more level? They came back the day after and did more work and at the end of the day it was still not level. Im not sure what the expectation of asking something to be leveled usually is, but I expected them to actually bring out levels and ensure that it was flat. The area was still all over the place. I would have been fine with them telling me that the project was going to cost a bit more money to get it where we wanted, I understand that people need to get paid. They either did not set my expectations on what they were going to do or did not understand what I needed them to do. Afterwards, he asked me if I wanted gravel put in on top of it to make it level but from my understanding the ground should be level before putting the gravel on. I did not have them complete the rest of the project. I paid them, but I am going to have to do many hours to get it to an acceptable place to get the project finished. On the upside they were extremely quick to start the project and they were very kind and respectful while being on the property. I just dont feel like they communicated enough or set my expectations.

These guys are incredible! They put in a retaining wall. It is amazing and only took 2 days from start to finish. Very hard workers! Lupe and his crew were easy to work with and answered any questions we had. We recommend them and will use them again in the future for possible future projects!

We needed a landscaping refresh and update and did not know where to start. Lupe responded quickly to our inquiry, arrived promptly as scheduled, and provided a quick, thorough estimate. He and his team were very professional, the work was done quickly, and the result was WAY beyond our expectations! We could never have done such a beautiful job ourselves, his ideas and knowledge of both plants and our sprinkler system was top notch. We cant wait to enjoy our beautiful yard for years to come! We will definitely be calling Lupes Landscaping again when we have any landscaping needs!

This is an edit to my past review from a few years back because they are just so great. We reached back out to Lupe and his crew for another job we needed done and they once again didnt disappoint. They were quick to respond and came out and did an incredible job. I truly cant believe how fast they work. It is impressive! They are easy to work with and make sure you are satisfied with the job. I recommend them 10 out of 10. You will certainly be happy once you go through them! Lupes crew was amazing! They were fast, reliable, and did a great job. I will be using them for all future landscaping needs!

Lupe has completed numerous projects on our property including lawn seeding, tree removal, border construction, driveway graveling, landscape bark application and drain installation. He is easy to reach by phone, shows up promptly and works efficiently. He often suggests design features that hadnt occurred to me and always result in a clean and manicured appearance. I am completely satisfied with his work and recommend him highly for any and all landscaping projects.

My property needed a number of improvements and it was not obvious how to break up the work into quotable units. Lupe worked with me to quote and complete individual tasks before moving on to quote and complete the next task. He used a large team to get the work done efficiently - personally overseeing the entire process and coming to me to clarifications during the work process. Everything was done on budget and on schedule. What I am most pleased about was the completeness of the work - he took great care in making sure each detail was done to my specification and reviewed progress with me to ensure he was on track with what I wanted.

Lupe s built a beautiful covered porch for us that we (& 2 other builders we had contacted) hadn t even imagined. It was designed & completed in 3 days, along with sculpting the plants in front & around our house, and building meandering walkways. After that came building a deck again, beautiful and completed in days and then fencing our yard as we had asked in a combination of privacy fence and hogwire fence, with 2 different sized gates and a trellis. All are stunning! Every crew was polite, thorough, and left the worksite neat every day. They did wonderful, high-quality, detailed work. All at a very reasonable price. We will definitely ask them to do more work yard & driveway for sure as we are able to have it done. I highly recommend Lupe s Landscaping!

Lupe and his crew were fantastic. They were very professional and worked hard from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. What I appreciate also is that they took a good break for lunch in order to take care of themselves. The entire landscaping project was completed in less than a week. I have no reservation in highly recommending this landscaping company.

Lupe and his team far exceeded my expectations. I called late on a Saturday and that Monday they arrived early, worked consistently with great effort for three days and transformed my acreage exactly how I d asked. The team worked hard. They worked long hours until the job was completed exactly as I d asked and beyond. They were courteous and respectful. Lupe and his team deserve more than 5 stars. Highly recommend.

I met Lupe and his son Moses last week, and was impressed with their promptness, engaging manner, and excellent suggestions for my property. Today they spent the day here working on my large driveway area: smoothing out the ground to remove low areas, gently sloping the ground toward the drain, and distributing 2 truckloads of gravel. It turned out great and should resolve our mud problems nicely! They also removed several large, overgrown, scraggly evergreen bushes that had definitely seen better days. In their place they mulched beautifully and planted hydrangeas. I look forward to seeing them bloom outside my window in the summer! I hired Lupe to handle regular yard maintenance going forward, and plan to implement more of their suggestions as my budget permits. Highly recommended!

Lupe, his son and crew (4 total) spent about 6 hours cleaning up the landscaping on my property and adding compost. They had to wheelbarrow the compost up my driveway and up the grade of my backyard. They place looks wonderful. I have hired Lupe and his crew to maintain my landscaping for a really reasonable price. I hope to have them build some new improvements for me in the near future.

We recently purchased a new home in Hansville and were in need of a lawn service, and we found Lupe s Landscaping through a web search. When he came to our home to give us a proposal for lawn service, we also spoke with him about landscaping, hardscaping, an irrigation system, outdoor stairs, a walking path, an outdoor fire pit, and some evergreen trees. We were very pleased with Lupe s proposal with respect to the cost and his approach to all of our needs. He referred us to a home up the street from us where he had done landscaping and hardscaping; we met with that homeowner who was exceptionally pleased with the work Lupe and his team had done. We authorized Lupe to do all of the work we contemplated, and within a week everything was completed, and it exceeded our expectations. (And we are having him back to do the fencing for our yard Lupe s Landscaping truly is a one-stop shop for homeowners!) Lupe and his crew leveled out our back yard, installed pavers, replanted some trees and did a bunch of miscellaneous things for us. He returned my call promptly and he and his crew showed up on time even though it was pouring rain. They were very professional and did a great job and did not try to talk us into doing things we didnt need. We will definitely hire them again and we highly recommend them.

Lupe came in with a crew and finished a big job quickly and efficiently with no interruption to business. It looks great, they followed instructions, and they were easy to work with.

Lupe is a nice guy but he sweet talk me into more then I plan. Told me how beautiful it will be. It was until he dug into my powdery dirt and spread it all over which had rocks and stick in it which will have to pick up. I walk on it and sink an inch down cant get grass seed to grow and when watering it it runs down like a mud side not good. With the money I spent I was hoping for good dirt.

Lupe and his crew were prompt and very thorough. His estimate was more than fair and the work was done efficiently. We have a very large laurel in our yard that is a bit too much for us to care for (along with some rhodies). Lupe came out a few days before for an estimate and returned two days later to complete the work. Other landscapers were booked out for weeks...months even. Lupe is also local to us here in Kingston so we were happy to support our neighbor and local business. We will for sure call him back in the spring when the laurels grow back and will also have him do some other landscaping on our property as well. Thank you Lupe!

Lupe and his crew are wonderful and I am amazed at how fast they finished all the work. They expanded and built up my flower beds, installed a beautiful stone paver path around the beds and cleared the brush/bramble from under a stand of large pines. Lupes Landscaping was a wonderful discovery for us. In fact, after trying to obtain quotes from other landscapers, Lupe was an especially welcome discovery. Most other landscapers we interviewed had little or no creativity and even some seemed rather unwilling to accommodate our objectives. Worse yet, most others did not even return multiple phone calls and emails. Lupe was a most refreshing change. He visited us the next afternoon, listened to our ideas and then made wonderful suggestions most of which we ended up incorporating. This was a rather complex landscaping job that incorporated automatic irrigation, a huge stone patio with walkways, stone stairs and a fire pit. Only two days later he and his crew were at our house to begin work a day ahead of schedule!!! Thats right - AHEAD OF SCHEDULE! How often does that happen? The crew worked tirelessly Tuesday, Wednesday and completed the entire job on Thursday. Needless to say we are delighted with the result! Lupe gets 5 stars for sure.

We are new to Hansville. I called Lupe bases on Google reviews and he stopped by that same afternoon. We went over our needs, Lupe had great suggestions, and we proceeded the following Monday. He and his crew installed a 7-zone irrigation system, did much needed grading and clean-up, planted 12 trees, and put mulch throughout the yard, a half acre. Lupe and his crew worked hard and did amazing work. Quality at a very fair price. Lupe has my highest recommendation and that rarely occurs with me. Many thanks Lupe!
