Green Valley did a few big jobs for me this past year, including painting, repair and landscaping. I found them reasonably priced, conscientious and professional.

This is the only place I trust to do my lawn at the start of the season. Good quality service, would recommend for start of summer season

The crew did do a good job. There were process hiccups that will keep me from using them again.

We couldnt be happier with the work Avery and his team do! We have used them for two seperate projects that included river rock landscaping, bush and root removal, spring cleanup and most recently, an extension to our existing patio, done in pavers. Everything is top notch! They are our go-to.

What an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. I spent a considerable amount of a money for a full restart of a portion of my lawn. They fully removed all my top soil, brought in new soil and seeded. I felt comfortable with the plan bc it was guaranteed (the contract literally says the lawn was guaranteed for the first season bc we have an irrigation system). The initial weeks went fine and the grass grew in well. Then the problems started. Follow-up treatments were weeks overdue despite me texting and calling asking to get on their calendar. Meanwhile, weeds started to infiltrate the lawn. I continued to call/text asking for the owner to come look at it and determine what needs to be done, with no response. When he finally did, he confirmed we had a massive crab grass infestation that would be difficult to deal with and would require additional treatments not in the original plan. He conceded that he was involved in a really big project and wasn t able to come soon enough to check out the lawn. He also said he would eat some of the costs for follow-on treatments. However, when I got the quote for the new plan (which took over a week to get), there was no discount. I tried for 3 WEEKS getting their attention to revise the quote and honor the promised discounts, with no response over text and a promised call back after speaking with the office manager. This company is incredibly unresponsive and cannot fulfill on its promises. This ultimately led to a failed project and the business took no accountability for that. I would highly advise staying away.

I was provided with trees from this company at great expense but they gave me no care instructions at all. Apparently I was supposed to water them almost daily, but I didnt, so they started dying. Deer ate the trees almost immediately and then GVL charged me to build a piss-poor fence that offered little protection. The positive reviews on Google seem misleading. One reviewer posted a 5-star review using photo of a pool and landscaping, but the photo is found all over the internet and does not seem to represent GVLs actual work. In my opinion and based on my repeated observations, which I have documented, many of the 5-star reviews that get posted here are fake, and I have repeatedly reported them to Google. Many are removed eventually but more 5-star reviews arrive later in rapid succession. (Avery: the FTC is passing new laws that make this a serious offense, and if more fake reviews seem to show up here I will be reporting the company so they can investigate.) After earlier posting my honest assessment of the company, I was threatened over email with harassment and subsequently deleted my review. But I wont be intimidated by Avery for sharing my honest opinion about a company that gave me such a horrible and stressful experience. I wouldnt trust this company and encourage people to find a business that is legitimate, reputable and earns genuine positive reviews.

Use them for regular landscaping. Reliable and friendly.

We were customers for 2 years. It took months for them to respond to us for fall and spring clean up and they just completely no showed for fall clean up. Like ghosted us. We never heard back from them. For spring, it took them 3 months to get us in. We used them for multiple other projects like seeding our lawn. The seeding didn t take. Don t recommend.

Green Valley Landscaping (Kingston, NY) spoke very highly of their professionalism but we have seen the opposite. Their scheduling promises are merely lip service. They have ignored months of urgent requests to complete the first phase of their work, for which they were paid in full long ago. Worse yet, a second phase of work was promised at the same location. Despite our urgings all winter to plan the project and secure the materials, they did so only at the last minute. Then, at our most urgent time of need, they pulled out of the second phase and sent our payment back. The potential losses due to their negligence could be catastrophic for our company and certainly the opposite of what any contractor or homeowner needs. Since then, we have engaged an irrigation contractor to complete the phase 1 work Green Valley was supposed to do and it will cost us about $3k out of pocket. Do not trust Green Valley Landscaping.

Great service. I would recommend tem to everyone. They did a great job with our entire hardscape job. The landscape lighting turned out great.

Green Valley Landscaping did amazing work at our home. We had a lot of fences and tree damage, as well as overgrown brush impediment. This team came in and went above and beyond to create an entirely new yard! Well done and professional. I highly recommend this company!

Im not sure why they scheduled my gutter and lawn clean up and then NEVER BOTHERED TO SHOW UP. Rude

Planting new lawn, using topsoil that was full of small rocks and a lot of straw so we couldnt see the rock until the wind blew some straw away. We had them come back to no avail so my husband reseeded it himself and used shredded straw. It seems to be growing nicely now . Nothing like throwing over $1,000 out the door. My husband did a better job even with his bad knee and edema! Too big and too busy for small jobs!

Please do not waste your time contacting these people, they do not need your business. We had Avery out for a consult in March and he told us he would get us an estimate straight away. After a week of waiting we contacted the office and finally received the estimate. We contacted within a few days with adjustments we wanted and didnt hear back. Again we called and were told we would here back soon. We waited another week called again and were told we would get the revised quote ASAP. It is now May 15, havent heard back. Completely unprofessional, I wound up doing the work myself for a quarter of the price.

Avery and his team of professionals have done our lawn maintenance for 4 years and they are excellent! We recently hired them to do some new landscaping, poison ivy control and stone walkway building and they really made our property look amazing. I totally recommend Green Valley!

We had a great experience with Green Valley. We had 2 very large trees removed and the entire process was efficient and professional. The came out and provided us with a quote and were able to complete the job quickly. All of the employees were polite and professional. We were very happy with the services and would use them again.

Lets be clear of one thing. These guys have heart. It take a lot to impress me, but these guys deliver, install and maintain! Hands down the best. Price wise, sometimes they are in the middle and sometimes they cant be beat, but if quality is important then dont hesitate. Much love to Avery and the Green Valley crew.

Last season Green Valley installed our fence and patio around the pool. We live in Woodstock and spend all our summer days out doors. I am very happy with the overall job. Our budget was very small and we were worried we could not get the job done. Thanks to the Green Valley folks we now enjoy our backyard more than ever.

Very disappointed with the service! I had a 400 feet fence installed. The panels cost $ 68 each , including the posts etc the cost of materials amounted to $5000 and the original invoice at the time of the sale was $10 700. That would be a cost for digging each hole for the 50 post to be installed is $100. I have a $ 6 000 deposit with the agreement that the job was to be finish before Memorial Day. How ever the job did not started until 4 weeks later the Monday prior the holiday. First the show up with a crew of four and the proper equipment (specifically a tractor to perforate the holes for the post ) and I was told it would be a two day job but the next day the Equiptment was gone and only two workers were left to dig the holes by hand. By the time Friday came along they had 7 more posts and they hit some rock so the owner called me an informed that if I wanted the job to be finished I had to pay an additional $ 110 per hour for the use of the jack hammer and extra labor. I had no choice but to agree. They work with the jack hammer for 7 hours But I received an invoice for 12 hour. I requested that the difference be adjusted but in stead I got threaten with a lien on my home.

Pleasant small business to deal with. They were on time for the estimate and our patio looked better than I expected when the job was completed. My only regret is that we didnt get the built in fire pit. On the down side we should of contacted them sooner, because they had a 4 week lead time.

The past few weeks the weather has been scorching hot and our irrigation system was not working. We called 2 other companies and they were not able to repair our system properly. Avery at Green Valley came out and suggested we install a booster pump. Now our irrigation works better than before. Materials and labor we paid $725. I thought it was a great deal. I would recommend these guys

Excellent Job for Green Valley Landscaping Company! Great name and lovely employees! Im delighted to say that Liz does the best at managing everything. She is there every step of the way and making sure she has the precise measurements, and there are no miscommunications on neither end of the project from the workers to me. She works with you if you have a budget or want to see the different price range of the plants or materials, she will send you various estimates. From the start and probably one of the reasons why I got my fence was for privacy in the front yard, and on the day of the installment of my vinyl fence, there happened to be chaos coming from each neighbor trying to tell the workers what to do. Each worker handled everything Professionally and continued with their original plan as agreed on; despite the neighbors on top of them. The installation of the fence was finished the same day, and I couldnt have been much happy and at ease.

Green Valley Landscaping had very good customer service and were very nice. They work around you to make sure you get what you want out of their landscaping services. When it comes to tress, gardens, or just plain landscaping, they are the experts to call!

Is there another company called the same thing getting all the good reviews? How can it be that this works for some people? My experience this spring has been as if the company doesnt really exist but they have someone taking phone calls who promises things but it is her own private joke. Several weeks later, after many kind then a couple frustrated attempts to pin down dates that then got blown off, I cancelled. Twice she said she would check and get back to me then didnt, then when she got back to me and told me the exact block of time the crew would be here, they never showed up. No phone call, no accountability, nothing done by Mid-May and absolutely no reliable word from anyone.

WOW WOW WOW!!!! We are very pleased with the work we that was just got done in front of our home. Definitely will tell you to give these guys a shot. Work is amazing and so is the price. We will definitely use them again.

We are very satisfied with the services received from the folks at Green Valley. We had water about 12 inches high in the basement from a bad french drains. Well they came and fixed it better than new. Thank you guys!

So we called Green Valley Landscaping on a Monday late February 2017. They were here by Wednesday and landscaping was installed within 4 hrs. Everything looks great. We will be using them again. I love the new trucks they have.

We purchased our first house in Saugerties NY, in March of 2017. We tried to do it ourselves and was soon in over our heads. We called Green Valley landscaping and they were able to tackle both our front lawn and back lawn. When they were finished, the place looked amazing, well worth the money ..would recommend anytime.

They were the only company we found that is certified in irrigation installation, and did all phases of landscaping and decks also. They replaced our rotted deck and installed a drip irrigation in our back yard garden. Really good job.

We have a rental house in Kingston NY and have depended on Avery and Liz from Green Valley Landscaping to take care of the yard and to let us know when something needs to be done. He has been very dependable and responsive to us.

I got my front yard landscaped from Green Valley landscaping not too long ago and I am very happy with the overall outcome. The job was done on time and it turned out really great. The irrigation and lighting is just awesome and I really like how everything is on a timer, so, I dont have to do anything. I would recommend Avery and his crew to my friends and family. They installed 20x20 patio with fireplace and seating area. Very satisfied with their work. They did a great job, on time and really good clean up after completion.

Do not use them. I had the unfortunate experience of trusting them with our landscaping after reading the glowing reviews online. After a lot of back and forth, we agreed on a landscaping plan, which was pricey but was atleast what I wanted. Little did I know that they would come in and then never complete the work, like we had originally agreed to. I then tried many times to get them to correct their mistakes and complete the work, but no one from their office called me back or come back to finish the work as we had originally agreed to. Definitely, not worth the cost and their lack of real customer service and follow through was unsettling for a small local business.

When they plowed the snow on my driveway the decided to go onto the lawn and rip out my lawn, my neighbors lawn, and they destroyed a city main stub. When asked what they are going to do after performing such a service If you are looking for a experienced lawn care company that will handle all areas of landscaping and lawn care, these are the guys to call. Well worth the call. I would highly recommend!!!

The quality of work along with the great price was way more than what we were expecting. Very good job.

Abysmal. Two projects. 1) Install new steps, spindles and railings on existing deck, pressure wash, and stain entire deck and 2) Remove pavers from around inground pool and replace with concrete patio. The deck staining looked like a child did it. It was full of brush marks, missed areas/entirely unstained areas, swirls, running drips, splotchy patches, spills, and black ink from new wood showing through. As soon as I was able to walk on it and see the atrocity I contacted the owner/president of the company (Avery). He said, Ill send my guy over.. Then, nothing, and when I reached him a week later he argued that nothing was wrong, and nothing was done. When a different subcontractor came to start the patio/concrete project, I happened to be there and happened to see a guy that looked familiar. I showed him the numerous problems. Then the SAME subcontractor who did the original horrendous job shows up and hurriedly slapped on another coat of stain. When I showed him obvious areas he had missed again, he said, Im out of stain.. I stared at him, speechless, until he said he would try to mix the last drops of stain from all of the used cans and sloshed it onto those areas. Horrendous. The concrete patio seems to have been done well, except that this second subcontractor crew left a huge slab of concrete and 3 large piles of crushed stone on my property (as well as plastic cups and empty concrete bags). I asked the company to remove the concrete and waited all summer. It wasnt until three months later that the concrete was removed, and that was on the day he received notice of my dispute of the charges. They also left behind chunks of wood from the concrete framing, and the string line from that framing that I did not find until it tangled up my lawnmower. Horrible company, horrendous work, no ethics.
