We had a fantastic experience with The Gardeners from start to finish. Jason Pontbriant came up with a beautiful design and was willing to scale up on down based on our preferences and budget. He was also very patient with us as we went back and forth on ideas. Our project manager John Rombaldi and his on site crew (Bill and Jeff) were responsive and easy to work with. If any issues or concerns arose, they were on it immediately. Our project involved a fairly steep grading and the masons did an outstanding job on stone walls and stairs leading up from our driveway, and also on the patio. We worked with The Gardeners based on a recommendation from Easton Pools, and because they have such a great working relationship, we went with them. Together they were a well-oiled machine. I would not hesitate to use The Gardener’s again or recommend them.
We are so happy with our large planting project. Matt had excellent ideas for improving our space, and he was open to incorporating ideas that we had. Matt and his team are professional, kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They were patient with me when I changed my mind a couple of times on the placement of a new tree. Everything came out beautifully! Matt is very efficient with communication and wants his clients to be happy. Highly recommend The Gardeners!

We started working with Matt Desmarais and The Gardeners 6 years ago when building our pool and have been working with them ever since. Right from the start, Matt and his team came in with creative ideas and designs for the hardscaping, landscaping and lighting and it was not a small undertaking. They helped turn a hilly, crowded backyard into an expansive and peaceful oasis that we love and use year-round. They were meticulous in their work and always very professional and clean. They were also flexible and tackled any problems that arose as challenges to be solved. Because of the sloping backyard, they designed a raised beam with waterfalls that led to a great seating area with a firepit. They designed and built a beautiful retaining wall with lighting that beautifully frames the backyard and blends seamlessly into their landscape and lighting design. Their expertise on plants, trees and materials tied the entire backyard together. The Gardeners did such a fantastic job that we again used them to expand an outdoor space in Milton, MA and build a custom firepit that came out great. We continue to use them for maintenance at both properties. I highly recommend Matt and The Gardeners.

Met about a month ago now. Was told I would have a quote a week after we met. I texted the designer 2x with no response. This is not rocket science. Follow up is easy. I can t recommend these guys.
Matt was great, during a time when you were lucky to get any contractors to call you back he replied immediately to my voicemail and he took the time to understand exactly what we wanted, performed the work on time and came back immediately when I needed some of the landscape lighting tweaked. Two of my neighbors used him after seeing the landscape design he did on our house. Would definitely recommend him and will use him again.
Matt and his group has transformed my property into a paradise. From hardscape design, construction and planting layout to overall general maintenance and care services, they are amazing with the vast amount of talent they had. I highly recommend for whatever size project you might be considering.
We have used The Gardeners for years and have been pleased with the work. Matt (the owner) is very responsive when we have issues, including replanting a couple of bushes at no charge when they did not take to our yard. His crew is reliable and professional with the regular lawn care services along with the annual spring and fall work.

Ive used Duxbury Gardeners for landscaping and snow plowing over the last 10 years. Not one complaint, they are great.

Be careful. They do great work and of good quality, but the responsiveness, especially after the sale, is very poor. Our first project with them (pool patio, landscape, etc.) began in the Fall of 2017. While it was completed very late, they did a quality job, so we initiated a second project to redo the lighting around the pool in the Spring of this year. Here we are at the end of the Summer, and still no working lights around the pool. We went with a higher cost more reputable firm to avoid these issues.
We are very happy with The Gardeners!! Matt did an amazing job completely landscaping, our new home. We were very concerned about the conditions of our environment. We live on the marsh and are constantly exposed to high winds and salt. We wanted something that would look nice, be low maintenance and could withstand the elements. Matt gave us fantastic ideas! Best if all it is going to be a yard that will be maintenance free and look amazing year after year. You will be very happy with this company. They are so easy to work with, have great ideas and intall everything on a timely basis. Thanks for making our new home look beautiful!
