Jimmy was very pleasant to talk to. He also helped me out with a few marker so the aeration crew would be visually reminded of a temporary coax cable that goes across the yard whenever it is scheduled.

TruGreen does what they say they will do, and their specialist are efficient and proficient. If for some reason TruGreen cannot perform the service, you get notified and given a new date. This is why I continue to use TruGreen. Service and trust mean peace of mind. I do recommend TruGreen. They have been servicing my yard for years.

TruGreen is getting better. I continue to use the service for the last 6 plus years because the service actually controls weeds, and promotes lawn growth. They do come back and do a free service if the prior service doesnt work, and thats had to been done a few times. The problem I run into is in dealing with customer service. You cant call back the person who leaves you a message if youre not available to talk. It takes two years after you put a lawn it for it to mature but the product does work if you give it the time to do so.

Not happy with service. Tech was in my mailbox dropping off paperwork ( illegal). Service promised was not the service I received.

My yard has been treated three times since I started with Trugreen and I can see a vast improvement in the quality of my yard and in the color of the grass. Yard is much thicker and healthier. Glad I made the decision to have it done.

TruGreen showed up on time. Flower beds were treated for spring.

I feel Edward was thorough in spraying my lawn today, but he did the same thing that everyone else has done over the past year. They drag that hose around and through my brick chips and across the landscape stones. Last year one of the stones was pulled out and turned over. I watched the guy do that. The hose hung on the stone and he was trying to roll up the hose and when he saw it was hung he took hold of the hose and jerked it and pulled the stone out. There are notches on the ends to hold the stones. I called and complained and they said they would fix it and would stop dragging the hose across the stones. The havent stopped and no one fixed the stones.

I want to verify that the lower yard beside the driveway was treated. He treated around our house but I m not sure he did the part of the yard by the driveway (lower yard)

I called and set up service with the local office in Kingsport, TN. The salesman was very high pressure and assured me it would cover my whole yard. About the third application, they stopped doing my backyard because it was too steep. I had to call and complain each time to get them to return and treat the yard. Finally, I called and canceled the service after my annual contract expired. They came one more time after I canceled and billed me. I called several times to resolve the issue. The local manager is unresponsive to calls. I left multiple messages for him; he called and left me one voicemail, then never returned my calls. Now they turned my account over to collections. Be very careful doing business with Trugreen of Kingsport. Also, Google maps misidentified the location of the business. It is actually at: 2009 Brookside Ln, Kingsport, TN 37660

Very prompt, keeps me informed

I get many compliments on my yard. One of the main reasons is the service I receive from tru-green. I have always been particular about the yard and their service has my yard green and luscious.

Avoid Lindsey A she just refused to do the service because my dogs where in my garage and nit in kennel.I told her to leave i did not want her service and she said You would not talk like that if your dogs where not with you. She proceeded to throw her hands in the air and told me to come into the street to fight. What a real professional. I received a text message saying they were on their way at 3 o clock. She didn t show up until after 530. We had horrible service last year and they asked me to give them another chance at a discounted rate. I gave them a shot and once again they failed. I would find my services elsewhere unless you re looking for someone to come act like a thug at your house.

They dealt with a side yard full of crabgrass, started late in the season last year and there is still some crabgrass, Id say 75% is now gone. The team arrived as scheduled, completed their ticket, the yard is looking better everyday. I will say I wish it wasnt so expensive but, I love my yard full and green with no weeds.

Do fairly well for weed control, not sure about continuing service though. Poor communication. I use the Kingsport, TN branch which is impossible to speak to someone actually at that location. Calls routed to who knows where. Customer service is virtually nonexistent. Remote workers, need I say more?

Great service and it s helping but it s gonna take a few treatments to help I would have y all air rate the yard and fertilize it but for the size of our yard it s not much and the price to get it done is way to much for us but if there is other options for to help the yard please let me know thank you

Jimmy did a good job. He explained the process and what the treatment was good for. He s a hard worker even continued in the pouring rain.

Completed the job as representative described. Treated property with care and respect. After 4 months of treating, they almost killed our yard. We requested a specialist come look, and they sent the same person that had been treating it. The so-called specialist wrote out yard needed fertilizer. Same, dud had sprayed it with fertilizer the day before! Save yourself some money just go to lowes and buy some Scotts products.

Jimmy has been taking care of our property for several years. He is a true asset to Trugeen.

Saved on the price of seed, as well as aeration for my lawn. Great, beautiful results, my lawn is looking better than ever. Technicians were extremely helpful, and assisted greatly in the care of my turf. Definitely would recommend if you care about your property.

Jimmy Gilliam does a great job treating my trees and shrubs. Always finds out answers if he doesnt know the answer. A real asset. I give Jimmy FIVE STARS. Wish I could say the same for my weed and lawn care. My weeds stay out of control and never show up when I have a free service. Weed city in my back yard. I give lawn care a TWO.

TruGreen, Ive had mixed messages through the people who promote to Green, and the people who actually come out aerate fertilize. Im a little disappointed because Im hearing mixed messages. Well find out next summer if true Green really lives up to their name! 1,000 a year its way too much money to have a freaking yard. Well find out. If theyre true Green I will break about my yard! Ill even allow them to put a sign out in front of my yard!

I would like for TruGreen to find something that would kill Dallas grass and Bermuda grass. They are very invasive.

IN the two years of TruGreen services at our current home, we have been satisfied by the knowledge, professionalism, and friendliness of the technicians, as well as the results of the services provided. Today I had a chance to talk to Jimmy, who was performing fertilizing service for our bushes. As always, Jimmy was cheerful, and was able to give me great information for several lawn questions that I asked him. Keep up the great work!

I had a pleasant conversation with Edward. We discussed what had been done with the lawn and he gave advice about looking forward through next year.

Problems-Notification in advance is hit and miss.-Multiple times employee did NOT have enough product to complete the service. I had to arrange for a repeat visit and was told the system only allows for them to mark down as complete.-Rarely does the same employee come back. I have to make sure I am home to show them the boundary lines.-Worse of all, there have been 2x that I am definitely aware of where the service was marked as completed and no one showed up. Positives:-Employees are always friendly! I can only hope TruGreen treats their employees well. -The yard looks better than when I tend to it myself, it just takes loads of follow up with TruGreen.

Mosquito protection made a tremendous difference in our enjoyment of the outdoors and our backyard living space. We had never tried a mosquito defense service and found that it is well worth the cost. TruGreens applications work well and the company is very customer focused. If we saw any mosquitoes between services, rare and few, they returned quickly to retreat.

My True Green experience was very disappointing. Poor results and poor service. Please avoid this company at all cost. A gross waste of money. I canceled the service, after being offered a discount on three separate occasions.

I used trugreen for a year and all of a sudden I got a $250 charge on my credit card when calling they stated its a thing they do once a year I advised thats not something I was told nor did I agree with so I canceled my service thru them. 2 days later a trugreen agent pulls up in the front of my house said i was on his list to do my yard I told him its been canceled for days n that he was to leave. He left and yet still charged my card as if they had done my yard. I called advised i can provide video from the cameras on the front of the house where i told him to leave and he did. Was told they would refund me and never did. They even called asking what they can do for me to come back. Today i recieve a letter for not only the charge for the service that was never done but the $200 service I never approved from a collection agency. Im filing a complaint with the better business not only for trugreen but the ic collections dept who sent me this letter

Very hard to contact customer service and cancelling our lawn service took several phone calls and a lot of time waiting on hold. The online chat option was disfunctional and the chat rep was brief and quick to disconnect.

Called and ordered the service to kill crab grass in our ground covering. Was assured that would not be a problem. Even looked at the pictures of our house on Google maps and said multiple time ALL I want treated is the ground over that are shrubs. Have the fist treatment done, let it set for 10 days and NOTHING is turning brown. Call and they come back and still nothing. When they come for the second month, we want to talk to them so we track them on the app, but by the time the guy checked in, he is finished and gone. I call have him come back the next day to explain what was done. He tells us that he is her to fertilize the yard and can not spray the ground cover. So at this point we are finished, not worth 79.00 a month to have the service I do not need. So I call and cancel. Then I check my bank account and they have taken 111.00 out stating that I had 2 services of fertilizer done on the same day why would I ever do that???? So from the start this company is misleading. You are paying for something you can go to the feed store and apply yourself for less money considering the service (told by the services guy) takes less then 5 mins to apply. Would mot recommend this company to anyone! VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Ive been a Trugreen customer for years. I have both the lawn as well as the tree and shrub service. Ive always tried to get them to do the aeration and seeding, but they always fail to show up as scheduled. As most homeowners know, a lot of prep work is needed prior to aerating an seeding. This year they stood me up twice - and cant even bother to call me back. If you have ANY other option, use it. Save yourself from Trugreen.

Cancelling your service with TruGreen is like getting rid of the weed you hired them to take care of. They wont go away. If you choose to use them, be sure to record each time you speak to them (and who you spoke to), or you will cancel your service THREE times and yet they keep coming back. Theyll say they have no record of your previous calls too.

This place is a joke I paid a year for fleas now they are worse then before they came out

The Kingsport, TN Branch is still a no show after three conversations and three weeks of waiting. I called the main branch Friday morning and was promised I would get a call that day, here it is Monday 2:15 PM and still no call. They promised not to to spray my hard again until local management came. Guess what? They sprayed while I was not home:-( My yard went from one of the nicest yards on the block to one of the worst. I guess I made the mistake of paying in full. They have my money, so they are in no hurry to respond to my requests or send someone out to see my lawn and answer my questions and concerns. Promises not kept. I advise readers to DIY or hire a locally owned business and not a chain. If they will take advantage of a disabled Vet. they will do you the same way or worse. My only hope is that corporate will finally step in and take care of a customer.

Two treatments missed for my weed and feed had to call to come out for weed and feed on July and then i called today 9/22/20 and they said services done for year 2020 and treatment #5 i did not get now i will have 3 treatments for 2021 and clover,etc all in my yard. Not very happy with this kind of service. Now I will receive 3 treatments for 2020 and 3 for 2021 not very professional.

I think Tru Green did a little Bait & Switch with me. The salesman look at my yard and quoted based on a satellite image ( I think). We went over the details of which areas to treat and gave me a price. Some time later, they found out that they grossly miscalculated my area and wanted to charge more. In their defense, they did finally agree to finish out the year at the agreed price. Bottom line: there service was good, their results were not. I will not be using them in the future since my lawn still looks the same as before Tru Green.

Very pleased with the service. I can definitely tell a difference in my lawn. The grass is healthier and more resilient and the weed control is excellent. Although my grass is green, it isnt any greener than the other yards in my neighborhood. This may be due to the large amounts of rain that we have received over the last year, but definitely not any greener. They are a little pricey for guaranteeing that your grass would be the greenest in the neighborhood....and it is not.

I just wish that they would call and let you know when they cancel a sheduled service.

We have been very pleased with their mosquito control but we needed 2 sprays recently and one of them did not do the lower portion of the property where most of our mosquitos come from and we have had a resurgence of our insect problems. I have talked to the employees about the importance of the lower level spraying.

My yard had been neglected for the past 3 years as I spent my time caring for my husband who had 3 strokes over the past 5 years. I was the lawn mower and he ran the vacuum cleaner. We made an ideal couple. I saw what TruGreen Lawn Care can do for a lawn as they treated a neighbors back in the spring. It also had been neglected for some time. When I called for information regarding the service provided and the cost for the same, I felt it was my best choice for my lawns recovery. Everyone that I have talked with, especially the men who have come for treatment on the lawn, has been extremely courteous and pains taking in explaining the methods of treatment and answering any questions I might have. With a little rain from time to time, I am confident that my lawn will once again be one that I can be proud of. Respectfully, Frances Perry

Two services in and thus far everything is going great. I have unfortunately not been home at the time of service to meet my service representative, however communication left on my receipt is informative and straight forward. Suggestions on mowing height and care are greatly appreciated. My yard is looking better already.

After 3 weeks of trying to get Samuel (supervisor) to come out and look at my brown yard after 2 years of service he finally called me back on Monday morning. He left a message saying he would be out that afternoon to look at my yard and to come up with a plan to fix it. Well, it is now Thursday afternoon and still no visit from Samuel!!! I just called Trugreen to cancel my service. They are a horrible company who is after quantity not quailty!!

Unbelievable! They only treated a small portion of what was contracted. No followup on complaints. Weeds never turned yellow/brown. Yard looks lots worse than when I did it myself. Also, mosquito control is absolute joke. Cancelled and requested a refund but they refused. If I had video of their non-treatment, I would sue. If you hire them, you have been warned of the service you are likely to receive!

My husband went to the truegreen website and typed in our information so that someone could contact us about pricing/consultation. A female contacted my husband the same afternoon and was pleasant at first. She discussed several packages with my husband beginning at $1700 annually and after a bit of back and forth discussion price him a package for around $80 per month. My husband told the rep (who never identified herself) that the price may be a little higher than what he wanted to spend but that he would consult me and get back to her. She became rude and confrontational. She spent the next two minutes questioning him and trying to pressure him into a commitment. He finally had enough and started to tell the rep that he did not appreciate how she was acting and that he would not be pressured into anything AND SHE HUNG UP ON HIM MID SENTENCE!!! Needless to say she made our decision easy. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Robert Morris service our lawn and did a fantastic job. He knew all the answers to the questions about our lawn care we had. He has a great personality!! We have had TruGreen since 2010 and they have always done a good job servicing our lawn. We would highly recommend them for your lawn care!

Terrible service. The folks on the phone explained the service. 1/2 price first application. I was told I could modify service to my needs. I signed on. I was told I would receive a phone call in 3 - 5 days. The next day a guy showed up and said he was spreading lime. I said I didnt ask for lime I asked for weed control. He said it was for the health of the lawn. What he or nobody else said was...this was a separate 96$ fee. Then 2 weeks later the weed guy shows up...WITHOUT calling first as I was promised. So...no calls, now warning or person to talk to, and an extra 96$ charge for a service I did not agree to. Spend my money wisely because there wont be any more. I cancelled.

Jimmy Gilliam, technician with TruGreen, services the Boulder Court area. On September 21, Thursday, Jimmy, was essential in rescuing his client, Eileen White. His being trained in First Aid was good to know. We could hear sounds from inside the house, however, all doors and windows appeared locked. Jimmy rushed to the back of the house, found a window to open. Jimmy stayed until As an added note, the yard was treated to perfection. TruGreen rocks!

First off their customer service is quite helpful, but I have had nothing but problems. They made promises and didn t follow through. In their defense they are fixing that now and going above and beyond to right the wrong. I am quite thankful for this. But they have treated my yard unannounced and I was charged for it. They also treated only parts of my yard and I was charged full price. The communication from their office to their technicians needs improvement. Was also told I had a credit on my account and then was charged fully and then when i called to get a full refund, which had already happened multiple times due to their mistakes, I was told I could only get half back since they treated the yard twice. I wouldn t have had the yard treated if it wasn t free. Nothing but problems. Hope you have a better experience. They came highly rated but my experience has been terrible!
