We recently utilized Mills for tree trimming and landscaping services associated with the installation of a new pool. They were prompt in their response for a proposal, fair in the pricing for services, and creative in the design proposed. They made a firm commitment on a start date and lived up to that commitment. They were super diligent in the preparation phase for the landscaping and far exceeded our expectations for quality of work. The tree trimming around a new pool was delicate but performed safely and efficiently. We were delighted with the entire process! Additionally, their staff was respectful and fun to work with. I will use them for my next project and advise all to give them your opportunity!
My wife and I have utilized the great services of Mills for over a decade. From extensive land irrigation systems installed and well maintained by Derek and his crew, landscaping advice and service by Travis, to extensive tree maintenance and removal by Jared and his crew, we could not be more satisfied. Bradlee has well trained his staff to be very respectful and pleasant to work with, but very focused as a team on their work, especially when there is potential danger to his staff, such as tree maintenance and removal. I have taken videos of Jared and his crew maintaining and removing trees that would blow your mind. I would highly recommend Mills for the multiple services they provide.
Just had my trees trimmed and a giant oak (sadly damaged beyond saving) removed by Mills. They were exceptional! From bidding, to scheduling and getting it done, they were great communicators - concerned about my needs and what the best actions would be for the long term. They were on time, safety conscious and left the property in excellent condition. It took most of the day and throughout they checked with me for any concerns or choices they were making on trimming and removal. I have had tree work done by statewide companies and smaller local operators and none compared with the service and quality Mills gave me. I was referred to them by a satisfied neighbor and I will use them again.Thanks Jared, Bradley and crew!
We have had the best experience with Mills Services! From quoting, to scheduling to getting the work done. We had a challenging driveway area and several projects we wanted to address that included tearing out a rock retaining wall removing and replacing river rock, adding some landscape beds, fence and more. Their crews showed up timely, acted professionally, worked quickly and did great quality work. They would leave the job site so clean at the end of every day. We would highly recommend this company.
Totally unprofessional. Had them over for a landscaping quote, they quoted it. Tried to schedule it a month ahead of time, and he said he would squeeze my 1/2 day job in early in month. After a week of not hearing from them, I called in and they gave me the run around when trying to schedule. Then they said it would be 2 months out after they got "a larger job and bumped me off my schedule". Then after trying to reschedule, they called and said they could not do the job. Just totally unprofessional and rude people. Totally screwed up our timeline and subs who we lined up to come after them. Find someone else with integrity to do your job. To your reply: simply not true. I called once a week to the office and tried to text you without response. Office had no clue what was going on, and barely listened to what I was trying to communicate. Said you’d call, but you never did. Only after a week or more of no communication, I called more aggressively to try to get on the schedule in February. Then was told you couldn’t do the job. You actually threatened me buddy. Have the text to prove it.
I had a huge Sycamore tree branch fall on my car in June 2019, blocking my front door. I called Mills Services and the guys were here in less than 30 minutes. They cleared a path for me to exit and moved the branch off my car. They came back the next day and began the removal of 2 huge Sycamore trees. They completed this job without dropping one branch on my neighbor's property. I was very impressed. So I hired them to fix the mess that the flood of 2018 had caused in my back area. Derek and his crew worked several weeks totally restructuring my waterfront landscape, finding and planting over 100 trees, laying new sod, placing decorative stone, repairing my retaining wall, repairing damaged irrigation system and installing metal fencing. They did an incredible job. They have maintained my lawn and irrigation system since then. The guys are total professionals. I am thankful that I have them and I highly recommend Mills Services.
Our POA hired Mills for their tree trimming service and was very pleased with their entire process. Great communication, fair pricing, timely response, post work cleanup was thorough, and expert knowledge of oak tree maintenance.
Hands-down, the hardest working guys in Kingsland
Mills Services personnel were on time and provided excellent service which exceeded my expectations. All Trees were serviced in a very professional manner and the area was cleaned of all debris. We have another property that was also in need of service that was provided later the same afternoon. Due to this I am now asking for a quote to install an Irrigation System and sod for my additional property.

I had Mills remove 7 trees killed or damaged in the Big Texas Freeze. I also had 7 other large trees pruned. It took a crew of 4 about 8 hours to do the work. The crew worked hard and steady and did good work. The work included a chipper to remove material and haul away. They also used a bucket truck for the trimming plus multiple chain saws etc. They charged me $5,000. I had been trying to get a crew in for months but many others in this area had tree damage and all the crews were busy. Mills job estimator showed up the day after I contacted them. The crew showed up 2 days later to do the work. I was well satisfied with them and tip the crew well.
The dirt, grass and lighting was installed quickly and professionally by Derek and his team. We are very pleased with the results and support after the installation.

Maintenance and repair of sprinkler system.
They have built iron fencing, helped to clean out our boat slip and performed general maintenance. Derek at Mills Services has always been fair in pricing and very responsive regardless of the project. They were recommended to me and I will pass it on to others.

Mills takes care of all our landscaping needs. They designed and landscaped our backyard, they trim our trees, weekly lawn care and take care of our sprinkler system. They are courteous and dependable. We highly suggest them!

Tree Trimming
Excellent service for a multitude of needs from building a mailbox to resurfacing a gravel roadway. Always reliable and good value with attention to detail. Would highly recommend!

Installed system and if I had any issues they fixed it within one day after I called. Zebra muscles became a problem, I called and they cleaned out and installed a unit to keep muscles away from intake. Great service and friendly people.
Our sprinkler line was cut by a contractor working next door. I called Mills and they were able to have someone come to do a temporary repair that day. Cooter and his crew called to let us know they were coming and completed the repair. Cooter was also able to schedule an appointment to permanently repair the line. I was impressed with his professionalism and his work. We will definetly use them again.
They came in an emergency to remove a large large limb that was wedged in the tree and on my roof 20 feet up. It could have done some serious damage to some large windows or anyone walking by. I really appreciated the quick response!!

Mills is awesome! Theyre very respectful, know their stuff and work as about as hard as Ive seen anyone work. They always do a little extra and do the little things to make each job perfect. Just like they would like a contractor to do for them. They spend my money as if its their money and treat my project like its their project. Totally trust them and would not even consider another landscape company.
I was very pleased with the tree trimming Mills Services did for me. They were professional, very nice people to work with, and reasonable in price.
Brad and Jared went above and beyond to expedite the trimming of our trees so demolition of our home could take place on schedule. This involved several before and after hours visits. They also treated a tree fungus that Jared immediately noticed and 2 other companies completely overlooked. Great experience-we definitely recommend Mills Services.
Put down ground cover and planted plants
We own half a lake channel bed which we are required to maintain. It had become overgrown and needed to cleaned of vegetation. The Mills crew did an excellent job in this regard. We would not hesitate to use them again in the future. Thanks.

They removed a very large pine tree that was hard to reach, disposed of all the wood, and trimmed some trees that had freeze damage. They did a great job!
This is the first time weve used Mills Services. We had them add sod and redo yard contours, replace all sod, replace the existing sprinkler system, add customized steps from house to boat dock and expand driveway to ease entrance and increase parking. We cant say enough about Derek, Travis and Mills commitment to service and quality. I would highly recommend Mills Services to anyone needing these types of services. They are highly knowledgeable, skilled and experienced.

Used Mills for 4 years for lawn service. The quality of the work was initially spotty (including one year where they didnt service my house at the same frequency as my neighbor who paid the same amount). The last year, after the price increase, the lawn service was better. Had a bad experience with their irrigation service. They were unable to install correctly a controller I provided (which they said they could install) and I was overcharged for a trip to fix it (which didnt fix anything). I was told I didnt answer the phone during that trip despite having record of the calls made. Maybe the service is OK just for the lawn. Updated my review to one star for horrible customer service. Can not recommend at all.

Had them install a brand new transmission on our truck. Paid them over $2800.00. Truck never ran afterwards but we had already invested so much money we didnt have the funds to take it to another shop. Truck sat in our driveway until we could afford to take it somewhere else. They just called me back stating that Mills Auto repair had failed to put a total of 18 bolts to hold the transmission in place. Some that were put on were only hand tightened. They told me that if it would have been able to drive my transmission would have fell out going down the road. This place is a RIP off and a joke! Shame on them!!!
prices were great, these guys came on time, stayed late, cleaned up perfect, and did extra at no charge, not used to seeing contractors that do what they say. would recommend them and they can use me as a reference. 10 stars

Planted yard 2/28/18. Paid Mills 3/1/18. Had nothing but problems, they promised to replant . This is November 5, have NOT seen them yet. I dont know who gave the 5 star rating,but I am guessing a misprint. If their unfilled promises were cow manure, they could grow anything. .
Jamie has had our truck for almost 3 weeks. Every day its been one excuse after the other. My husband called Jamie on Friday and some chic answered saying they were out of town and didnt know when they were coming back. SERIOUSLY? Thats what you tell a customer? The sign says FULL SERVICE AUTO REPAIR. According to who exactly? Two mechanics walked out, that should tell you something. These people are not professional by any means. The customer service SUCKS! Do yourself a favor, take your business somewhere else!! If the review had A (negative)- Id use it. Because this place isnt worthy of a whole star!
They were prompt and professional with the actual service - trees pruned, lawn stripped and re-done. It looked nice. However, I had follow up questions and just did not get answers no matter how many times I contacted them. I felt like they only wanted my money and then felt free to ignore me after the work was completed. Not a great way to run a business anywhere but certainly not in a small town... theyll run out of customers before long! I would not recommend tthis company to any of my friends.
I paid in full for sod grass on 8/8/17 and waited for it to arrive. On 8/21/17 I went to the office to see when it was going to arrive and was told they got a truck in but used all the grass for themselves. Then when I made the remark that I had paid for it already the owner jump off the sofa and told me to leave his office. I did not leave until I finally got my money back. I would give them a minus star if possible, however I have to at least give them one undeserving star. The ladies in the office were always great, just do not deal with the hot-headed owner
