One of the best jobs i had

We had them come out to add mulch and a few bushes around our home. They were great to work with and ensured we were happy with the results they provided.

Ideal has comleted a landscaping project and provided weekly lawn service over the last several months. No problems on either project. Their employees and managers have exceeded our expectations. Josh keeps us informed, visiting the property on a routine basis to insure Ideal Landscaping is meeting their contractial requirements. GREAT JOB !!! Robert kemp

This company seems to have competent people to get the job done. The customer service team too seems be very friendly.

The technician listened to my concern. He considered the issue and quickly identified the problem. He then took the time to educate me further about the irrigation system.

Unbelievably dangerous drivers. Recklessly unaware. On 9/25/24 at 2:30 PM I was driving on I-40 traveling West out of Raleigh where it intersects I-885 into Durham. A Ideal Landscaping & Irrigation truck with a trailer hauling an orange Ditch Witch was driving in the lane next to me. They suddenly changed lanes right into my lane, nearly hitting me and causing me to swerve all the way off of the road to avoid being hit. They did not check their blind spot or maybe even their mirrors as they swung fully into my lane, with their towed trailer, without looking for any cars. Even as I was honking and swerving out of the way, they never adjusted their steering to go back into their lane or try to avoid me at all. Im not convinced they ever saw me. A car was in the lane they were merging into, and even as it was honking and swerving to avoid their trailer, they made no attempt to correct their driving. Were they tired, texting, drunk, hungover, strung out on amphetamines? Just stupid? A combination? If I had been paying less attention I would have ended up underneath their trailer. If this companys landscaping at all resembles the driving of their employees, it is very, very, very, very bad. I will take this review down if Ideal Landscaping & Irrigation provides proof that they have taken this employee off of their roster of people who can drive their company vehicles, or provides proof that this person has attended driving lessons completed after 9/25/24. If this review is still visible, that means that someone incredibly dangerous and bad at driving is out there in an Ideal Landscaping & Irrigation company vehicle causing mayhem on the highway.

Grant was excellent to work with. Highly professional and exceeded my expectations in customer service. I am so grateful for the beautiful work he did to repair our landscapr lighting.

Worst experience ever. I paid $5,000 to have sod put in my front yard. My front yard has lots of rocks and red dirt. The representative agreed that they would put down a nice layer of topsoil before applying the sod. After returning home from work I notice the crew finishing up the job with no topsoil at all under the sod. I called the representative and he was amazed to hear they never added the topsoil. He stated he would call his boss and get right back with me which he didnt do. The crew completed the job without topsoil anyway. Immediately that same day the company sent a representative to my home to press me for the remaining balance of the job which I paid reluctantly. After a week the grass started dying and I called the representative and told him something was wrong. He stated he would come by that week and have a look at it. The representative never showed up. I called the next week and he gave me many excuses why he never made it and said he would definitely come out this week and look at the grass. Another week past and still no rep came to even look at the problem. The grass continued to get worse every week until it all died in about 3-4 weeks. I ask the the company since I paid for sod and you didnt or forgot to put it in my job why havent the company atleast contacted me about some type of reimbursement. A week later I received a $100 check from the company. Apparently in some other universe $100 will cover the cost of 2,100 sqft of topsoil and labor to install it. I had the same problem with the company a few months before about their reps not sending a estimate for over a month and I let them tell me all kinds of lies to get me to trust them to let them do my job. Now Im out $5,000 and about $400 trying to water some grass that couldnt even have a chance to survive simply because I dealt with a company that doesnt care at all about any customer or the final results or their workmanship. They even had to add topsoil in the contract and still dont care that they stole my hard-earned money and didnt give me what was promised or what was written on the contract. They also was supposed to add a fungal treatment and a moisture management treatment after the installation of the sod and the rep who was the project manager didnt even have a clue that was on the contract. Apparently the project manager doesnt even get a copy of the contract. I posted this review because I dont want them to take advantage of anyone else like they have done me. They simply dont care about the homeowner getting a great job, they only care about getting the money and getting out of their. Do not trust these guys .. I would post pictures of my yard but I cant figure out how to upload them

We use them for regular mowing, weed treatment, fertilizer, irrigation and lighting. We are happy with all the services! We ve recommended them to our neighbors.

Ideal landscaping is IDEAL. We have used Ideal for many projects and have always been pleased. Daniel Sumrall helped us most recently with our patio. AWESOME JOB!!! We would highly recommend Ideal Landscaping for your needs!!!

If you want a company that doesnt stand by there warranty this is the one for you. They just want your money, all down hill after that.

Back in October I had a gentleman by the name of Chris come put to give me a quote after numerous calls and messages not one person had the decency to call me and give me the quote. They have gone so low to block me on messenger. If I didnt know better I would say Ideal Landscaping is closing.

Poor communication. I used Ryan for the irrigation service. Had to keep reaching out to him. Part of the job (wiring) was already completed for them and I was still getting charged full price . some aspects did not look professional, when i reached out to him 3x he never got back with me, even sent pictures. The job was completed in December and disabled for the winter. Now I must pay 150 to have the water turned on.

Aldo and his crew, Fidel and Uriel, were fantastic! Not only did they deliver on time, they were professional, respectful and accommodating. Aldo made suggestions throughout the project that prevented us from making mistakes that we never considered. The finished product far exceeded our expectations and we couldnt be happier with the results! And kudos to Matt for going out of his way to wrap up the finishing touches. We gladly recommend Ideal for their integrity, customer service and quality work!

They seem to have a lot of trucks on the road and they service some of my neighbors unfortunately when I called to get a quote for them to service two of my properties they said they would give me a floating call back window between 1-4 the next day. They sent me an email to confirm the floating apartment and then never called. I responded to the email saying no one ever called and they simply said someone will call you tomorrow in the same floating timeframe and no one did. So with that being said (or lack there of) I decided that s probably what doing business with them would be like, a lot of we ll be there Monday and not showing up. So I wish them the best but I think it s for the best, I think I dodged a bullet here. There s plenty of landscaping companies in town

We were very pleased with the project that Ideal did for us. Communication throughout the process was great. They have a pre-construction meeting so everyone know exactly what will happen. The install was done very professionally and completed on time. We would highly recommend!

New patio and walkway with hardscape, veneer, outdoor kitchen with built in grill, and overhead lighting. Comprehensive drainage system with dry creek and river rocks. Installation of an underground irrigation system that I can manage with an app on my phone. New sod and planting beds with camellias, azaleas, etc. Extremely receptive team of professionals responding to my frequent calls and texts. Impressively hardworking, kind, and considerate labor team staying on site 10 hours a day. All for the most affordable pricing I could find in the area. This is the first time I have ever reviewed anything online and Im doing it now because they deserve this recognition. Thank you Ideal!

Inexperienced managers. New guys not trained just tossed on board. Foreman running around without direction. They cant keep people due to poor management and their lazy managers that walk around spraying weeds. The company is a joke.

Got quote from salesman Matt after he visited property indicating needs. I am disabled and only have a lot property. Told him I could pay $100/week or $400/month...he said he would work on quote! Got the quote today... one-time renovation fee was over $4000! They sub out work in maintenance phase, plus have to pay their folks to remove debris, which translates to picking up sticks!!!

This company is awesome. They came out to my property and listened to what I had in mind and provided me with a very detailed estimate for landscaping and the process was pain free to get started and it was such a weight off my back. I didn t know my property could look as good as it does from where it was. It was overgrown and neglected and they said it would take time but with regular maintenance it has been transformed. They do such a good job and keep everything looking great. I wouldn t want to go with another company. Easiest process and most professional experience with landscapers I ve ever had. Thank you

I cant recommend highly enough the people at Ideal Landscaping. They listened to our needs and presented us with several options to fit potential budgets and never pushed us into something we wouldnt feel comfortable taking on. The team was responsive throughout the process as we had questions, competitive on price, and was able to start and complete the work much faster than other companies had promised. Weve received amazing feedback from family and friends on the improvement to our backyard.

Hired for lawn & grading. -Argued & accused client of lying on property, putting blame on customer when results were not satisfactory -Lacked on followups -Poor installation of matting -Destroyed several crawl drains and a tree -Overpriced. 5k for results in picture attached -No partial refunds or fixes Ended up hiring a different landscaper after and the job came out great. Buyer beware.

Had medium-sized hardscaping and landscaping done by Ideal. (Brought design from elsewhere.) Managers were helpful and responsive, and the crews were terrific. Friendly, worked hard. We were very happy with the experience of working with them all, and with the results. They started earlier than we expected, and they finished even more promptly. (5 working days altogether.) Would be happy to use them again, or recommend to friends.

Daniel and his crew above and beyond to make sure our project went as smoothly as possible. Our patio turned out better than we envisioned. Would def recommend these guys for any landscape/hardscape and irrigation needs!

Still waiting on a call back after a month. Guess they have enough business. Edit..The company contacted me after my review. Found out that there answering service were the ones not passing the messages to them. They have apologized and have been beyond helpful.

If you need work outside of your home then Ideal Landscaping is the right call. They offer great attention to detail and very conscientious about the quality of work. I have tried several others in the area and no one comes close. Will be working with Ken and crew again. Thanks guys!

We re thrilled with our landscaping from Ideal! We had trees and shrubs planted around our yard this year and a patio and irrigation system installed last year along with their turf program, and they ve done a fantastic job with all of it! Chris, Daniel, Wayne, Francisco and Thomas were all very professional and thorough, and handled all of our questions/concerns with great customer service! We highly recommend Ideal and plan to use them again if we have any future landscaping needs!

We used Ideal Landscaping Service for an initial consultation and beautification for our lawn. Jeremy quoted a price of $540.00 For front yard initial service; and when we received the bill it was $747.00. Jeremy stated the reason for increased price was because they trimmed the bushes. We decided to pay since they did a good job; even though his billing system delayed his payment. We decided to use him again to mow the grass a month later. Jeremy quoted a price of $45.00 and we agreed last week to obtain service that week. After several days and no call back; I followed up to find out when he could come cut the grass. He apologized and said he had a family urgency and forgot to let his staff know to cut the lawn and that he would have it cut this past Monday. Well Today is Wednesday and the grass still had not been cut. I called and left a voicemail to get status. Jeremy called my son in law back and said the price went up to $600.00 per month to mow our grass. Of course we found someone else to mow the grass for $45.00. Jeremy demonstrated inconsistencies in price quotes, billing and prices. He took advantage of his ability to change the price after the work was completed. We don t recommend Ideal Landscaping Services due to inconsistent quotes and price gouging. Sincerely, Yahweh

I cant speak highly enough of the team at ideal. They have done a fantastic job from start to finish. They helped us with a large project including stone work, plantings, irrigation, grading, and seeding. They were very responsive and easy to communicate with on the front side. They then quickly arranged and estimate which was very detailed and fairly priced (actually came in below what I had thought it would). Then as the project approached then arranged meetings to discuss the plan and perform walkthroughs. The work was phenomenal and the workers friendly and kept everything clean and tidy each day. The end job looked better than how I had hoped and was above and beyond. I would strongly recommend that you give ideal a call. You wont be disappointed.

I chose Ideal Landscaping based on word of mouth and good reviews. Little did I know they were about to exceed my expectations! From Aaron, who worked with us over the last six months to find the perfect solution to our erosion problem, and make our patio beautiful, to his crew who did the work. Devon, Esli, Aldo and Joel! I cannot thank you enough. From the very start, materials were on time, placed accordingly, and used efficiently. These are top notch installers. If there were ever a question, we were involved so we understood everything. They worked in the cold, wet, nasty weather to be sure it all got completed not just on time, but a day early! They cleaned up every single day! They were beyond polite and friendly arriving every day earlier than expected and working until the sun went down. When finished for the day, they were sure to close our backyard gates securely knowing we had our crazy pups to let out. They were careful around all our concrete sidewalks and plants, being sure to pressure wash our driveway and sidewalk upon completion. I would go on and on if I could! Great design, implementation and follow-up! They turned our backyard wasteland into a backyard wonderland!

Contacted Ideal Landscaping for a large project. They came out and said that we would need to break the project into three phases. I was looking to have the existing gardens (three different gardens, one included a walking path) cut down and replaced with new landscaping, mulching in all beds, and regrading and reseeding of the lawn. I was told that they could start phase one in about three weeks. It was agreed upon. After waiting 5 weeks and a half dozen calls they finally subcontracted that to another company. After a week of work and close to $5,000 half of phase one was complete. I called over a half dozen times in the next two weeks and never heard anything back from them. The gardens are completely overgrown again and I wasted my money and time. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Ideal installed a natural stone floor under a recently completed patio cover. Workmanship was excellent and the project was finished on time. We were completely satisfied. At Ideal s suggestion after 6-9 months had passed, we had them put a sealant over the stone. The sealant showed scratches when furniture was moved, which we reported to Ideal. Daniel Sumrall with Ideal came to our house to see the situation, and worked tirelessly to resolve the problem. Daniel s work was excellent, and he always responded promptly to our texts, keeping us fully informed. Ideal Landscaping does high quality work, and I would highly recommend them - and especially Daniel Sumrall - for any hardscape project you may be considering. B. Morgan

This company did not meet expectations. I called to see about getting an estimate for work that I would want completed after the first of the year however needed an estimate for by 11/14. Chris called me back on 10/28 and spoke with me in a timely fashion after that I haven t heard from him in weeks. I sent a follow up email 11/8 checking in as I had not received an estimate yet, the email did not get a response. A phone call was made on 11/12 asking for a return call and that still hasn t happened. The estimate did get to me the day after it was requested.

I highly recommend Ideal! They were amazing to work with, and made our sad yard a beautiful oasis. Devon and his team (and Aaron) were masters at problem solving and working through any issue that came up. From hardscaping, sod, fencing, tree removal, etc., they were always very communicative and clearly care about their work and their clients. We felt very taken care of every step of the way, and they were very expedient! Thank you, Ideal team!

Thanks to Tucker @Next To Nature for the great Architectural Design, to Aaron @Ideal Landscaping & Irrigation, to Devon Patterson, the Project Manager and to Donnie, the Foreman and his crew for all of their hard work in making our design a reality. It took 6 ½ weeks to get an approval from our HOA. Thanks to Aaron, who answered all of their questions, we were approved without any changes to the original design. The project took almost 7 weeks with a short punch list that was acted on almost immediately. Devon was here most days and fielded questions and spoke to us about changes he thought would be worthwhile doing as well as jumping in and working with the crew. We asked Donnie questions about the implementation of our design and received answers immediately. Our best advice is stay on top of your project, make changes early and ask questions if you are unsure what the next step is in your project . We also want to thank Seth Adcock @Premier Building Solutions for all of his hard work. Seth is so very talented and always on point! We love our new roof, soffits, fascia and columns. Our home is painted and the installation of our new gutters, leaders and shutters should be completed soon. We are looking forward to our new shed which will be built by Seth! Thank you all so much for giving us the outdoor spaces we ve always wanted! Looking forward to entertaining our friends and family this Spring and Summer!

Ideal transformed our backyard. Building a new deck and fire pit as well as a pergola. Always punctual. Devon is great to work with...very responsive. We love the outdoor space that was also landscaped by Ideal. Thanks for the beautiful space!

The worst part of our home is now the BEST! These guys truly are amazing. We did a back-yard project, transforming our extremely sloped back yard into our oasis. We have multiple retaining walls, odd shaped patio designs using pavers, multiple boulders, stepping stones, sod, and landscaping. Ideal was ready for this challenge. From inception to completion, Aaron, Chris, Devon and their team handled every curve ball we threw at them professionally and timely. The project started off in December. We had some serious cold weather and experienced a couple of snow delays. Mother nature didn t agree with our timeline. However, to try and keep us as close to schedule as possible, I came home numerous days to find the guys huddling around our firepit, warming up, before going back to digging in almost frozen ground. They were very committed. Since this project kicked off just before the holidays, they delivered Poinsettias to our neighbors, as a Pardon the mess in the cul-de-sac gift. A few days before Christmas they came out with a truck and removed all the supplies and equipment, and cleaned the street so it wouldn t be a nuisance. I threw a number of change-requests at them, some easy, some not so easy, but they were able to handle it in stride, adjust the plan/estimate, and have additional product onsite the following day. Speaking of product, Aaron was able to guide us in the right direction when selecting the right product for the job yet helping to keep us in budget. All the hardscape and landscape products are high quality. Not everything was perfect. There ended up being a couple of low spots on our paver patio after the frozen ground had thawed and settled. Devon and his guys were out to pull it up and repair it the day after I reported it. One of the retaining walls didn t square up properly after it was complete. I didn t even notice it. I just found them tearing down a completed wall one afternoon and rebuilding it. On their own time at their own cost. They were very responsive and dedicated to making our project match our vision. In the end we have a place for entertaining and relaxing, better than we could have imagined. Aaron kept us within budget, except for where we chose to go over and beyond budget. Even then, he made concessions to make sure we were happy and got exactly what we wanted. We get so many compliments from neighbors and friends on the transformation. Ideal will be my choice for landscape/hardscape whenever needed in the future. Expectations far exceeded!

Ideal Landscaping and I have collaborated on some recent projects. I have a professional photography business here in the triad that specializes in commercial work and the projects we have captured together have been amazing. Their vision and attention to detail is some of the best work I have seen! I would recommend them to anyone that needs help making their property fresh and ideal for entertainment.

Ideal Landscaping installed a sprinkler system and a drive way apron at our house. We are very satisfied with the installation and workmanship.
