I wont lie, under the previous owners Epic had gone steadily downhill in both quality and reliability over the years. In fact, last year was going to be the final year we planned on using their services. But our own absent-mindedness earned them a renewal. And boy, I am excited to see what changes the new management has in store. Already I can see a noticeable difference for the better. Diego and Luis did such a thorough job on the Spring cleanup today that I almost feel guilty. The only hitch was an extra charge to finish the job (the previous cleanup in Oct/Nov left a LOT to finish, more than two hours permitted) which while annoying, is understandable considering the sheer size of the job. Another nice thing is Jim, who was a one man force of nature getting yards taken care of, is now the quality control officer (a new position I hope they keep him in). A couple hours after Diego and Luis finished Jim came by to inspect their work. Now, will this higher quality and standards keep going? I hope so. Are their services worth employing? At least in my opinion, yes. Their costs are comparable to some of the more established companies and I do recommend them.

Christopher Kinzer did an EXCELLENT job thinning and trimming 4 maple trees in our backyard and repaired/capped an underground sprinkler that was badly strangled by surface tree roots. It was a very complex job that Christopher K. did with expertise and care. Epic Lawn were very responsive to our urgent need and gave us priority in scheduling. It was high quality work and they said they would stand behind it if there were any problems. The cost to do the work was fair and we will definitely use this company for any future yard work needs. Epic came out for irrigation startup, my system is 20 years old more issues than normal. The tech (Alex?) was super friendly and helped me diagnose some shorted wiring between two zones in my controller wiring, Im sure it set him behind the rest of the day but appreciate that he took the time to diagnose my weird problem!

Michael is very knowledgeable and understanding of our needs for our shrub beds.

I have had my sprinkler system for close to 20 years and I have done my own sprinkler head replacement as needed. Noting some no so pretty brown spots in my yard this year and, as I use Epic for my lawn service, I called to have Epic give my sprinkler system a good go over. Alex was on time and got to work right away, he spent two hours working on adjusting the sprinkler heads, weeding one out of the garden (Ooops), and identifying that two of the solenoids were needing replacement. I authorized the replacement of all four. I am very grateful for the hard work Alex put in today and am hoping for another 20 years of pretty much perfect system. Alex did replace 1 sprinkler head and I authorized the Lifetime Guarantee Epic Sprinkler. I havent received the formal invoice yet, but the Irrigation Call Sheet reflects right around $350.00 with tax. Money well spent considering it would have taken me an entire weekend and more than 1 trip to the Hardware Box Store. Thank you Alex & Epic! Michael & Isaac completed the the first quarter lawn fertilization on 4/27/2023. They are respectful, quick, and provide great post instructions for watering and ensuring the pets are kept safe. Again, Maria was wonderful to work with ensuring that the appt. time/day worked best for my schedule. Thank you very much! I appreciate the great job that Epic Lawn Care & Pest Control did with de-thatching my yard today (4/6/2023). Beginning with the office scheduler, Maria, who was very communicative and responsive. She even included detailing a contingency date for the service in the event of rain. Brayden and Jesus arrived within the slotted time frame as presented by Maria, introduced themselves, and got straight to work with the de-thatching and cleanup. Brayden and Jesus made quick work of the job and even left the patio cleaner than when they arrived. Alex was super friendly and quick! I saw he was blowing out my neighbors sprinklers and walked over to ask him for a price he had the office call me within minutes then he headed right to my house squeezed me into his schedule for the day!

I am not an irrigation expert, so I previously spent a large sum of money to have all my sprinkler valves, boxes, lines and heads replaced when I moved into our home, paying for them to add 2 additional irrigation spickets at the valve boxes- the technicians made repeat trips to the store, each time returning with incorrect parts. The techs finished the job and installed two, 3-foot tall PVC pipes with heavy metal 1/4 turn valves for the high pressure irrigation lines - both unsecured to something solid. The heads and PVC later broke on several occasions, each time requiring me to pay for them to return to repair. Now, Ive just capped them both off and they are unusable - a total waste of money. Another irrigation professional came by to tell me they should have never used heavy metal connections and spickets connected to tall PVC, then PVC under the ground connected to plastic which could break and cause a massive flood issue. I spent a fortune and cannot use what they installed. For a while I used them to come each year to check my sprinklers, but they got too expensive. Each year, Ive called to get a quote on them for sprinkler blowouts and each year their prices go up and up and up from $52.46 in 2020 to a quote in October 2023 $79.95+tax for 6 zones. Absolutely crazy prices for 15 minutes of work. All the sprinkler blow out guys I see driving around charge between $45-55 dollars for up to 6 zones. Unfortunately, I feel the overall lack of quality of their work and their extremely high prices make me not want to return as a loyal customer.

Epic has been taking care of our needs for year. Chris Tucker came out for winterization this year, and he s been great to work with. I looked out of the window, and even our dogs liked him, as I saw him playing with them. They come highly recommended for their value, service, professionalism, and customer service.

I took advantage of a fall clean up special where you could get 25% off a 3-hour clean up and trim. I thought no way they get it all done in 3 hours. Brayden and Angel not only got everything done I wanted to, they had time leftover to get into more detail clean up in several areas above and beyond what I had gone over with them. Couple of really hard working young men who did an absolute awesome job. Exceeded expectations!

EPIC fail. Turned off our sprinklers, never explained anything when a blow out was scheduled which they pushed us back, and charged too much. Now we have to find the shut off because they never told us or showed us anything, not very professional. When I called they said they would charge to come out to show me. Bs

Today Luis & Andres did our spring yard clean up and trimming. They did an excellent job. Of particular note is the care they took with the trimming of the box hedge and elderberry.

We have had a great experience working with Epic! From the first phone call to the services provided and follow-ups, the staff is professional and helpful. Mike was very nice, answered all our questions and truly cares about the work he s doing, which is appreciated.

Our homeowners association used Epic for snow removal/anti-ice control. Their billing and record keeping are woefully inadequate. They were unable to verify the work that was done. They claimed that monthly invoices were e-mailed monthly, none were received. They have no backup plan that provides mailed invoices. The contract procedures are unprofessional and do not encourage good customer service. Their lack of understanding and responsiveness have resulted in a non-renewal of their contract.

Chris came by for a service call when I was away (planned). He performed the needed service. When I returned, I was curious to know the cause of the damage, so I phoned the office. Chris called me a short time later, and answered all of my questions. Then he mentioned that he had noticed a small leak that he wanted to come by and fix. He came by that evening, fixed the leak, and we chatted a bit more about my system. I mentioned a concern about a drip at the master filter, so Chris quickly swapped out a new O-ring, which fixed the problem. He was wonderfully helpful, very nice, and made me comfortable asking questions. Thanks so much Chris. Ill be in touch for future services. Have a good day.

Call and schedule. Guy doesnt come. Call back and am instructed that their estimates of time people will be there is 2 days vs between the hours of like noon and 4 like youd get with other companies. So guy finally comes, needs a part and therefore cannot fix the issue. No big. Office is supposed to call and schedule- they dont. I call back and they say they are putting me in the route the next day. 2 days pass and Im sitting right inside the door all day as to not miss them- no show. I call back the third day and am told they came by or called and someone told them the husband was doing it. They dont even have our number on the account at this point when we have only used one number to call its a totally different number. Lady says ok shell see and let me know. Couple hours later a guy just shows up at the door- no information on what he needed to do etc or parts needed anj This was the worst experience I have had with a company. Please get it together.

Had sprinklers blown out today. Chris K, was awesome. He took the time to explaining the sprinkler system to us as we have recently moved into our home with no information given by the previous owner. Three weeks prior, we had another company come out to blow out the system, but they were not able to find the connection point. Chris figured out our unique set up and was able to complete the blow out. Thank you Chris for going above and beyond!! 10/26/21-Had Chris K blow out the sprinklers again.AWESOME JOB!!!

They do a sufficient job with blowing out sprinkler lines, but just to do my two sprinkler lines it costs $70. It is easy to find services that do the same quality of work for less than half that price. Also, if you do it too late in the year, theyll do an emergency one for $80. A total rip off.

He was able to spot known issues before we were able to point them out for him, so we had no doubt at all when he spotted things we werent aware of. He was knowledgeable and friendly. I had bad experiences with two Previous landscaping contractors. Epic lawn care, completely turned my yard back to the yard I loved, they went over the yard ,weeded, Poisoned, took care of bugs, groundhogs and snakes,wasps and all services that Previous landscapers said that they would do !! Do yourself a favor and avoid the scammers, these people are professionals...

Sure are tough to get ahold of, specially after you prepaid. No return from your emails, or calls.

Their technician, Chris Kinzer was both knowledgeable and professional with his work. He found a few extra issues with my sprinkler system, but he did not hard sale me on what would have been an expensive fix. He stated all the options and then let me tell him what I wanted done. I truly appreciated that business ethic. I would suggest Epic Lawn Care and Pest Control to all.

We were being overrun by spiders (biblical proportions) Michael Connell came out from Epic and did a superb job at killing them and went above and beyond to take care of the problem even killing some wasp nests along the way. We have used epic about four times. Last time they were here we had quoted two hours of work, like we always have done with them. So the price should have been the same, or close. They withdrew triple the amount. Almost $350 dollars. When we called to see have them explain the office lady stated that all she could say was prices went up. Instead of looking into and giving us a more detailed answer. They charged us almost three hundred more dollars. Do not recommend this lawn business. They over charge and then can t explain why they charged what they charge.

These people are huge scammers. They charged us 3 times the estimate for the work they did. Chris is either terrible at estimating or just trying to trick his customers. Miguel, the worker said he spent multiple days and many hours just to replace about 2 feet of plastic pipes with metal ones. He also had to make 3 trips to the store because he didn t get the correct parts. I recommend choosing a more competent and trustworthy company.

Epic changed all of my sprinkler solenoid valves and then the system did not work at all this spring. I called on Thursday evening telling them my yard is getting brown. No call Friday. Called and left two more messages Monday. No call from them. I went out and fixed it myself after work. Loose ground wire for the main going back to the control panel. Use anyone else.

I called to have them come out to start up the sprinklers for spring. They asked me on the phone if I wanted to pre-pay. (I think I got a small discount if I pre-payed) I will NEVER pre-pay again! They couldn t finish the start up as the system needed a new valve. He said he would be back next week to finish as he didn t have time. I was completely fine with him returning to finish the job. I called a few days later and left a message but never got a returned call. I called again and they said the scheduler was out and would call me back the next day but never received a response. I called a few more times and always got the answering machine. I finally got a gentleman on Thursday and he said he was just getting ready to call me. I expressed my frustration and he said they would be out the next morning. My husband waited all day and they never showed!! Do yourself a favor and save yourself a ton of frustration and don t use epic lawn care services. I will be calling my bank to dispute the charges that I prepaid 3 weeks ago! Wish I could give 0 stars instead of 1 star.

I hired Epic to fertilize my lawn but they went above and beyond! Mike C. left a detailed note explaining what the next steps for me to take were after getting a fert done on my lawn. Its been a couple of weeks and my lawn looks great.! He also blew off my back porch, side concrete slab, and front porch. I will definitely be using Epic again! Thanks Mike!

This is our third season with Epic Lawn Care. This year, possibly due to the heavy snowfall, we had some issues with our lawn. We were fortunate enough to have Micheal C as our primary technician. He is extremely conscientious, knowledgable and hard working. He has gone out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. When asked, he was able to explain the materials he was using and why. (As a science guy at Hanford that is important to me.) If I owned this company, I would clone him!

Roman is very helpful and knowledgeable. He does a great job on my lawn!

Further update: I have received my bill. The total disclosed via phone was actually less than they are trying to bill me now for. I stead of leaving things in a positive light they have also chosen to threaten me with legal action. My crime? I just received the bill and they are already putting a lien on my home. Interesting since I have not even been given a chance to pay the bill. Avoid this company at all cost. I may have to consider legal action since they have provided no opportunity to pay the bill before placing a lien. Update : I have reached out to the owner of Epic looking to get some sort of reasonable closure for their shoddy work. What I got instead was more excuses than a teenager. He was incredibly unprofessional, refused to take responsibility for his employees. This company should be avoided at all costs. They overcharge you, waste time and cant complete the job. When I mentioned a competitor was fixing the issues the owner immediately started trashing the competition. Professionalism and etiquette are two things this company is severely lacking. If you value your time and money, hire a different company. It has been five days of having my lawn torn up and promises that things would be fixed. This has not occured. Each time they come out, they fix one thing and leave another. Their technician disappears without a word and then shuts their phone off and will no communicate. AVOID AT ALL COST.

Michael Connell came and applied pesticide to our yard with amazing results. We immediately saw bugs dying and running away then dying. It was a very thorough, and friendly professional perfomance from mike. We will be continuing service because of him for the next year, maybe 2 or 3 years. Hired them to fix our irrigation service that broke just before we left for a 2 week vacation. They fixed it, but left the service OFF so we came back to a dead lawn anyway.

The company s lack of integrity led to a Bad experience. Highly recommend another company. In August of 2018, we signed a contract that stated 1 full years worth of services. Halfway through that year Epic Lawn disregarded the contract we signed and entered us into a new contract without our permission or signature. We had no idea that the original contract was over and that we were entered into a different 6 month contract. We were then threatened by Epic Lawn to have our bill sent over to a collection agency for a bill/contract we had no idea about. When I called the company to discuss, the representative apologized and agreed that they made a mistake but the manager did not want to discuss the issue. I asked the manager to call me back 7 times in 4 weeks and received no contact what so ever. This is the first negative review I have ever posted. Find another company.

I had Michael Connell come to spray around my home in Benton City and he did a fantastic job he is a very honest and great at what he does. When he came I wasn t home but I called him to talk about what areas to spray around my home and he hit all the areas now it s been 3 days since the spraying and I ve seen all kinds of different bugs and spiders that are dead so no more spider webs which I am super glad, now I can t wait for my next visit to spray inside to get the bugs that had made it inside before the spraying so if you guys need someone reliable and honest gives these guys a call they are excellent

I had Christmas lights installed and the techs (Mike C and Robert C) did an excellent job. I decided I wanted the wreath in a different location and they came out and moved it without any complaints or any extra charges.

Robert and Mike were professional and did the work very quickly. I didnt have to worry about my husband being up on a ladder. My house looks very nice and we are both very pleased. Trash Tri-Cities should be be this companys name!! They put up hundreds of sprinkler blowout signs everywhere in the Tri-Cities. I contacted them around Thanksgiving, they said that they were still getting calls, contacted them before Xmas they said that they were getting signs removed that week. Well 1/7/20 and sprinkler blowout signs are still out there, do not use this company if you like your community!!

Hiring EPIC Lawn Care was the worst decision we have ever made as homeowners. We hired them to install a french drain, level and hydroseed our backyard and design and install a sunken firepit. We spent almost 4 months dealing with EPIC and begging them to come and complete the work that they were hired to do. I was forced to call the owner almost every week to convince them to come and work on my lawn project. Im pretty sure if I was not persistent that the job would have taken 6+ months to complete when we were originally told it would only take 4 weeks. During the process, they drove heavy equipment over my neighbors lawn even after being asked repeatedly to not do so by myself and the neighbor. His lawn was left in a muddy mess where grass used to be growing. The end result of our lawn is nothing close to what EPIC promised. The yard is not level and in many places ended up worse than what we started with. The firepit design that was presented to us with the contract in no way resembles what we were left with in the end. It is very obvious that EPIC lacks the experience required to build the design we chose. I just wish they would have told us up front that it was too difficult for them. Save yourself the headaches! Call someone else!

He knows his lawns!

This is our third season with Epic, and the residential service just keeps getting better. We receive 24 hours notice of any work to be done, even weekly mowing. The work is professional, thorough, and clean. Our techs, Robert & Felipe make a point of checking in when we are there to make sure we are satisfied with the work or to find out if we have any concerns. Definitely would recommend this service.

I would NOT recommend Epic to anyone! We used them for pest control services and have since hired Pointe instead. They are unresponsive, it is clear they dont have good communication between the field techs and the office. They would not return my calls or call to schedule a follow up when they told me they would. They misbilled me multiple times. The tech didnt show up for my scheduled appointment and they made no effort to contact me to tell me they couldnt make it. Terrible customer service.

Worst decision ever. They are aware they are bad enough that they disabled reviews on their Facebook account. I really wish I read their reviews here and yelp before hiring them. Communication was terrible. We were told we were on the calendar for this week for about a month. The work was not professional. They broke several things and only replaced a few. They broke my valve cover and didnt replace it for 3 months which is now filled with dirt because of it. They skipped an entire area of sod that was in the quote because they said there were too many rocks. I explained that is exactly the reason we hired a company to do it. Took another month to get them to fix it. They charged me for fixing irrigation when they broke more than they fixed. A certain employee treated me like garbage when they came back to fix things. He brought out an employee and asked me which one of us wasnt telling the truth. When I brought up the issues they basically said they didnt care and theyll just put a lien on my home. There is no pride in their work and customer service is a foreign concept to them.

Felipe and Roberto are the best Crew. They are very professional and do great work. We have been with Epic for 3yrs. and they are the reason we continue our contract with them.

So today 10/19/2018 we had Rick come out here for a sprinkler blowout. It was our first time as we r first time homeowners. Right off the bat. Rick was very friendly and super nice. He got the blowout done quickly! He is definitely a excellent irrigation service tech and we will most definitely be using him for the future!!

Very rude horrible customer service. I was charged an additional month after I was told I wouldnt be. The owner then went out of his way to call me names and tell me it takes 2 yrs for my overseed to actually grow. Ive never heard of it taking 2 years for grass seed to grow but ok. They would say they came out when in fact I know they had not because I had been home all day and never was anyone in my backyard. When you call with questions no one ever has an answer. I asked them several times to call before coming out. They called ahead of time 2x in the 11months of service. I have seen no change in my yard at all. Its not greener, thicker, less weeds nothing. I wasnt expecting it to make the cover of a lawn magazine but I was hoping to see a difference after paying this company over 500$ for services. They have the worst communication and customer service ever. Youre better off using another company. Plz check yelp reviews as well. The owner is a money hungry lying arrogant jerk. If a business has to steal money from customers and lie about it being apart of a so called contract should show you what type of business hes running. Im just going to count my loss because people like him wont make it far in life. His business must not be doing as good as he states since multiple people have complained about the extra billing as well. They also were not refunded. Whatever you do dont give them your debit card information just do cash that way you can control what they take from you. Thats my advise wish I would have done the same.

EPIC has been wonderful. They helped us with everything, and never surprised us with fees or anything like that. They even offered to help me setup my sprinkler system when I was worried I would over- or under-water the new grass. I would definitely recommend them for any landscaping or maintenance you need!

Very disappointed in the service provided. Hired Epic for lawn services to maintain the lawn including services for fertilization, irrigation and overall lawn care while being out of town for eighteen months. The package was over $140.00 per month. However, upon return, there were several bad spots in the front and side lawn of the home. After notifying management they blamed the degradation on Bermuda grass and took no responsibility for the issue. After further discussions they also took no responsibility for things being missed such as irrigation coverage. If choosing Epic I would be very cautious and be sure have in writing everything that you expect because they will not take responsibility for issues.

They dont seem to have time for me. Not feeling the customer love!

Do not use! We paid over $800 in monthly service fees and in that time they only came out one time for service. On two different occasions, after inquiring when they were going to come out, they gave us a date saying they would be there. They did not show up either time. Fed up, we canceled. After canceling, they showed up and let my dog out of the yard. We immediately called them and the girl who answered the phone stated I see you already canceled, I dont know why someone came out today. We confirmed we wanted to cancel for a second time and the next month they charged our credit card again. The owner said he would issue a full refund, lied about it being processed when it hadnt been, and then proceeded to finally only give us a partial refund only after we showed up in person to the office. Had they given us the full refund as promised, I would have considered the issue resolved and not have left bad reviews.

They did an AMAZING job on my backyard landscape project. So much knowledge to help me correct a few mistakes I had when installing my irrigation system.

Ive been a pest control customer of EPICs for 2 years. They do a great job. Jason and his team are courteous and professional. Ive asked about specific problems with a bush and tree in my yard and both times, they were able to recommend treatment and fix the problem. And, on an occasion that they sprayed and we still saw some wasps, they came back and resprayed to get rid of them at no charge. I love their annual plan that keeps me bug-free year round. I highly recommend EPIC for Pest Control!

Last Wednesday, REYNALDO and NICK spent 2 hours on fall pruning and removing several dead bushes. They were awesome, listening to my requests and completing all tasks. Both were very polite and cared that I was happy with the results. I have been a customer of Epic Lawn Care for 3 years. I always purchase the full lawn service that includes weekly mowing, lawn fertilization, pest control (JASON), spring pruning and cleanup, fall pruning and cleanup, and winter cleanup. Fertilization and pest control are always on schedule. Weekly mowing is performed to my standards. I did experience 3 or 4 changes in the mowing crew this year. However, IGNACIO is the constant that keeps the mowing crews working smoothly. Everyone I have interacted with at Epic has been very professional, pleasant, and caring. If something is not right, they fix it.

I have used Epic for a couple of years. Last year they blew out my sprinklers. Yes... there was a little boo boo. I wasnt there and they missed a station and it froze over winter. As per their guarantee, when I found it, they came out, fixed it all, and made it better than before and all for free within their guarantee. It is my opinion that you can trust Epic. The station they missed was obscure. Anyone could have missed it. Not everyone would have made it right again. Epic has integrity. Also, I just got off the phone with them. Brie was delightful. I have never met her, but she was professional, nice, pleasant, and just downright delightful. If nothing else, try them out just to get the chance to speak with Brie.

Over the past couple months I have been trying to get rid of ants from my house on my own. I finally gave up and called Epic Pest Control. They fit me in quickly and came yesterday. For the first time in months I dont have a single ant in my house. Their team also explained to me that I have odorous house ants and that by treating them on my own I actually made them worse and showed me where they were nesting. Now I know what to do to prevent them in the future. Thank you so much! Looking forward to a year free from pests as an Epic Member!

Poor customer service. I was sent a notification that my yard was treated. Called two days later to verify they did the work and was told yes. Then stated that I was home all day and did not see anyone come to do the work. They then stated oh yeah they now see that the work was not done. Hmm. I called to cancel service askills my yard looks way worse than last year and I was told I needed to speak to the rep who would contact me. Three weeks later and nothing. I called again and was told the same thing. Time for the Better Business Bureau to be involved. Sorry, but I definitely dont recommend them.

Called two times to get a quote for lawn mowing, was told each time that I would receive a call. A week later I called again and got the same answer. Told them to please cancel the request. Basically a waste of time calling this company.

Extremely expensive. I had to rush out of town and thus didnt have time to shop around; ended up paying $190 for them to come out and change a sprinkler head, and replace some PVC attached to the pump that had flexed out and burst. Talked to another company after I got the invoice from Epic and they quoted me about $60 cheaper. My fault for not taking the time I should have to shop around for the best price.

I have used EPIC Lawncare for the last 2 years and have been very impressed with the quality of work they perform, and their professionalism. The price you pay is well worth the service they deliver. I would have no problem recommending EPIC Lawncare to anyone with lawncare or landscaping needs.
