Wait, sorry... thought I found a gem...until i cancelled, read below for UPDATE FORMER REVIEW: I am having a wonderful experience with this company. The receptionist definitely made me feel like.my concerns with my dreaded HOA are validated and was very professional and kind. UPDATE When i tried to cancel my service I was double charged without service and when i called to complain, was not given a refund and no empathy?? Be careful when u try to cancel,.. I moved to a new home and they knocked on my door to solicit MORE business and I reminded them of their business antics

Certainly not the best exchange in commerce ive ever experienced, consistent and constant sales calls with deceptive sales practices suggesting free things that are later billed, argumentative sales calls, pushy rude, the guy they sent out to spray my lawn was weird a little scary I wasnt sure if anyone is home in there, they will ring the doorbell every time they come no matter what you ask them not to do, my lawn was green prior to signing up as a maintenance of what I had already done, the lawn is dead now after a year of weed man, its just mud, the weird guy would just wander around the backyard looking into the house not spraying anything, there are better companies for this service id suggest heading that way.

They improved my yard to near perfection. Great service! Very responsive to my concerns. Update: Moved to a new neighborhood and kept Weed Man, but they started applying unauthorized treatments $750 worth in the first 3 months of 2022. Customer service outsourced to India and no resolution. Its a shame they got greedy. I would have stayed with them for the foreseeable future. So keep a close eye on your billing. 1 star.

This company has so many bad reviews, I should ve realized what type of company they are. Weedman cut my internet cable while I was working from home and refused to take responsibility. All I asked is to not be charged for the particular service and they denied me. They rather lose a customer than take responsibility. Terrible customer service.

They are good at getting rid of weeds, but if you want a truly green yard you need to do your own work. Fertilizers generally need to be applied at higher concentrations than almost all lawn services provide to be effective. Lush, deep green lawns require water, food, proper mowing, and some effort on the part of the homeowner. If you like your home to stand out, do your own work. If you want to look like all the rest, hire someone. Taking a soil sample to your local extension office can tell you exactly what you need and how much of it to do it right.

I have to say my grass has never looked so good. Working with Markiss has made my experience even better & I highly recommend them.

Probably the worst customer service I have received from any company. A team came out to treat my lawn after I hadn t renewed for the year and charged me - including a late fee. I tried getting in touch with customer service about this multiple times over the phone, over email and text and they still have not resolved the issue. Stay away

Ill just say they killed my weeds last year, thats the only positive. Besides that, I signed up for a seasonal promo and wasnt explicitly told the price of the service when it suddenly continued the next season. They also harass you every few weeks for lime control, and insects destroying your lawn. Theyll send you pictures of the insects from OTHER peoples lawns. They spend roughly 5 minutes at the property, theyve applied the wrong treatment 2-3 times. I never met or spoke with an employee in person. They didnt treat my backyard like they were supposed to and they still sent me overdue balances when I tried to fight them on it. Avoid this overpriced, sales-driven place.

Weed Man did not make any significant changes to my lawn over the course of 5 months. They also hide behind sketchy business practices, attempting to pass as a subscription based service that never mentions this nor has a contract. They made it difficult to cancel services and overall were incredibly rude. I, nor anyone I know, will make the mistake of using this pathetic excuse of a lawn service company again.

Ive just started using Weedmn because I saw the beautiful yards in my neighborhood all had Weed man signs. So far I am seeing a big difference with the weeds in my yard. Also, I feel like the representative that calls me is knowledgeable and is not pitching me a sale but educating me about proper and healthy lawn care. So far, I am happy with their service.

Save your money and do it yourself. My lawn looked significantly worse after they attempted to treat. Part of this had to do with them not really treating it. They would come (I assume thinking I wasnt home) treat one section of the yard and then leave. I left a previous negative review after cancelling the services, they came to my home and promised they had replaced the shoddy workers and now had a team that was great. This was unfortunately not the case. They will constantly try to upsell you on additional services and then if you decide to cancel, will call you at least once a week begging for service back. Its been over a year and they are STILL CALLING. I wish Id never contacted this company. Should they return to my home again, Ill most certainly be adding to this review.

I recently signed up with Weed Man for residential lawn weed control. Their first service was over 5 weeks ago. The results of the first application of pre-emergent/post-emergent and spot treatments had no effect and the lawn actually had significant increase in weed growth following the application. A reapplication was requested and scheduled. However, the technicians did not show up and the reapplication was automatically rescheduled the following day with no explanation. I called in and spoke to what sounded like an offshore call center which could provide no explanation why they hadn t showed up, but stated they would investigate and get back to me. They rescheduled the reapplication once again for the following day . And once again the same cycle started of no one showing up and then an automated message it was scheduled for the next day. This happened for three more good, clear weather days with no calls, no explanation, and more importantly no service. I called in and received a call back from again what sounded like someone in an offshore call center and was told the same story that they were scheduled to come the following day yeah, just like the previous six times! I have canceled the service and selected a different vendor. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because at least I did receive a call back same day each time.

I have been using weed man since spring 2023. Exceptionally happy with the communication through text and email. I am always aware they re coming. Not all yards will look as green as mine. They do there part and I have to do may part which is cut my yard consistent basis. I do every 2 days which gives me a fitness workout. Back yard less visibly I cut 2 times a week. Cutting your yard regularly allows feeding and nutrition to less grass length and thickens the lawn. (Critters don t favor a well maintained yard) I water every few days mornings and only the front yard which is most visibly. Have your blades sharpen every 1-2 years. My back yard has a few spots mainly from my dog. Remover trees block sun and challenge gras to grow. I don t air-rate nor use mosquito control. I feel if I can eliminate junk and water and trim my bushes I have less mosquitoes. Luckily works for me. Patience folks and it going to take some work on your part. Once you get there it s easy maintain.

I have left multiple messages over the course of the last month and no one will call me back so I canceled my service via text and email and I got a return email. It said we re sorry to see you go . This is a poorly run business. They don t want to talk to anyone and they want everything to be fully automated via text or email with no human interaction.

**Update**8/22/23 After canceling my service, I received a call from a manager and a regional manager. Had I received this call last week when I originally called, I would have stayed and allowed them to make it right. But that just showed me that they are more concerned with their revenue and not their customers, at least not this customer. Hopefully, they will clean house and get rid of the technicians who are providing false claims about conducting service . **Update** 8/21/23 Another service was supposedly completed. The grass was wet, my son left 30 minutes prior to receiving the email that service was completed, and he walked through the grass, his footprints were still there. However, there was no proof that they had provided service. No footprints, no wheelbarrow prints, no sign, no motion on either of my cameras. Which goes off constantly when my lawn is being mowed..I called to speak with a manager after explaining why, I was told I will hear back from a manager in 24-48 hours, it has its been 8 days and no one has called me back. So, I called back yesterday, I was told Ill hear back from a manager in 24 hours . She read me the notes the manager put on my account, indicating they do not have evidence that the technician provided service at my home , so they scheduled another appointment. At this point, its time to cancel the service. I cant justify paying for service Im not receiving. I have given them the benefit of the doubt, and they havent even had the common courtesy to call me back to discuss the matter. Even the technician that came out after I told them not to said service was not being completed on the full lawn due to weeds he observed in the back. ************************************* I am very disappointed with the service received this far into the process. After reading the reviews, I was excited to start service with them. Ive been utilizing their service for weed control for about a year and have yet to see any results. They left a sign in my yard confirming that the service was conducted the other day. Oddly enough, none of my cameras picked up any movement on the front or side of my house. Its time to make some changes, as Ive never been a person who likes to waste money, and right now, thats what I have been doing this past year.

They treated my lawn for 4 years. Each year my weeds got worse. I noticed all the homes in my neighborhood with Weed Man signs in the yard had far more weeds than those who did not. So I switched and it got better. My biggest complaint is the spam calls. They would not leave me alone. They called and emailed constantly trying to upgrade the service and after I switched it was constant calls to reschedule service. Even after I moved. I made it plain I was done with them but they kept calling. Not until I insisted (more than once) they remove me from their call list did the calls stop.

Ive really enjoyed Weed Man as our weed care provider for our lawn over the last few years! The reps are always helpful anytime I have questions, and recently, Jared Eveler in customer service really helped me out to get a cost-effective solution for our lawn. Thank you, Jared! I paid for a year advance weed/fertilization service and they were consistent. They will even come out for additional treatments per request at no charge. I had a newly built home with brand new grass and it took a few months but eventually the grass was beautiful, full and weed free. Just make sure you cancel in time if you sign up in advance because they will continue to treat your lawn after the year if you don t.

Great job reseeding my fescue backyard in 2020. It came up beautifully. Used them again in 2021, but this time, nothing but weeds. Have tried repeatedly to get them to remediate. They promised to come back out, but so far, nothing. They dont respond when I call. My Bermuda lawn on the front and sides that they supposedly treat have their share of weeds. I dont know that they actually do anything more than show up and put a sign in our yard. As others have said, they appear more into up-selling additional services than providing a lush weed-free lawn.

My first year was spent calling and calling on my persistent weeds. I knew it would take time but became very frustrated with the work i had to do as the customer to get my weeds under control. They listened to my concerns, never pressured me and courted me back for a second year. My yard looks better and better each month so far!

They have been the best lawn service I have ever used. Even got rid of my mole issues. Always do what they say and the lawn reacts just the way that they say it will to their services. The office staff has absolutely outstanding customer service. They are always ready and willing to answer all my questions and concerns. Great communication! Always inform me of the date they are coming. With this information, I m able to ensure the animals are in the house so that the entire yard can be treated. With other lawn services it was hit or miss if the entire yard would be treated. Seems to be the same technician every treatment and they are very familiar with yard. Great service!

Have used the service for 5 years now. They do a great job with my lawn and worked with me regarding payment when I laid off work. Everyone has been friendly and knowledgeable. Many of my neighbors are now happy Weed Man clients.

I paid for a year of service in advance. Three months of treatments later I still have a yard full of weeds! I have had to contact the company several times asking for retreatments, which have done nothing to get rid of all the weeds. I cant even tell they have done anything after they come back to retreat the yard. Its a joke seeing their sign planted in my yard in the middle of crabgrass!!

These guys do a very good job. They will try to upsell you incessantly for extra treatments. Some makes sense, some don t. I switched away from another company who didn t upsell but also poorly maintained my yard. I ve been happy with Weed Man for several years now.

They reschedule over & over stating that they cannot come due to weather conditions. I have only had 1 service & the weeds were worse than before. I have requested to cancel the service immediately.

They delivered what was promised. Through cameras You can check the guy who did the whole yard (not like other company before). Others company were not spray 10% of the yard!!! being dishonest.

Communication is great and the price is reasonable. Overall they do a decent job but always are trying to upsell additional services. My biggest complaint is they have not been able to get rid of the nutsedge in my yard. It has been over a year and whatever they are using to kill it isnt working. I have brought this to their attention multiple times but they havent come up with a viable solution. I may have to switch to the company my neighbors use because they dont seem to have the same problem.

Be careful who you trust. Weed Man promised positive results on our yard or we would receive money back. 6 months later our yard looks worse and the Manager Ryan, who was extremely rude, said no one would have promised you grass because of the run off from other yards . We had grass before we signed up with Weed Man and paid hundreds of dollars. Now we have no grass and they are refusing to refund what they promised. They also buy positive customer reviews. When you sign up they ask you to leave reviews with Facebook, Yelp and Google and they take off $10 from what you pay them. Should have known, buying positive reviews is never good.

These guys have done an amazing job with the weeds in my lawn. They even did an aeration on the lawn at a great price.

Ive been on the basic weed/fertilizing program for one year and my yard has transformed from 50% dirt and weeds to 100% grass. Im super satisfied with the service from Weed Man!!!

I used Weedman services before and had the best lawn in my neighborhood. Let go of the services and was left with a weed infestation. I have only been back with them for a few months and now can see grass again. They are always courteous, professional and helpful.

My yard was was a hot mess wish various weeds growing mostly crab grass. A friend recommended the weedman so I decided to try. For the last few months I have noticed huge improvements to my yard plus no more crab grass or those huge mushrooms.

I have had 3 treatments from this company. The second treatment the technician showed up, saw that my dog was outside and said he only treated the front lawn - mind you my husband was in the back yard and could have notified him to put the dog up, but he didn t. I called the company to complain and they came back and retreated my yard with my husband walking the yard with the technician who said they can t treat all the weeds and it wouldn t solve our issues. The third treatment was yesterday. I received a text saying they would be by the house that day and to please have animals inside. The technician showed up, put a sign in the yard saying it was treated, looked in our back yard and returned to his truck. He did not ring the doorbell (we were both home) to let us know he was there. My daughter was leaving for work and needed him to move his truck. He then got in his truck and left. He never came back nor did he even treat our front yard. We have a ring doorbell and watched the footage of everything. I called the company and they said they had no way of getting in touch with him to have him return. At this point, I am frustrated and cancel my contract. The customer service rep said the accounting department would contact me. Within the hour, I receive an email telling me what treatment I received today depending on what type of grass I had- a form letter guessing my lawn type. This morning I received a call from Matt. I explained what has happened now with the last two treatments. He apologized and said he will be contacting the branch manager and said my refund would be processed soon. Update: it has been since Aug 3 and I have yet to receive my refund. They claim they sent it to the card on file- which I previously explained that card was inactive due to the issuer selling to another bank. As of Nov 10, they said they were mailing me a check for the refund. It is now Nov 29, and still no check!

Literally was the ONLY house on the block with weeds. Couldn t figure it out, wasn t for me to figure out. Simply put, They are friendly and I no longer have weeds.

Weedman has been very helpful with all our lawn care needs. They explain every procedure and take time to answer questions. The staff is very courteous. They always call before coming out so you know ahead of time what will be done. If you do not want service then they are very willing to work out a better time for you.

The young person arrived with no advanced notice, However, I knew they were coming to lime the yard. I happen to see him doing his job so i knew he performed the service. Once again, thanks for the great work. I wish I would have gotten the young mans name as this review would have been more personal.

Weed man got my lawn where it needed to be took the weeds out my lawn and they haven t returned

I swear, I am going to have to file a harassment claim to get this company to leave me alone! I made the mistake of signing up for services two years ago. Although I wasnt happy after the first year, I did not realize I signed an auto-renewing contact, and thus was stuck paying for a second year of service at double the price of the first year. This would be no problem if not for the fact that they have killed most of the grass in my front yard. I have HUGE bare spots that are pure dirt where grass once grew. After voicing my concerns over and over, they only offered free reapplications which did nothing to help the issue. On more than one occasion, I caught them marking my yard as complete and processing payment, even though no one ever showed up to actually do the service, which was proven by our camera system. After FINALLY cancelling, I have been relentlessly harassed about why I cancelled, and about re-signing for service. I have asked multiple times to be removed from their call lists, to no avail. This month, months after cancelling, their employees are taking photos of my house and lawn in an attempt to try and get me to sign up again. Just this week, after telling them to STAY AWAY, I was called repeatedly and offered their pest control service. I cannot say enough, stay away from this company. Do not make the mistake of giving them your contact information, or you will be called until you change your phone number.

Julian did a fantastic job on the first treatment. He took the time to discuss a plan to improve my lawn (I ve had an ongoing weed issue and dead patches while using a competitor) and help ensure my lawn looks amazing. Looking forward to seeing the improvements this spring/summer.

This company is a complete fraud. It has now been 3 months my yard is full of weeds. I own two houses next door to each other and I signed and paid for a 1 year contract on both homes. Yesterday they came to my houses to spray. I was home. I watched two guys one smoking a cigarette pull up, get out of vehicle place a sign in my yard and literally get back in the vehicle and drove off. They never even spayed. I keep getting calls and emails from them advising I have a bug in my yard and want me to pay an additional $84 per yard for that. Well funny how I already have a company full time that spays for bugs, mosquitos etc. They have confirmed I do NOT have what they are trying to upset me. I will see this company in court.

I dont write reviews very often, so when i do its for great service or really bad service. Weed-man falls into the really really bad service area. I started service with Weed-man in early 2020 to help with weeds in my yard. They seemed to know what they were doing and would help get rid or the weeds. From day 1 they tried to up-sale me on everything under the sun (bugs, aeration...). I really wanted my yard to look great so i foolishly went with them and add service after service to a total of 756.00 for the year. By the end of the year my yard looked pretty much the same as it did before Weed-man but i was out 756.00. My plan this year was to give them 1 more shot and just get weed service. Spring service killed maybe 40% of my weeds as they popped up. I asked for a re-treatment and after another service it didnt change at all. Weeds kept coming and i called to ask for service to help and was told weeds are bad in the spring and theyd be out when they can. Fast forward 2 months and the weeds were out of control. I called again and asked to cancel service but was told they cant cancel from that department and another department needs to do it but they cannot transfer me and the group will call me to confirm that i want to cancel my service (really?). Never got a call and they next day a service truck was outside my house to spray for weeds and charge me the summer weed feed (guess you have to try to cancel to get someone out). BTW not 1 weed died from the service they charged me for. I am still trying to cancel service for weed control, not change my name or move to another country but freaking weed control. Do not use Weedman, trust me.

Their customer service is quite lacking. During the sales process they were very prompt on responses, but ever since I said I was ready to agree to the services Ive had to continually reach out to them to get any response. Never had an experience where I had to reach back out to a sales person to pay them. Once they did get the service plan in place, when they came to service my yard they only did the back yard, which is much smaller and hardly has any grass. They have been out 3 times and only did the back yard. The only time they serviced the front yard is when I was able to run outside and tell them to do the front first. Since their customer service lacks follow up responses they havent gotten back to me about my lack of payment due to lack of service. Im willing to pay it once I get the service completed. Earlier this year I agreed to a aeration service this spring (their words) but after asking multiple times they never came. Again, leaving money on the table. Yard does look good from the one treatment that it has received though. Would love to see what it would look like if they serviced it like they are supposed to.

DONT USE THIS COMPANY. MAKE A BIG MISTAKE OF OUR HOME ADDRESS. I CALLED THEM THREE TIMES TO CORRECT OUR ADDRESS BUT STILL GOT THE WRONG ADDRESS. CUSTOMER AGENTS ARE SO RUDE AND DIDNT PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT. AT THE BEGINNING OF THIS YEAR, WE EVEN RECOMMENDED OUR FATHER IN LAW SIGNED UP WITH THEM FOR THE WHOLE YEAR. IF THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DIDNT KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH YOUR CUSTOMER, PLEASE TRAIN THEM BETTER. PLEASE TRAIN YOUR EMPLOYEE BETTER IF YOU WANT MORE CUSTOMERS. THEY ARE RUINING YOUR BUSINESS!!!!

Awful and waste of time with these coompany There is a lot of miscommunication between departments as well with the customer. Ive spent a lot of time on the phone talking with 3 different persons on the phone, trying to cancel services and no body can do the right thing. Now they want me to pay for something I didnt request. Dont choose this company. You will regret it.

My MAIN complaint and gripe with Weedman is there lack of communication and transparency. I m a returning customer as I had there service in the past and discontinued it for the exact same reason! It s very FRUSTRATING to pay for a service (IN FULL) and have no idea if OR when that service has been provided. Thus far, they have claimed to have treated my lawn on two different occasions, however I don t see any results (weeds everywhere) nor was there any physical evidence (a placer, a door hanger or email/call) to indicate that anyone was ever at my home??!! How FRUSTRATING is that as I would like PROOF that services were rendered! The ONLY redeeming quality about this company is the fantastic customer service rep by the name of Shay Berry as she is a total ASSET to Weedman. I have been fortunate enough to get Shay the last few times I CALLED TO COMPLAIN and she was very professional, knowledgeable and empathetic to my situation. She managed to talk me out of CANCELING my account once again. However, I m at the brink of no return as all I m asking for is consistency and transparency when it comes to the upkeep of my lawn. I believe that s the LEAST Weedman can do for a customer who has once again given them an opportunity to redeem themselves!

I ve used several other service providers in the past for weed control in my lawn and never had a good experience and thought it s just the way my lawn is. But after I gave weed man a chance, just in the first year they took care of the weeds. They came out as many times as I needed to retreat my lawn and I ve never seen my lawn with so few weeds during the summer. They are professional, quick to respond (even have a texting line to text messages and get service!) and give great feedback. With weed man, they re the man!

Horrible customer service. I paid for 6 treatments, after 2 treatments they never came back. Ive been trying to get a refund on services not received for over a month and I still have not been refunded. All I got out of those 2 treatments were emails requesting for me to pay for other services. Extremely frustrating. Dont use them.

I was having issues with weeds in my yard so I decided to give Weed Man a try. I went with their basic package because they said it would take care of my needs. For the next several months I received calls, texts, and emails trying to up sell me more services from them. I decided to cancel my service October 29th 2021. The person I spoke to was extremely rude. I told them to cancel my service. They assured me I would receive an email showing cancellation. November 19th 2021 I still have not received an email from them. I called Weed Man to follow up on my cancellation. The person I spoke to has no record that my account was ever cancelled. The person I spoke to originally just ignored my request. I do not recommend this business. Extremely unprofessional.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Had a service performed that I DID NOT authorize and then was charged. When I disputed the charge I ended in collections. Instead of fighting the charge I paid it by check, never deposited. Paid it again, never deposited. Finally paid through the collection agency and low and behold my check was cashed RIGHT afterwards. SHADY AS HELL! Sent an email explaining issue only to get THE RUDEST response! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY!!!! They could care less about you, your lawn or good customer service!
