POOR service! Huge Rip off! They continued to cut my grass knowing I had issues with my lawn. They have no care in the world about your lawn. Beware!

Update: Still loving their service. Very responsive and communicative when their schedule changes. One neighbor has started using their services and the other tells me all the time about how he appreciates how good my lawn looks. Original Review: Signed up to take care of my lawn while I waited to get my mower fixed but the convenience was too hard to get rid of. They do my yard in 10 minutes when it takes me an hour by myself. Highly recommend.

Great, reliable service. The team stays in communication with me regarding recommendations for lawn care. As someone who enjoys the sight of a beautiful lawn, I would recommend First Cut Lawn to take care of all your outdoor needs.

My lawn had a lot of crab grass at the beginning of 2022. So it was discouraging to think I could get a nice lawn. The initial consult was easy and did not seem to be an issue for them. I have to admit my lawn has been way better and looking forward to 2023. Also very responsive with any email I send asking questions.

First cut generally notifies when they ll be out a week ahead of time, and are always responsive when they have to reschedule such as during the ice storm in early February. This has also happened when it has rained and the weed treatments would not be as effective. I m glad they take treatment seriously and are willing to adjust my yard s schedule to ensure I have the most reliable application possible.

They do a great job of maintaining my lawn. It s convenient because I don t know anything about lawn care and they will send me reminders about services they offer. Thanks!

We ve had a great experience overall with first cut. They ve been an affordable option, and come out to treat the yard when they say they will. The weeds have been under control. We ve kept up with the weed/fertilization treatments. We did have them mow for us quite a few times, but they only would mow if we let them do it every week. We found our grass did not need it more than one time every 2-3 weeks. Maybe it was partly due to what a dry summer we had last year! I would definitely recommend this company for weed treatments!

We ve used independent mowers for a few years and always ran into issues with timing, availability and quality. First Cut solved all of these issues and was the same price range as the independents we were using. Very glad to have made the change.

All my questions were answered before I started using the service. The work they did to my yard meet my expectations and the price was awsome! Even with the chicken wire I have around my fence line to keep my dogs from digging out, the mowing team did a great job getting the grass as low as they safely can go. I have stones and bricks at other areas of my yard and when the team left, they put them back so my dogs couldnt escape. Highly recommend.

I ve been using First Cut for over 2 years now. I love that they are more than just a mowing service. I get my weeds treated for all seasons and mosquito treatment to keep my backyard pleasant during pool season.

Our lawns have been pest/bug free since weve moved in. One of the best things First Cut has going for them is their communication. They let you know, at every turn, about delays or problems . . . whatever. And, they make things right if theres a glitch for some reason. I find them professional, with decent value for the buck$.

Very happy with the weed control, and looking to have them do some mulch / flower bed work soon. Also use their mowing services... not always consistent but usually they do pretty good.

I ve been using First Cut for about a year now and they have been consistent with communicating when they will apply the weed control but when it comes to cancellation or rescheduling lawn maintenance they don t communicate well. I have been waiting for a cut for three weeks now and I have yet to hear from anyone. Other than that they have been a good service for me and I will continue to use them for lawn care.

I hired First Cut as we are a busy family and it takes a task off our agenda. They are prompt and communicate any issues or delays. We havent had any service issues over the last year. We had an incident where we let out dogs out not realizing they had our gate open and the crew was super helpful in bringing them back home which I really appreciated. Since we are hands off I would like an option to do biweekly mows but with how smooth things are going and the autopay service I havent even looked anywhere else.

We wanted some weed control and fertilizing services for our lawn since it was a newer lawn at a new built home. The builder and the contractors should have laid down more soil in some spots. So First Cut was able to put us on the micronutrient plan and the weed control plan. So far, I see very little to no weeds. And toward the end of last season our lawn looked healthier and greener. Our neighbors liked what they saw and also hired First Cut to do weed control. The value is good. The service is good. They work with you to get what you need.

Very inconsiderate for the neighbors of their customers. They have no problem running mowers edges and blowers at 7:15 in the morning. I do not recommend. Your neighbors will suffer!

When I moved here two years ago I thought with some products from Home Depot and little weed pulling that I could make my lawn look like those of my neighbors who used First Cut. I was terribly mistaken. I couldnt beat them so I joined them and never looked back. My yard looks great with First Cut weed control and fertilizing.

They were in and out and hardly knew they here. Could have done better job on the the under brush and over growth but it was extremely cold and may have just been to cold. We are new to this service and are still working out the services and expectations.

My yard looks a million times better since going with First Cut. They also did my front yard mulch service and bush trimmings. They routinely come out and keep things looking amazing. I also had a tree removed that was dead before moving into the house. Quick service and very reasonably priced for this tree removal seevice. Ill have more projects later to do and First Cut will be getting a call.

Weve used First Cut for over a year now for Fertilizer(Nitrogen), Micro Nutrients, and Post Emergent Herbicide on the lawn and recommend them strongly. Weeds and crabgrass are gone! This follows having used a different nationally advertised company for a couple of years with slim results and huge disappointment. First Cut does the work when scheduled or notifies you they need to change it. The technician is super friendly and completes the applications very professionally. Youll like the results if you use them!

Business decided to change my service from a biweekly service to a weekly service without my permission. When I called the office to explain that the service had not been performed, but I still got charged, they basically called me a liar. When I asked for my money to be refunded, they elected to cancel my service. Apparently the process to refund my money was an arduous task, and they said I should have my refund by sometime next week. Such a shame to turn away a loyal customer of 3 years because of what..your own error? This was not the first time I had gotten charged for a service that was not performed. Beware of extra charges that may be coming out of your account, especially if you are set up for automatic withdrawals.

All in all they have been solid. I like the weed control part of the service. It really helps. They have good communication when it comes to rain delays and so forth. They equipment looks really professional. Things to note. They dont offer bi-weekly service, so if you are someone who just wants the yard cut and doesnt waste the water to keep it growing, the summer months the mowing is not exactly super productive. You can only receive 2 skips per year. So if youre not into high water bills, you will find yourself sort of locked in to every week mowing. The price is a bit high given these restrictions.

Customer service is wonderful and I will have their first service in a week. If their service is as good as the lady for their customer service this will be great.

They left my gate open several times, letting my dogs out. We even purchased a lock that would need to be placed on the gate to remind them, and it was still left open and unlocked. They wouldnt notify us when they arrived so we could bring our dogs in (we have a dog door), and even left on a couple of occasions without mowing the lawn because they thought the dogs were out. All it would have taken is a knock on the door to let us know they arrived to solve this issue, but they refused. They were also supposed to do garden bed maintenance, but skipped the back yard one month causing it to look like a jungle. Then we had to pay for a considerable amount more work the next month in order to get it looking good again. They are very poor communicators and dont work well if you have pets that go outside.

Unprofessional. Left our back yard gate open twice so our dogs got out. Thankfully the dogs were not injured. They also forgot to lock our back gate three times. They called to ask us to bring our dogs inside when they had already been inside for at least ten minutes and then said they would no longer cut our grass because they said our senior dog tried to bite them. We are confused on how thats possible when the dog was inside. Weve had many other issues with the company as well. I do not recommend First Cut Lawn Services to anyone with pets. Edit: They say our dogs tried to attack them, but when they got out of our yard because of the lawn companies negligence the kind people who found them said they are the sweetest dogs. I honestly think the employees were either in the wrong yard or they dont like pitbull mutts and assume that my dog would attack them just because shes part pitbull. Both dogs are over the age of 10 so they honestly cant do much, but Im sure if they saw a stranger in the yard they would bark which is why you should let people know you are coming into their yard. Please have a talk with your employees about honestly and common courtesy.

I found first cut through yard signs in our neighborhood. When I bought my house my yard was taken over by weeds and the backyard was unusable for my kids. First cut took over the treatment of my lawn and I was weed free in about a month. Two years later, my yard is still mostly weed free and one of the greenest on my block. First cut jas also helped me with other lawn issues, tree trimming and given me free insect treatment this spring. Great company and no hassle to sell their other services, they will do a great job on whatever service you need.

We used First Cut to do a lot of trimming and flower bed clean out. They also mulched our flower beds. Trimming the huge Mexican Fan in our back yard was not an easy task, but they did an excellent job. They are very thorough and always clean up the yard and haul everything off. I would highly recommend them.

First Cut hasn t missed an appointment since we ve had them take over our lawn maintenance. With weather delays they contact us advise the next day they ll be out. I m super satisfied with their responsiveness. I will say some crews do a better job than others but overall they have a great team. Price wise they are about 50% higher than other local companies I ve got quotes from so I ve deducted one star for value but not for the quality of their work. If you want your yard consistently groomed and on time, these are the guys to call!

First Cut does a great job! I hired them to mow and get my weeds under control. After a few weeks of fertilization and maintenance my lawn looks fantastic!

Absolutely satisfied with the service and the price. Would be five stars, but sometimes the technicians aren t especially careful about the sprinkler heads in the yard - no serious damage but they aren t as careful as I would like. Then again, I could also do it myself if I wanted it perfect every time. All told, I would certainly recommend First Cut to anyone who wanted a quality service for a fair price. LOVE the no contract and the choice of weekly or twice a month service with option to change anytime!

If there are any changes to your mowing schedule they contact you. We have dogs and they always make sure that our gate is secured when leaving our back yard.

I hired First Cut for mowing and fertilization and weed control. I was able to find a cheaper option for mowing and flowerbeds, but continue to use their service for fertilizer and weed control. I was impressed with business practice and mowing job, was very disappointed in what they did in the flower beds for the price we paid. Ultimately, great company with good communication, would have continued to use if it was more affordable.

First cut lawns help to promote the growth of my lawn and cut down on the weeds that had going on. They did great work.

Just moved into our home and First Cut was available immediately to get us into their rotation. They also came out and cleaned up our flowerbeds. We plan to use them for our ongoing maintenance and projects in the future.
