This company charged my card for multiple mowing services, however never showed up to mow. It was on a vacant property so I didn t notice until I got a call from the city. Don t use this company and stick with a local and reputable service provider

Set appointment. No call no show. Left messages on app.....no response. when I finally talked to someone personally he was no help and put me on hold and never came back.

I hired them through Thumbtack and when they finally arrived they gave my an adjusted quote of $300 plus dollars.

I ve been waiting for about two weeks now for lawn care. Poor communication, even when I called looking for a resolution there was a long wait time. In addition, I had to place my card on file without a specialist even visiting my property. Waste of time and resources.

Can count on quick and neat service

I would encourage you not to use this business. They charge nearly $50 to mow your lawn and you have to commit to a minimum of three mows. Additionally, when you go to cancel services it s nearly impossible and you have people texting you about service you already cancelled. Stay away from this business. I normally don t leave reviews but this company should be reviewed due to their poor customer experience.

Lawn starter treats their professionals poorly. They take 20% from each service provided, sometimes more. Their accounts are deactivated for contacting customers directly for providing services directly. I m my case, no notifications were sent. Wife just found out she is pregnant and 10,000 s of dollar are gone this summer. Thanks for the gift lawn starter.

I have used this service for over a year and I am very pleased. I live in an apartment so I only use the lawn mowing but they are always prompt and they cut during cutting season and then let me know when cutting season is over and then they start me up again. I really appreciate their professionalism. Thanks!

I generally dont write reviews except to voice my displeasure about the service that I have received, but I am rewriting this review because I was contacted by a representative from the company apologizing about my recent interaction with t e crew members who serviced my yard. So, Im pleased with them for reaching out to me, which is why Im editing my initial review for this one. Hopefully, if I decide to continue with their services, I would like to see some of the changes I discussed with their representative.

Bait and switch scheme. Promising or promoting a bargain and substituting for inferior service. Signed up for a membership, Bush trimming, yard cleanup, weekly mows, and the service was bare minimum. Our lawn was mowed , but our same day scheduled yardwork and leaf removal was not done. The person who mowed, mowed over all the sticks and didnt even blow the clippings off the hard surfaces as promoted. It just looks messy now. I am canceling everything and calling tomorrow. This happened last year and I decided to try again.. lesson learned.

Lawnstarter did an amazing job on my lawn. I setup the appointment online, they sent the confirmation, came out and took care of everything. Never had to talk to the mower and they were quick. I will keep using them as long as I am in their area.

Very unprofessional personnel. They either didnt cut my yard or it was half done. My grass was 6 inches long because of waiting on a crew to cut my lawn!!! My neighbor ended up finishing the yard for them.I gave them a great review before finding out. Im very disappointed with LawnStarter.The first cut was great.

So I had scheduled a lawn mowing for monday the 26th but elected to cancel all my services Sunday the 25th. Someone still came out Tuesday the 27th after I had already mowed my yard. They charged me anyway, and now I m being charged for a Long Grass Fee even though I had canceled ALL my services, and already mowed??? I can t even get anyone to respond to me or call me back so I can dispute this. I even have proof of paying someone else to come and mow my yard before anyone from Lawn Starter showed. EDIT: The most redeeming part of this whole experience was talking to Megan, who resolved the issue and was the ONLY person who actively reached out to me. Give her a raise. Super sweet and very thoughtful

I arrived home from the hospital only to discover I couldn t get up the stairs to my home. My sister couldn t lift me. The man came to spray the yard for weeds, he helped me get up those steps. Without him I would have been stranded outside. What a wonderful guy. Thank the lord he showed up at that time. His name was Kevin.

I am actually in an apartment with a large lawn. I have had LawnStarter Lawn Service for the past few years. The thing I love about them is that they come when they say and I do not have to keep track of anything. They stop when growing season is over and start up when needed. I am happy every time. They even make sure my gate is correct so my dog cant get out. This is from Shirley Oyer. I cant say enough good things about them.

This is an absolute scam. They never show up and just nonstop cancel and have a hidden 3 cut policy to charge you for services where they never show up. DO NOT USE. IT IS A SCAM.

BUYER BEWARE. This Company is located in Austin Texas. They are not a local company. Their policy is for per week mowing and if you choose bi weekly the price goes up $3. And monthly goes up $10 plus a safety and convenience fee of $2.99 per mow. This is an Asian, non-local, scamming Company. Please dont do it.

I had canceled my service and they cut my lawn 2 time after and would not refund. This is not a lawn care company it is a scam that uses real lawn care companies to do the actual work. My lawn was cut way to short leaving it looking brown and burn up. I never leave bad reviews but felt this very necessary

We love our lawn care professional, Andrew. He s given us 3 years of great service. He communicates when there are weather delays and always makes sure my gates are closed when he s completed his work so that my dogs don t get loose.

Terrible. Used them twice and the second lawn service worse than the first. They blew clippings onto my porch and in beds, didnt blow decks off, ran over decorations, left half the backyard not mowed, then left the gate open for my dogs to get out when they left.

They re the best. Nice work. Nice price.

I did sign up for lawn service. I didnt know I would be the one mowing my own yard. I signed up for service cause we find ourselves in a busier lifestyle. I couldnt tell you what job they did other then they never show up. They just push you out weeks sightings of rain. Well in the days you have canceled, the day before the day of an the after havent rained. But at reading reviews I think I dodged a bullet on this one.

Will was great to work with. He would usually come to the door after each mowing to make sure it looked great. We recommend him and his team

I have used LawnStarter for three years now and they have recently changed hands. I think this new company has done wonders for LawnStarter. Truly. I was VERY displeased with my lawn guys before (not the service itself) and I have now been given the most wonderful professional service I ve ever had. I covet my new lawn guy!!!! He s fantastic!! In new hands LawnStarter is a blessing for those of us who hate mowing but love a beautiful yard.

Customer service and the automated website with notifications was great! Bo was on time, very courteous, and does an awesome job - like you would do yourself, but better and faster! Definite recommend.

I can t speak for the others on here, but the person they ve had taking care of my mothers property in Leavenworth has been wonderful! Jarrett has been kind, patient and I appreciate his work!

They impressed me with the first mow. James cleaned off my back patio too! I know they mention cleaning off hard surfaces of grass clippings, but there were a tremendous amount of leftover wet leaves on my patio as well. All clean! Thank you so much! I m already looking around the yard to see what else they can improve! You guys ROCK!!

I had a good experience with this company the first year, but the current and previous mowing seasons have been terrible. Parts of my yard are left untouched, the grass is barely cut any shorter, service is oftentimes marked as incomplete up to a day before they get here, and there is usually a day or two delay. I honestly believe that is so it is taller the next time they show up so they can charge me a long grass fee which apparently results in your being charged an additional 100% the original mowing fee. One time they just skipped a service and then showed up for the next service and charged me a long grass fee. When I asked for a refund on the service they missed, they wouldnt because I waited too long and then they only refunded me half the long grass fee. Im switching to a new service today.

I live in the boonies and its tough to get skilled helpers out here. When I had some medical problems, I needed help with my yard and I needed for it to be reliable. Scott with Lawnstarters is all of that and more. He does a great job, is always pleasant, answers my questions knowledgeably, and is honest and reliable. I highly recommend Scott and Lawnstarters!

I like that they let us know when they were coming and they came and did a great job!

I tried to use them for lawn care. They sent a message that they would be here Saturday-Monday. Monday came and they said their truck broke down so they would come on Thursday. Then Wednesday I get a message that they are on their way. Nobody ever showed and stopped responding. I was told that they would come on Thursday when I called the company for the 4th time that week to see if anyone was ever going to do the job. They just kept saying yes you are scheduled for today. Nobody showed up or contacted me. So I canceled and never ended up using them. Now my grass is long and in worse condition because they kept putting me off. I would not use this company ever. I would have given 0 stars if I could.

The Lawn Staryer company is diligent in ensuring lawn service needs are met.

Borderline scam of a service. Constantly cancels service, then charges extra due to their cancelation. Caused property damage and couldnt care less. Quality of service was not good with entire sections of the yard missed along with small slivers. Stay away. And note they have a minimal number of mows you have to deal with multiple bad mows before you get rid of them.

Yeah dont use Lawnstarter... I got frustrated waiting for Lawnstarter to come... SO I emded up mowed my front yard... i can literally mow my entire lawn in about 20 minutes.... now they want $96. Long grass fee I have video of the lawn mower and my lawn? REALLY? No! You just stamped that on the invoice! I was expecting like $15! (for just my backyard, its tiny) but $96? No! Thats like 5 lawn mowings! Late to show up, overcharging, horrible customer service, (I waited and waited ), and the overcharging... and just a horrible, horrible experience. Do not use them...! I will come mow your lawn for free!.... not $96 for a small backyard mow.

We tried to use Lawn Starter for our lawn mowing and it was a nightmare! A crew did not show up on any of our first 4 appointments over the course of a week. We called after almost each time and the customer service individual said crews that do this get dropped by them, they promised a credit on our account and said someone would be out in the next couple days, yet no one ever showed, called to offer a reason why, or to reschedule. We had to contact them each time. Rinse and repeat that ordeal 3 more times. On the third time we contacted them they said the mower had a personal issue that came up and would be out the next day. Shocker, no one ever showed. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever used, lacking any sort of communication with their clients and seemingly incapable of getting crews to a job site. I would STRONGLY recommend not using this company, save yourself the time and headache and choose someone else.

Great job and easy to use service

Babe this company relies on a computer that takes money from the providers pocket because they give the computer total control is bad enough that nobody from this company ever comes out and speaks with the homeowner but it leaves it to the provider and gives us restrictions on what we can and cant do and then you get a job halfway done and its just cuz your paperwork aint turned in by an hour after sunset the computer takes the job away from you and you lose out on what the work youve done all in all theres many customers out there that has tried the service that is very dissatisfied thats providers are constantly getting an earful from homeowners about the way this company is ran I used to buy is this being a primary source of income but I cant do that now since theyve done this automated thing because I never know if Im getting paid or not for the work I do their whole system has a bunch of bugs in it that need to be worked out if this company is going to succeed

We didn t even use the service and they are charging our card weekly. When I called to have them remove the charges, they stated there was no charge on their side. This is a scam. Do not give your card over the phone.

I was a provider with this company for the past 3 years up until today. Without warning and without notice all of my customers were pulled off of my account. I was told after I had to call them that I was being audited and I gave a customer a price for a service separate from what they were receiving through lawn starter and because of that they canceled my entire account. Ive been with them for 3 years with a 5.0 rating from customers. This is how they treat their providers and sadly how they treat their customers. Sadly this is not the first unprofessional circumstance with them that I have had. In January they took ownership of another company called lawn love and did not tell anybody. Trying to provide service for customers and not even realizing they were performing under two names instead of combining them into one, it made for a very unprofessional experience for both providers and customers. They are very poor at communication and as you can see here, they will get rid of their best providers in the area over something that is none of their business but they will keep providers that do a horrible job and never show up. They always show a couple of days before their scheduled, which I appreciate tremendously. Their exceptionally fast and detailed in their work. They have went above and beyond with their service. I havent had an opportunity to tell them personally how much I appreciate their hard work because this is litterally how fast they are. In and out like lightning.

For weeks, no one has shown up or been responsive via the app. AND I ve been charged twice! I was even charged after I canceled my service.

I used them last year and they were fine. I moved, so I cancelled the service. For some reason, today, they sent a crew to the house that I dont live at anymore to do a service. Im being charged $50 for a service I didnt schedule, didnt approve, and dont even need because I dont live in that house anymore. Ive now been on hold for 30 minutes trying to figure out why this was scheduled without my authorization. Unless you know youre going to use them forever, dont bother. They make it very difficult to know if your service is ACTUALLY canceled, and theyre impossible to get in contact with.

Horrible! Multiple no shows. Yard cleanup was not done well at all unless you just want a few of your weeds in your landscaping whacked off by a weed eater. Shrubs were trimmed at various sizes. Do not use!!

Fast and efficient

This company is very easy to sign up for new service, but has absolutely no customer service when there are problems. Long wait times on the phone, employees who cannot help and only want to transfer to another line, refusal to escalate the call to a manager are only a few of the customer service problems. That might be acceptable if the lawn mowing service was good, but it is very poor quality also.

Gave me a quote and then a week later charged another $19.95 above quote with no communication. Poor quality mow and did not edge and missed several places. If you cannot do quality work and stand by your quote get out of the business!

The first year we had them they did a good job this year its been scheldule issues then the quality of work has dramatically gone down. In my yard they have missed spots repeatedly and ate up portions of my yard with the weed eater and didnt weed eat half of my yard. I am very disappointed in this company. As of today i have cancelled our service and i will not recommended this to any neighbors or family members.

No one showed up to complete my service for the very first time. Im shocked. They are really good at delivering good service but Im not sure what happened with this scheduled mow when the payment was clearly taken out of my account a couple of days ago. I have let them know about this, I truly hope they fix this and it never happens again.

Feel compelled to add to the multitude of recent 1 star ratings. I have used this service without many issues for a couple of years. This year as of June 3, they have managed to mow my lawn three times despite being scheduled. The rest of the time I have had to borrow a mower. The three times they did mow was not done well nor did they provide edging as part of the services they were supposed to provide. The last straw came when I called yesterday and had the customer service rep verify that my lawn would be mowed as scheduled only for it to once again not to be mowed. No communication that it wasnt happening. I called back again today only to find out after requesting the customer service rep to call and verify they would mow that the subcontractor was not planning on mowing. Please note that this is a middle-man company that subcontracts out lawncare. They do not actually provide any commitment that your lawn will be mowed. I originally selected them as it seemed like the most convenient online/app service. I do not know how they stay in business. I 100% do not recommend anyone use this company.

Easy to use app. My grass gets cut

They were great all the way around. They were here on time, did a beautiful job on the lawn, cleaned up the clippings and were gone in no time, plus they are great guys. Ive never had a lawn look quite so good and not cost a lot. I wouldnt have anyone else take care of my lawn if I can help it.

Always on time. The only time the weather didn t permit completing the job, they came out on Sunday to finish. They kept me informed.

Sam at LawnStarter cancelled & rescheduled 4 times in 11 days just on mowing the lawn, failed to weed-eat and then left trimmings all over the sidewalk and my car for me to clean off. They never provided the quote for edging that I requested, then dunned me on Saturday at 10AM and again on Sunday at 10AM for payment on the basic lawn mowing they finally got done that Friday. Unreliable at best, desperate at worst. I cancelled the subscription and uninstalled the app.

My wife scheduled this company to trim the bushes of our property while we out of town. The person they sent to provide the service called my wife and indicated they weren t going to do the service for the quoted amount but would do it for twice the price if we sent them the money directly. Not having the time to deal with this at the moment, my wife sent the money and we were stiffed and received no service whatsoever. When we disputed, Lawn Starter indicated this same employee had done the same thing the day before to another person and, after almost 3 weeks, we have been told we will not be receiving any assistance from the company regarding their employee. This company allows their employees to commit and I recommend steering clear from their shady, unethical business practices.

Crew never shows up consistently, messages at 11PM telling you why they didnt show that day and then promises to come the next day...then never shows. I would even message to confirm they were coming, they would say they were, then still never show up. Do not use this company - they over promise and under deliver. I tried for 2 months to use them and never got consistent service.

Dont use this service unless you expect the bare minimum mowing job with no edging and/or for them to not show up and mark you complete every week, charge you, have no way to refund. They dont even show up to the rescheduled mowing, and support only gives you a 50% credit or reschedules it later in the week (at which they dont show up for).

Very good service, service providers & excellent communications. Before and after brief messages on each scheduled day of yard work planned. Your input, your suggestions or appreciation and even need to change schedule, in case, all via digital communications through the online portal or via iOS/android app on your phone. The select crew is very polite, experienced and dependable. Since, business takes care of screening, safety, security and insurance; we have peace of mind. The support crew is very prompt and responsive. I had some challenges right about the time of long weekend and support crew took care of it which was commendable. I would suggest you to certainly give a try, you will love it. There is are no commitments to continue except when you jump start, initially you have to go through minimum 3 cuts. But in those you get some discounts/promos too.

I resorted to using this app since my previous lawn care provider was too busy to keep my yard cut as scheduled. Also another app did not service my area. I am pleased with LawnStarter and the services they offer at the click of a button. No more emails back and forth to get my lawn serviced. I wish I had found this app much sooner than later.

They show up, mow the lawn, takes 10 minutes, then 3 days later they hit you with extra fees. They dont call, knock, or email- they pretty much penalize you for not scheduling weekly services by double charging under long grass fee. I pay a neighborhood kid every other week so my grass isnt long. I scheduled 3 (the minimum) services- cost me almost $200 at the end of it. They dont care about customer relationships, they just want the most they can get from you in a summer.

Will give you a quote and if your grass grows at all, they will charge you extra, even though it takes them 10 minutes to mow and sometimes they do not mow the entire yard. Yard is supposed to be mowed every Friday but that changed, on them. Now coming out several days later to get a length Extra charge I m sure. One season and we are out of this company.

Requested service and was told they would come out 7 days ago. They didnt show up for the first service window and assigned a second crew which also didnt show up in their service window. Every time I called they assured me they would be there on the next day. They never even responded and let me know they were not going to make it. Called at least 5 times...

Doesn t stick to service schedule. Reschedules and does not show up. We are using him through Lawn Starter. It s been a poor experience.

Never again! My yard looks horrible. I took pictures of it and sent them feedback. The guy that cut the yard sent me a text message through the app being very unprofessional and asked me why I didn t say anything about how it was cut before he left. Nope I should not have to tell you to edge up the yard after cutting it! Trust the folks that gave them a bad rating. They should screen these contracted companies before using them to cut peoples yards. I was so angry when he texted me being rude!

Lawn Starter is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. They said they performed 10 services on my Mothers lawn over 6 weeks. No service was ever performed. She was charged every time. She communicated through email and I have made several phone calls. Just spent 40 minutes on the phone with customer service and they told me it was too late to dispute the service and get a refund. She assumed that since she communicated that the service was not performed she would not be charged. They have taken $290 and done no work. Service providers are supposed to take pictures before and after as evidence that they service was performed. They have no pictures on file but insist that the service was done. Apparently once they take your money pictures are not required but recommended. When I tried to cancel they said if I did that, my dispute would not be resolved. If I could give this company a negative star I would.

I got my lawn mowed one time where the mower cut the power cable to the ac unit and said nothing. Then I couldn t get anyone to come back to mow it for month. They kept assuring me I would get a new provider who would be here the following day and they always had some excuse as to why they couldn t show up. DO NOT USE LAWNSTARTER IT IS A SCAM!!

I hired this company mainly to mow the side yard as I cant walk the steep hill due to a botched heel surgery. They no longer mow the side yard but keep mowing the back which I dont need. Theyve charged me for 3 mows where they never showed up (I think theyre doing a neighbors yard...?) Joey worked with me on correcting the miscommunications and refunded the payments for the services I didnt receive. I appreciate his efforts to ensure customer satisfaction, thanks for making it right Joey!

Lawn starter is the third party the people that work for lawn starters are excellent its the people that is the third party that needs improvement

I used LawnStarter all year long and then had the same crew do leaf cleanup for my backyard. I was charged twice for leaf cleanup and contacted my crew about it. They said they had nothing to do with billing and to contact lawn starter customer service. I contacted them once via their app and got no response in 4 weeks. I contacted them again a week ago and still havent heard from them. Out $100 for nothing. Will cancel this service. What a scam.

To date Kevin has done a wonderful job with my yard. I started using LawnStarter when the young man that cut my yards lawn mower broke. Since I am allergic to fresh cut grass I cant cut it myself and did not have my own mower for him to use. This is the 2nd time Kevin has cut my grass and I will keep using them. Thanks for the great job.

The lawn care crew is amazing. Rating 1 star because the company bullied us into doing our 3rd cut during this pandemic. We changed our service to front yard only and selected to have our service skipped for that week, and yet they still did the back and charged us $40 that we didnt have. Their non essential service will do what ot wants even when you set it up how you want. Thank you for taking food literally out of my familys mouth.

For some people this would be a good option. Easy way to find and manage lawn care. But if you are someone like me and have a nice lawn and care about quality, I would recommend going another route to find a lawn care provider. I may be a unique situation, but I found the service providers (multiple different ones) to be less than satisfactory and damaged my lawn and giving little attention to instructions. Multiple times they didn t mow one section that is clearly part of our yard. In my property preferences, I state that I would like the grass to be mowed on a high setting so that my yard stays long. It was mowed very low a couple times. Also, there were significant divots left from careless turning with zero-turn mowers. Again, I think this is a great model for people who just want the grass to be cut and don t need much care given. I canceled my account today and hope to find another lawn provider that gives higher quality service. Hopefully better luck to everyone else! I don t like leaving negative reviews and it wasn t all bad, but I know I like doing research and hopefully my reviews will help the next person who is looking to find quality lawn care options. LawnStarter as a company was very responsive and tried to make it right, but I didn t want to have to constantly contact them when I had problems.

I m not even convinced real people work here. I scheduled my first mow online. I needed to move my appointment up, but I couldn t do that online. I called and was on hold forever, decided to have them call ME back. They never called. I called them again and they never picked up. I called as a new customer and got ahold of a person right away. Of course she couldn t help me, despite being VERY nice, and put me on hold to talk to someone else since I was an existing customer. Finally someone called me back. They were very polite again and rescheduled my mow right away. Monday evening, I get a text that my mower will be here soon at 8pm. At 10pm, I text the crew to say it s getting late. They text back hours later that they d be there Tuesday. Tuesday I have a new crew. At 10am I ask for ETA, new crew says 10-noon. No one ever came. I called a different company, All Seasons Lawn & Landscaping, yesterday. They texted me a few hours after I left a voicemail, set up for a mow today, and the guys are here weedwacking right now. Very polite. LawnStarter seems to have decent customer service, but I m pretty sure I just got fooled by a bunch of robots that are good at convincing me someone will be there without anyone ever showing up.

I am extremely pleased with LawnStarter Lawn Care Service. So easy to manage online: scheduled mowings, payments online, professional job, friendly people. Would highly recommend.

Hired this company to have someone mow my lawn three times while I was away. It wasnt mowed until the 3rd week a day before I came home.

I used this service so my mother in law wasnt mowing with a push mower in the heat. The company who accepted me was very kind and responsive. They did a great job on the lawn.

They messed up the mowing schedule so that they didnt mow for almost two weeks, then came back 3 days later to mow again.

Zachary from LawnStarter mowed my lawn & trimmed several of my trees yesterday for the first time. He followed my instructions for the trees & my concern for my very fragile fence & gates. I was impressed that he actually re-clipped the clips on my gates which I was very grateful for the safety of my dogs. I say actually because previous lawn services did not put my yard back the way they found it. Zachary was kind & courtesy which I appreciate!

First time starting with a lawn care service I must say... the way the cut the grass was bad. It was cut in 3 different directions, so the lines in the grass arent unison, and just looks bad. To add, no edging was done on the driveway, sidewalks, fence, or around the house. Complete waste of money. The app is cool though.

This is such a fantastic lawn service. Brandon always does a wonderful job and he always goes over and above. I highly recommend giving them a shot. Stress free and stellar service.

Im only giving one star because it wont let you give zero. I honestly dont know how they could be worse. They just plain forgot about me for the first mow until I called them back, and the second has been put off literally for two weeks with email after email with excuses from the provider about personal problems. Now Ill probably just have to do it myself as its getting high enough to where the city will probably complain. One email message in this saga actually informed me that they were backing out of an agreed-upon date because another will work better for us. Have these guys actually considered what might be good for the customer is to receive a service they have paid for on the date agreed upon? Short version: Customer service is terrible and youre lucky to get your yard mowed at all. Dont worry about the date you agree upon for a service because theyll just come by when they can. Maybe, someday.

I just moved from a new state into a house and needed lawn service. Kelly came from LawnStarter and has done an amazing job each time. Any time I ve had a question or concern, he has been there. He is also very responsive.

I cant stand mowing the yard. They get the job done well and at a decent value! Only a single minor issue through a whole season and now im trying to get a one time mow before the seasons out! Would recommend!

Owed me $95 from a leaf cleanup but doesnt seem to act like we dont invest and own that company more then their communist owner and higher ups

I used this service all last season with pleasure. The lawn wasn t mowed great, but it was so cheap and convenient. This season I still haven t had my lawn mowed (it s May 13th) because they kept changing my provider. Then, they finally told me that no providers were available in my area. Ridiculous! My grass is about two feet tall and now I have to pay way more for a tall grass fee due to no fault of my own. I probably contacted their support every two-three days after the first few cancellations. They always apologized and said they would work to fix the problem and it wouldn t happen again...just to happen again. Terrible!

Called on a weekend and got set up for a team to service my yard that Monday or Tuesday. Rained on Tuesday so the service was pushed back to Friday. Friday came around and then pushed back to the weekend. Spoke with the team that was suppose to be coming out and he personally assured me he would have my yard done this weekend. It s now Monday, a full week later, and still nothing. There has been no communication. When I call the company, instead of trying to fix my situation, they tell me how bad they feel for the teams being so busy. Poor customer service and communication. Zero stars.

I would honestly not like to give them any stars at all. Horrible Service. Choppy mow job and didnt do anything they said on their website or mobile app. Rescheduled me multiple times in a 3 week span, and then I had to request them to come back out to finish the job they didnt complete; they mowed half of my yard and then wanted to know how they did. You did horrible. Worst lawn service I have ever come across. Save your time and money and do not use this company. The only good part about this company is their friendly customer service staff. Not to mention they have refused multiple times to process my cancellation or remove my card/bank details until I let them come back out to do another horrendous job on my yard. What a waste of my time and money.

My crew from lawn starter has down a phenomenal job! Their communication is great on days when they aren t able to make it due to weather. Also, the app is really convenient and you re only committed to three services. After that you have to choose to continue rather than remembering to cancel. I would highly recommend LawnStarter!

I love this service! it is so easy and they do an outstanding job. I set up my schedule and I dont have to worry about my yard. I can get instant quotes on other services I need, like clean up leaves, bushes trimmed, etc. that they may reccommend. I was always having to call the guy to come and mow my yard and I felt like I was bugging him. This is an app and I dont have to be home. They give you several days to inspect to make sure you are happy, then they charge you. EASY PEASY!!!

I have been very pleased with the weekly mowing that LawnStarter has done at our house. The mowing has been consistent every week and the yard always looks great. I receive messages through the app if there is any change to our scheduled mow and Ryan has been very easy to work with. I highly recommend their service.

Very satisfied with the service provided. With all of the rain lately Donny stayed on top of mowing as close to the schedule as he possibly could.

They left so much of my yard un mowed. I get behind my shed because a little tree is growing back there and i need to chop it down but they left 3 foot from my house unmowed in my back yard. Also left 2 ft from some trees on my property unmowed. Not to mention the foot of property they wont mow on the side just because the assume it belongs to the neighbors next door even though its my property. Also what they did mow was choppy. Couldnt do a straight line if they tried.

DO NOT USE THESE SERVICES!!!! Stay far away from a guy named Kevin!! He was rude. Apparently my dog got out after he was 5 days late to mow my yard. I am paying for bi-weekly services.. Never showed up two weeks later. It was 2 weeks and 5 days later. Then my dog got out and rather than just calling me to see how/why my dog was out (My son was home with my nieces who never heard or saw anyone there to mow), he just didnt do it!! Here is one of his horrible response to my issues.. Again I am paying for bi-weekly services and they came back on day 19. Sending this info to my attorney! Still speechless!

They require 3 cuts a month so if you only need a one time cut dont enter your information in the form otherwise youll have every lawn service around you calling weeks afterwards. The agent that I spoke with was arrogant and needs to get a job handling poisonous snakes.

This is the WORST COMPANY EVER!!!!! They never showed up. There BIG ON EMAILS. Horrible on showing up. Monday turned into Tuesday. Tuesday turned into Wednesday. Wednesday turned into Thursday. Then went straight to Friday through Monday. Not one blade of grass cut. Absolutely the worst business I have ever seen. Pathetic. My son is a police officer. People rely on him. I guess sometimes we all think we can rely on them but in this case......... not happening. They sure took my money though. Since then, my acct has been been hacked. Hmmmmmmmmm????

She keeps you in the loop regarding the schedule, and always wants feedback to ensure your lawn is mowed to your satisfaction.

Very poor communication and organization. I would not use Thumbtack of LawnStarter. In my instance, I requested a quote on May 13th for a one-time mow on May 29th or 30th. Steve at LawnStarter confirmed a quote, then nothing else. After repeated texts with him, he indicated they would do the fist mow for $19 the next day (May 14th). I indicated I only wanted a one-time mow. After several unanswered texts, I called today to confirm appointment. The sales team had no record, customer service had no record, the sales team wanted to schedule again, but mentioned they require three separate mow dates. First impression was beyond poor...couldnt recommend to anyone.

The first time they mowed for us it was awesome. The next time they came to mow, it was a different person & they left the gate open to the backyard without notifying us. Our dog almost got out. I text them to tell them about our concern & within a week we got an email saying he could no longer service our lawn but they would find someone else. Less than 2 days after that we were told no one was available to mow in our area. We still paid for the full mow service last week. ( even with my complaint)Very disappointed in the service. Not reliable or trustworthy.

In the past I have had unbelievably bad luck with the lawn services I hired. That has all changed now, LawnStarter has made it super easy to have quality lawn care, the service I have had has been better than I expected. Finally, I have a super nice service provider, Jay, who knows what he is doing, and does it with a smile. LawnStarter is the best decision I have made when it comes to lawn care.

At first I was impressed. Even after my mow was rescheduled 3 tines in a row, I was still happy with them. Then the reschedules came again. Then it was cancelled after 2 reschedules because of a hill in the front yard. I dont own the property, but its been mowed many times before and Im sure Im not the only hill. So, I message them to ask if there is anybody who is able to mow it. Instead of any response or explanation, I get zero response .I opened my app to see my service was cancelled .Nothing there or scheduled anymore....I think just my credit card info was all that was left. Very unprofessional .Its like a slap in the face .

I recently began using LawnStarter Care Service as my previous lawn service person became ill. I have had them at my house on two separate occasions, and it has been really nice coming home to a nicely manicured lawn. Al notifies me when he will be coming and shows up as scheduled. Billing is easy and I dont have any more lawn worries.

I just used LawnStarter and the first mow went well - they didnt complete it in one day and had to reschedule finishing the job a couple of times, but they did great. The next mow was rescheduled a few times, then they did not show and my card was charged anyway. I was assigned 2 more crews, who rescheduled multiple times and didnt show up when they said they would. Customer service was no help at all. After 3 weeks of waiting I just cancelled and found someone else. Another review was similar to this experience - I wonder if they are using new crews who are horribly unreliable? Either way, I would avoid this company!

I have a 1/2 acre yard that takes me a whole day to mow and clean up. I decided to try LawnStarter and I am so glad I did. Gary and his team come on time and knock out 4 hours of work in 30-40 minutes. I love the way my yard looks and have never been happier with the way my home looks.

I dont know why I waited so long to sign up with LawnStarter. They do a fabulous job and I got 2 1/2 hours of my time.
