We have used TruGreen for a number of years but unfortunately there customer service has taken a turn for the worst. They recently charged our bank card over $1,000 for a treatment on a property that we didn't own, and haven't for years. Apparently they keep banking and card info for past properties on file. We had to bring the charge to thier attention, then were told they could not correct the mistake charge in a timely manner and it had to go to their corporate offices, out of the area, and would be weeks before we would receive a refund. Secondly, on a property we do own, the tech came out for a routine lawn treatment but sprayed herbicide on a bush that should not have been treated and it died. I've called and sent photos of the now dead bush over 2 week ago, I also requested a call back and no one from the company has ever returned my call. Truly unfortunate. We are now looking for a new lawn care company to take care of our properties.
Don’t waste your time. This company lacks customer service & common sense. Had an estimate done for our yard and then had to wait a month to talk to the technician who did the estimate. Once we finally talked to him and went over the estimate, he said I could pay ahead and get on the schedule for the next 2-3 weeks. I told him I’d talk to my husband and call back the next day. Called back and spoke to an office lady who told me that she wasn’t sure why he said that, but they cannot guarantee any time frame. They cannot even give you an estimate of the time frame it will be done in. They wanted me to pay for a service not knowing if it would even happen this summer and just cross my fingers that it would be done with no scheduled date. Horrible!
Driving through Somers headed to work yesterday, a TrueGreen pickup truck traveling too fast, crossed the middle line came into my lane nearly colliding with the the vehicle in front of me. Phoned TruGreen office- left a vm with my phone number explaining what just happened. No call back, no response whatsoever. Not a good look.
Very disappointed in the service we have been customers for over 10 years had a few late payments so we were flagged for slow payments and they cancel our service, sorry that my sons medical bills came first. I would not recommend the weed application we had our rocks sprayed multiple times last year and the weeds came back everytime.
It seems as though TruGreen doesn’t believe in following posted speed limits. After watching one of your employees drive through Woods Bay at what had to be near 60mph (posted speed limit is 35mph) and buzz by multiple homes and businesses I contacted the Lake County Sherrif’s office. They are now on the lookout for this business as am I.
Service has been getting consistently worse, year after year. This year I prepaid for 5 applications. We got 3 and now the snow is here. My neighbors on both sides got 4. I called and asked why they skipped my 4th application and was given excuses. Asked when they would be out. They could not tell me due to only scheduling two days out. Do yourself a favor and find a mother solution. This company has more work than they can handle and they don’t care about your satisfaction. AT ALL!
Have contract with them and pre paid. Showed up once after repeated calls and so late treatment was ineffective. Should be on my 3rd treatment now but haven’t heard from them. Go elsewhere. Year end update. Amazing, I get a request to rate your services and next day get notified you be out for my final treatment. You do realize that 3/5 of this years treatments were performed after our first frost date and the last treatment is being performed 3 weeks after the last, just working it in before year end. You'll understand why I won't be prepaying next years treatments - that is if I decide to give it one more shot.
I am pre-existing customer . I moved to a different part of town and placed an estimate request for service at the new residence and 2 weeks went by before i heard anything back. i called and left 2 messages and never heard back. I left a third message and was replied too with a TEXT message! Not even a phone call.. I was told it would be another 6-8 weeks before some one could come out and give me an estimate!!!!!! So when its said and done ill have waited 10 weeks for just an estimate! Seriously? I am already a customer with several years of loyalty. Worst part is i, literally live a 1/4 mile from them! This is how they treat customers. Whoever is running this business needs to make some changes and work on their customer service. Unsavory experience to say the least. Guess ill start doing my own lawn spraying from here on out. UPDATE 8-21-2024 the service is way better now. not sure what changed but im a happy customer and will continue to use them. The scheduling could be a bit better but i understand short staffed.
L-18 was quite rude to mcds employees heard him yell at them cuz no breakfast shouldve gotten here earlier.
Contacted them spring 2023 for an estimate. They finally, randomly showed up March 2024. I approved the estimate that week but it is now May and still havent heard back. I will be cancelling this based on this experience and other bad reviews. TruGreen Kalispell just does not care.
Bad, not sure what else to say. Had 3 properties sprayed in the past. Acted like that didnt matter. Found someone else. Thanks
I spoke with TruGreen in February pre paid. They were to fertilize our yard. Spring, summer and fall. It is now June and have yet to see or hear from them. I called and just got the run around. I cancelled my account and asked for my money back. Will see if that happens!!
I am disappointed to share a less than positive review for TruGreen, a local business. In summary, it took a year to receive a bid from them, and after paying upfront for lawn fertilization in May 2023, no work was done by mid to end of July. The lack of communication and business practices seem suspect. Its frustrating to deal with their poor customer service and refusal to take responsibility. Their AI-generated form letter requesting a reconsideration of my refund request only added to my dissatisfaction. - Unhappy in Columbia Falls
Im really not one to leave bad reviews, but hopefully this will help with their practices. We scheduled a couple months ago and was told they were understaffed and that it would be the first week or 2 of June which was cool. Called near the end of June to get an update to hear it would still be just a bit (understaffed which I get). Now were in August. I would have understood a we cannot take anymore customers response or you might want to go elsewhere response but disappointed in their kick the can down the road approach. Not a 1 star because they were polite on the phone and because all my neighbors yards that were recently serviced have beautiful lawns. Certainly willing to chat with them if they are interested
My lawn has a bit of weeds. Color is several shades of green. They will bill for free service calls . They will take their time to get on site to treat the lawn. In turn what they put down is not enough. They will give all the excuses why the lawn does not look good. They just needed to put more fertilizer down. I did a test area and put down the industry standard of 1 lb of nitrogen per 1000 sq ft. The test area looks great. If your particular about your lawn, take your money elsewhere.
I received a text on my phone informing me a technician was going to be out on Tuesday. At this point, I NEVER contacted TruGreen in order to discuss this years services. I called the office and a woman answered the phone. I told her I received a text about an upcoming service that I had not confirmed nor paid for. I told her that I thought this could be problematic for the company, ie...performing services without confirming it with the homeowner before had. I explained I traveled quite a bit and I dont always get messages, therefore, could I be liable for something I didnt request?? Her response...What do you want me to do? I am not a sensitive person....she was snotty and rude!! I told her I cancel this unless youre doing it for free. Ill go elsewhere...
I like their services but their business processes need some serious work. I had to call them no less than four times to get correct invoices issued. The first invoices sent at least allowed me to pay online, but the last ones sent have paper stubs to be mailed in, so Im going to have to call them again. Being able to select services and pay online would be a huge improvement.
I have a beautiful lawn and have always done it myself. This year, the prices of my chemicals went way up. So I called TruGreen. This is my first spring with NO dandelions and NO thin patches! Shoulda called them years ago. Positive
Its been a busy summer but we were a little disappointed to have to wait more than a month for services. We have been very pleased with customer service, both weed management and pest management and are looking forward to continuing our professional relationship with TruGreen.
We wanted to give a shout out to the fellow who fertilized and sprayed our lawn today. He did a very thorough job with this being our third time having them come this year. Please give him our thank you for the great job he did!
No issues, they are busy with alot of clients. Ready to schedule. Used for one year to soon to really see the results.
What the heck is this organization doing? Did not even have a phone number or address for us after servicing our lawn 2 times. Very confused on how this is sustainable from a reputable company.
Long time to get someone here to weed and feed, but when Ryan came he was very polite, thorough, and friendly despite having worked 12 hours by the time he came to my house. He still had 3 more lawns to do but never complained about how busy his day was. Everyone is short of help unfortunately. Would recommend true green. 4 stars just because of repeated calls to get them to treat my yard to begin with.
Only got an estimate so far but they showed up sooner than I expected and where very nice and answered all my silly questions!
12-21-21 Update on my review. Truegreen has new ownership. I have used them 2 years in a row and have had great communication. and great service. .

Paid for 5 treatments in full. When I called to inquire about the 2nd treatment application I was told we have absolutely no idea when it will be Soon was the best they could give us. Not sure I will stick by them again next year. Once you pay for all 5 treatments in advance it appears you are 2nd fiddle to new customer recruiting
I guess I should have read all the reviews, Was told to pre-pay to get service faster. But two weeks have gone by and all they can say is we have no idea when we will be there! what the ? I will update this review.
They came to arriate and left our gate open to the backyard. We did not know and let dogs out one ran off. Luckily we found her. Please leave things the way you found them!
After 3 applications we have more weeds and thistle than ever. After 2nd application the sprayer said it doesn t look like they ever even sprayed. After 3rd application I called and they won t even address it without charging for another application. Absolute waste of time and money dealing with them.
Had my lawn sprayed a few weeks ago and it looks great alot better then it usually does and a really nice green thank you guys great service and friendly.....
They are very nice and my lawn definitely looks green and their prices are competitive, but they werent the best at follow-up or really looking at some problem areas. They said they would send someone out twice and no one ever showed up. They are not bad, just not great and I didnt see the value it continuing with them.
This place is amazing and works really well. I accidentally gave them three stars but they are more like ten stars!!! They are just so awesome at making your lawn look perfect.
Makes yards green
First treatment was in a timely basis. I had to call and inquire about my 2nd & 3rd treatment after seeing their truck in my neighborhood 2 weeks previous. It rained within twenty minutes of my 4th treatment and they did not reapply. I finally called this week to cancel our service. I had paid in advance for one years service. I had $149 credit after my 4th treatment in September. They credited me $49; Trugreen charged me $100 to cancel their service. Really?
I would not recommend them to ANYONE!!! They got permission from our neighbor to spray our lawn with out our knowledge when we were not home, while our dog was outside also. They sprayed there chemicals all over our kids toys. Then sent us a bill. They are are joke of a company!!!!
