I have been a Weed Man customer for 8 years, and always have a great looking yard. Many of my neighbors now use Weed Man because my yard always looked superior. Highly recommend this service.
Weed man McKinney area is a joke. I had 2 treatments. One in March 2024 and April 2024 when everyone’s lawn around me started turning green and mines was still brown I noticed something was wrong. Contacted weed man they told me to email the manager pictures. Sent the pictures he said it will green up shortly and he will contact me in 10 days. 14 days roll around have not heard from him so I sent him more pictures and pictures of what my lawn looked like last year. He started getting snobby with me saying he’s not going to refund for services provided then he stopped responding to my emails. Never sender anyone out to see if there was anything that can be done about to lawn or proved any services. I took my card off file and they stopped coming to service my lawn. Here it is almost August and my yard has finally turned full green with a could have dead spots. Whatever they applied in March killed my grass. Stay far away from weed man McKinney area. The receptionist that answers the phone is really nice and apologetic but the manager is far from it. I have spent hundreds of dollars to get my yard to green up for the summer and now it’s almost time to go back dormant. And I have way more weeds than I have ever had before. Stay away gecko green is a better choice and I will be returned back to them. 1st pic Green yard 2023. 2nd pic April 2024. 3rd pic May 2024 4th pic backyard August 2, 2024 reply: true enough it was dormant when the first treatment was applied but if you look in the background everyone’s yard in the community is out of dormancy besides mines by April, that screams yal messed up and didn’t want to own up to it. I’m paying for services so why should my yard be the only brown yard in the community. And the reply to this post is just as snobby and unapologetic as the emails yal have sent. And I didn’t cancel service yal stopped coming and never sent anyone out to see if it could be fixed. So anyone considering weed man this is the customer service you get. STAY FAR AWAY! I am back with gecko green and my yard is recovering. Cheaper is not always better. And as far as taking a car to a shop when it’s broken, my yard was not broken my yard was perfectly fine I just switched services to save money and end up spending way more with you guys trying to fix my my grass yal killed!!! Zero stars for the attitude.
DFW-58177 Account Number, Date of April 30, 2024 and Invoice number: 752474 and location weed Man DFW PO box 489 Argyle, Texas 76226 I hired them to spray my lawn for weeds, and since I work from home, I am present every day. On the day of the first treatment, the technician arrived and initially complained about the distance and then about performing the job. Despite this, I proceeded to unlock my gate for him to treat both my front and back lawn. I was home and have three cameras installed, one of which captured him treating the front yard. However, I did not witness him treating the back yard, and he finished rather quickly. When I questioned him, he insisted he had treated the back yard, but upon reviewing my cameras the next day, it was clear he had not. I promptly contacted the company to inform them. The manager I spoke with responded unprofessionally, calling me a liar when I requested they send someone to complete the back yard treatment. Despite my evidence from the cameras and my presence at home, they are now insisting I pay for a service I did not receive. In fact, I had to hire another company to properly treat my lawn, which I also have proof of. It is incredibly frustrating and unfair that they are treating me this way, especially since I am the one who initially requested their service. I have offered to pay half of the bill for the front yard service, but they have not responded to this proposal. Threatening to send me to collections is unacceptable, and I am prepared to take legal action if necessary. This company's behavior is unprofessional and feels like a scam, especially given that I am not the first person to experience such treatment from them. I will not pay for their failure to provide the service I paid for in the first place. So, i understand this is a franchise and while not hearing my complaint you resort to saying that you don't have my name, so I have more than one email but here is my account number DFW-58177 and my name is Natasha Egharevba, Polley is a middle name thanks. Also, if there are another customers with similar stories lets connect, and see what we can get done together, this type of service is repulsive and they think they can get away with it. Not on my watch.
We have really enjoyed our Weed Man experience ever since we moved into our house 5+ years ago. It was a slow process and took a year or so before the weeds were truly under control, but we are pretty proud of how our yard looks each season and rarely see any issues. The best example is our back yard today (photo attached) - we back up to a property that is maintained by our HOA and the weeds literally stop at our property line! We appreciate the Weed Man team keeping our weeds at bay and the grass as happy as it can be in Texas!
I read some good reviews about Weed Man and decided to go with them in March 2022. I payed the entire year's fees in advance. Within a week they sent someone to spray the yard. Couple of weeks later I saw all the weeds growing with no improvement whatsoever. I reached out to their customer support and they told me that the weeds won't go in one application and that I should have patience. Ok fair enough. They don't provide any schedule for their visits, just a general guidance that they will visit every 6-8 weeks. So I waited patiently. It has been more than 8 weeks and they haven't shown up to spray my lawn. The weeds are flourishing in my yard. So I emailed support, told them the situation and asked for the date they will come for the second visit. They replied that they don't know the exact date as they haven't scheduled my visit. I think this is the worst customer service I have received. Weed Man does not show any desire to fix the situation and their quality of service is also sub par. I would never recommend them to anyone and after the second visit if there is no improvement I will discontinue their service.
Hired Weed Man to provide control of broadleaf weeds, Green Killinga and Poa Annual grass. Paid them for a period of 5 months. Dandelions have now spread over entire yard, Killinga now covers twice the surface are a than this spring and Poa grass has now come up everywhere. None of the broadleaf weed and Killinga treatments worked. They obviously applied no preemergent for the Poa grass because it's coming up everywhere. Requested a supervisor come discuss the issues. Was told they would come three different times but never showed. The last day a service tech showed up and I told him I was not paying any more without a visit from a manager. They sent me an email saying they did not want my business any more. Blow up the photos below and see if you want to pay for this kind of performance. They lied at every turn. A total waste of money. Beware!!
After 5 treatments my yard has new weeds I have not had before~ I did the extra treatments.....just had to cancel. Employees are super nice!!!! Huge positive, just results are horrible, I give them a 2 out of 10 because of the employees otherwise it would be a -10

My lawn had a bad case of stickers! Weedman took care of the problem fast. Excellent service and professional and friendly staff.
Unprofessional and lacks knowledge. Their services dont work and no one has good experiences with them. Should have read the Yelp reviews earlier. They came out to service and didnt care to come follow up when results werent showing. Called Weedex (WAY BETTER COMPANY) and they came out, did an analysis, talked it through, and treated my lawn. Within a month it was looking great. Weedman clearly arent men of their word and should not be trusted by anyone. Even their email response was rude. I wonder what they are self-conscious about. Probably that they arent a reputable company at all. I cancelled the services after the lady on the phone didnt agree to assist. Figured why waste time. Instead found a company like Weedex who takes time to help you out. Dont take my word, go look at the yelp reviews and Google reviews.
In reply to Troys response: You are a liar sir. You obviously do not require ANY one to approve services at all as I NEVER ASKED YOU TO COME OUT! Period. Deceptive Business Practices is what you do and I only offered to meet you half way on you screwing me b/c of the text that I missed due to a family emergency, not as blackmail. I wish I could give 0 or negative stars. Apologies in advance for the long post but worth the read so you dont get bamboozled by these prickly crooks the same way I did. I called for a quote and spoke to Troy (see how un-wonderful he is based on other posts here and on Yelp, just his public replies give you the hints you need that he is not a nice person). I asked for him to send me the information for how to get started and that I was actually going to call another company for a quote (since a neighbor had recommended someone else.) I ended up opting for the other guys. Go Evergreen Lawn & Landscape! Evergreen is AWESOME btw! I was told by Troy that I would need to go online to setup my account to make it official and get started. I never did so I assumed since I never agreed to anything, nothing would happen. Initial conversation with Troy was on 4/23/24. Then on 4/29/24 I receive a text that someone is coming to service the lawn the next day. I was in the middle of a family issue and barely glanced at the message thinking it was Evergreen. To my surprise, when I got home, there was a Weedman sign on my lawn and an invoice on my door. When I called to ask what happened and make sure at the very least that no additional services would happen, I explained calmly to the nice lady on the phone that I never actually accepted the service so was suprised that they came. She let me know her manager would reach out soon. (NOTE: At this point I hadn t asked for any discount or anything else, just wanted to know WHY they came i.e. what made them think I had requested and agreed to the service And to make sure it wasn t going to happen again). I got a prompt email from Troy telling me bluntly that in short: The service was completed, and your invoice is due in full. The only thing else he mentioned was what I just explained above. OK, so I like to give the benefit of the doubt if I can and obviously Troy could be a little bruised ego that I didnt choose his service; I decided it was a miss-understanding and at worst on my part, I should have checked the text I got so I made an offer. I said Id meet him half way on the invoice because they did spray, even though I NEVER authorized it and I just needed confirmation that they would not come out again. MAN-O-MAN was Troy a bit of a JERK after that. He went straight to threatening collections. ZERO customer service tactics involved at ANY level. OK, so now I look them up on here (google) and Yelp and even the BBB. Looks like they have poor ratings just about anywhere you look. I think some of these glowing 5 star ratings are probably paid for, but of course I cant prove that and just conjecturing..... I even found in SEVERAL posts about the company, and even Troy himself coming out without being asked and then charging an invoice for services not wanted!!!! Sounded too familiar. So here I decided Id let Troy know that maybe we can come to a mutual agreement and both walk away equally un-happy. If I paid half the invoice, at least he gets something and no bad reviews but if he insists on sending me to collections for services that were NOT requested or authorized, then I would just dispute them and make sure I tell as many people as possible about how crooked and terrible they actually are!!! ( I was nicer in the way I said it than I am venting my emotion here of course ). Troy said collections it is and ended the conversation. So fellow googler-reviewey public, you are welcome! PLEASE heed my advice and DO NOT give this company, especially Troy ANY of your business.....He might try to force himself on you anyway but dont let a bully bully you, stand up to him and don t let him get away with taking advantage of you!
I really wish I could give a zero star review. Shady business practices. And the whole time is nothing but rude.
Poor management and bad service. Hired these guys for lawn treatment. First service was for weeds, killed about a quarter of the weeds, the rest grew stronger than ever. Reached out to Troy and asked for another treatment for the weeds and was told it is a process. It will take time to kill the weeds. Second service the guy was at my house for approximately 12 minutes but spent 4 minutes actually applying product. I was told they applied fertilizer and soil revitalizer. The guy poured some product from a bag into the spreader so there is no way if that was the revitalizer that it mixed with the fertilizer to properly treat the lawn. When asked Troy said both applications were applied and I owe the money. I asked about the way they apply and that there was no way they covered my front lawn with only two passes and he refused to answer my request for proper application process. The way they contact you via text the night before they are going to provide service is a joke. A few days notice would be nice, especially if you travel or have pets. I would not recommend this particular location to anyone due to management. I will also be contacting corporate since this is a franchise. Update- I have time stamps of when the guy showed up and when he put the bill on my door. The bill was only for fertilizer so he was not even aware that he was supposed to do the liquid or else that bill would have been there also. He was at my home 10 minutes and in my yard 4 minutes. No hose ever came out of the truck. It is unfortunate you feel the need to lie and steal from your clients. I will definitely now be reaching out to corporate and would suggest others do the same!!
First, let me say I had weed man services for several years in another location and had amazing service with zero issues. This location not the case. First, when I signed up I told the rep that I had dogs and would like to be notified when they will be on property. They just showed up a couple weeks after without warning. About a month or so later I wrote a message asking when they would be out next. I didn t get a date. The following week (5/13) they showed up again randomly again. Typically I like to cut my grass better treatment and didn t have the chance. The same afternoon I sent a message asking for a call. I m not always in the best area with work to call. I wanted to discuss no notifications and ask about the grass not being cut. This is where things went south I was sent an email back with the subject line ?? The body of the email We just treated your property today. What do you need? I replied back that I asked for a call not to be asked what do I need. To get the response You can call us anytime between 8-5 as well. to get this response as a customer I was thrown off a bit. So I called the next day 5/14 and told that the person I was emailing was the manager and they would live a note for the owner. I never heard back so I call today 5/16 just to be told I couldn t talk to the owner and if I wanted to cancel that fine. This could have been handled much better. It could have been an easy fix. This location gives weed man a bad name. The manager needs a class on customer service. As you can see from other reviews and responses this is likely the manager as well. The way he talks to people here is how he communicates to customers. I still stand by weedman just not this guy and his business practices I ll be awaiting the reply.
Yikes, 0% recommendation due to the management. I had a problem with my service and the manager showed both poor customer service and immaturity. He wouldnt even tell me his name, when I asked who he was (due to such poor customer service) he just said Im the manager, it was a bit shocking. Mistakes occur, thats understandable, but with so many other competitors who are happy to prioritize high customer service, go somewhere else.
Hired Weedman to care for my lawn because I have a real aggressive weed that traditional treatment will not kill. Marty sent his partner Tommy and said he would take care of the weed but needed a higher temp. Thank you Marty and Tommy.
Consumer Beware! After several attempts to contact this company about billing questions, the cowards never responded and sent me to collections. I tried several emails and phone calls that went unanswered. When they were done with my yard, it was full of weeds. Also, if Marty shows up at your house, it will be unannounced, and he will belittle you for questions about your service. So just a word of warning about Weedman. There are much better companies out there for better prices; shop around! So to respond, all the contact was made prior to your billing statement being sent. Once the statement was received and contact was attempted, there was no response. I have the emails if you would like them with dates sent and no reply from WeedMan.
Weedman has always been professional to us and got the crab grass removed from our lawn when their competitor could not.
Last week I was concerned about my grass and so when the technician was out to apply the application we discussed the growth in some areas. Because the technician was not familiar with the previously applied applications he suggested I contact the main office for guidance on proper growth in some identified areas of my lawn. When I reached out to our office I was greeted by Troy who not only helped to answer my questions remotely but he also had a seasoned technician come and evaluate our lawn. Service with a + is how I d describe my experience today. Thanks team Weed Man !!!
Signed up for weed application and did not keep up with the promised effective applications. Had 3 applications and after 2nd and 3rd applications the weeds are same and at same locations. No explanations or advice etc. Showed them videos and asked for cancellation. I would not recommend them in Frisco area.
I decided on Weedman this year because, as I looked around the neighborhood, all the nice yards had a Weedman sign in their yard. I signed up middle of summer and after just 1 treatment, along with their watering and mowing suggestions, I could tell my yard was starting to thrive, even during the heat stress of summer. Their watering program alone is fantastic. And their team is very responsive to address any needs or concerns I have. Glad to have them servicing my yard and am happy to recommend Weedman.
As a new north Texas resident (from the midwest), I learned a lot about the needs of a lawn in this climate, very different from lawns in Wisconsin. I was pleased with all the time that was taken with me to learn about my particular run down yard and build a plan for making it thrive again. The seasons and the soil are so different here - it helps to know what an owner should do, as well as what the lawn service can accomplish. I recommend both the office staff and the field workers - helpful and knowledgeable!
RUN! I should have read the reviews before signing up for 1 year of services. Not only did we see no improvement, but the weeds actually got WORSE! I tried calling and emailing WEEDMAN to discuss why treatments werent working. Never heard back. Then they randomly sent someone back out to do another service and sent me a bill for it. When I emailed to ask why I was being charged, THEY ACTUALLY RESPONDED. Which just goes to show they only care about $$ and not their actual clients or workmanship. They said since I opened the renewal email, that the invoice would be due in full. Even though I only opened the renewal email to respond asking for someone to call me regarding why services were not working. WHICH THEY DID NOT EVEN RESPOND TOO. If you choose this company you are just giving them your hard earned money for no help with weeds, terrible customer service & business practices
I requested a quote online, and Troy one of the managers proceeded to start service on my lawn without any notification, now they are charging me and threatening to turn over my bill to collections, very unprofessional company and service.
We used this company for fertilization last year on a brand new zoysia yard. Dead- half of our yard is dead after spending all that money on new grass. It died pretty quick after they fertilized and didn t come back this year. My husband tried to call the company and noone ever called him back. DO NOT use them!!
Man I dodged a bullet. I was told my first service would be last week. I waited patiently to be contacted as I was told they would let me know date and time a day prior. Sunday evening which was yesterday, I received a text saying they would be coming to service today Monday the 16. Since they did not fit me within the promised window, I responded that I no longer needed their service. They should have kept me abreast if they were unable to make it last week. This morning , I woke up to a nasty text response telling me not to ever bother requesting service from them in the future. Lol .. what kind of customer service is this? I hadnt read the reviews and now after scrolling down the reviews seems that their products dont even work! Thank goodness I dodged this mess. Good riddance! Ps: Your responses to complaints expose what type of attitude is prevalent within this company. Stop being combative . Its a terrible look!!
Poor results, could do it myself much better and 10 times cheaper. There is no personalization of service, no attention to detail, no reflection on results.
These guys are great! Had a terrible fungus in the neighborhood brought in from a random mowing company late 2021. Weedman identified our issues and got right to work. Knocked out the fungus and also put us on a fertilizer and weed control program to get our lawn back on track. I can say 6 months in, and our yard looks amazing and the envy of our neighbors again. Thank you!
Edited: Changed from 2 stars to 1 star. Instead of apologizing, Weed man replied to this review to make excuses. I was wrong about the 4 hours so I removed that from my original review. I attached a picture of the last 4 texts I sent with no reply to them. Not even now. I gave a fair and honest review to hopefully help them in the future but it doesn t seem like they are open to feedback at all. Weed Man weed control services was promising when I started. They were helpful and knowledgeable when they came by and they answered my questions. Heres why I gave them 2 stars and what frustrated me as a customer. They are not flexible, they dont work with your schedule, and they are not responsive. I got a text the day before they were coming. I text back asking to reschedule since I keep my backyard locked when Im not there. I never keep it unlocked. they told me they cant reschedule and they decide the route for whats best for their schedule. Then I text back to cancel my service. I didnt hear a response. The next day I texted again to confirm the cancellation... no response. I called in and they said they cancelled the service. I wanted to use them more, but this lack of communication, one day notice and lack of working around my schedule, the customer, was very frustrating.
The Weed Man is Awesome!! My yard looks so green and pretty even after just one treatment! They are so friendly, its a good price and great quality! I highly recommend.
Just wanted to write a quick review about my experience with Weed Man and Josh, our technician. We are new customers who just signed up 2 days ago. Josh was at our house applying product 48 hours after we signed up. My wife and I are very impressed! Josh took the time to speak with me about what my expectations should be with the application he just applied and what I should see with future applications. I know technicians have a busy schedules so it meant a lot for him to take the time to explain how the program works. Just wanted to give Josh some kuddos for great customer service. Also wanted to gove some kuddos to Weed Man for getting us on the schedule so quickly.
We were given a three hour window of when they would arrive. They never showed up. We called and were told they were three stops away two hours past their window. We will never use this company and we will share our experience with others so they do not waste their time or money.
They charged me for services they did not perform. I was in my office at the front of my house when they arrived (dog barked). I went to the back of my house and put on shoes and went into the backyard where the services were to be performed because I wanted to discuss the fungus problem. I waited about ten minutes and went to the front yard and the person (who also is the owner) was leaving. When I complained the next working day I was told by the office staff that they would look into the matter and talk to the owner. Just to farther explain why I believe they did not apply a treatment: 1. Could not have done job in time I put on shoes. 2. If they went into backyard, dog would have gone crazy. 3. Because of heavy rain, the only way to get into my back yard was muddy, they left no foot prints, or indication of a hose being dragged. I left footprints as well as my dog. 4. Front yard was damp (from rain) much like dew, it also did not have footprints or indications of a hose being dragged, and again when I walked over it, I left footprints. 5. I rubbed my hand over the grass in the back where they claimed to have sprayed, and while it was wet, it had absolutely no odor, which I believe a fungicide would have left for more than 10 minutes after application. When the office staff called me back the following day, she stated that the owner said he did it, he remembered the house and leaving the invoice (of course he remembered the invoice -- could not be paid with out it) and that I would have to pay. I am stuck paying as I had prepaid for yearly service, which I cancelled, but they withheld the amount of the service from my refund. Lastly they charged me $21 more than quoted. The owner hides behind the skirts of his office staff so he does not have to confront unhappy customers. They can only relay what he says, but can take no action. The following is just SPECULATION, when I agreed to the fungus treatment, they warned that it might take 1 or two additional treatments, I believe that they try to assure that by not actually doing a first treatment.
They didnt tell us that they were not getting payment on time. Not only did they stop giving us service WITHOUT notice. They locked our account so that we couldnt pay online, and then started to charge us a late fee. How are you supposed to pay if you lock the account? DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I am out of town alot due to a hospice situation. I have my mail held at the post office. I returned home after being away for 60 days to find a statement. I immediately called to make a payment. I noticed that a $5 penalty had been added for a September service for which I never received an invoice I asked for the penalty to be waived. They refused. I asked to speak with the owner and he refused to speak with me. I have been a customer for years and told them in would cancel and use a competitor if they wouldnt waive this insignificant penalty. They said go ahead. So I am paid in full and they have lost a customer with plenty of time to post my story all over social media. I would never recommend this company to anyone
DONT EVEN TOUCH THEM 100FT POLE... Had 3 lawn treatments; no improvement, still full of weeds. After first application, called & was told, will look good after 2nd. After 2nd, called & was told, it will be good only after 3 applications. Did 3rd, and my weed is growing stronger & taller than my grass. close to $150 wasted. Thank you weedman for the excellent quality & response even after a customer calls with a concern. After all this, I called to cancel the service, they didnt even ask why I am cancelling. I am sure they are making money by these one of deals, by spraying nothing & charging 50bucks..
I paid for the year in advance. Service was months late for every application even when I would call to ask when they were coming, they said they were understaffed and the standard answer was they would be here next week which never happened. Summer fertilizer application was in September, stress reduction fertilizer was in November In November they charged me for 2 applications on the same day. When they do arrive, they literally drive up and drive away within 5 minutes. They apply so little product it is difficult to see any in the lawn. They are careful not to get any product near any hard surfaces so they do not need to clean off concrete. One person said that their blower was in the shop so he wouldn t be able to clean the concrete if he were to get any on it. I watched them walk past areas of the lawn without applying any product. My lawn had a green patch near the center this fall and has a lot of weeds. When I have called I was told a manager would call me back within 24 hours but it never happened. This company is a complete waste of time and money.
I used Weeman services starting April 3, 2019 and I was happy with the service. On February and before end of the subscription year, most of the weed in the main front yard area was gone but not the area between the side walk and street. It had A LOT of weed some almost 10 inches high and was very visible though the last spray by weedman was made about two months ago in January. It seemed to me that the spraying missed the sidewalk area. I had to cut the lawn just to make the weed less visible (check images after cut) Contacted Weeman but they stated that since the last weed spray was complete, I am no longer a customer. I ended up with a LOT more weed on the side walk than I initially had because, I believe, spraying the sidewalk was missed. When I tried to escalate because the year is not over, I got the following answer: You are not a customer of Weed Man at this time. I am upper Management. This will be the last response you will receive. Regards, Troy
Weed Man reps take the time to look at your lawn and see what s going on with it. I noticed he applied the treatment more carefully than my previous company. I went outside, and he took the time to greet me as a new customer. So far I m getting a higher quality service than the other guys who always seemed to speed through everything.
After 2 years of service it has come to this. I was hoping it wouldn t, but unfortunately it has. I ve waited well over a week for a call back from the owner after calling (3) THREE times. I ve left messages expecting a call, being told he would call, but no calls. Two Saturdays ago they came out for a visit to fertilize the yard. They did fertilize the front, but not the back. We were all home. No call, no knock, nothing.. just left a $50 bill on the door as usual. I immediately called and left a message that we were home and wanted to know why they didn t fertilize the back. No return call. The following week I called again to speak with a supervisor/manager. I was told he would call me back and was on the phone. I waited a couple hours.. called again. Oh, he s gone for the day, he ll call you next week. Still no phone call. My yard is so full of weeds and looks like a nutsedge lawn. I have more broadleaf in my yard than I ve ever had. I ll post pictures tomorrow. If you want to be a reputable company, you would come look at it and you would agree it s in terrible shape and also offer to resolve the issues. You would also call your customers back when they re told you would call them back. You would also not charge customers a full price for a service that you only performed half of. I have never, ever, not paid a bill. I will dispute this past payment with the credit card company as a service not received (as I should the last 10 because my yard looks like trash). I will also make sure to let everyone in our neighborhood know just how you operate your business. All of this could have been avoided with a phone call. Instead you pick and choose which customers you want to deal with, and which you don t. Never will I recommend you again, and never will you step foot on my property. What a shame.
So I have filed a complaint with the BBB. Here is what happened and their worthless response to the BBB... Their employee pulled up in front of our house. He got out and left a bill on our front door for services rendered and drove off (according to Weedman, he was at my house a whole 10 minutes.. WOW). My wife was home and watched him and he did not apply anything to our yard. According to their response they only need 4 minutes to apply chemical to my yard... 4 MINUTES for both sides of the front yard, side yards, back yard and behind the fence. 4 MINUTES!!! No wonder I still have large weeds growing in my yard and have for months. Their customer service is awful. They expect payment, but can t back they did the work. I can back the fact they did not with all the weeds in my yard. Cancelled their service and asked them to credit $47.50 for the last service. I even gave them a chance to correct this before posting all this. They chose not to. Here is their response to my BBB complaint (its all excuses): Our technicians do sit in the truck to perform the necessary paperwork on each visit, which is done after they have performed the treatment. The technician arrived at your home on 1/31/2020 at 8:42 AM, and left at 8:52 AM; we have tracking data for every truck. Therefore, it is impossible that he pulled up in front of our house. Got out and left a bill on our front door for services rendered and drove off. It takes 4-5 min to apply the treatment to your size lawn; he even spot-treat a couple of weeds at that visit. What your lawn looks like today, ten weeks later, is not an indication that a previous application was not performed. Lawns are living organisms; they are affected by many environmental conditions and require regular attention. Golf courses do not look like they do from only giving it attention every 6-8 weeks; they attend to it daily. Spring-time is the most vulnerable time of year for weed outbreaks as not all weeds are preventable. Every lawn - EVERY LAWN, even golf courses - will have weeds in the Spring-time, irrelevant of what was applied to it on previous applications. We treat weeds in lawns all the time because you cannot prevent every weed and still grow a lawn. We do not refund money or credit accounts when the treatment was applied to the lawn. You cant remove the product from the lawn once it is applied to receive a credit or refund.
Still have 100s off weeds in my lawn. When called to ask for another application, they agreed to come. But she needed to tell me because I m new that it s going to take a while. I said I disagree based off my past services. She then told me that she wouldn t expect every weed to be gone. Which in reality may be true, but I literally have 100s of them. Not to mention the tech that can me out thought my street needed to be his litter box. Canceled after our conversation. Thanks for nothing and now I have to wait 2-4 weeks for a refund. If in Roanoke, run away immediately!
I ve been a customer of this company for several years. I noticed more weeds than usual last season, but never called because they ve always done a decent job. I chalked it up to a bad year for weeds. This year has been even worse. I have more weeds in my yard than I ve ever seen. I had to call them two times to get someone out to my house for a re-treatment. In my opinion he did a mediocre job when he came out. I pay in advance for the following year every November-December. I have referred people to their service. If they treat long term customers this way, I can t imagine new customers get treated any better.

Last year we had fungus and chinch bugs....I was ready to pull it all out and xeriscape. We decided to give it one more year so we brought in Weed Man. We now have the best looking lawn in our neighborhood. I simply cant say enough great things about this team, their service and the great results!
The services that Weed Man provides is Top Notch and 2nd to none. I used to use another higly rated company but I was not satisfied with their work or the end results. However, ever since I hired Weed Man the results are amazing and my lawn has never looked greener, healthier and weed free and I have lived here for 17 years. Been with then for many years now. Service is going down hill. Discounts are offered and then not honnered. They say an email was sent but I never opened it thats because it was in spam. For the small yard I have they are very expensive. Also I called over and over for service but have been told to do ... and call us back. I feel like I call tech support where I am told to reboot the computer and then call back. All this said I will not be using weed man going forward.
Problems with the very first service and had to cancel. Only performed services on part of the lawn, not everywhere. I called immediately to discuss and basically told me they wont come back out until the next application. If I didnt feel good about that, then we can cancel and go our separate ways. WE WENT OUR SEPARATE WAYS! You better be home and outside watching them do the work! 3/7/19 - NOTE: 1. WE WERE AT HOME DURING THE TIME OF THE VISIT. 2. SEVERAL CAMERAS AROUND THE HOME. 3. I started utilizing Weedman last spring when I had zoysia sod installed. On the initial visit the tech was very nice and expressed concerns about the sod not being established enough to treat. The treated the rest of my yard and came back for the zoysia free of charge. The Weedman gave specific watering instructions that are very cost effective. I was having difficulty programming the sprinkler system and the owner himself came out and programed it for me When I asked him what I owed him, he insisted on not charging me. I would encourage the general public to have their soil tested. The Agg students at A&M will do it for free. It gives great insight to the soil PH. If your soil is not balanced all the treatments in the world are for naught I believe the Weedman can provide supplements to keep the PH balanced. I couldnt be happier with the service. Any assertion that the employees are unprofessional or dishonest is flat out untrue. Shame on them!
Great lawn care service! Moved into a new house and the grass was fairly neglected. Weedman was able to get it back to great conditions quickly without overcharging. They always work with me on payments and have incredible customer service!
*** Owner response is NOT TRUE.*** I first called to complain 1 WEEK after the treatment and have a PICTURE of the weeds TIME STAMPED one week after the treatment date of the invoice.*** Bad experience in every measurable way Im sad to say. I had the weedman come out to spray for weeds, and I truly believe they applied fertilizer by mistake, because the weeds flourished. A week after the treatment no weeds were dead and the henbit in my yard grew substantially. When you name your business weedman killing weeds would seem to be at least one thing you do right. I called several times asking to speak to the owner and I emailed the owner asking to discuss my concerns. I never got the slightest sniff of a reply. Looking at the other reviews this behavior seems to be the status quo here.

Very disappointing how poor customer service was. I was not pleased with high amount of weeds in early spring and several bare spots. I asked them to consider not charging for treatment and instead she threatens to put me in collections. I have quit Weedman for good. They should have just stood by their work and not charged. Harder to get a new customer than keep one happy. Plus I will never recommend them. The fact that you have so many customers complaining of the same issue - a lot of weeds and dead spots shows poor customer service. All I asked was for consideration twice and the fact your owner was out and didn t do anything to make up for the bad lawn care shows exactly why I will never recommend Weedman! You spend a lot of time responding to bad google reviews obviously.

After the insanely wet winter we had last year my yard was over taken by several different species of weeds. We tried treating the yard ourselves and it didnt seem to make a difference. These guys are great. Its a turn key service that I dont have to worry about. They always let me know ahead of time when they are coming. My yard looks good and I rarely see any weeds. Furthermore, their prices are comparable to buying weed and feed every 2 to 3 months, and I dont have lift a finger.

several times I paid for front and back services and caught them on my cameras barely spraying my front lawn and not even all of my front lawn and never going to my back lawn. I called several times to have them come out to fix it even told them I would email the video. They told me they werent coming back out and that I still needed to pay the bill. DO NOT USE THEM!! Customer service is horrible and they dont care whether they do the job promised or not.

We have used Weed Man for close to 10 years, after having issues with other providers. We have had awesome results, in fact most of our neighbors have asked who we use, switched to Weed Man and also had great results. We are very happy customers. If we have any issue at all with stubborn weeds, someone comes out and treats them until they are gone.
Fair warning, look elsewhere for service. My yard was treated and now looks horrible. The owner, Tony came out to look and, on a note pinned to my front door, stated that the yard was, in overall good health , and the thin areas are shade related . My yard has 3 small oak trees which does not explain 80% of the dead grass found on both the front and rear areas. Neither of the two owners felt that it was important to personally call and discuss my concerns with me. At a minimum, Tony should have been honest and said that the yard does look bad and here s what we should do to fix it. I have disolved my professional relationship with this company and would suggest everyone think twice about paying them for horrible customer service and thin, dead grass.
Beware... First of all, I gave this company 2 years to do a better job before deciding to move on. When you spend this much a month on weed control and pre-emergent chemicals for your lawn you shouldn t still have to pull several bins full of weeds! After, you ve decided you had enough of this companys lousy weed control they will make you prove you cancelled (despite telling tech, texting and calling office). They lie and say they don t have record of your call. So mistakes happen, but it s not a mistake when they don t disclose upfront that s how it works . After finally canceling your service and agreeing to correct your account they DONT and lie about it (forcing you to follow up every month) hoping you will just pay to avoid collections. For most of us hard-working people, this is very time consuming and this is just another company trying to squeeze a few extra dollars out of you on the backend. It just amazes me how businesses that operate this way stay in business. I m not worried about my measly $60 but writing this review to to help warn others of this company s poor service, disingenuous staff and the way they operate. Don t just take my word for it...Found several similarity negative reviews on their website from others with the same concern. There are a lot of other companies providing these service s that won t leave you feeling wronged and will do the right thing by their customers. Sometimes you don t know how little you are valued until you go elsewhere.

I had TrueGreen services for several years, and after the last supervisor visit admitted they could not do any better eliminating the weeds, even though they supposedly guaranteed their services, I decided to shop around for another lawn service and found Weedman. Now I wish I had contacted them years ago. Never in the over 30 years of living in my home have I been so pleased with their service. My lawn has never looked so good, and when a weed does pop up, I know that Weedman will be there!

Some of the worst service I have ever experienced in over 30 years of working with lawn service companies! They do not deliver what they promise and then charge for services that were not rendered. I would certainly never use this company! Weeds never went Way. And had to repeatedly called to have Reapplications done and even then the weeds did not disappear!
If you have a problem with your yard , I would not recommend this company. We had them for one year and our yard did not improve at all. We have shade and bare spots and we still have bare spots. If you already have a lush lawn, they might help you but they certainly do not improve a yard that has problems. I also advise you to check that every applications is applied thoroughly Good Luck.
Ive called six times about the weeds around my house. They always say they will take care of it. I bought their full service for the last couple years. The last year starting in 2017 they have had terrible service. Our grass looks worse than ever and we have more weeds than we ever have. I asked for a refund and the owner said we do not do refund. I asked to have them warranty the service and they said well if you plan on canceling on us we will not warranty our work if thats your intent.
Have been using weedman off and on for three years now. Had them come treat my yard and then they aerated my yard and broke sprinklers and damaged drip hoses even though I marked them. Have weeds everywhere and are never taken care of after you call them. Go somewhere else.

This place is run by crooks, They do not perform the service and send you a bill. I would watch them like a hawk. They will do good at first then they will sit in their in truck and bill you. I have tired to call and contact them many times and they dont care about what you say. They came out and you get a bill. That is the end of their story.
We have been a customer with WeedManDFW going on 7 years now. Our yard looks amazing. Our builder laid down sod over a lot that sat for over a year. We literally had weeds pushing up between the sod lines. After a year of trying everything I could find at Home Depot and Lowes I gave these guys a call. Their prices beat out TruGreen and Chemawn as well. Not sure how other reviewers had issues getting ahold of them. Ive had to contact them twice. Once to identify why St. Augustine was thriving in my back yard of Bermuda. They came out and showed me it was creeping up under the fence from my neighbors lawn and offered some suggestions. The other time we were out of town when they came out. We lock our gates. No problem. When we returned they sent someone right out to treat the back.
I have noticed our yard getting better and better over time thanks to Weed Mans services.

Wow.wow.wow! The Bermuda in our front lawn from a distance looks like Zoysia - dark green and so thick after just one treatment from Weedman. Before that treatment, we thought we were going to need to till the area, throw out the existing Bermuda and bring in new sod - it was that thin and yellow. Weve used TruGreen, GroGreen and Bizzy Bees over the years, and our lawn has never looked so lush and healthy. In just 4-5 weeks, we now have the best looking Bermuda lawn on our street. After we called to ask them to come back out and re-treat a pesky patch of crabgrass...they promptly did so. Wish all my encounters with service firms went as well as my experience with Weedman.
Youre better off burying your money in your lawn. I initially started with DFW Weedman because of the friendly, knowledgeable gentleman who answered the phone. He relayed how he had worked for a name brand competitor of DFW Weedman for multiple years and how Weedman can provide more specific treatments than the name brand providers. I started the service with DFW Weedman June/July of 2015. After the first couple treatments, I didnt see any reduction in the heavy amount of weeds I had in my lawn. When I called DFW Weedman I was told that 90% of the weeds are treated in the fall with a pre-emergent treatment. However, in the meantime, they would send someone out to spot treat. The spot treatments NEVER resulted in a reduction of weeds. Nevertheless, I figured Id wait and give DFW Weedman the chance to turn around my lawn with the coming of the New Year. Now, after a full year of service with DFW Weedman, I am unhappy to report I have just as many weeds in my lawn as I did last year. This is after 3 or more calls to their office (and over $500 paid to them) where they offered to send someone out to look at the lawn, and ultimately have someone come out and apply a treatment with NO results. To recap, save your money. This isnt the company you want treating your weeds.
After 1 year of service and applying pre-emergent fall, early spring, spring and all sorts of treatments, they have not been able to control the existing crab grass and new weeds that are now sprouting up.. Not a happy customer.. I have complained to them but they are asking for more money. Somehow pouring more money this way doest think is going to work.
Fungus has found its way into my lawn. I forwarded photos to weedman and they were able to diagnose the problem. They offeeed a solution and came out the next day to treat it.
