Jose Ortiz came to my home, made a bid that I accepted, and said he'd be here "this week." The week passed, then the weekend, and no Ortiz. On Tuesday of the following week, Ortiz showed up unannounced, then proceeded to try and extort additional money (nearly double the original bid) out of me for the work. I reminded him of the details of our conversation, but he insisted that he was no longer willing to honor his bid from the previous week, and then laughed at me when I mentioned that kind of bait-and-switch behavior is unprofessional. I told him I'd be posting a review of my experience and he laughed even harder... probably because he doesn't care what his customers think of him. I had to ask him to leave 4 times before he complied. Just shockingly unprofessional, unethical behavior. It's clear to me that Jose Ortiz is unethical, and unwilling to keep his own time or price commitments when it suits him. Do business with him as you see fit, but this is who he showed himself to be.
