Ginkgo Landscaping in Joliet

Great company, professional and reasonably priced. We have used them a couple times for landscaping and just recently had a huge tree removed. Would highly recommend and will use Ginkgo again!

I recently had a tree cut down by Ginkgo. Not only were they able to accommodate my schedule by removing the tree 3 days after I obtained a quote, but they were also 30% lower than the next best offer. The tree was approximately 40 ft tall and surrounded on three sides by a nearby fence and within 10 ft of my home. The crew worked together as a team and you could tell that they were very experienced. Despite the close quarters in which they had to work, they got the entire tree down in about 1 and 1/2 hours without incident. They ground down the large stump and cleaned up the area. It was pretty impressive watching the guy in the tree with the chainsaw and how he tied things off prior to cutting the limbs and the guys on the ground directed which way the limbs would fall to avoid any damage. Given the cost and the experience of the crew that took the tree down, I was very impressed. I have already recommended them to two friends.

This is going to a very honest review. I'm neither happy with the job, nor very disappointed. For the quote, I gave the employee very straight forward instructions; Simply clear out and remove all debris from the beds around my house, which included removing the landscape rocks, lava rocks and stumps. Then till and level/grade the beds. I laid ground work and removed bushes and grass prior. They finished the job and I was impressed. I also saw the pile of landscape rocks on the side of the house, so I was glad that was done. Then... It rained heavily today and I noticed something... Not all of the landscape rocks lining the beds were removed. They only removed the rocks from one bed and the rest were covered up with soil. I don't think it was miscommunication since there would be no reason to bury the rocks and they were clearly visible at the beginning of the job. I paid $1,700.00 (which did include weed whacking around a small pond and leveling of previously ground stumps). For that money, I expect the job to be done in full. On a positive note; they did grind about 7 extra medium stumps that weren't included in the quote, the crew was polite and punctual, good initial customer service and communication. Unfortunately, that doesn't make up for the one ton of rocks I'll have to remove myself. I've included photos. This first is the pile of rocks they removed and the second two are just a few of the dozens that were buried.

Ginkgo Landscaping came and completely transformed my home! I didn't realize how awful our landscaping was until Ginkgo got done making it look amazing! They went above and beyond what I even imagined! They put in so much time and effort, and I am beyond thrilled with the result!! Their prices are great; their entire staff is amazing; and their work is incredible! Highly, highly recommend!!!!

We had extensive work done to our property: several trees removed, heavy weeding, evergreen trimming, shrub removal, ivy removal, etc. The crew was punctual, and the work was completed in one day. They walked the property with me before leaving to ensure everything was completed. I received a call the following day as well to make sure I was happy with the work. I highly recommend Gingko!

Ginkgo is the BEST !!!!. Starting with my job estimator Amanda to the actual crew who came to my house were absolutely the best, I have ever used. These guys are meticulous and well skilled in what they do. The went above and beyond to clean my Silver maple and remove a huge branch that was sitting way over my home. When they are done the clean up they do is fantastic, looked like nobody was even working in the area. They have a customer for life. They were so good with the tree service, they have also now become my landscaper as they do both.

Gingko removed a very large maple tree for me, and their work was excellent. I had several companies give me estimates for the job, and their quote was the lowest by a few hundred dollars. They also brought proof of liability insurance to the estimate and gave me the quote in writing, which the other companies I talked to did not. The day before the service was scheduled, they called to remind me of it and let me know what time to expect them. They arrived right on time the next morning and got right to work. By lunchtime, the tree was gone, the large tree next to it had been trimmed (at no additional charge), and my yard was as clean as it had been before they arrived. Everyone was very pleasant to deal with, and they charged me exactly what they estimated. I am extremely happy with the job they did and would recommend Gingko Landscaping to anyone.

Definitely recommended! Had 4 trees worked on- raising low hanging branches, removing dead wood while also grinding two stumps. Group of six were courteous, arrived ahead of schedule and incredible clean up. 100% recommended will use in the future. Thanks to Amanda and the crew on Saturday!
