Update: We hired Greenworks to remove another two trees for us a few years after the review below, and they were every bit as awesome as the first time! We initially chose Greenworks because after calling several other tree-removal companies, they were the only one in the area that would come out to Memphis; had we known that they would do such an excellent job, we would have called them first!! Both the trees wed requested removed were taken down with obvious professionalism, and the crew even went the extra mile and cleaned up every last branch and leaf that had fallen during the process. We couldnt be happier!

From a complete removal of our entire overgrown landscape of numerous trees and shrubs to a pristine and well designed selection of new plants, we couldnt be more pleased with the final product. Even a last minute substitution of one of the trees didnt delay their progress. The owner, Richard and office manager, Ellie were personable and easy to work with. We strongly recommend their services. Oh, one more thing, their prices are quite reasonable!

Super excited when I got a phone answer and was scheudled the next day. However in the end I was really disappointed with the service I experienced. They missed scheduled cuts multiple times and even cancelled my service unexpectedly. They tried to push me to upgrade to weekly cuts instead of addressing their reliability issues. I didnt mind my grass getting a little long being bi-weekly it was the poor customer management, lack of follow-through, and guessing that left me frustrated. Not about to beg someone to take my money

This company headed out during storms and high winds to assist my elderly parents when their neighbors tall pine trees were uprooted during the storm and falling toward my parents patio home! The worker I spoke to that night got to their house ASAP and assessed the situation. My parents were saved from any damage to their home, only to the fence between their neighbors house and theirs. It could have been SO much worse! I highly recommend this company. If I need tree work done in MY yard, they ll be the first ones I call!

Greenworks Lawn never called me back. I left a lengthy voice-mail message. Im president of an HOA & I guess you dont want my business. Failure to return calls can lead to bad consequences.

Greenworks Lawn did a good job removing limbs that had fallen out of my tree, and they cleaned up well. The bad part is they charged $500 for a job that took 2 guys less than 1 hour to complete.

I had a large tree removed in tight quarters above my pool, deck and large swingset. I was a nervous wreck but they did not drop one single branch. I was amazed. It was very impressive. They completely cleaned up their mess afterwards like they were never there. I first want to state I have known the business owner, Richard since before he started his business at a young age. His character is impeccable and his quality of work is second to none. He is wired for excellence in all he does. Richard started out cutting my grass when he was a teenager and I could tell by his work ethic he would be a huge success. He has since then grew to landscaping, tree trimming, tree removal, stump removal and snow removal which he has provided many of these services for me with perfect results. His last job for me was trimming a large maple tree with limbs hanging over my house and over a birch tree I planted and hoped to spare getting damaged. Richards crew fell the limbs with precision, never once dropping limbs close to the house or my birch tree. It was beautiful to behold how these guys tie off and drop branches so smoothly. Best of all, they trimmed my tree and kept its natural shape rather than lopping it all off the top and look like it was just topped off. It was just thinned out and looks great. My experience with Greenworks was exceptional. On Friday the 6th of August a large tree fell on my house. This for obvious reason was upsetting. I called Greenworks and in less than 45 minutes Richard Phillips was at my house. He told me he could come out at 8:00 on Saturday morning. Wow 15 hours! Richard was on site with his amazing crew Christian, Brandon, and Victor. They worked all day Saturday. The work was excellent! Friendly to my neighbor, cleanup, and a professional attitude from start to finish. I would totally recommend nd Greenworks and Richard in the future! Thanks guys. Great job!

My husband had called green works and got a quote back in October this company was by far the cheapest and I mean by a LOOONG SHOT, other companies were wanting to charge me over $2000 to have a tree taken down.. i just called them 2 weeks ago and they came out last week and cut the tree down took all the limbs and brush.. and left the bottom part of the tree like I had asked them to do.. they only charged me $600 to take this tree down!! Very professional in their cleanup. You wouldnt have known they were even there, except for the huge open area, where the tree used to be. They had to work in a tight spot, with a ditch, chain link fence, and a pool, with in 15 of the tree. Very reasonably priced, also.

I just had two absolutely huge trees cut down by this company and am very pleased with their work. My deck was built around one tree and the other one was by the front of my house. Both had to be removed with extreme care and precision which they were able to do by using a huge crane. They took their time and were very careful with the deck, house and yard. They were very pleasant and Richard,the owner, worked right along with his crew which was impressive.His office person, Becky, was also pleasant. I would highly recommend this company and will certainly have them do any future work for me.

This company...I don t even know where to begin...I was home, unfortunately, a few weeks ago when a huge gust of when came through the Iroquois Park area. It sounded like a train, followed by the loudest boom I ve ever heard. It was just around the time that I d normally be home from work, with my 8 and 11 year old daughters. Thank God my mom wanted to pick them up from school that day, if not, it would have been play time and then homework time and they would have been in the backyard on the playground or deck, and they would be dead, and our dog would be too. Thank God I was home and inside, and they weren t there. Let me get back on track. The kids were not there, but my short story hopefully sheds some light on how huge this tree was. It took out my entire deck, flattening it to the ground. It broke our wooden swing set in half, it flattened our picnic table. It also flattened the roof above our master bedroom and basement, destroying our attic, interfering with electricity, phone wires, water lines, etc. Our insurance company seemed to want to do things out of order. They wanted several tree removal quotes, but also wanted a tarp on our roof so we didn t encounter any additional internal damage. We entertained several quotes, but we knew right away we wanted to go with this company after meeting with Richard. Richard looked at the entire picture . Yes, one large tree fell, but it also took down lots of other large and dangerous limbs (from surrounding trees) on the way down. Richard knew that these branches and limbs needed to be taken care of too, to avoid future damage. Likely in the near future type of damage. The insurance adjustor trusted him and understood what he was trying to do. She approved his quote right away. I was able to work from home the day or the tree removal, and let me tell you, I was amazed! I watched all day long. The tools, the employees, and the communication were a sight to see! These guys definitely know what they are doing. If anybody ever has any questions about this company, or others, please let me know. I have a bit of experience. This is the 4th giant Oak tree we ve had removed, and this was the best process and removal I ve ever seen.
