My guy Jeremiah was on time and really efficient. He was only here an hour and he baited my whole house for mice. He even explain to me how mice get in the house and how all of the baits and traps worked. I hope he is the guy I get every time I need service.

My landlord used black diamond for services, the services were great. However, black diamonds communication is horrendous. No one showed up for the first inspection, no call/no show to me to let me know this. So I missed work for no reason. When they did do the inspection later, I was told they needed at least 2 treatments. And, they would contact me if my landlord would authorize more he authorized more, they never called to tell me dates or times. BD Showed up for a scheduled appointment (I never agreed to) without calling while I was at work they apologized for the confusion and rescheduled. Everything seemed fine. But after rescheduling they just to no call/no show again. After explaining I was no longer interested in their services. They called three more days in a row trying to reschedule, again. Each time they blamed this on the fact they didn t have my phone number, but each time they took my number. And also verified the number.

They re wonderful. They have professional and caring employees!

A five star rating isnt nearly enough for Jeremiah! For those needing an inspection, I suggest you request him. Not only was he polite and professional but his customer service went above & beyond the usual in this day and age. I thought he came out to do an annual inspection but the scheduler had set up an appointment to just inspect & treat ants. So he called the office & had the appointment changed which saved me an additional fee. Not to mention another appointment. On top of that, he did an extremely thorough inspection and pointed out to me water damage, that we didnt know we had, as well as old termite damage that had be removed & possibly hidden by the previous owners. Lastly he reviewed our account history and told me when the house was last treated for termites and when the next treatment was due. BRAVO Black Diamond for having such an amazing inspector!!!

We ve been dealing with roaches for several months. The technicians from Black Diamond kept telling us the infestation wasn t in our condo and finally the management found out they were coming from the neighbors downstairs. Those neighbors are finally getting the problem treated and hopefully we ll be out of the woods soon, but Black Diamond has helped us keep the population down in the meantime and has even come at no charge between treatments. The technicians have given us new information about treating the problem so many times when they ve been here and we ve found them friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. We would definitely recommend Black Diamond for help in controlling pests.

Today, Black Diamond came out to my house for yellow jackets. We have used them at least 4 times for different pest issues and today I realized we probably will use ONLY them for any pest problem we have in the future . First of all, they are very transparent about price as forthright as they can possibly be without knowing how difficult the treatment will be. Then, they re kind and reliable. They scheduled someone to come out same day. Travis was so kind and helpful and, because he couldn t find the spot where yellow jackets were getting into my house, he didn t charge me. When the weather conditions are better to find the bugs, I will definitely be calling them again to get our business. They are awesome!

Black Diamond was contracted to do a home inspection on our home for sale. Their report scared realtors, buyers and lenders as their wording indicated that we had termites; however, when contacted directly they admitted there were NO active termites. They even sent a proposal to do termite treatment when we had that done and had been under warranty for 14 years with no evidence of termites during that time. It has nearly cost us the sale due to their reporting and attempt to get business. As a follow-up to my previous review Black Diamond contacted me to explain the form they completed was required by the lender (VA) and does create much confusion. I appreciated their follow-up, and will state that their pricing was very reasonable.

UPDATE: JUNE 2021 Black Diamond did sod our lawn after the grass died from their chemical mix error. ** Black Diamond canceled all of our services. Mainly due to the initial 1 Star review in May and a few comments I had made to the turf supervisor. I was upset about the yard, but I apologized the next time he came out. We were not notified of the cancelation until an automatic callback after trying to return the turf managers earlier phone call. REVIEW WILL BE AMENDED PENDING COMPLETION OF PROMISE TO REPAIR BOTH YARDS. CHANGED TO 3 STAR IN ORDER TO GET OUR YARD REPAIRED. TURF MANAGER SAID THEY HAD NO MOTIVATION TO FIX OUR YARD SINCE WE ALREADY GAVE A 1 STAR. UPDATE - MAY 2021 CHANGED TO 1 STAR My yard was beautiful, green and lush for spring this year. My 85 y/o dad finally had a beautiful yard at his home in New Albany. Black Diamond came for their usual April spray at both of our homes. (within the same week.) Within two weeks, BOTH of our yards were brown with no more growth. Black Diamond was called back. They only had an idea what happened. As PROFESSIONALS, a possible hot chemical mix applied to multiple clients yards is completely UNACCEPTABLE and INEXCUSABLE. Dan, the turf supervisor, was understanding to our issue.

We called Black Diamond after finding two black Widow spiders in our garage and having a three year old grandson we wanted to make sure he was safe. They were very professional and accommodating from scheduling all the way to delivering a great application of a very effective solution. We even had to call at the last minute and reschedule because I looked at my schedule wrong. The technician they sent was a very pleasant and polite young man that listened to our concern then walked the property and applied a spray inside and outside the house and pole barn. The product itself was not at all offensive smelling and did not cause any unwanted results but was very effective at taking care of the spiders and as a side benefit helped with other insects as well. I would not normally take the time to write a review, especially this long, and I hope you don t need a pest control company, but if you do I would highly recommend Black Diamond for their professionalism, knowledge and products.

Yesterday, Hwy 60 in Kentucky between Hawesville and Hardinsburg, I came across one of these guys on the road doing 50 in a 55. Looked to be messing with his phone (could see him in his side mirror looking up at the road periodically). He slowed to 45 then back up to 55. Finally came to a passing zone and went to pass him. He gunned it! Wouldnt let me pass! When I gave up he slowed back down. By the time the passing zone ended we were back down to 45 again. He was no longer looking at his phone but me. Continued to speed up then slow down for miles! Not a soul but he and I on the road excepton comingtraffic. Every time it was safe to pass hed speed up to 60+ then slow to 45. Finally he went to turn and even though he had his own turn lane with a green light and no other vehicles he chose the slam on is breaks in my lane (I was in the straight lane) then jerk his van into the turn lane. BRAKE CHECKING A BIG TRUCK IS A BAD IDEA!

Black Diamond Pest Control has kept the bugs at bay at our house for years! When a parade of ants came into our attached garage to eat the feral cats food, I called for a redo around the garage. They not only re-sprayed around the garage, but sprayed around the whole house again at no charge within 90 days, Black Diamond definitely wants to serve their customers!

I have a very difficult lawn to treat - very hilly backyard with many large trees and several small grassy areas that need special attention. My technician covers every inch of it taking care not to harm existing shrubs or flower beds. My lawn has never looked better. Thank you Dominick, thank you Black Diamond.

During the home inspection at our new address the inspector noted mice activity in the attic. I called Black Diamond, and from the initial call, which was handled in a professional and warm manner, through the commencement of our service, Ive had a very satisfactory experience with their work. Josh P. came out and did a really informative animal evaluation for us; Paul came out to do our initial treatment and carefully checked every detail and thoroughly baited to get us started out strong on our mice defense.

We had Josh Passmore come out to our home today for an inspection and could not have had a better experience. Josh was thorough, kind, and honest. We discussed treatment options as well as expectations. He listened to my concerns and walked me through how Black Diamond could address them. I can not recommend Black Diamond and Josh Passmore enough!

We have used Black Diamond Pest Control for about 2 years now. They do an amazing job! We use their termite prevent and have them spray for ants. Before we called them we had a serious ant problem. It didnt matter how much we cleaned or sprayed inside they would not go away! Once Black Diamond came out a few times, we hardly ever see any ants. If we do, we call them, and they will come spray inside and out and put bait out. It was the best decision we could make! Their employees are all very professional and polite as well! They are sure to wear booties anytime they come into the house to make sure they dont track anything in!

Black Diamond is a very customer oriented company. Julie was our customer service rep. She was great as was the tech who did the work at our home. I would highly recommend Black Diamond.

I signed up for pest control quarterly and mosquito service less than a year ago via email. They gave me a price and stated in the email exactly this regarding pest control: PCQ We will provide pest control treatment every three months on the exterior and interior of home (garage, etc.) at a cost of $103.00 per service. This service has a full warranty for the covered insects. Please contact our office if service is needed in between regular visits. Do you agree to the terms of this ongoing service as I have described? They have been treating my house, garage and shed every trip till this last time when the technician said only the house was on the receipt. In order to continue spraying the garage and shed, itd be $133.00 going forward. Instead of just saying they made a mistake (or lied, who knows?) when setting me up initially, they just defend their pricing. Im not even arguing the pricing. I just want them to acknowledge that I was sold one thing and then months later they changed. Clearly someone made a mistake at Black Diamond so be aware that when they sell you on what all they plan on treating, it is probably incorrect. Instead of admitting that, they will just act like youre lying. Another gripe Ive had is that they dont notify you when they schedule an appointment ahead of time. Youll randomly get a call that your technician is 30 minutes away. So if you arent retired or dont work from home, that is an issue you may want to consider. The only positive thing is that the mosquito service really made a difference. They arent worth the hassle though when there are so many other options and I prefer to keep all of my pest control services with one company. Update: On 3/20, the technician told me that I needed to pay $133 instead of $103 going forward, contrary to the original agreement. However, since he was already there, he said he could go ahead and spray everywhere this time only. I decided I was going to cancel due to the contradiction, so I said he didn t have to do anything and just leave. A supervisor reached out immediately and doubled down on the price increase. He reemphasized that my garage and shed were not covered. After I read him the email I had from signup, the conversation ended, and said he d cancel my service. I signed up elsewhere and the new company came out and fixed everything within a couple days. I received calls from Black Diamond on 3/25 and 3/27 from management and they wanted to talk about the reviews I posted online. In these calls, they did offer to come out to treat everything and told me that the technician and supervisor were incorrect about needing to increase the price from $103 to $133. I was told the garage and shed were, in fact, covered, just like I said. At this point I had already cancelled and signed up with another company so there was nothing left to fix; hence the offer was denied. The one off service was for ants in the house (which are covered) and boxelder beetles in the shed (which are not covered). I have had them come twice in between services for ants because they have been unable to stop them. I did not mention this because it was irrelevant. As I mentioned, they were trying to make me pay more for general pest service, which is what my review was about. Once they told me the boxelder beetles were not covered, I never mentioned it again and couldn t care less about it. They keep bringing up the pest warranty and boxelder beetles as misdirection, as I have no issue with either. I was never informed about the notice of arrival options, till the call on 3/27. I had complained about this before, but it was never offered. Had I been aware of this option, I would have utilized it. The misunderstanding is not about the pest warranty. The issue is the attempted price increase from $103 to $133 which contradicted the initial agreement. Management acknowledged this on the 3/25 and 3/27 calls. I believe in the potential for companies in this area to provide excellent service, and I ll continue to share my experiences to contribute to that goal.

They were very prompt and very professional

I used this company for about 3 years. At first they were great. I got a basic spray treatment and 2 mouse bait traps on the outside of my house. They spent about 45 minutes at my house each visit and the work was done properly. Then the amount of time they were at my house for each visit kept reducing until the worker was only at my house for about 15 minutes for multiple visits in a row. At a price of around $100 per visit, that equates to about $400 per hour for this basic service. When I called to cancel my service I spoke to a manager and I asked about how I could continue to refill the mouse bait myself and he informed me that they could not provide me with a key to the traps as you have to be a licensed professional to operate them. He also told me that you can t even buy the bait for them unless you are a licensed professional. The next day I went to my local hardware store and bought the EXACT bait that this company uses for these traps, and a simple screw driver will open the traps as well. I was completely lied to by a manager just to try and keep me as a customer for a service that I was being overcharged for to begin with. Don t waste your money on this company, there are much better options with way better customer service and standards. UPDATE: Per Black Diamonds reply below. The day after I left this review a manager contacted me about changing my 1 star review and he did say they would come treat a wasp problem (which they have already unsuccessfully treated multiple times over the past several years) at my home once the weather got warmer. The manager and I BOTH agreed the best time would be in April as there is no wasp activity right now and will not be until the temperatures are consistently warmer. He then asked if I would go ahead and change this review to a more positive one before they come out to perform the service. I said I would not change my review until the new promised service was completed and the wasp issue was resolved. I was then told I would be contacted at a later date to schedule the new appointment. The manager, within minutes, called me back wanting me to immediately schedule my appointment and not wait until April like we had already agreed is necessary. ***He told me the longer I leave this review up the more people will be able to read it.*** It s pretty obvious that Black Diamonds main concern here is getting people to change a bad review into a good review and not actually to provide good, quality customer service as they promise they will. BUYER BEWARE, don t let the 4.9 review on Google fool you. This company clearly contacts anyone who doesn t leave them a 5 star review, promises to address any issues IF the customer will immediately change their review to a 5 star. They then fail to follow through. It was very obvious as soon as they reached out to me that their main concern was getting me to change my review. From top to bottom, THIS COMPANY CAN NOT BE TRUSTED!!!

Black Diamond gave me a 90 day warranty on my mouse extermination service. I called them right at the 60 day mark (honestly because Im paranoid and got scared lol) The technician Matt B was very nice, whispered the entire time he was in my home because my toddler was napping, was never condescending or patronizing like alot of men in the profession can be, and he helped me sign up for a quarterly service while honoring the original price the first technician Molly quoted me at. (Molly was absolutely fabulous when she came as well. Smart, friendly, not afraid to get dirty, took my concerns very serious, and was SO CAREFUL around my tiny cluttered house full of expensive antiques, even with a giant ladder lol). The phone agents are also exceptional, full of knowledge, so nice, and seem like they love their jobs.
