We’ve used Weedman for over a year. Our yard has horrible soil and we could never get the grass to look healthy and thick. We’ve had the aeration and overseeding done both last year and this year and have seen substantial improvement - even our neighbors have noticed. We couldn’t be happier with the results!
We have been using Weedman's service for several years and have been very happy with the results. They are always prompt and professional. The office staff is good with answering questions and scheduling extra services.
I give two stars with the positive stars being awarded for the service technicians showing up timely and performing the applications in a professional manner. The reason that the additional three stars were removed were that after several years of treatment my lawn is only marginally improved with weeds still remaining in the yard. The absolute worst of it was improved but the result over such a period of time leaves much to be desired. Additionally, when I first attempted to cancel my services, the request was not honored, and I remained on the schedule. It was only after receiving a text message about an upcoming service in the next couple of days that led me to discover that they had not terminated my services. I had to call and cancel services a second time. During that call I had to ask at least three follow-up questions to finally get their agent to confirm that I will no longer receive any services at any point in the future. I recorded the phone call and would recommend others do the same as it took a lot to get a straight answer to my questions. Despite the services being performed timely and professionally, I'd still recommend against utilizing this company as the product just isn't up to par and due to the difficulty in stopping services.

I thought paying more for their services would be worth it, but after two seasons of disappointment, I’m finding another company that truly gets rid of your weeds. They claimed they returned to retreat but the weeds are still present and much larger. I am highly dissatisfied! I’m going to hire who my neighbors use!
Have had several lawn service companies since moving here. I began WeedMan Service this year because I could tailor service to my wants. Austin, my WeedMan tech, has been great! He always checks first, we discuss my concerns and he takes care of it. He listens and fixes. He checks to see I’m satisfied. I am and I recommend WeedMan if you’re not satisfied with your current provider or are looking for a lawn service provider..
Don’t waste your money. Would give a negative star if I could. We’ve had nothing but issues with them since the beginning. Customer service was rude and never follows up on concerns. We’ve had more weeds than ever in our yard and more brown spots then ever. When talking to the owner about our concerns while trying to cancel our subscription as we are very dissatisfied, he is be littling and won’t cancel our subscription. He offered mole service as a “I’m sorry” and it did nothing as well. We still have moles galore. Worst service and customer service experience ever.
I started service in May when I put my house on the market to sell. My entire front yard was nothing but weeds and dead spots. Within 3 days they sprayed the weeds and two weeks later fertilized, which was a special request since they normally don't do so close together. By the end of that month the yard was full Of vibrant green Lush grass. I am happy to say I have sold the house and I am moving forward thanks to Weed Man!

Weed man has came to my house to spray twice and I have seen no significant change other than that the crab grass continuing to spread. Don t waste your money. It s a scam.

Homebuyer Beware! See their Angies list reviews, as well. No visible reduction in weeds. Specifically hired them because I had a problem with creeping Charlie/ground ivy and their treatment did nothing for this, so I had to handle it myself. Found out I was being overcharged because for over a year they were treating a large area that wasnt even my property (Common area managed by HOA). Performed services after I had cancelled by phone and continued to charge me. Called to explain the issue and dispute the bill, and they said the best they could do was settle for half the amount they said I owed. Then a month later I got another invoice for the balance. Do not do business with this company. They keep horrible records, and you pay the price. Edit: I requested cancellation in either September or October, whenever it was that they called to offer aeration services.
Weed Man will have your lawn weed free..and looking Beautiful.. BUT they are a bit pricey $$$..
This has been one of the most annoying experiences with a company that I have had in a long time. The customer service quality is horrible. After paying up front(online quote) cost of just under $400 back in March for 6 treatments which of course, then began in April, I quickly realized Id made a huge mistake. First off, no one reached out to me to introduce the company, discuss the services or let me know what to expect. I had to call them and the person on the phone initially provided incorrect information because she didnt pull up my account to know what services I paid for. I wasnt initially aware that they did not schedule appointments or at the minimum provide a time frame for when they would be accessing my property. I am not one to allow access to my property without my presence for any reason. Not only is this a potential safety and or liability issue, I prefer to monitor any work done to ensure it is completed and that the quality is to my liking. Well after the company showed up last week without my presence for my second treatment, they were unable to access my back yard due to a locked gate. Therefore, my backyard was left untreated. After, unsuccessfully trying to get my backyard treatment re-scheduled for a day and time that works for me, I was able to speak with the manager who reassured me that I would get a 2 week notification email prior to their arrival and that he personally would provide a time frame for all future appointments. The same afternoon/evening(yesterday), right after I spoke with the manager and cancelled the appointment for yesterday, I received a text message. The message asked what day works best for me. I replied with Wednesday. The very next day (which is actually today) I received a text message that someone would be out to my home today. I waited around all day long until 5:00 and no one showed up nor did I receive any notifications. I called and left a VM for the Manager requesting a call back. He did call back within 5-10 minutes. Upon explaining to him what happened, he proceeded to tell me that the text message I received was worded wrong and it should have been a 2 week message like we had discussed. As if I should have known or that was good justification for the miscommunication. I tell him that I would like to proceed with cancelling my subscription and getting a refund as initially discussed 2 days ago. That this service just isnt going to work for me. He got kinda huffy with me and told me he tried to work with me and he doesnt know what else I want him to do. I was supposed to receive an email confirmation today 5/8 verifying my subscription cancellation but so far nothing. I just hope I receive my refund for the remaining 4.5 treatments left on the account without any further issues or future charges to the account. This company definitely needs to continue building on its communications and customer service qualities. To be continued.... 5/9 No means No Weed Man! This company is delusional and high off of their own fertilizer. Looks like they are not going to cancel my subscription, provide detailed evidence of services being cancelled, and most likely not returning my refund. A technician named Rodney was seen on camera this morning at approximately 10:00am without any warning or notification that someone would be on the property. When he once again, realized he did not have access to the back yard because of a locked gate, he called me to say he was there to treat my backyard. I let him know that I wasnt home AND I cancelled my subscription (once again) YESTERDAY! He says okay and proceeds to his truck where he sits for approximately 3 minutes. Then, I get an email notification of the service being completed . . I only wish I was making this up! He clearly did not and could not complete the service. Now the GM has e-mailed me requesting that I remove my review. He also stated that Rodney took care of me yesterday. It seems that the company can add integrity to the growing list of issues their facing.

I hate to give bad reviews, but I asked for a quote 2 years ago. They were nice but we went with another company. For 2 years now, they keep calling me. Initially it was weekly calls, then it moved to less frequent. I thought they finally stopped but then I got another call. Know that if you call them just for pricing, they will harass you for years.

I would give them zero stars if I could. We received a flyer for a discounted rate for weed man recent,y. We were so excited since we really needed help with our lawn since wild animals have destroyed our lawn mower. My partner called to request rates and they said they do not offer mowing and they did not service our area. What kind of lawn care service doesn t offer mowing? Also, why advertise in a location you refuse to service? Anyways, just like their name, their customer service is a joke. Still looking for reliable lawn care who is actually true to their word and won t spam people with false advertisement.
When I was looking for a new company this year for fertilization, I chose Weed man and I am glad I did. My lawn loos the best it has in years. The guy that does our service, Cannon, is awesome. He is always super polite and respectful. I am glad I chose weed man!!
Save your money, there s zero difference in my lawn and they didn t even take care of spraying the poison ivy on our fence line. Which was the whole purpose of using this service. Called multiple times and they said they d have someone come back. And they do come back just to put a sign in the yard and leave. My gates locked so there s no way they could get back there. Finally just called for a refund, they only offer to send someone back out which is ridiculous when I just want my money back at this point SINCE NOTHING WAS ACCOMPLISHED.
Everyone there has been very encouraging and kind to me. Have shown lots of grace and really helps with what I m struggling with. Their service is also the best on the market and I definitely recommend using them

Weedman has been a great change from the prior lawn service I used. They show up, are professional, apply the treatment, and leave analysis of my lawn my yard looks fantastic! I had to pay a little extra, but you get what you pay for. In this case however, it shows with Weedman. Could not be happier with the results.

Do not waste your time or money with this company. I was told, they would power seed and aerate my lawn. They did aerate the lawn, and then did broadcast seeding. I still have bare spots in my lawn. I would give them a minus 2 star if it was available.
If I could give this service no stars I would. I know several people this same situation happened to. They came out and only did partial work, when I called to alert them they sent out the guy again. He sat in his truck, played on his phone, and then drove off. They continuously call me and harass to pay for this service to which I explain to them continuously I will not pay for something that was never done I the first place. Run from this company.
Came to the house knocked on door at 8 pm when trying to get my kid to sleep. When I told them I didnt want anything they threw the flyer for their business in my landscaping. I would never use this business!
Used this service for a year. The people on the phone when I called in were courteous enough. The service was adequate and I saw reasonable improvements in most of my lawn/turf quality. The price for the service was fair from other quotes I received. That said, leaving a mixed review because they auto-renewed my service without my permission for a house I no longer own and asked me to call in to cancel the renewal. What a remarkably questionable move. I would not have even known the auto-renewal happened if it wasnt for a forwarded letter I received in the mail this past week for services that would have started and been billed within a month or two - and when my last contact with them was Fall of last year for the last treatment as part of my original plan.
They advertised on Facebook an application for $24.99. When I called to get the application I was told I couldn t get it unless I signed up for seven applications. That was not indicated on Facebook. I can t believe he would turn down a potential future customer.

I would not use this company. We signed up to have them fertilize the lawn and it has been a mess trying to cancel. We found out that due to some drainage issues the builders would be re-grading our land. So we wanted to cancel service until they were done so we didn t pay for something that was gonna be destroyed. They still sent a technician out who I told we were waiting he said no problem the service would be on hold and they would not come out. My husband called to cancel to make sure that no one would come out again until after they were done grading the yard and was told we could not cancel because that person was not in the office that handled that. Then they sent another technician out even though we were told the service was on hold. I feel like this was very shady as we thought no one would be out but they did and I got a bill.
I used the company for 1 season. Thought they did a good job. However I had to cancel their service and now they wont stop sending me emails. Tried to unsubscribe from them but keep getting a failure notice. Called and emailed them numerous times but the emails keep coming.
The owner is not only friendly, but will everything he can to ensure quality of service.

They literally called me and hung up after I told them I didnt know why they were calling me. No apologies, or excuse me, just rude abrupt hang up. Glad I dodged a bullet with this company. Update: Its been 5 years since this review and they still call me all the time and harass me. Ive told them to never call again and yet they still do, so beware, if you sign up and decide you dont want them, theyll harass you forever.

I have called their main office, spoke to a lady who helped me cancel any future services, confirmed with me that I had cancelled the service and they are still coming out and servicing my property. I NO LONGER want to use WEEDMAN as my lawn service. They wont go away!! I keep getting charged for what I DO NOT want! Please answer my calls. Please answer my emails. Weedman is a scam. I hired them for one summer to spray for mosquitos. This was done with one lump payment made for 6-7 monthly services. The actual service at that time was fine. The problem is they came back on their own accord this summer and apparently sprayed without consulting me first and are now demanding payment. They state I was advised they would continue to come out every year & I was not. I have asked for them to send me the recording where I was advised of this and have been ignored. They just continue to send invoices only. I have now contacted multiple times to resolve and have gotten no emails back. Save your money and choose an honest company.
Don t trust this company. They are just thieves! Won t do any work and ask for payments. Total cheaters! Just don t fall in their trap. They never show up and put false bills to your door.
Please do not use this company. They claim that my 20 year old autistic son signed us up for service. And they claim that they placed an application in our yard and now want us to pay them. We already have a service and my son isn t capable of making decisions. This is one of the most despicable business/sales scams that I ve encountered. Also I noticed you put someone s personal address on another review- I will take legal action if you do this with me.

I paid for service and canceled like I was suppose to do. They still came out and sprayed when I was out of town called me to get in my fence and I told them to stop coming out that i canceled several times thru a phone call.I keep getting notices and now charging late fees on something I already canceled several times. I would not recommend Weed Man. I had a very healthy lawn. I noticed in August my lawn started dying turning brown. This happened right after Weed Man sprayed herbicides & broadleaf control on my lawn. I called Weed Man & they immediately stated it was Army Worms. I did the test of applying soap & warm water on the affected areas & no army worms appeared. Tom from Weed Man came out to inspect my lawn & he stated the problem was Army Worms. My neighbors yards have no evidence of army worms. I think Weed Man over sprayed my lawn with the Herbicides. I had an Agronomy expert look at my lawn & he concluded the damage appeared to be caused by chemical burn. We have canceled this service!
Paul, the Weedman weed/fertilization worker, did an excellent job covering every inch of my yard. I ve heard other people complain about other companies that skimp on the use of their chemicals. That s why I am careful to be aware of the service that I am getting. That is not the case with Paul. Also, the person who answers the phone is very professional and always quickly calls back if I can t immediately get through on the phone. Another excellent worker. I ve noticed this over the years. It s nice to get what you pay for.

I had to cancel my Weed Man service due to some financial concerns I was having. They were pretty understanding and didn t give me a hard time with cancellation. I had one invoice from January to pay which was a surprise to me because I thought they had a card on file. I hadn t gotten around to calling them to resolve the overdue bill when they showed up to perform another treatment - two weeks after the cancellation. I received another bill and someone explained that I owed for both services. I was upset about this, but got a call promptly from the general manager to fix the issue. I hope to use them again down the road when I can afford it again.
Neighborhood displays No Soliciting signs at entrances. Weed Man has been through multiple times over the years and has ignored the signs and requests to leave.
Complete waste of money.
They tried to charge me a bunch of money for service they did not do. After fighting with them over the phone a couple of times they agreed to stop bothering me if I gave them $20.
They said I was on automatic yearly payment and then I receive a call this year stating I am past due. I am never past due on any bills and did not appreciate that. Also they killed some of my Holly trees and couldve cared less. I wasnt asking for anything except acknowledgement that they killed them and be careful as to not kill anymore.
Came to look at my terrible lawn. Laid out all the options I had to fix the issues I have with ny lawn. Came right on time. Extremely professional and thorough with explaining what needs to be done. Set realistic expectations.
We moved and called and alerted them to transfer. They then treated the old house again. I called again and they said they would come treat the new house since they charged my credit card. They never did. I called again and they then came and treated the old house a second time. Im now contesting with the credit card company and have canceled my service.

I stopped service with them. Ive asked multiple times to be removed from the call list. They continue to call and ask if I would like to sign back up for the lawn service. The answer is still NO.
We tried really hard to use this company after a recommendation from a neighbor. We called Weedman and got a quote, wanted to start service. They said they would be out in 7-10 days. Called after 10 days and they said it would be another week. Called after a week and still no show and they said they would be out that Friday (3-4 days out from the day I called) No show on Friday. Called back Yesterday when the guy was in our cul de sac but then left. Said he was probably going to do another job in our neighborhood and come back. NO SHOW. Called back again and told them to cancel. They said he will be out today for sure!! NO SHOW. Then called me at the end of the day to tell me that they had measured and quoted us wrong and it would be quadruple the price even though I told them the acreage when they did the quote. So all in all a month of our time completely wasted on this company.
We have been pleased with Weed Man as they have serviced our yard for more than 10 years. They are always responsive to any request and quick to provide answers to any questions. We recently had our last weed treatment and the service tech allowed me to rake up the leaves in the front yard before he sprayed so the treatment would have maximum effect. I think we have one of, if not the, best looking yards in our area.

2018: Called to start services and paid for the year. I was told someone would be out with 7-10 days, 21 days later I called and asked why no one had been out. They said they didn t have me on their schedule but that they d get me on and have someone out within a week. At this time I asked for a refund and stated that I did not want their services. They apologized and said it would take 6 weeks for a refund to appear in my account. It s been 7 weeks and still no refund, I called yet again asking where my money was and they stated that it needed to be asked for-since I was calling back they d get it processed. So basically you need to call them and remind them to do their job... 2019: Was called by weed man to continue services today, I asked if wed used them for all our services last year (as I couldnt remember) and they told me yes. Got to thinking and checked our bank history and was reminded of how horrible this company was. Called them back and informed them I did not appreciate being lied to and to once and for all take me off their call list (they have called me over and over throughout the past year, each time I tell them to stop calling)
If you sign up for service with Weed Man be prepared to get a lot of phone calls wanting you to sign up for additional services. They will call multiple times a night within a few hours until you break down and answer the phone. Up until a few months ago I had been a customer for over 3 years. I had asked to be put on their do not call list several times. Each time the guy told me they would not call back. Finally, I told the guy if he calls back I would cancel service. Of course he called back and I cancelled service. They are still calling me.... I just received another phone call last week. I am no longer a customer and my phone number is register with the Do Not Call. I have already reported the number with Federal Trade Commission and I am prepared to take legal action if this happens again. LEAVE ME ALONE

My lawn started off covered in weeds this spring and Weedman has sprayed twice now and I have absolutely no weeds anywhere. I m pleased with the results so definitely worth the money. Called the office to make a payment. Spoke to Jonathon. Very professional and courteous as well. Will definitely continue to use them.

Our lawn looks great with Weedmans services. I would really like the convenience of online services, but I have been unable to access these services after many efforts. Very pleased, overall, with the lawn service.
My yard was really looking rough, and has significantly improved in both overall health and blade density. I am very happy with the monthly news letter, the open portal for billing and account options, and the professional and friendly service providers. I would highly recommend Weed Man to anyone looking to keep their yard in top conditions!

A very good lawn care and they mean what they say.
Their sales pitch was that they and their product was much better than that other guy I was using, and my lawn would be evidence of that. So I switched, and I paid more. The result? Not much difference. And their pricing for aeration makes no sense. The price quoted was for my entire yard. I wanted only a much smaller portion of my front yard done. The price for that was more than half of doing the entire lawn even though the area I wanted done is less than a fifth the area of my entire lawn. Just doesnt make sense. Communication was poor and at least 4 different people were involved, none of them informed of my concern prior to contacting me. I have since quit them.

Terrible, they tried to charge me (twice) after I cancelled their business. Now they have an automated answering machine where you cannot talk to a person... not that does really matter...

After emailing a request for quote, (I did not ask for a phone call) from Angies list. I received a call from Bob with Weedman, who went into his sales pitch, (after I asked him to email the services offered and a quote for each application). I also told Bob I was in a meeting and could not talk which was why I requested the quote be emailed. Tis was in vain.... after yet another attempted sales pitch and offer to close the sale, I again asked if he could provide me pricing, via email, for specific services sent to my email address. He confirmed my home address, and my first name and again tried to close a sale with just the first service for $ XX.00. My response was no, you do not have my permission to treat my lawn, but you do have my permission to email what i asked for. I placed the call on speaker phone, for the group at the meeting I was attending, so they all could hear Bob, and I let Bob know I ws doing that. He said hello to everyone and then Bob, tried yet again... to close a sale, he advised me the call may be recorded for training purposes, it was then I told Bob I had no more time to hear his sales benefits, (thus his attempts at closing a sale) and looked forward to his email, if that was possible. Is this possible in todays business world? Oh my....
We have used 2 different lawn care company s. Our yard did not look good. So we tried weed man starting later part of 2017! And the yard looks better with no dandelions or crab grass. The gentlemen ( Anthony) calls and lets us know he is coming. I don t understand why there is bad reviews? They have a 5 star with us.

Customer service is top notch with these guys. They are always extremely friendly and any issue I have ever had has been quickly cared for. My only two reasons not to give 5 stars is I think the service is a bit expensive for what you get and also I have had issues with my dogs. I have two small dogs that need to be put up before my back yard can be treated because of the chemicals. I am on a call list so they can let me know a day before they come out but often I am never notified. Then I have to call to schedule a time for them to come back out to treat my backyard. Again relatively small issues but enough to create an annoyance. I would definitely recommend Weed Man though.

Very responsive and professional. It is nice to just be able to trust treatments to happen on schedule for one low monthly price.
When called about aeration, Weedman was told we did not want this service. It was done anyway. We called about the unwanted service and was told we would not be billed. The company was also told we no longer wanted the Weedman service. Today they treated our yard and a bill was left for both unwanted services. Another call was placed to the company and the lady that answered seemed to confused. I would never use their services and never recommend them.

Do Not Hire! Poor service, incomplete applications, no follow up, faulty billing. Anything that a service business could do wrong, they did - and often multiple times. I hired this service a couple of summers ago. They offered a good price and the ability to cancel at any time. After two incomplete and ineffective applications, I attempted to cancel. Several emails and phone calls later, (each expressing my wish to cancel), they treated my lawn and charged me for it. After not paying for the application, I received a call that offered to cancel my service if I paid for the last one. I agreed... Two months later, Weed Man came out and treated my lawn again without my authorization and against my wishes - and again sent me a bill. I spoke with the manager several times throughout this ordeal, and was assured each time it would be taken care of. Never was - I ended up paying for the application two years later to clean up what they reported to the credit bureau. Numerous reports throughout Louisville and the state of Kentucky with similar issues. Buyer Beware!
Shady showed up 2 months later then all they did was killed my flowers told them not to come back came back 2 more times cant talk to a supervisor give you the run around a total scam artists

I use Weed Man Lawn Care and they have done an excellent job out on my lawn! I trusted Weed Man and followed their advice. I had a nutsedge problem and they came out and treated it twice. After that almost all of the sedge was gone, for the rest that was left they gave me another application for free! After the spring aeration and over seed I received my lawn was completely turned around. I couldnt ask for a better service and I thank them so much! Its a shame people get on here and complain just because they dont want to trust a company. Lawn Care takes time no matter what and if you want to speed up the process up you need to do more than just get fertilizers and weed controls!
Ive had great results with Weedman. They have been easy to deal with and my lawn looks awesome.
They keep calling..... Ive not used them for years but like a good clock, I can count on them calling me back. Even after I have asked them to stop calling.
My family uses this product and it is very good because,it is nice to play in the yard without any weeds.

Not good service. They told me they were going to contact me for the first inspection/treatment for me to be able to explained where I needed it the most and they didnt contact me. They said they treated it but I found out they did when I received the bill. I called and complained and ask for them not to come again because of the poor service and quality but they came again because they send me another bill. I will NEVER use them again.
Awful! Don sign up, they would not cancel the service after numerous calls they just kept coming and billing us for treatments. Thought we had it resolved in the fall but they showed up in February after calling to say they were coming to treat the lawn and I told them we had cancelled in the fall. Guess what they showed up anyway and now they are threatening us with collections. We wanted our weeds treated, no fertilizers and agreed they would come only after preauthorization by phone. All they ever did was fertilize our weeds. What you dont need in life is more stress.
These guys do not do a good job. However my biggest complaint is I could not get them to stop coming or billing. They will not take no for an answer. Every year I tried to quit their services, and every time they would still show up and bill me. Just stay away from them.
Downright CROOKS!! They treated my newly seeded lawn and killed my grass. There was grass seed and starter fertilizer on my yard before they came and they still treated my yard. They still treated my lawn with no authorization. I will never give another person my name and address again to be put on the mailing list. No service was ever authorized for them to do this. I tried to contact them and they would never return any of my phone calls or emails. It was only only when i reported them to the better business bureau did they respond with something other than a bill. Im finding alot more people with this same problem and will seek legal justice. Be warned!!!
This company is top notch! After kicking out that rat that ran the place a few years ago it really turned around. I had a big problem with crabgrass and they cleared it right up.
The had a Groupon published back in March -- after you pay for the Groupon you have to call them to set up an appointment. BUT THEY NEVER ANSWER THEIR PHONE AND THEY NEVER ANSWER THE MESSAGES YOU LEAVE. Weve been calling for two weeks and the phone number always rings until it goes to voicemail. Then when you leave a message no one bothers getting back to you. They may do good work for the customers that they bother serving, but so far Im out $25 for their Groupon and cant even get them to talk to us.
