Ive switched from maxlawn to TRUTCO! You should too!

Turned over a newly soded yard to these guys and now the grass has weeds and patches everywhere. Called to report that one of the employees who fertilized our yard did not fully cover the yard/did a rushed, poor job and haven t seen any improvement since. Hire at your own risk.

Weve switched to Trutco one year ago. Great service. Bryan is doing a great job on our lawn. Always answers any questions and explains everything in detail. Our lawn looks healthy and we are very happy about that!

Trutco lawn service employee Frederick/Erick goes well above what you may expect from a lawn service. He is very knowable and takes the time to review with you whats going on with your lawn. When spraying he actually cover the entire lawn, not taking short cuts. I would highly recommend Erick!

Great company! I called after hours and left a message about some concerns I had in my backyard. They were out the next day, no questions asked, addressing my concerns. They retreated the yard (free) and also checked my sprinklers to make sure my coverage was good. Great prices and they back their product. Give em try if you are in the market. Yard looks amazing!

Trutco is the GOAT in Jax. I had McCall, who was an absolute disaster, before I switched to Trutco. I have seen a monumental difference in my lawn. I also see the specialists that come out spend quality time spraying and inspecting my lawn. They leave helpful tips and notes about when to change watering schedules, how to address bald spots, and seasonal things that I should be aware of. Can t recommend them enough.

Update: It has been a couple of years now, and we are being serviced by Frederick. I usually watch the guys when they come to service our lawn, and most do a decent job . . . and when I first watched Frederick do my lawn, I was more impressed with him than any other - ever! So much so, that I called and requested that he be my permanent guy. Frederick seems to be a committed worker that does his work perfectly. And, we are perfectly happy with him and Trutco. Our lawn was in bad shape after contracting with 2 other companies. After reviving our grass, it has remained gorgeous, even in throughout the scorching summer and dry winter. Trutco goes above and beyond in dependability, quality of care, and customer service. Jerome is our incredible service provider, ALWAYS smiling, friendly and lawn care is clearly his passion as he makes time to answer questions & share his expertise. Service is great, techs take photos if issue and joe the service rep shows up to follow up without even requesting. Never have I had a lawn service who takes photos and compares each time to assure improvement or maintain lawn health.

Sy is my technician and he is great!!! Took time out of his day to explain to me how to fix a drainage issue in my yard. Have had Trutco for a while, and not only after a few applications does the color of the grass start to really pop (you can really tell the difference if you have neighbors that dont use a service), but all weeds are gone too! The weed service is especially great if you are like me and wildly allergic to certain types of weeds. Its nice to go into the backyard and not feel like it could be your last walk :)

After several years of dissatisfaction with other lawn treatment companies, my husband found Trutco. We have been happy customers for about 8 years, and every season, our lawn looks better than the previous year! If I have a question about a potential problem, I call the office (thanks, April!) and she sees to it that someone comes out within a day or two. Today Jerome answered some questions about that pesky sedge, and treated it while he was here. This is outside of the monthly scheduled treatment, and with no gripes from the tech. Jerome was assigned to us and he was on time, detail oriented and even walked the property with me to look for additional any issues after he treated. Switching to Trutco was a really good decision we made for pest control. We had a persistent sugar ant problem, and while it took several weeks to come completely under control, I am happy to say that I haven t seen an ant in my house for a week now! The staff at Trutco have been extremely friendly and they came out at least 5 times in two months to assist with this problem. After seven years with trutco I watch my lawn get worse every year. last yearI was on them about the Nutsedge said they cannot control it it will just come back . In the last two months they did not put on any nitrogen potash or potassium all they did was treat for bugs and put iron on the yard .Also they said the yard would never be right because the canopy wasn t thick enough and they weren t willing to control the weeds . also had problems with the crabgrass they said that can be controlled with a pre-emergent that they have put on for the last seven years and all the crabgrass does is gets worse.

Great service, i was shocked by the way my grass has improved after just 1 treatment. I originally had TruGreen for a little over 2 years, at the beginning i had no issues but towards my breakup from TruGreen my grass was very sluggish and just not lively at all. I did a little research before switching over, Trutco came out and did an estimate in a timely manner. Ended up being cheaper then what i was paying for TruGreen so thats another plus. The tech seems to be very knowledgeable and i am looking forward to my next service and watching my grass get stronger and more greener!

I previously used other companies to maintain my lawn. After they continuously failed, I decided to hire Trutco. Since hiring them my lawn has boomed in terms of growth and and a deep rich color. Their formula is simple: Just follow our watering schedules and we will do the rest. I mow it to their specs and water it to their specs. My lawn is super thick, deep green and grows super fast. I used to hate mowing but now I like it because the yard looks professionally maintained. If your lawn wont grow with their product then you (and not them) are doing something wrong. Stick to their recommendations. <--- The formula works. 27 yr army vet here.

Very, very impressed with this company so far! Their communication on what exactly they are doing each month is fantastic. It is cheaper than I ve been spending on fertilizer and weed treatments myself and the weeds are disappearing. If their prices stay down, I will be a customer for life.

In March 2018 I changed my lawn/shrub service from a big brand-named company as they struggled to control weeds in my yard throughout their service time. I spoke with several lawn/shrub service companies about their service to decide on who I would move to. One company stood out from the others as they stated their service is a monthly service check of my yard prior to application. Before any application, they would then mix on site and apply what it needed at that time as all yards are different with respect to needs. That service approach made sense to me as opposed to my prior service of every other month service of a predetermined service application for my yard (and I suspect other yards); and to call if I had any problems (I called them quite a bit on weeds, etc.) So I decided to give Trutco a chance - and they as I glad! In a February 2019 discussion with my lawn cutting service person regarding mulching of shrub beds, he mentioned that my yard was the only yard that he cuts that he doesnt have any weed, and what was I doing different: I told home Trutco was the change. We are extremely satisfied with Trutco and highly recommend their yard/shrub service.

I spoke with a few companies regarding my lawn. I called Trutco on the advice of a friend who said they do great work. Trutco is a very responsible company to deal with. They recently replaced part of my lawn after agreeing to a botched job by one of the technicians. I highly recommend Trutco! They turned around my St Augustine lawn after it had been neglected for years by the previous owner. I would say what sets them apart is the customer service. April is always quick to respond with any questions you have, they keep you informed of what is going on and when they are coming out to your property. Neil has been a great technician and has gone above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with the results. He really took the time to explain the treatments that were being done. That doesn t stop after they earn your business either, they have come back out and followed up on trouble spots in my yard and retreated as necessary. We started out with them on our new lawn. One year later, weeds were popping up everywhere. When I called to voice my unhappiness, the tech came out to take a look. His reply was for a yard this big, the weeds are considered acceptable. Furthermore he said I could pull out the random weeds by hand and if I wasn t happy to do it, he will come out to do it. He pulled out the weeds I pointed to him and stuffed them into his pocket. He also said that once the lawn is mowed, I wouldn t be able to see the weeds. What kind of logic is that? What really put me off was instead of trying to rectify the situation, he said if I was not happy with their service, I m welcome to try other companies.

2 months ago my yard was weeds and sand with a bit of St Augustine mixed in. After the great service of Trutco, my yard looks fabulous! I ll be the envy of the street, except my son 2 doors down who discovered Trutco first. Thank you Trutco!!

BEWARE! have complained several times about my grass looking thin, weeds, etc. Trutco claims they treat my yard monthly. Today, I watched the service guy spread a little granular in the front yard. He never treated the sides or back yard. He just sat in his truck for a bit then left. Trutco, YOURE FIRED!

Neil is what all service managers should follow when issues with weeds and poor fertilizer application occurs by the technician who came out to treat the lawn. After calling Trutco to complain, Neil comes out and identifies my complaint and treated the lawn properly. Grass is green and weeds are dead. Trutco stands behind their services 100%

By far the best service in the city. Technicians very knowledgeable, yard looks very healthy and in the unlikely event I ask them to come out and look at what might be a potential problem, they schedule a visit for the next day..Matt gets back to you same day if a question plus they give you a text heads up a few days before the next scheduled service..

Not only did they do a great job in saving my yard and making it look really beautiful but they educated me on how to help that happen with watering schedules. Everyone I deal with is really awesome especially April in the office very pleasant and helpful. They sure know what theyre doing and I very much appreciate that!

This review will be a bit over the top, but I mean every word of it: Trutco service and customer service is what I wish all other businesses could deliver! In the office, April is on top of any request or question I ask, and the techs are always kind and responsive. Seriously, THE BEST!

Great service! They show up when they re scheduled and answer questions in a timely manner with an educated explanation and solution. My grass is greener, fuller, and healthier. Their monthly door tag reminds me where to keep the height of my grass and the invoice outlines environmental factors due to weather etc. and what they re doing to combat them. I noticed a difference the first month, but several mo the into it, I m even more satisfied! This is a bit of home ownership I never considered, but i definitely see its value now!

You name it... Ive tried just about every lawn service in Jacksonville for weeds, pesticide, etc... no one was able to bring my backyard back to what it was when we first bought the house. Stay away from FL Pest Control, MaxLawn, Southernlawn, Massey, Trads... none of them did what they said they would do... most importantly many of them falsified work as my backyard cameras caught many of these other companies had their technician look at the backyard and never spray fertilizer, etc... Trutco... is the best lawn service company in our area!

Actually my lawn was too far gone for them to help. But...the representative that came out was honest with me and gave me some professional tips on how to proceed from here. My thoughts were he could have just treated the lawn each month KNOWING that the applications were a moot point. I appreciate that Trutco did otherwise and they will have my business as soon as the color green appears in my yard.

This service used to be 5 stars but Im not overly sure what changed. My lawn looked great and I rarely saw any weeds. I get back from a deployment and I have weeds all over especially on the strip between the sidewalk and road. I have spurge, sedge, broadleaf, some weeds Im not sure of. One particular (3rd from last picture) weed is in approximately 75% of my lawn. Used to be a nice service. They do have customer service.

After using TruGreen for about 8 months with little to no visible results, it was determined that enough was enough. Skeptical about these types of companies, I read the reviews for TrutCo and decided to give them a try. The yard was no prize and after they came out for the first visit, I decided to give them a try. Within 2 treatments, we started to noticed big improvements in the lawn, the grass was growing better then ever and the weeds where disappearing!!! They are very friendly and very knowledgeable! They call the night before each service. I like being able to talk about my lawn with the owner. They make good recommendations on the notes, and my grass has been steadily improving since I started service.

I called the company today to ask for a one-time fertilization and possible insecticide spray for my new St Augustine grass. The guy that answered immediately told me that they did not have time for a one time job, and they were just too busy for one time applications. This was very rude to me. If I had liked the service they provided, a one time application would have become a contract. Horrible customer service skills.

Trutco has helped my lawn so much! I recently had all of my grass replaced with new sod, and was horrified when I noticed brown spots that spread across the whole of it within a week. Matt came out right away, diagnosed the issue, and has been treating it now for just over a month. The fungus is dying off, the brown patches are no longer spreading, and I am looking forward to new growth. Im sure the sod replacement would have been a complete loss without the lawn service Matt provided. Very knowledgable, efficient, pleasant to work with, and a good value. Highly recommend!
